Around their third year of middle school – and his first year of high school – Draken caught wind of someone in their ranks holding damn colosseum-style fight matches. This was one of the drawbacks of growing their group so large, is that keeping a tight leash and monitoring their members was becoming increasingly harder. As usual, Mikey tagged along as they went to where the fights were allegedly staged.

There, he called out to Kiyomasa, whom he vaguely recognized from Pah's division. Pah had a nasty habit of letting in any hothead he was mildly impressed with. The problem was that most hotheads either had some serious anger issues or often went on power trips if they were at least a little skilled in fighting.

Draken was surprised to see Kiyomasa himself brawling it out with some lanky middle-schooler. The boy was all bloodied up, and Draken wouldn't be surprised if he'd chipped a tooth or at least fractured something already.

As they strode down, Draken took his attention off the boy and kicked Kiyomasa in the gut, reminding him to mind his manners in front of Mikey.

Takemichi stood shocked still as the Sano Manjiro swaggered up towards him, squeaking and falling onto his butt pathetically when the other's face drew up close. It was only an instant, but it was enough for Takemichi to come to the stunned realization that Sano Manjiro, the feared leader of the most notorious gang in the future Toman, was not only this small, unassuming middle-schooler who couldn't be more than a year older than him, but he was also clearly an Omega.

He had a gentle scent of wood, rain and sweets emanating from him, nothing Takemichi would have expected, especially compared to the stereotypical Alpha vibes that his Vice-Commander, Draken, was exuding. Nothing about Sano gave off a 'gang boss' feel to him, yet one look into those dark depths in his eyes instilled a sort of intuitive wariness and fear he'd never felt even in the years he suffered as a slave under Kiyomasa.

Intrigued by the seemingly meek boy in front of him, Mikey regarded the earlier flame of resolve that had been burning in the Beta's gaze when he had been staring down certain defeat at Kiyomasa's hands. Curious, he inquired the other's name, and bestowed upon him 'Takemicchi', wiped down the mess that was Kiyomasa, then turned to leave. But not without a promise to play again thrown over his shoulder at Takemicchi.

The next day, Mikey convinced Draken to skip with him after the morning recess to go look for their new friend, Takemicchi. Luckily for him, Draken remembered his school emblem and they managed to locate him fairly easily, though Draken did get somewhat sidetracked by the local delinquents at Takemicchi's school who hadn't taken kindly to strangers waltzing into their territory.

After sequestering Takemicchi off, they were interrupted by a feisty female named Hinata, whose refreshingly citrus-y Omega scent tickled at Mikey's nose. He was momentarily stunned at her audacity in slapping him, and knew immediately that he liked her as he cradled his warming cheek.

After resolving the misunderstanding she had about Mikey and Draken, Hinata beat a hasty and bashful retreat. The male Omega was still smiling casually at her and jokingly rubbing at his cheek with a mock pout, and she giggled in amusement as she went back inside.

She hadn't gotten too close to the other Omega, but she did notice an interesting cloak of Alpha pheromones on the other, not all of which was belonging to the tall, tatted Alpha – Draken – that was there with him. Instead, it smelled like at least 3 or more different Alphas combined.

To smell that much like an Alpha would mean that they had to have purposely scented each other, and no one would let someone do that unwillingly. Hinata wondered if the scents were done on purpose as a way to scare off others, or possibly even mask Mikey's own Omegan scent? Or perhaps it was something else… Oh, she was so intrigued, she loved a good mystery!
