"Are you sure?!" Lucinda asked. She walked to the glass bar near the fireplace when she pulled out the stopper of the glass bottle and she poured the amber liquid into a glass. She placed the stopper back in the top of the glass bottle when she picked up the glass, took a long sip and she held the glass in her right hand.
"Yes, I'm sure," Giovani said with a nod of his head.
"But how is that possible?! Our people in the FBI assured us there was no possible way for them to be released!"
"According to the report, they were broken out of prison."
"By who?!"
"They don't know."
'Then find out!" she said as she stormed toward him then she slapped him in the face. "I want them found and dealt with! Do you understand?!"
"Yes, Mother."
He watched her leave the room as she slammed the glass to the floor then she left the room. He placed his right hand against his cheek as he frowned and a low growl filled his throat.
Safe Haven
"Milan?" Connor asked as he looked at the photographs.
"Yes," Paul said.
"What's the plan?" Romeo asked.
"The plan is pure and simple. You three go in there, shoot things up and you kill him."
"An' get killed doin' it," Murphy grumbled as he shook his head.
"My brudder's right. We need t'do more than that," Connor said.
"Yeah, look at this place. It's a fortress," Romeo said while he spun around the satellite photograph of the compound and he poked the photograph with his right middle finger.
"I counted four guard towers."
"Which means there's guys up there with guns," Murphy said.
"We'd have t'take them out first."
"An' how do you suggest we do that?"
"Well, if we had some rope…"
"No!" Murphy said as he pushed off the desk and he held his hands up. "No fuckin' rope!"
"We're gonna need rope!"
"Guys, do we have to have this conversation now?" Romeo asked.
"Shut up!" the twins said at the same time and Murphy glared at Connor.
"No. Ropes." Murphy said as he poked his left middle finger into Connor's right shoulder.
"We're. Gonna. Need. It," Connor said as he poked his right middle finger into Murphy's left shoulder.
Growling, Murphy pushed Connor then Connor pushed back and Murphy dived on top of him. They rolled on the floor, punching and kicking each other, and Sibeal sighed, rolling his eyes. He and Eunice went to pull the twins apart as Murphy lightly pushed his uncle away and the twins got to their feet.
"Are you done?" Paul asked.
"Aye," Connor said and Murphy nodded his head.
"I have a question," Romeo said while he held his hand up as he sat on the edge of the desk. "If we're gonna do this, how are we gonna be able to move around the city? It's not like we can play tourist."
"He does have a point. These two do tend to stick out in a crowd with the black clothes and the sunglasses," Eunice said while she pointed to Connor and Murphy.
"We have an image t'uphold," Connor said with a grin.
"What about before your calling?"
"What about it?" Murphy asked.
"How did you dress?"
"Like everyone else," Connor said.
"I wasn't talking about what we wear," Romeo said as he sighed. "I'm talking about how we look. Those FBI guys must've sent out our photos or sketches by now."
"You mean like after we killed Yakavetta?" Murphy asked.
"Yeah."
"I'm still pissed off about how th'sketches they did look exactly like us."
"Still wanna dye yer hair blonde?" Connor teased.
"I never said I wanted t'dye it blonde. I said I wanted t'go lighter."
"You mean like my hair?"
"Aye."
"Why didn't you say so?"
"Because you wouldn't stop teasin' me."
"An' you stabbed me."
"I didn't even break th'skin."
"It still fuckin' hurt."
"Guys…. Stay on track," Eunice warned and they nodded. She started pacing as they watched her and she tapped the tip of her left index finger against her lips. She glanced at them from time-to-time when she smiled and Smecker arched an eyebrow. "Yes. That might work."
"What might work?" Paul asked.
"Romeo's idea of them walking around like tourists," she said as she stopped. "True, they can't go off on their own, but they could walk around the city if someone else went with them."
"You want us to chaperone them?"
"No. That's not what I mean. They need to be seen as three couples on vacation."
Romeo, Connor and Murphy looked at each other as they frowned then they looked at Eunice.
"How are we gonna do that?" Romeo asked.
"Simple," she said as she walked to the intercom panel near the door and she pushed the button. "Doctor Traynor, Captain Kane and Miss Lee, report to Agent Smecker's office."
"Why do we need them fer?" Murphy asked.
"You'll see," she said as she folded her arms under her breasts and she smiled.
The upper deck
The doors softly hissed open while Smecker, Eunice and Sibeal walked outside and they stood near the railing. The doors hissed open again as Connor, Murphy and Romeo walked outside and Eunice smiled.
Connor, Murphy and Romeo were wearing jeans, but Connor was wearing a white denim shirt, Murphy wore a black t-shirt with Get the Lead Out in white lettering on the front and a leather jacket was folded over his right arm and Romeo was wearing a light blue linen shirt. Connor had white sneakers on his feet, Murphy had black work boots on his feet and Romeo had black sneakers on his feet. Romeo had let Angelina cut his hair and she had cut his fringe to just above his eyebrows. Murphy smiled while he leaned his right elbow on Connor's left shoulder then he crossed one ankle over the other.
"Where are our "dates"?" Connor asked.
The doors hissed open as Connor, Murphy and Romeo turned around to look at Angelica, Angelina and Angelique and Murphy gently nudged Connor's right side.
Angelique was wearing black jeans, a white linen shirt with a black denim vest over the shirt and white sneakers on her feet and her hair was down.
Angelica was wearing a white t-shirt and dark denim jeans and black ankle boots on her feet. Her hair was draped over her shoulders and she wore a white flat cap on her head.
Angelina was wearing jeans, a white linen shirt and black leather boots on her feet. Her hair was pulled back into a ponytail and Romeo gave her a small grin.
All three women had a black or white purse strapped over one shoulder and Angelique placed on the tinted sunglasses.
"Christ," Connor whispered.
"Lord's name," Murphy warned and Connor nodded.
Smecker walked closer while he walked around Connor, Murphy and Romeo and he scanned them with his eyes. He walked back to Sibeal and Eunice when he leaned against the railing and they waited for him to say something.
"Well?!" Eunice asked.
"I still recognize them," Paul said while he pointed to Connor and Murphy.
"That's why we brought these," Angelique said. She walked to Connor when he lowered his head so she could place the brown felt fedora on his head and she adjusted the fedora slightly before she stood back.
"You wanna wear my leather jacket?" Murphy asked.
"Why?" Connor asked.
"It completes th'look. All you need is a bullwhip."
"Fuck off," Connor said and Murphy lightly laughed while shoving him.
Angelica walked to Murphy when she placed the black baseball cap with This is not a cap… It's a solar panel cover for a sex machine in white letters on it on his head. Standing back, she tilted her head from one side to the other, adjusted the baseball cap then she smiled while she pulled the bill of the baseball cap down a bit. He placed the leather jacket on as he rolled his shoulders and he gave her a wink.
"How's that?" Angelica asked.
"It's a little better," Paul said.
"So, we can go?" Romeo asked.
"Yeah. Just don't put the sunglasses on."
"Ok, Da," Connor teased as he held his right hand out toward Angelique and she looked down at his hand. "We're supposed t'be a couple, remember?"
"Right," she said with a nod then she took hold of his hand. He was slightly stunned with how small her hand felt in his as they headed for the gangplank and Romeo and Angelina followed them.
"You look great," Romeo whispered and Angelina felt the heat of a blush moving over her cheeks.
"Thanks," Angelina whispered as she took his left hand and he wrapped their fingers together.
"Shall we?" Murphy said with a slightly smug look and Angelica softly laughed as she took hold of his right hand and they headed for the gangplank.
Smecker, Eunice and Sibeal watched them walk down the gangplank as Smecker frowned and he crossed his arms over his chest.
"This is not going to end well," Paul said.
"Stop worrying. Those guys can handle anything that's thrown at them," Eunice said.
"That's what I'm afraid of."
They watched him walk off while Eunice and Sibeal looked at each other and Eunice shrugged her shoulders.
Milan
Two hours later, Murphy sat on the wooden chair outside of a café while he watched people moving by and he used the small journal he had brought with him and a pencil to sketch the building in front of him.
"Wouldn't it be easier to take photo?" Angelica asked as she arched the bill of the baseball cap up and he glanced at her. She placed the glass of beer on the table as she sat on the wooden chair across from him and Murphy reached over to take the glass in his right hand.
"I'm not jus' drawin'," he said in a soft voice as he pointed with the pencil at the black sedan sitting at the curb across the street. "That car's been sittin' there fer th'last half an hour."
"So?"
"I noticed four men gettin' out of th'car an' they were all dressed in black suits."
"Ah. That would be suspicious."
"What would?" Romeo asked as he sat on the wooden chair to Murphy's right and Angelina sat on the wooden chair next to Romeo.
"That," Murphy said, pointing with the pencil at the black sedan. He told them about the men as Romeo nodded and Connor sat down on the wooden chair to Murphy's left.
"What do you think they're up to?" Connor asked while Angelique sat on the wooden chair to his right.
"Dunno," Murphy said when the four men he had seen earlier leaving the building and they looked at the men. One of the men was Giovani Yakavetta and Giovani looked around with his eyes.
"Do you think they're drug dealers?" Angelina asked.
"Dunno."
"Maybe we should follow them," Connor said.
"How? We don't have a car."
"We have those."
Murphy looked at the three motorcycles as he arched his eyebrows up and Connor smiled. They stood while Connor kept his eyes on the men and the men got into the car. Connor led Angelique to the motorcycle as she mounted the motorcycle and he frowned.
"Uh…," Connor said.
"Do you know how to ride?" she asked.
'Aye, I do. Move," he said. She moved back on the seat as he mounted the motorcycle then he looked back at her. "You're gonna have t'hold onto me."
"Fine."
She slid her arms around him and she silently admitted she liked holding him.
Romeo didn't mind if Angelina was the one driving as he slid behind her and Angelina felt a small shiver moved through her when he held onto her.
Angelica held onto Murphy's hand as he helped her onto the motorcycle then he mounted the motorcycle and she slid her arms around him.
The motorcycles moved down the street after the car had pulled away from the curb and the driver used the rearview mirror to look at the motorcycles
"I think we're being followed," the driver said.
"Lose them," Giovani said and the driver nodded his head. The driver pushed his foot on the gas pedal as the black sedan moved faster down the street and Giovani looked out the back window. He noticed the three motorcycles following the sedan when one of the motorcycles sped up and the motorcycle went down a side street. One of the other motorcycles went down another side street and the final motorcycle slowed down and Giovani turned to look at the driver. "Guess they weren't following us."
"Sorry, Mister Yakavetta."
"No. It's fine. Now, if my mother had been in the car, she would have killed you for making her worry for no reason."
The driver nodded his head while a small shiver moved through him and the driver made a small whimper.
Connor noticed the black sedan speeding up when he decided to take a side street and he felt Angelique's arms tightening around him.
"Where the hell are you going?!" she shouted over the sound of the engine.
"Trust me," Connor shouted back. He had seen enough action films to know most streets interact with each other. All he needed was the right street to turn down to get in front of the black sedan and he made the motorcycle go faster.
"You're going to lose them!"
"Am not!"
Angelique growled as she internally kicked herself for not driving and she shook her head.
On the other motorcycle, Murphy had seen Connor go down one side street as he went down the other side street and he made the motorcycle go faster.
"What are we doing?" Angelica shouted over the sound of the engine.
"I'm lookin' for a short cut," Murphy shouted.
"You mean for getting in front of the sedan?"
"Aye."
"Sounds nuts, but are you sure we haven't lost them?"
"No, I'm not sure. Jus' hang on."
Angelica nodded while she held on tighter to him and Murphy made the motorcycle go faster.
On the third motorcycle, Romeo looked around Angelina as she kept a safe distance from the black sedan and he placed his chin on her left shoulder.
"Are you sure this is a good idea?" he asked over the sound of the engine.
"Yeah," she said. She kept an eye on the black sedan when the black sedan made a left turn and she pulled the motorcycle over to the curb. Romeo helped her off the motorcycle as she placed her left index finger to her lips and he nodded. They walked down the sidewalk when Angelina looked around the corner then she looked at him. She looked at the black sedan parked in front of one of the buildings as she pointed and he looked at the black sedan. He followed her as they carefully moved toward the black sedan and Romeo regretted not waiting for Connor and Murphy. They moved toward the opening to an alleyway when a large man with a bald head and hard eyes stepped out of the alleyway and he stood in front of them. "Shit."
Romeo didn't want to look weak in front of Angelica as he snorted a breath of air, stood straighter and he moved his head side-to-side to crack his neck. He walked up to the large man as he looked up and he glared at him.
"Mind moving, Asshole?" Romeo asked with a growl.
"Romeo…," Angelina hissed.
The large man glared at him while Romeo bounced on the balls of his feet and he waited for the large man to move.
"You speak English?" Romeo asked.
"Yeah," the large man said.
"Then move."
"What will you do if I don't?"
"He's going to get himself killed," Angelina thought when she remembered what she had in her purse and she slowly opened her purse. She removed the gun from her purse then she looked at Romeo.
"Hey!" she called and Romeo quickly turned to look at her. Before the large man could grab him, Romeo watched her toss him the gun and he caught the gun, turned, armed the gun then he pointed the gun in the large man's face.
"Ding-dong, Asshole! Ding! Dong!" Romeo said with a grin.
"Got guts enough to pull the trigger?" the large man asked when they heard the loud sound of engines and the large man turned around. Two motorcycles roared toward him as Connor and Murphy laughed and they gunned the engine to make the motorcycles go faster.
"What the hell are you doing?!" Angelique shouted, but Connor ignored her.
Angelina pulled Romeo behind the large oil drum as the large man watched the motorcycles heading toward him and Connor howled.
"Shit!" the large man said as he dived out of the way and he landed on some garbage bags.
"Chicken!" Murphy shouted as he turned the motorcycle around then he gunned the engine to make the motorcycle go faster and Connor followed him. The large man slammed his fist into the ground when he got to his knees then he felt something being pressed to the back of his head.
"You still wanna see if I have the guts to pull the trigger?" Romeo asked as the motorcycles came to a stop behind him and Murphy and Connor dismounted the motorcycles. Angelique and Angelica removed the Berretta guns out of their purses and they handed the guns to Connor and Murphy. Checking to see if the guns were loaded, Connor and Murphy armed the guns then they walked to Romeo.
"Hullo," Connor said as he pointed the Berrettas at the large man's face.
"You alright?" Murphy asked as he looked at Romeo while he pointed the Berrettas into the large man's face.
"Yeah," Romeo said with a nod.
Standing near the window of the building across the street, Giovani watched what was occurring in the street below and he tilted his head to one side.
"Orders, Sir?" the driver asked.
"What the hell do you think my orders are!? Kill them!" Giovani said with a growl and the driver and the other men ran out of the room. Giovani turned as he looked at the young man standing near the table and Giovani tilted his head to one side.
Dante Corletti was new blood. He had only been working for Giovani for two months and Giovani was starting to trust him. He watched while Giovani walked to the table and Giovani placed the palms of his hands on the table as he leaned forward.
"What are you waiting for?" Giovani asked and Dante nodded, turned then ran out of the room.
Outside, Murphy was the first to see the door opening to his right when Giovani's driver and some other men ran out of the building and he nudged Connor's side.
"So much fer us not attractin' attention," Connor said. Connor, Murphy, Angelica and Angelique moved toward Romeo and Angelina and Connor looked at the women. "Hope you have some more guns in those purses."
"Duh!" Angelique said and she, Angelica and Angelina removed the guns from their purses.
"Then let's do some unnecessary violence," Murphy said with a cold look in his eyes and he gently moved his head side-to-side.
The world seemed to slow down as Murphy, Connor and Romeo walked out from behind their hiding place and they stood in the middle of the alleyway.
Guns and rifles were drawn as the driver and the men fired and Connor, Murphy and Romeo fired their guns. The women had found safe cover as they fired their guns and they were amazed with how neither Connor, Murphy nor Romeo were being hit by the bullets. They stood in a triangle formation with their backs to each other as they fired the guns and the men fell to the ground.
"What the hell!?" Angelique whispered as she watched the last body fall to the ground.
"How did they do that!?" Angelina asked as she watched Connor, Murphy and Romeo smiling and patted each other's backs.
"I have no clue," Angelica said as they walked out of their hiding places and Murphy headed for her. She went into straight doctor mode as she started examining his legs, chest, arms, shoulders, face, neck and hairline after she had removed the baseball cap and he softly giggled.
"You really like messin' my hair," he teased and she lightly shoved him.
"I'm checking you for wounds, Asshole," she said as she rolled her eyes then she placed the baseball cap back on his head.
"I'm fine," he said while he placed her right hand against the center of his chest and she could just feel the pounding of his heart.
"What about you, Hotshot?" Angelina asked while she walked to Romeo and he was twirling the gun around his right index finger. "Are you ok?"
"Yeah," Romeo said and she quickly checked him. She then pulled him in for an embrace and he felt a blush moving over his cheeks.
Connor and Angelique faced each other while she crossed her arms under her breasts and he crossed his arms over his chest. She glanced at the muscles pressing against the sleeves of his shirt and chest then she looked at him in the eyes and he blinked his eyes a few times.
"You good?" she asked.
"I'm fine. You?" he asked and she nodded.
"Well, we better clean this up," Angelica said and Murphy frowned.
"Clean it up?" Murphy asked.
"Yeah. We don't want to leave any bullet casing around for the police to find," Angelina said while she looked at the bullet casing lying on the ground. Suddenly, the sounds of sirens filled the air as Connor and Angelique growled at the same time and he arched an eyebrow.
"I don't think we have time." Angelique said.
"She's right," Connor said. They got back onto the motorcycles as Connor let Angelique drive and Romeo held onto Angelina. Murphy had let Angelica drive as well as he held onto her and she smiled after he placed his chin on her left shoulder. The motorcycles headed down the street when Dante ran outside then he looked up at the window. Giovani glared at Dante when Giovani slowly shaking his head and he crossed his arms over his chest,
