The crew of the Invictus left the ship and strode out to meet the two uniformed men awaiting their arrival. As they left the confines of the airlock, Naruto noticed the men were standing next to a brutal looking piece of Terran Federation engineering. It was some kind of dropship, lean and ferocious, the jutting weapon barrels telling their own tale of its lethal potential. He reluctantly pulled his gaze from the savage looking craft and focused on the two men standing to its side.
Naruto recognised his old friend Jiraiya of course, the middle aged man's stern face showing surprise at the new additions to John's team. His mouth twitched in amusement as his eyes glanced from one stunningly beautiful young woman to another.
Naruto didn't recognise the older man however. Distinguished, with salt and pepper hair and a closely cropped grey beard, the man was wearing full dress uniform and Naruto could tell by the insignia on his epaulets that the man ranked as an admiral in the Terran Federation Navy.
"Naruto! It's good to see you." Jiraiya said in greeting. "Please let me introduce Admiral Cartwright." he said, turning to the older military man.
"Commander Uzumaki, I've been hearing great things about you." The admiral said in a quiet voice.
"It's good to meet you admiral." Naruto said, snapping a sharp salute. "I'm sure the tales have been greatly exaggerated." he said, self-deprecatingly.
The older man looked at Naruto with shrewd, penetrating eyes. "I don't think they have." he replied.
"So what can I do for you admiral?" Naruto asked, curious as to why such a high ranking Terran Federation officer would come to meet him.
"It's more what I can do for you Commander." the man said. "Terran Federation High Command greatly appreciated your efforts against the Kirrix. The PR value of that battle alone is invaluable to us at the moment."
"Just happy to do our part admiral." Naruto said. "Those Kirrix had to be stopped!" he said grimly.
"Yes, indeed." Admiral Cartwright said unemotionally.
"In any case, I'm pleased to be able to present you with a Raptor class gunship to show our appreciation for your efforts." the admiral said, looking askance at the terrifying piece of hardware to his side.
"Thank you admiral!" Naruto said, looking up at the gunship, a big grin spreading across his face.
"Keep up the good work Commander." the distinguished older man said quietly, throwing him a salute and turning to leave.
Before he had completed the turn however, he suddenly looked back.
"According to Vice Admiral Jiraiya, you've brought us another shipment of Tyrenium?" He said, with hunger in his voice; the first real emotion that the man had displayed since their arrival.
"Yes, sir." Naruto replied succinctly. "20 tons of it."
Admiral Cartwright's eyes gleamed. "Outstanding work, Commander. Quite outstanding..." he said, before nodding to Jiraiya and then walking away briskly.
Naruto turned to look at his old friend Jiraiya with a raised eyebrow.
"We'll talk in my office Naruto." Jiraiya said with a wry smile. "For now, I can't wait for you to introduce me to your companions." he said, his eyes twinkling.
Naruto shook his head in amusement and then turned to his side.
"You already know my executive officer of course." He said, smiling affectionately at the beautiful bluenette girl.
"It's lovely to see you my dear..." Jiraiya said, before stopping in surprise as Hinata strode up to him and planted a big kiss on his cheek.
"That's for all your work on our quarters!" she said, with a warm appreciative smile.
"It was my pleasure, Hinata." Jiraiya said, smiling at the exuberant young woman, before turning his attention back to Naruto.
"This is my Tactical Officer, Second Lieutenant Hana Inuzuka." Naruto said proudly, introducing the gorgeous Latina.
"Vice Admiral Jiraiya, it's an honour to meet you." Hana said, snapping to attention and saluting the man respectfully.
"Ah yes, the exceptional young officer who found the location of the pirate base. I've heard intriguing things about your exploits lieutenant." Jiraiya said, nodding his approval.
"Thank you sir!" Hana said blushing, unsure how to respond to such flattery.
To save Hana further embarrassment, Naruto moved on. "This is my Chief Engineer, Sparks." Naruto said affectionately, introducing the ravenette.
Sparks winced a little, hearing her name in this kind of formal setting. Since her conversation with the rescued engineer several days ago, she had suddenly become quite self conscious about her old nickname.
"Pleased to meet you young lady." Jiraiya said, in a friendly voice.
"You too Charles." Sparks replied with a smile. "Oh! It's ok for me to call you that right? Not Vice Admiral or whatever?" she asked curiously.
"JIraiya is fine." the middle aged man said with some amusement.
"Finally this is Fu, our most recent addition to the crew of the Invictus." Naruto said, turning towards the green skinned Nymph.
"This one is pleased to meet any friend of master's!" Fu said excitedly.
Jiraiya looked at Naruto with a startled look on his face.
"Don't ask." Naruto said with a wry smile.
"Isn't she a..." Jiraiya said falteringly.
"Yes, she is." Naruto said, grinning.
Jiraiya laughed loudly. "Ah, Naruto... maybe I should have retired while I was still a young man!" he said grinning ruefully.
"Let me take you all up to my office." Jiraiya said in a friendly voice. "We can relax while we talk business."
"Lead on, Jiraiya." Naruto said and they turned to follow the man out of the huge docking bay.
They walked away from the Invictus and Sparks managed to tear her eyes away from the fascinating looking gunship. She finally noticed the huge numbers of crates stacked in the docking bay and Jiraiya spotted her drifting over to look at them curiously.
"We started receiving all these deliveries a couple of days ago. The deck officer was having a fit until I had a word." he said, smiling.
Sparks practically jumped up and down with excitement and glanced longingly at the large shipping crates as they walked to the heavy security door that led out of the bay.
"Come on." Naruto said, grinning at her. "You can look later. They can't start loading anything until the retrofit is done on the cargo bay anyway."
"I prioritised that work order for you Naruto, the crews will start work on that for you immediately." Jiraiya volunteered helpfully.
"Much appreciated Jiraiya, thank you!" Naruto said gratefully and the older man waved away his thanks.
They followed the vice admiral to an elevator and headed up to a different office to the one they had met the shipyard commander in last time.
"New office Jiraiya?" Naruto asked curiously.
"My old one is being refurbished and extended." Jiraiya said, smiling happily, "A reward for my 'outstanding initiative' in selling you the Invictus." he grinned.
The new office was approximately the same size as the last one, with a similar reception area outside. The young naval officer who had met them previously, saluted Naruto respectfully and then looked on with wide eyes at the luscious bevy of young women following after him into the vice admiral's office. Hinata grinned impishly and waved at him, causing the poor assistant to blush bright red with embarrassment.
Naruto held the door open for them and they went to sit on the sofas set around the big window looking out of the office. Unfortunately there was no panoramic view of the shipyard from this office and instead it overlooked the docking bay where they had landed the Invictus. Sparks looked out the window and sighed as she looked at all the shipping crates full of machinery, all waiting to be installed in her workshop. Naruto smiled affectionately at the ravenette. She reminded him of a small child waiting impatiently to unwrap her presents on Christmas day. The naval officer assistant came into the room with a tray of coffee and began to hand out steaming cups of the hot drink.
Fu stood next to her ebony haired friend at the window and looked out over the docking bay. This was the first time she had seen the Invictus properly and as she looked at the massive assault cruiser, its distinctive shape triggered a memory from her past.
Decades before, she had belonged to an eccentric old fellow who had nicknamed himself the 'Collector'. The extremely wealthy man had been a benign master, who being too old to require her more sensual services, had meant for a calm if rather dull few years under his care. The man had been obsessed with collecting exotic creatures and as one of the few surviving Nymphs, Fu had been the pride of his collection. She recalled his assorted variety of animals and remembered a many toothed aquatic predator the Collector had told her was called a shark, a huge fish that hailed from legendary Terra.
Grey, sleek and angular, the Invictus had the same lean look as the Shark, the command deck and the fire control tower behind it even reminded her of the dorsal fin atop the ancient aquatic killer. The caudal fin was there too, but on the Invictus it housed the shield generator, flanked by the four mighty engines that allowed the assault cruiser to surge through space with such ferocious speed.
Naruto had begun to talk again and as always she focused her attention back on him, so that she could listen to his lovely strong voice.
"So tell me more about Admiral Cartwright?" Naruto asked curiously.
"He's here overseeing the construction of the Echelon class dreadnought you probably saw on your arrival." Jiraiya said. "High Command are ordering a massive shipbuilding program and he wants to make sure construction stays on schedule."
"He's a bit detached, but he's very driven. He holds a lot of sway with High Command." Jiraiya said, giving his honest opinion of the man.
"Very interesting." Naruto said, intrigued.
"What do you know about the Raptor gunship?" he asked his old friend with a hint of excitement in his voice. "I haven't seen or heard of anything like that before."
"It's state of the art Naruto, fresh off the production lines." Jiraiya said enviously. "You must have made High Command very happy indeed, for them to give you one of those."
"It doesn't look much like a normal Marine transport." Naruto said, recalling the blocky transports he had launched dozens of boarding actions from in his career as a marine.
"It's part of the new push towards carrier forces and dropship assaults. The raptor gunship is exclusive to Terran Federation special forces. It's fast, manoeuvrable and packs a lot more firepower at the cost of a much reduced troop carrying capacity."
"How many?" Naruto asked curiously.
"30 men in heavy gear," Jiraiya said. "but that should be more than adequate for your needs."
"Or perhaps not." The middle aged man said, casting his eye over the rapidly expanding crew of the Invictus in amusement.
"So shall we talk business and get that out the way?" Jiraiya said, eager to complete the transaction. "I believe you have 20 tons of Tyrenium for sale?" he grinned excitedly.
"I do." Naruto said, smiling predatorily.
"Same price as last time?" Jiraiya said hopefully.
"Well we ran into a few mishaps along the way." Naruto said leadingly. "Unfortunately I'll have to factor that into the price."
"And just how much is that going to be?" Jiraiya said, suddenly wary.
"30 mil per ton ought to cover it." Naruto said mildly.
"600 million credits!" Jiraiya said in shock.
Hana and Hinata gasped in amazement at the outrageous sum of credits. Fu had no interest in money so she didn't react at all, while Sparks was too distracted by the sights below and wasn't paying attention.
Naruto turned to face the ravenette who was pining out the window. "You've finished looking over the Kirrix dropship now, right Sparks?" he asked her directly.
"Oh yeah, I've learned all I can from that." she said distractedly.
"I'll throw in the Kirrix dropship we captured as a goodwill gesture. That's got to have some value for Terran Federation R&D." Naruto said magnanimously.
Jiraiya narrowed his eyes and churned through the numbers in his mind.
"You have a deal." he said a few moments later, shaking his head in grudging appreciation.
"I'm not sure if I should be awed or appalled at your blatant price gouging. When did you become such a sharp trader?" he said with a rueful grin.
"I've got a bigger crew now, more mouths to feed." Naruto said with a smile.
Jiraiya laughed out loud.
"Ok I'll get the credits transferred immediately." Jiraiya said, as he went over to his desk and pressed a button on the intercom. "You can begin unloading the Tyrenium now Sergeant." he said to the waiting munitions team.
Sparks saw a group of men in grey overalls approach the Invictus, bringing anti-grav sleds with them to assist with the unloading.
"So what are your plans then Naruto?" Jiraiya asked his old friend. "You're an extremely wealthy man now."
"Well I promised the girls a vacation on Gravitus while we wait for the retrofit." Naruto said, smiling at his crew. "After that, I'm planning to go on an extended shopping trip and pick up some upgrades for the Invictus."
"Oh really?" Jiraiya asked, "Where are you thinking of going?"
"The Ashanath, Maliri, Trankarans and the Brimorians, in that order." Naruto replied.
"Good luck trading with the Maliri!" JIraiya snorted. "They don't have a lot of time for the Terran Federation."
"Ah yes, but I'm an independent trader." Naruto said archly, which made Jiraiya laugh.
"All joking aside, I did a couple of small trades with them a few years back and they were pleasant enough." Naruto shrugged.
"Well like I said... Good luck, I think you'll need it!" Jiraiya said with a smile.
"By the way, did you decide what you wanted to do with that old freighter?" he asked Naruto.
"Actually yes I did. I was going to take her for a last flight down to the planet." Naruto said, thinking of his old ship fondly.
"After that, could you refit her with upgraded engines, life support and FTL drive and then have her delivered to a Jonah Bennings. I'll send you the address." Naruto said with a playful smile on his face.
"Sure, that's no problem. Who's this Jonah fellow?" Jiraiya asked curiously.
"I owe him a big debt. Hopefully he'll appreciate my old ship." Naruto said, remembering how much Jonah loved his long jaunts into deep space.
"I'll make sure the freighter gets to him." Jiraiya promised. "Do you want to leave him a message."
"Just say: Thanks for the tip about the worm girls." Naruto said. "Don't worry, he'll understand." Naruto said and grinned at the mystified vice admiral.
Naruto and the girls bid Jiraiya goodbye and then took an elevator to one of the shuttles that would take them over to the other side of the shipyard where the Fool's Gold was currently docked. As they walked along the long wide corridors of the shipyard, marines and naval personnel did double takes at the group of beautiful young women as they passed by, causing the girls to smile self consciously.
Hana sidled up to Naruto's side. "600 million!" she blurted in a hushed whisper. "I thought I was going to have a heart attack when you asked for that much money and he agreed!" the gorgeous brunette said in amazement.
"I think I'll need the money." Naruto said. "I plan to live a nice long retirement and it looks like I'm going to be raising a big family." Naruto smiled at the Latina affectionately.
That drew a happy sigh from Hana, who hooked her arm through his and squeezed it tightly. They soon reached the docking bay where the freighter had been mothballed and Naruto stopped and smiled affectionately when he saw it. He had lived on the Fool's Gold for 11 years, ever since he had retired from the military and despite the wonders the Invictus held, Naruto still couldn't help but think of this old freighter as home. The girls waited for him patiently as he stood and stared at the ship for a long moment, before they headed up to the airlock door at the side and went in.
"So this is where it all began?" Sparks said curiously.
"That's right." Hinata replied. "If you hadn't suggested I stow away on the ship to escape from the Diablos, then things would have turned out very differently for all of us." she said, smiling at her oldest friend affectionately.
Hinata walked up to Naruto and held his hand, suddenly reminding him of the scared young girl that he had discovered on his freighter only two months earlier. Hana unhooked herself from his other arm and let the two of them walk together, realising that they were taking a trip down memory lane. The incredibly close bond Naruto and his bluenette lover had always left her a little overawed.
They all headed up to the cockpit, where Naruto and Hinata settled into the pilot and co-pilot seats. They glanced at each other and smiled coyly, remembering all the erotic adventures they'd had during that journey back from Karron to the Olympus Shipyard the first time around.

"Let's get moving Hinata." he smiled. "If you two keep that up, neither of you will be in good shape for a dress fitting." he said grinning.
Hinata paused, torn with indecision. Her desire to satisfy Naruto and the idea of recreating their initial encounters on the freighter, warring with her wanting to get everyone new outfits in a shopping bonanza.
"We'll have lots of time to have some fun in the hotel over the next few days. Then when we finish on Gravitus, we'll say goodbye to the Fool's Gold with style. I promise!" Naruto said, playfully.
"Ok, let's go!" Hinata said and rapidly plotted them a course from Olympus down to the Spaceport on the surface of Gravitus.
The engines of the old freighter rumbled in protest and they lifted off gently from the floor of the docking bay. Under Hinata's skilful control they began their journey down to the planet's surface.
Once they were underway, Hinata pressed a control on her console and brought up the vid-screen. She produced a card from a pocket in her suit jacket and then entered the contact number. Naruto looked at her curiously, wondering who she was calling. A very pretty pinkette filled the vid-screen a few moments later, which answered his question.
"Sakura!" Hinata said happily, when the pinkette answered the call. "We're back on Gravitus and wondered if you wanted to join us for dinner?".
"Hinata!" The pinkette said in surprise. She was wearing a pair of glasses this afternoon and she removed them to rub her eyes tiredly.
"I'd love to, but I can't." She said dejectedly. "The timing is terrible unfortunately. I ship out to the Dragon March tomorrow." The attractive pinkette said with regret.
"Ship out?" Naruto said with surprise. "I didn't realise you were with the military."
"Yes, it's my first posting." The sleepy looking pinkette said and stifled a yawn. "I've been taking my finals this week and I finally qualified as a medic." She said proudly.
"Congratulations!" Hinata said, clapping excitedly for the exhausted young woman.
"Thanks Hinata." Sakura said with a warm smile.
"If you're training to be a medic, why were you working as a shop assistant?" Naruto asked dubiously.
"I needed the money for living expenses." The lovely young pinkette replied. "I had a grant to cover the tuition fees, but I had to pay my own way for the rest." she said as she stifled another yawn.
"We'll let you go Sakura. I can see you've been burning the candle at both ends." Naruto said smiling. "Congratulations on qualifying, Doctor!" he said warmly.
"Thanks Naruto." She said smiling at him tiredly. "Between exams and last minute revision, I'm worn out!"
"Get some sleep, I'll stay in touch!" Hinata said, waving the pinkette goodbye.
"I'll look forward to hearing from you." Sakura said smiling and waved goodbye as she ended the call.
"That's a shame." Hinata said sadly. "I was really looking forward to going down on her."
"Hinata!" Hana and Sparks chorused in surprise.
"She was lovely." Hinata said with a sigh. "It was her running her hands over me during the fitting session that made me first realise I liked girls too." the beautiful bluenette admitted honestly.
"She sounds like quite a woman." Hana said, smiling.
"They did look pretty amazing together." Naruto said, remembering Sakura on her knees, smoothing a form fitting dress over Hinata's delicious curves.
"Ah well, it wasn't meant to be." Hinata said regretfully.
"Naruto, what did she mean when she said about being posted to the 'Dragon March'?" Sparks asked curiously.
"There's a strip of worlds on the Terran Federation side of the border with the Kintark Empire, that are known as the Dragon March." Naruto explained.
"Aren't we at war with the Kintark now?" Hinata said, worried for her friend. "Isn't that going to be a pretty dangerous place to be right now?" she asked with concern.
"Well with Sakura trained as a medic, they'll want her where the injuries are going to be unfortunately." Naruto said grimly.
"The Terran Federation and the Kintark haven't declared war on each other yet though, it's just border clashes at the moment. She should be pretty safe wherever they set up the major triage site for the Dragon March forces." he explained reassuringly.
"Why is it called the Dragon March though?" Sparks asked, her curiosity peaked.
"The Kintark are seven foot tall reptiles." Naruto explained. "Some of their elders can be even bigger apparently."
He rolled his eyes. "You know what people are like. Some smartass came up with the name and it stuck."
"Has master ever met a dragon?" Fu said, wide eyed with wonder.
"Yeah, I've done a few deals with the Kintark. It was years ago, before all the present hostilities though. I liked them and they were easy enough to trade with; I personally think it's a shame things have escalated between them and the Terran Federation." Naruto said sadly.
"Well I hope Sakura will be ok." Hinata said, with a worried frown.
"Don't worry, the Terran Federation takes good care of its medics." Naruto said, smiling. "They'll have her tucked away in some nice safe and secure base. She'll probably be complaining about how bored she is!" he grinned, reassuringly.
"I'm going to have a quick look around the ship before we land, soak in the memories!" Naruto said happily. "Anyone want to join me?"
"I'll stay up here and wait for landing clearance." Hinata said.
"This one would like to stay with Hinata, if that's ok master?" Fu said surprisingly.
"Sure Fu, you don't have to ask my permission remember." Naruto said kindly.
"Thank you master." She said, beaming up at him as Naruto, Hana and Sparks left the cockpit.
"Are you ok Fu?" Hinata asked the green skinned girl curiously. "Is there anything you wanted to talk to me about?" she said in a friendly tone.
"Yes Hinata. You, Hana and Sparks all have jobs onboard master's ship, as well as being his beautiful mates. This one would like to be more useful to master. Is there anything Fu could do to help?" she asked eagerly.
Hinata looked surprised at Fu request. "I'll have a think Fu. I'm sure we can find you a useful role on the Invictus!" she said warmly and the Nymph beamed at the bluenette girl in gratitude.
Meanwhile Naruto led the way into the Fool's Gold, with Hana and Sparks following behind. They had a quick look in the passenger cabin, then moved over to his own cabin and the girls had a look around curiously.
"I bet this room has a few tales to tell." Hana said, smiling at Naruto flirtatiously.
"Yeah, Hinata and I had a lot of fun in here." Naruto said with a smile.
"This is where it all began then?" Sparks said curiously.
"Well our first time doing anything together was in the rec room." Naruto said. "I asked Hinata to kneel and blow me."
"Did she come on to you then?" Sparks said, sidling up to him and looking at him out of the corner of her eye and with a coy smile on her full lips.
"Well you could say that." Naruto admitted ruefully. "I found her a few days after she snuck on board and then threatened to take her back to Karron. She basically pleaded with me not to take her back and offered sex in exchange for a trip to the core worlds." he said, looking embarrassed.
"It makes me sound like a bit of an asshole telling it like that, but in my defence I'd been picking up her pheromones once she got on board and I was going a bit lust crazy." he confessed.
"When this pretty but skinny little bluenette girl offered to let me use her for a few weeks, I was powerless to say no." he said guiltily. "I wasn't being completely selfish though, I did want to get some good meals inside her."
"Yeah I'm sure you did!" Sparks said with a smirk.
Naruto laughed heartily at that.
"Well I'm glad the little head won out." Sparks said, reaching down to gently stroke his cock through his trousers.
Hana walked up to his other side and joined the ravenette with light caresses of her fingertips. "You have no complaints from me either." she said with a smile.

"Happy with your new home?" Hana asked, slipping her arm through his and looking up at him.
"I'm not going to lie, the Invictus is pretty awesome." Naruto said. "But to be honest, I'd be happy wherever I was, as long as I had you girls with me."
"Oh Naruto, that's lovely!" Hana said, kissing him tenderly.

The Nymph was standing on the podium in the centre of the booth, swaying sensuously in time with the music. She had her eyes closed and her body moved and curved in a sensual display that drew his eyes like magnets. Fu opened her eyes and saw all the onlookers. She smiled and nodded her head in thanks, as her friends applauded and she stepped down to join them for a drink. The waitresses left, leaving the drinks trays to hover in the air for them.
"How did you learn to move like that?" Hinata asked Fu in awe.
"This one learnt to dance many years ago. Fu found that most of her master's appreciated her dancing." she explained.
"I've never seen anyone move like that before!" Hana said in amazement. "You looked so sexy, it was incredible!" she said appreciatively.
"Did this one please her master?" Fu asked Naruto with a hopeful smile.
"You were breathtaking honey." he admitted honestly.
"You have to teach me how to move like that!" Sparks pleaded.
"It will be Fu's pleasure." The Nymph replied with a gentle smile. She stroked the ravenette's arm affectionately, before trailing her fingers down to the girl's hand and then leading her back to the raised platform.
Sparks stood awkwardly in the centre of the podium, feeling self conscious when she saw her friends watching her. The rest of the evening flew by, in a blur of drinking, dancing and laughter. The girls loved every minute of it, enjoying Naruto's company as well as each other's. "We should be thanking you." Naruto said, smiling at her affectionately. "Seeing you dance has been the highlight of the night!" he said with a big grin and pulled her into his arms for a soul searing kiss.
Fu melted into his arms and returned his kiss lovingly. "This one never thought she could be so happy master!" she murmured ecstatically, with a breathy sigh of contentment.
Hana and Sparks came bounding over and urged the Nymph to come and join them again. Fu smiled up at Naruto apologetically, before letting the excited girls lead her back to the podium. Hinata had followed behind them and stayed to keep Naruto company. She walked over to the balcony and then leaned against it, feeling the pounding base vibrating through her and sensing Naruto's thoughts as he watched her beautiful body. Unfortunately their peaceful solitude was rudely interrupted by a large group of men, sprawled on a couple of benches. Naruto rolled his eyes to the girls and they walked past briskly, only for the group to get up and follow them, a couple of the men running past calling to them playfully and then turning to face them and standing in their path.
The playfulness seemed to evaporate abruptly and the encounter suddenly had a more threatening edge to it.
"Hey, why are you running away?" One of the men in front said, a swarthy fellow with a scar on his right cheek.
"We don't want any trouble gentlemen." Naruto said. "We just came out for a fun night, let's not spoil it."
"We'd like some fun too." The swarthy man joked, his eyes roving over the girls, who suddenly felt very exposed in their clubbing gear.
"What do you say boys, would you like some fun?" the man said in a louder voice to the rest of his group who were catching them up from behind.
This was returned with a bunch of less than polite comments, as the men made it quite clear what they considered to be fun.
Naruto unhooked his arms from Hinata and Sparks and stepped forward a pace. "I'd advise you to back away gentlemen." he said in a quiet voice. "I hadn't planned on breaking anyone today, but if any of you touch my women, I'll make an exception."
Unfortunately the swarthy man was too drunk or stupid to realise the potential danger he was in. He definitely didn't appreciate being told what to do.
"How about I fuck you up." he snarled, drawing a knife. "Then me and my boys take turns on your women."
The flash of moonlight on steel caught the corner of Naruto's eye and he half turned to see that another one of the men from the bigger group behind had drawn a knife too. Knowing that he was the only one with melee combat training, Naruto was seriously concerned. Fighting eight to one, whilst trying to protect four vulnerable girls was not good odds.
The man with the knife held in front of him walked forward a pace, tossing the large knife between his hands in a showy move that was designed to intimidate. His friend darted forward with a leer and tried to grab Sparks, who shrank back against Hinata. The man chuckled evilly and stuck his tongue out, licking the air suggestively.
Knifeman was now in striking range and he brandished the weapon at Naruto so that the moonlight caught the blade.
"I'm going to bleed you." he said with a sinister smile, before lunging out suddenly in a thrusting stabbing move.
Naruto side stepped the strike, letting the knifeman overextend himself and grabbed the man's arm below the wrist in his left hand. He pinned the man's forearm in place by grabbing the man's elbow in his right hand and smashed the forearm down on his right knee which he drove up with explosive force. The man's forearm bent in half with a sickening crunch, tearing bone and ligaments asunder and the knife dropped to the floor.
Screaming in pain the knifeman fell back as tongue waggler moved in and threw a wild haymaker at Naruto's head. Naruto sidestepped the reckless punch and then drove his fist into the man's back, the pounding blow striking the man in the kidney's and making him scream with pain and collapse on the floor.
A surprised scream sounded behind him and Naruto whirled to see one of the men from the other group had darted forward to grab at Hana, gripping her wrist in his hand and pulling her away from where she stood next to Fu. A cold shiver of fear shot through Naruto as he realised he was too far back to immediately move to aid the brunette.
"Rawr!" A throaty growl suddenly burst out from ahead of him.
"What the fuck?!" someone yelled, as Naruto watched in amazement as Fu pounced forward, slashing down at the man's offending limb with her outstretched hand.
Naruto saw that her blurred slash cut across the man's forearm, leaving a deep bloodied gash and causing the man to leap back, clutching his arm and shrieking in terror. The other men backed away, the second knifeman swiping at the air as though to ward her away, before they all turned tail and ran.
Naruto jogged up to Fu and Hana, his face lined with worry.
"Are you both ok?" he asked.
Hana nodded hesitantly and Hinata and Sparks rushed to the girl's side and hugged her comfortingly. Naruto turned to check on Fu and gasped in shock. The Nymph now sported long, sharp looking fangs and when he glanced down at her hands he saw that her nails had elongated and glowed with an ethereal viridian glow.
"Fu are you ok?" he asked her with concern.
The Nymph turned to face him and then closed her eyes and breathed deeply, the claws retracting and the long upper canines returning to their normal size.
"This one was so worried for Hana's safety. Is she alright master?" she asked with concern.
"She's fine thanks to you!" Naruto said gratefully.
"Let's go ladies." He said firmly, turning to the other girls. "I want to get out of here in case that group decides to get brave."
The girls nodded stoically and they set off at a brisk pace back to where they had left the hover-limo and their chauffer. They returned to the limo and piled in, feeling safe at last when the driver sensed their urgency and took off immediately.
Hana began to cry softly as her body reacted to the shock of the encounter, so HInata and Sparks cuddled her comfortingly. Naruto held his arms out for Fu and she cuddled into him with a contented sigh.
"I'm very proud of you." he whispered into her ear. "You protected Hana just like I would have protected any of you."
Fu stared up into his eyes, seeing his sincere gratitude and then she brushed her fingertips down along his jawline lovingly.
"This one will always protect you and your mates master." she said vehemently.
Naruto copied her hand movements, trailing his fingers along the soft skin of her jawline.
"I love you, Fu." he said to her softly.
"I love you too master." she sighed back to him dreamily.
Naruto felt sad that what had been such an amazing evening had been cut short by an ugly brutal incident, but he felt even closer to Fu, so something good had come of it in the end.
They returned to the Magnus hotel, feeling drained after the adrenalin had worn off. They had a quick shower when they entered the suite and then curled up in bed, hugging each other and just glad to be unscathed after the shocking encounter by the lake. They drifted off to sleep immediately and didn't wake until morning when the three suns of Alpha Centauri promised a bright new day.
