Hello lovelies, out with chapter 5. Get excited this is low-key juicy lmao. Okay, but I made a time jump so that chapter 4 would make sense soooo we'll be back in the present in chapter 7 or 8. Sorry for these super short chapters, me and my beta are hella busy so we're really just trying to give enough to keep the story going whenever we have the time. As usual, though, go check out my beta's stories, Smthnborrowediamblue.
Also writing somewhat abuse stories is hard. This totally took an unplanned turn during revisions. So uh...whoops!

Present:
The mansion door swung open to reveal a horrendous scene of Robin standing over a wailing Regina. Her arm was in the air, as if it could protect her from the horrors she was about to experience, and he had grabbed on it so tightly, surely it would break or bruise. However, neither seemed to notice the presence of one Emma Swan and Tinkerbell standing in their doorway.
"You don't get to leave me! When will you learn that you're mine?!" Robin's free hand slammed down onto the brunette's face.
"I'm s-sorry! I-I'm so-sorry, Robin, st-stop it!" The former Evil Queen pleaded as she tried to remove herself from his grasp for what felt like the millionth time. She knows she could use her magic, but why would she? This is her soulmate. Her true love. No one is going to take that from her...not even herself.
"Robin Hood, you backwards fuck face, let go of her," Emma finally found her voice, putting up her hands in warning, "I'm giving you one more chance."
"Or what?!" The man responded, finally looking up to meet her eyes. Noted they were swirling with red.
"Emma?" Regina questioned meekly, looking up at the woman who's hands were still raised.
"Don't fucking look at her! Don't you understand? YOU'RE MINE! MINE!" The red in his eyes started to shine brighter as he shook his so-called soulmate, senseless.
"Emma be careful, remember he isn't in control," Tinkerbell warned, forever the voice of reason even though she hated to see her friend in such a position.
"Well, I'm about to be to," with that final statement the blonde let lose the magic she'd been holding back onto Robin.

A few weeks earlier: (go back to chapter 3 if you don't remember lol)
The morning after her "screaming match" with Emma, Regina woke up in her bed with no clue how she'd gotten there. Her last memory was of her holding Ms. Swan as she cried. Her heart broke just thinking about how she had broken down that way. As she rose from her bed, un-tucking the covers, she noticed she'd been changed into her favorite blue nightgown. She was about to analyze more when she heard a loud bang coming from downstairs.
Without thinking much of it the brunette raced down to the kitchen whilst igniting a fireball in case of intrusion.
"HOLD YOUR FIRE, IT'S JUST ME!" Emma yelled with raised hands and wide eyes, catching sight of Regina.
With a huff the brunette extinguished her magic. "Ms. Swan, what the hell are you doing in my kitchen at six in the morning?"
"Well, yesterday you fell asleep so I brought you to bed. By that time it was pretty late so I just stayed in your guest room. I figured I could at least make you some breakfast for unknowingly hosting me last night," the blonde replied sheepishly, rubbing the back of her neck.
"Oh, well, don't burn down my house. Also y-you didn't change my clothes last night, did you?" The brunette asked, a bit embarrassed.
"Oh yeah, I did," Emma responded as she turned back towards the pancakes she was making. "...with magic, of course," she quickly added.
With a sigh of relief, Regina sat down at the counter and watched the younger woman work.
She pondered about the events that had occurred last night. She couldn't believe what she must've looked like, Admitting her feelings to Emma like a fool. And then Ms. Swan crying like that topped it all off. Being the cause of Emma's tears brought her guilt and shame.
Wait- her? When did she start regarding the sheriff in that manner? The blonde is no one's, she is not some object nor is she her girlfriend. Emma was merely a close friend... Regina rationalized within her mind.
But still, being the cause of her suffering made Regina want to scream. The younger woman deserved better, much better friends than her.
" 'Gina, you still here?" Emma's voice brought the mayor back to reality, as she suddenly noticed the blonde's hand waving in her face jolting her out of reality- not to mention the savory aroma wafting from the small stack of pancakes with a side of eggs in front of her.
"Yeah, sorry, just...lost in thought." Regina looked down at her meal solemnly.
"I get it, let's eat!" Emma smiled brightly.

The two women ate their breakfast mostly in silence, with occasional conversations about work or Henry popping up. However, they both enjoyed it. Regina even went as far as to complement the blonde on her cooking abilities-well, as much of a complement as Regina could give. Emma wasn't sure how she'd take it if anyone other than the former queen told her, "Congrats, you successfully made something other than charcoal in my kitchen."
In fact, Emma couldn't think of a time where the mayor and she had been in such blissful peace. She wished it could always be like this, but she knew how blind Regina was towards her current boyfriend, who was truly a boy and not a man. Honestly, what kind of man treated anyone so terribly? And why was Regina acting so...weak? Emma wasn't sure what word she was looking for, but whatever it was it was not an accurate reflection of her Regina, the Regina she knew well and loved. The more she thought about it the more perplexing and bewildering the whole situation became. Whenever the brunette was around her, the Charmings, or Ruby, she would be her normal self. However, as soon as Robin came along he flipped the switch of her personality. Isn't he supposed to be her soulmate, though? Emma made a mental note to discuss this with Tink later.
As the former Evil Queen stood up and collected her dishes, Emma snatched them out of her hand."Relax, this is me treating you, remember?"
"How about this: I wash and you dry," Regina offered. She grabbed the towel out of the sheriff's hand while sticking her tongue out in a childish manner.
The blonde laughed. "I'll remember that next time you berate me for acting like a child."
"If you repeat this to anyone, I'll deny it, but I quite like your young attitude. I find it refreshing," the brunette admitted, passing Emma a cup.
Emma, however, saw this as an opportunity and overreached her hand to touch Regina's. "Mm, what else do you like about me?" The blonde questioned, batting her eyelashes for good measure.
"Emma.." Regina started when the sheriff began to lean in. "...we can't."
"And why is that?" Emma moved forward, effectively trapping Regina between her body and the counter. The cup slipped out of the older woman's hand, but Emma caught it swiftly and settled it down gently onto the counter beside them.
"We just ca-," whatever protest the woman had died in her throat as Emma caught her lips in a gentle kiss.
Closing her eyes, Regina decided to just stay in the moment for once. She lifted her arms to wrap around the blonde's shoulder's, her hands threading into her soft locks. Just as she began to caress her lips onto the sheriff's, Emma pulled away. With a frown at the sight of Emma's eyes now glinting with worry, she pulled the younger woman back in for a deeper kiss.
Their lips moved together in a gentle, yet firm caress, both feeling as though time had stopped and there was nothing in the world but the two of them. They were unsure of from which pair of lips a soft moan escaped from, but neither cared. For in that moment, everything was okay. Robin, work, and stress had disappeared from her mind- only the two of them were in that moment, kissing as though their lives depended on it.
Finally, they pulled away to catch their breath. Emma gazed at the petite woman with a lazy grin, pulling her closer. "So...what now?"
"What do you mean? What do you want to do," the brunette questioned, also unclear about this newfound territory in their relationship.
"I don't want to jump into anything you aren't ready for. I just want you to be happy. And if you want me the way I obviously want you, h-how about we take it slow," Emma responded calmly, her stutter portraying her nervousness deep down.
"Slow...I think I'd like that."
"Are you sure? What about Robin?"
"He broke up with me, remember? D-Do you think this is too soon?" The now self-conscious brunette asked.
"Maybe for him, but this has been coming for us for, like, what-three years? I just want you to be sure first." The blonde gently rubbed Regina's shoulders.
"Alright then...slow."
"Yeah?"
"Yeah."
