It was her…

From afar, a 9 meter distance

A figure slender, smaller than him in stature, yet tall, she stood straight.

A body so delicate, it should not be touched, and at the same time, if it were to be touched, a punishment would be given.

That body, it looked fragile, yet dignified, it showed no weakness, as though no opening could be found, even without doing anything, strength could be felt and it held so much prestige.

With proportions molded to perfection, perfection itself might not even be enough, any word might not even be enough.

Such could be considered a fact.

Skin so fair

So light

Untouched

Reminiscent of snow, it was cold, it was soft, it could melt, it could fall apart at just a touch, and so you could not touch, it felt wrong to touch.

A porcelain doll, as though never grazed by the sun.

Her clothing was a business suit, cloaked in black all over, a certain appeal, it matched her well, too well, even.

With such light and such dark, a contrast that gives a harmony.

Black high heels and a light blue bag, with small hands, slim and delicate fingers, to which clutched her bag.

Normally, it would spill to her shoulders, to her waist, yet this time, with the command of the breeze, an enchanting flutter, and so:

Her hair, it dances and frolics itself to the wind

Gracefully, a mesmerizing wave

You cannot look away

You will not look away

Shining in the air, blinding the eyes, long and silky, there is no mistake, as if a void that will suck you in.

Raven black, an undeniably beautiful shade.

So much so, as if no color at all. Yet like the night sky, it was home to the stars, glittering, shining, and distant, and from the back…hidden were ribbons of velvet red, prim, proper, and neatly tied.

Looking up from there and one can see:

A face of pure…divinity

A face crafted with no mistake, with everything placed in perfect order, and it left the mind to ponder, clearly she, if compared to anyone…

It could not be denied

Everyone would agree

Total superiority

Even at a world level

And from the sides:

Flushed with such a lovely complexion, cheeks so soft, brightly they sheen, to graze those cheeks, even a little, would be heavenly.

Such a feeling

Then, a little below

Those lips

Lips, so lovely, so smooth and slightly moist, therefore:

They dazzled

They glistened

A pearl's pink

Luscious and alluring.

Perhaps too alluring, even a little taste would surely be sublime, it urges one, an urge that could not be restrained, a temptation, and so, it is a forbidden fruit.

Only subtle use of makeup, though, truthfully her raw features were enough, more than enough actually. Makeup was unnecessary, yet, it boosted her charms even more, with long and splendid eyelashes as proof, they moved with grace as she blinked.

Such unparalleled traits

So many….

Yet…of all those traits, one stuck out most.

Those eyes

Brightly they glowed, so sharp they could cut and they would have sliced through anything, yet they are soft and warm, such is her true nature.

Intellectual eyes, they saw through all.

They could pierce through any wall, it captivated the soul.

They command you, and you would obey.

Even from afar, they were noticeable.

Full of life, and brimming with competence, a sense of maturity.

Radiant, with everywhere tinged in orange, and amidst that, her eyes were a true contrast.

Pure eyes, bright eyes, lovely eyes

The azure of a diamond, no, more precious than diamond, more precious than any gem on earth, incomparable, it could not be priced.

And just like diamonds, they felt unbreakable, those eyes, it felt like that, those eyes which glared at him, those eyes, unmoving, with their sight set solely on him.

They were…gorgeous

It was wrong to objectify, yet, for him, it was the law of the world, and it could not be opinionated.

The facts could not be denied

She was truly…

A living painting.

Art is often open to interpretation, yet this time, this one time, it was unanimous, every part of him agreed.

Overall, a sight to behold, it could not be reasoned with, almost an unbelievable existence, to hold that much beauty, it might be a sin, it might be a burden.

What could not be argued with was…

A refined air, splendid all around, with uncountable knowledge.

Emitting an aura of elite.

An unattainable treasure, no one could know the value of such treasure.

Envied and admired, she alone stood at the top, she could acquire anything , yet she won't, she has humility.

A noble figure, truly, a prim lady with such a peerless charm.

It could not be ignored

A bewitching being

Venus incarnate

.

.

All those thoughts, all of them, in his head, it all came.

All of those thoughts, in only a moment. Only at her, he looked, and only at him, she did the same, quietly, this moment lasted no more.

"H…Hiki…gaya-kun?"

A voice that spoke of disbelief, as if a ghost was in front of her.

Much the same, his answer

"Y-Yukinoshita?"

Both their eyes continued to gaze at each other

Both their mouths, agape only lightly, as their minds swam with thoughts, as they quietly searched for the words they wished to release.

As her face continued to be tense, as they returned stares for each other.

She continued staring at him

.

.

.

Her lips were timidly shaking, and with nothing yet to say, it was still…quiet.

Her eyes began to move obscurely, surely in chaos, only to return their sights to him.

Finally, the ice was broken.

"I-it's been a while"

Meek and soft, her words

"Y-yeah…"

Stiff as a brick, his words

This space

Still, it was quiet and no movements were made, as the wind fluttered and danced, they stood still, and somehow, both had heavy bodies.

No longer, now her shoulders relaxed, and the tension before dissipated, her flustered face returned to normal.

A still moment broken, for footsteps swallowed this space in sound.

*Step*

*Step*

*Step*

Those footsteps were hers

Graceful, and without fault, her steps were light as they are calm, and as he saw, those silky strands followed behind.

3 meters left

Posed straight, with a face revealing no clear intention.

"It really has been a while, yes?"

She spoke with composure, and told so with a poker face, no tone, and her face could not be read.

Unexpected, he thought.

"Ahh…yeah"

Puzzled a little, he answered back, as if he noticed, something was wrong.

From his answer, that poker face was now erased, as her voice sounded warmer.

"You don't have to be all wary, I'm not mad"

Slightly, his eyebrows rose, he answered dubiously.

"Is that so?"

"Yes"

Her immediate answer, as if to reassure him, though her reassurance only caused him to think differently.

(I doubt that, I can tell…you wanna kill me right now, don't you? I'm sure of it, one wrong move and…I don't wanna think about it)

His thoughts exactly, as his eyes moved away from hers.

Perhaps from what she saw, she plans to keep him in place, and asking:

"Now then, would you mind telling me as to why you vanished with no trace?"

"I thought a vacation would be nice, but it seems I forgot the time"

Jokingly, his excuse was given, while a not-so-happy smile embedded on his face.

Hearing this, her eyes closed, yet a "gentle" smile implanted on her face

*Step*

She took a step, and he noticed

*Step*

Another one, and in near panic he said:

"Let's calm down"

*Step*

"I am calm"

(Doesn't look that way!)

*Step*

"W-wait, why're you still smiling?"

"Should I need a reason not to?"

Her eyes were still shut, and a smile that still stayed

*Step*

With her advance, he backed away

"And, why are you stepping away?"

"Um, because right now it would do well if there is some distance"

For his sake, he answered in hurry, as if to escape.

*Step*

*Back step*

*Step*

*Back step*

Their distance is only half a meter, as they continued this, as she, advancing, and he, retracting

Until

*Grab*

A quick motion

Her arm extended as it grabbed his clothes, and tightly, her fingers gripped onto him.

(*Gasp*)

"Y-Yukinoshita?"

No answer came from her, as her expression seemed unreadable.

He is now trapped, somehow, he could not release himself, somehow, he couldn't undo her hand, he wouldn't.

He closed his eyes, prepared

(At least be gentle)

*Bop*

.

.

.

(Huh?)

Nothing came, and only one feeling was there, a fist in his left shoulder, whilst he looked below and he saw:

He had been hit, yet it yielded no pain.

Inside, he questioned 'What's happening?'

Surely he thought so, still in denial, at her fist he continued staring.

Her fist on his shoulder, slowly, it now retracted, and as before, her voice retained the same warmth.

"There, that's your punishment"

Told so with a smile, and her posture returned to normal.

"Heh?"

A look to his shoulder, indeed, no more of a fist, his feeling, there was no unpleasantry.

"T-that's it?"

As if unsure of himself

Her answer was soft

"Yes, that's it"

"Or rather, were you expecting more? You really do have unique tastes, Hikigaya-kun"

At the end, playful in her tone.

Even with the realization, his paranoia had yet to leave.

*Sigh*

"You really aren't mad?"

"Haven't I said so from the beginning?"

(Didn't seem convincing)

Back to her voice which was again monotone

"Well, will you explain now?"

Almost another sigh escaped, yet he stated the same answer.

"I told you, a vacation"

With doubt in tone, she attacked.

"Hmmm? A vacation not even Komachi-san knew?"

She got him, with such a mention, now on the defensive, and he could only give a weak confirmation

"Err…yeah"

"I see"

Were her only words, as her eyes closed, in a way, she was thinking of the words to say, the words to use.

She returned her gaze, and to him she asked:

"When did you?..."

"Instead of being a NEET, you're outside? Rather peculiar"

Annoyed, irked, and yet he ignored it, all of it gone, as he simply replied:

"I went to Sobu"

Her expression at that statement changed and turned quite…surprised?

Surprised and horrified.

"Hikigaya-kun…don't tell me…"

Irked by her accusations.

"Komachi took me there, just a visit, don't brand me as something I'm not"

His name was cleared.

Her face was hidden, and now nothing new, with her, no words came, a brief silence before, now, a sound which came from her, low in volume.

"Fufufu"

She giggled, a hidden one, a giggle under her breath that was hidden from all.

Except for him.

And as she looked up, to reach his gaze, with their eyes locked yet again, with a smile in ease, it was warm, true warmth.

"Really, it's been a while"

A line given to him, her words reflected their conversation, thinking so as well, he recounted the past minute, and everything else.

(It's really been that long, huh)

Now, his new comment:

"Yeah, it's been a while"

And he now created a face more casual, more relaxed.

Their half a meter distance remained.

"So, how've you been?"

Her question was rather simple, and in her tone, slight delight.

"Not much, I got just back…that's all"

To his answer, she questioned it.

"Is that really all?"

As if that was not all, she truly asked for an answer, and an answer, he didn't keep hidden.

"I've been…going around….just looking at the things that changed…though, there isn't much"

"Indeed, it's rather the same, nothing new, I suppose"

She agreed with him, such peaceful talk, and now she asked again, in a faint sense of curiosity.

"Then, have you been enjoying it?"

Having a blank stare, he thinks, as he recalls

"The food's still the same"

He looked down, and it seemed his mind had contemplated on someting.

"Peaceful, quiet...just how I like it"

"Those who search for peace are often the ones who cause chaos"

Her retort was rather insulting, therefore he complained:

"Hey, hey, I'm not a troublemaker"

Playful, yet again

"Hiratsuka-sensei will doubt that"

"Hrrnnn"

Annoyed, he grunted, and his eyes, sharper, they glinted.

(This woman….)

"Then, I'll ask something else"

Another question

"Where did you vanish to?"

A simple one, yet, she voiced it with seriousness, and as he saw her, as he heard her words, indeed, he couldn't lie to her, he wouldn't lie to her.

He would simply answer:

"America…"

Filled of doubt, her eyes squinted in suspicion.

"How could you even afford that?"

Her question, it sounded more as to say his claim wasn't possible.

"Hey, I had pocket money, I've saved up, though I used it all"

With that, she gave him a blank stare, somewhat of a hurtful stare, as if she saw through him, as if he wasn't saying enough. With her stare, he felt the pressure, and in timid he answered truthfully.

"I also took a bit…from…well…my parents"

Said so as he shrunk, and it hurt him even when she replied with nothing.

Again, her eyes closed.

"I see"

Was her only response

And in thinking, her slender fingers were slowly placed on her chin, as they gracefully rested there, and now, she asked:

"Can you tell me more?"

Who's that Pokemon?

Alright, I'm gonna go play some Fate.
