Kirara's tale part one

im so so so so sorry its been far to long!!!!!!!

Within the depth of her dreams which she now saw far more than the outside world, black waters surrounded her and slowly began to envelope her body. She couldn't move, yell or hear. The darkness encased her as memories of that day began over in her mind once again.

'When will you be back Tenshi?' and there she was not but two years after the war. Her appearance had not changed much; her bangs were still cut across her forehead and her outfit was still very similar in color but covered more of her body and she no longer wore a head band but two little puffs that framed her bangs.

'I won't be long kirara its a few days journey and ill be back as soon as you miss me.' the young man joked as he tightened his long black hair back. He adjusted himself on his horse as she gave him his swords. ' ill be back with a surprise i promise.' he said before heading off by himself.

Kirara stood there unsure how to feel, she wasn't in love with Tenshi but he came back year after year to make a proposal to her and each time he left and told he tale of the lovely water priestess at kanna village who was unmarried and how he alone how win her heart. This of course only led many others to travel to kanna in order to make kirara their wife, and of course many failed. Some left on their way, others found true romance and love among the other village girls. Creating families and making homes. Soon some samurai stayed and merely made a life among the farmers.

This year however, when Tenshi returned there was something that was off about him, normally he would follow her around as she picked herbs and medical plants. This time however he seemed more interested in the outstanding growth of kanna, it was almost a large town, a blacksmith hut a small shop here and there, it was still overshadowed by the vast amount of farm land for the rice.

She found herself actually trying to get his attention as he seemed to stare and take in information, and she had taken notice as well. So she tried to distract him from time to time but accidentally bumping into him or trying to have him tell her one of his many stories that she normally never paid any attention to. Nothing really seemed to work, so she asked him what was wrong and why he felt so distant. This only made him douge the question onto something else and the every next day he began to pack, it was time to go apparently. This raised kirara's suppistions ever more.

'He left already?' RIchichie asked as he came around the corner helping the village elder in his old age and decreasing health.

'Something troubles you my dear what is it?' the elder gusters for her to answer.

I am sorry elder it's just…" she pauses to choose her words carefully. ' Tenshi, I'm worried about him.'

'Ohh do I sense a romance beginning to bloom?' Richichie teases but the look on Kirara's face does not change.

'How so?' the elder asked, signaling Richichie to move closer to kirara.

'When he left, i felt as if a storm was coming. I can't seem to explain it, but this feeling just isn't going away.' she finally says

'Sometimes storms are good because they bring water, loosen the ground, grow the plants and trees, and bring life everywhere it lands…' he pauses ' it's how we prepare for the storm that matters.'

'Who knows lady kirara it could be a good thing. After all, tenshi has brought many good things to our village. Perhaps he'll bring more.'

With that, Kirara nodded but did not dismiss the feelings she had about the man. As days passed the season began to change and an old man came wandering in. when kirara saw him she knew that he was to be a big part of the storm to come like a castle wall that doesn't succumb to the harsh waves.

He approached her. ' is this kanna village?' he asked and she nodded with a smile. 'I am a traveler looking to see if i could stay here for the winter season. I met my first bit of snow coming up the path not far from here and these old bones aren't meant for the cold.' Kirara looked behind him and saw a large cloud, the first snows were about to arrive and she led the man to one of the villages and explained the traveler's situation. He was given a small hut and kirara and her grandmother along with komachi would come but morning and night and offer him food and water though the winter month.

As spring began to return the path began to clear and just as the stranger was about to say his farewells, a familiar face came riding back in. Tenshi had brought a few friends along with him this time. He dismounted his horse and made his way to the former water priestess.

'Like i said ill be back as soon as you miss me!' he said with a joyful tone and a wink.

'So you have.' her unease has not been misplaced but she smiles at him anyways. ' May I ask who your friends are?' she gusters to the five others behind him.

'Oh. them, they're nothing to worry about. I just bought them so they could meet my future wife!"

' what a lucky woman im sure she'd be happy to meet them' she smiled and began to make her way back toward the village center so see the elder.

When she was far enough away Tenshi motioned for his men to come closer. ' are you boys ready?'

'So this is kanna? Im sure i wont take more than a night.' one of them replied.

Another came forward. 'Is your future wife off limits or is it first come first serve?'

'She's quite lovely i dont mind fighting you for her tenshi- dono.'

'Relaxe when we're done she can be a prize for us all.' Tenshi began to walk into kanna with his men all of whom were unaware of the old traveler resting against an old wood stump. The storm had indeed come.
