Marinette rushed to school hoping she wasn't too late to class. She made it into the class before the bell rang. Marinette got to her seat and breathed a sigh of relief "girl just in time" replied her friend Alya. Mrs. Bustier did roll after the last student called 'here' she told her class "Mayor Bourgeois and Mr. Damocles have an announcement to make so give them all of your attention class.
Mayor Bourgeois and Mr. Damocles walked in front of the class. "We are pleased to announce that this class will be taking a Field trip" Mr. Damocles said. As he had finished his sentence the class burst into cheers not until quilted down by Mrs. Bustier. "Thank you Mrs. Bustier, Your class will be taking a trip to Amity Park in the United States" Mr. Damocles continued. Whispers started like wildfire around the class "the U.S.?" asked one "Amity Park?" said another.
"I know all of you are surprised to hear this but this will be required for your grade" Mr. Damocles said. "You will bring the signed permission slips tomorrow with all of your bags and belongings that you will need, the trip itself is two months long and we will be attending with other students your age at Amity Park's Casper High School" he finished.
Mrs. Bustier passed out the slips out to the students. Marinette started to panic on the inside "what about Hawkmoth? What about the Akumas?" she thought. Marinette looked down at Adrien to see him look somewhat sad. "Adrien's father might not let him go on the trip" Marinette thought sadly when the bell rang for the end of class.
At the end of the school day Marinette told her parents about the trip. At first they were not sure about letting her go then they changed their mind and told her this could be a learning experience and signed the slip.
"Marinette what about Hawkmoth?" her kwami Tikki asked. "I don't know" replied Marinette as she was packing for the trip. Marinette stopped and silently screamed "I forgot to tell Master Fu about the trip". "Why don't we go and tell him" suggested Tikki. "Good idea Tikki" replied Marinette.
Marinette and Tikki went over to Master Fu's apartment. "Master Fu?" asked Marinette when she knocked on the door. The door opened up to see a small old man in a red and flower print shirt. "Marinette is something wrong?" Master Fu asked as they sat down.
"Master I came to tell you about this trip I have to go on for school" she replied. "Where does this trip go?" he asked. "My principal told my class that we are going to some place called Amity Park in the US" she told him. "Amity Park!?" gasped Wayzz Master Fu's kwami. "You know of it?" asked Marinette. "Yes I've heard of it, it is believed to be the biggest area for ghosts to appear" answered Wayzz.
"Ghost!?" squeaked Marinette. "Yes Marinette, ghosts are real and can be very powerful" answered Tikki. Master Fu stroked his goatee and thought "what do you know about ghosts?" he asked the kwamis. "Well, I haven't seen a ghost in centuries" replied Wayzz. "nether have I" answered Tikki. "The last time any of us kwamis saw a ghost was in Egypt right Tikki?" Wayzz asked. "I believe so Wayzz," Tikki replied.
While the two kwamis were reminiscing Marinette looked up Amity Park and found a lot. She scrolled through what was there looking for. "Tikki do the ghosts you remember look green and slightly see through?" she asked. Tikki looked at her holder and nodded "why do you ask Marinette?"
"Well while you and Wayzz were reminiscing I looked up Amity Park and found an entire Web page about the town's ghosts and look at what I found" Marinette replied, holding her phone up for her kwami to see. The page had a lot of pictures of many types of ghosts one of the ghosts caught Tikki's attention. A teenage ghost with white hair and glowing green eyes wearing a black and white hazmat suit with a ghostly looking D.P. on the ghost's chest wearing a black and white mask.
The title of the photo was called Phantom ghost hero of Amity Park.
Wayzz took a closer look at the picture to gasp in surprise "It can't be" he whispered. "What is it Wayzz?" asked Marinette "Is something wrong?". Wayzz looked at the three of them then back at the picture. "Tikki, do you remember what happened in Egypt to one of the Pharaohs?" Wayzz asked. Tikki thought about it "do you mean King Tutankhamun?" she replied. Wayzz nodded "well I remember that Tutankhamun was very young when he died" she recollected. "Do you remember what he received when he was made Pharaoh over Egypt?" he asked her.
"I remember one of the Guardians of the Miraculous was there" she replied. "Do you remember what the guardian gave Tutankhamun?" Wayzz asked. "I remember a box that was given to him," Tikki answered. "But the box looked sealed I think" Tikki finished. "The box we saw back then was a sealed Miraculous box" Wayzz answered.
"What a Miraculous box! What does this have to do with the picture that Marinette found on her phone?" Master Fu asked, shocked at the new information. "I think that Miraculous box that me and Tikki saw back thousands of years ago has been found and unsealed" Wayzz replied to Master Fu.
Wayzz flew up to Marinette's phone and pointed to the bracelet that Phantom had on his left wrist. "That is the Ghost Miraculous, it grants the welder the powers of a ghost" Wayzz told them. Master Fu stroked his goatee in thought Marinette looked at the kwamis in surprise. "I suppose we have to take a look at this Miraculous" Master Fu finally answered after making up his mind.
"Wayzz and myself will go as well to Amity Park to look into this Phantom, Marinette you and Catnoir need to be on your guard in case Hawkmoth shows up and starts trouble" Master Fu told Marinette. Marinette nodded in agreement. "I guess we will see you there Master Fu" Marinette replied bowing to him and left with her kwami.
