Rachel woke to the sound of a tiny pair of feet pattering around the wooden floor. She opened her bleary eyes to check the time on her bedside table, 6:59:57am. She closed her eyes once more and pretended to be asleep.
3... 2... 1...
"MOMMAAAAA" said the tiny dirty blonde girl who barged in to Rachel's room. The little girl jumped into the bed when she found her momma still laying on the bed with her eyes closed. Huffing and shaking her momma's shoulders, "Momma! You gotta wakes up!", "Mhmm", trying her best to stop from smiling, the little girl, getting her impatience from her momma jumped on top of Rachel to wake her up, "OOOOF", with that Rachel finally opened her eyes.
"MOMMAAA! yous finany awake!" said the little girl happily, sitting up with her daughter in her arms, "What is it that made you wake me really early, princess?" The little girl's jaw dropped in disbelief with the words that came out of her mother's mouth, "Yous forget??!?" Rachel feigning confusion, "Forget what, princess?"
While her daughter was no doubt about to prepare for a totally cuter version of a Rachel Berry type of ramble with how she can't believe her momma forgot what day today is, Rachel laughed on the look of incredulity on her daughter's face before she got started on her ramble.
"Of course my dear Alice, I know what day is today." said Rachel with mirth in her eyes. Alice beamed up at her mother and placed her arms in her momma's neck, "I can't believe you was joking me momma." Chuckling, Rachel asked "Are you excited? What would you like to eat on your very first day of dance class?" "YESS AND I WAN EAT LOTSA BACOON!" answered Alice. "Really princess? We just ate bacon two days ago!" "but bacons isso good!" Still chuckling, "Fine fine! Just make sure you go get ready. We're going to the park before we go to your dance class." "YAAAAAAY! WE GON SEE DUCKIES TOO. BEST. DAY. EVER!" answered Alice while hopping off her momma's arms and running to her room. "No running!" is what she heard before she got inside her room.
Still smiling, Rachel got out of bed and made her way to the kitchen to go make her princess her favorite meal.
Lots of crispy, greasy bacon with scrambled eggs and waffles.
Just like her.

After the mother and daughter duo finished eating and preparing for the day, they got out of their 3rd floor apartment and went on with their day.
The apartment they live in has 3 bedrooms which Rachel's dad payed half for and Rachel worked hard on her several jobs to pay the other half. It is in a quiet neighborhood full of friendly people with a bakery and a small diner on each side of their apartment building. Luckily enough, it is walking distance to one of Rachel's waitressing job, Alice's dance and future kindergarten school. They have been living there after the moment Rachel gave birth to her daughter.
After the clusterfuck that happened in senior year, Rachel asked her fathers to move schools since she can't bear the mocking laughs and taunts of the students while being pregnant. They knew that her belly would show in a few months and they also knew that pregnant or not, the jocks and the cheerios wouldn't hesitate to continue on with their bullying and slushying ways.
Instead of moving schools, her fathers suggested to move to Boston since her daddy, Leroy, was coincidentally offered a better job offer at Massachusetts General Hospital. Rachel readily agreed because not only will it get her as far away from the bullies and Lima in general, it will make her literally nearer in achieving her dreams with her family still near her. Baby on the way or not, Rachel's determined to make sure her name is up on Broadway. They decided since it was hard to enroll her in the middle of the school year and she didn't want to experience the same thing she endured in Mckinley, they decided to enroll her in homeschool. Not only can she be safe from bullies, she can go take care of herself and her baby better.
After buying bread on the way to the park, they finally made it. While Alice went straight to the pond full of ducks with her tiny hands carrying the bread, Rachel settled to sit on the bench nearby watching her in case something happens. It was a peaceful sunny day and the park is yet to be filled with people of all kinds.
Alice looked behind her and noticed her momma sitting on the bench instead of feeding the ducks with her, "Momma! Come helps me, I wants to feed the duckies with you." Standing up while smiling from how adorable her daughter is, "Sure princess." After enjoying an hour and a half in the park playing with the ducks and socializing with the other families present, they got up and left to go to Alice's dance class.
