Kids were never part of her plan. She never thought of having her own; scared she'd turn out exactly like her parents. But this... this is different.
She has a kid... a fucking kid! and she didn't even know about it.
Quinn has been struggling about her thoughts especially since she found out a secret just a week ago. She was barely eating and barely sleeping, thoughts about her daughter and the only woman she cared about romantically consuming her mind.
Was it right for Rachel to hide their daughter from her? Well... she did act like a massive asshole who totally deserves to rot in hell for announcing to everyone how she's the worst fuck and worst regret of her life. And don't forget announcing to everyone about how she's the one who took her virginity even though she knew the brunette would get hurt.
Even if she did all that, she still deserves to have the right to meet her daughter... right? Rachel may work a lot, but she did do a good job at raising their daughter alone in a big city, do they even need her? What if she already lost her chance with them?
The blonde had always dreamt of the time she would reconnect with the brunette. She had thought if she were a nicer person, she'd have the only woman she ever loved in her arms.
All these questions and thoughts lurking on her mind is messing with her head. She used to think kids were annoying and just a nuisance, but she can't deny she feels a strong connection and love to the little girl. She can't take all these questions anymore, no matter what Rachel says, she won't stop her from having a relationship with their daughter.
Rachel may be angry with her, but she has the right to be angry too. No one should be denied the request to meet their own kid.
With that, Quinn started thinking of a plan to get into Rachel's good graces and ask for a relationship with Alice.
She knows there's a 98% probability of Rachel never giving her a second chance, but that's fine as long as she allows her to have a chance with her daughter.
The blonde already knew where the brunette works and she knew that Marley is friends with her. Maybe she'd ask her for Rachel's number.

A week since the halloween party has passed, and everyone noticed how Rachel acted different.
She barely talked to anyone with the exception of Alice and her customers. Everyone doesn't have an idea what could possibly turn Rachel into someone so cold and quiet.
Rachel and quiet together in a sentence? Yea, something major must have happened.
No one knew what happened, but a certain blue eyed brunette with a feisty blonde girlfriend had an idea. She knew something was definitely going on with Rachel and Quinn. She may have been drunk, but she noticed how Rachel ran away the same time Quinn stood shocked from their booth. She may have been busy with preparing for the party and accommodating the guests, but she definitely saw the way Rachel and all three best friends freeze up.
There's something going on between them and she's gonna get to the bottom of it.
Today is another day of ballet classes, maybe she could ask Rachel when she fetches Alice from her home. She could inquire her on the phone, but she knew the other brunette would hang up.
Maybe she could ask Quinn... but that's probably a bad idea, she's seen her and Santana in a quarrel before. If she thought Santana was terrifying she certainly haven't met Quinn Fabray. Ladies may act like demons who came from the fiery depths of hell, but they sure are hot.
"Marley"
Snapping out her thoughts, looking up from where she's placed on her reception table, she saw Quinn Fabray with a scary determined face in front of her. Swallowing a lump from her throat, "Yes, Ms. Fabray?"
"No need to call me that, Quinn is fine" was replied.
Clearing her throat, "O-okay Ms. Quinn" was nervously replied. "Do you need something from me?" nervously asked.
Smirking, "Hmm, yes actually"
The look on the blonde's face looks so scary, the brunette was glad she brushed off her idea of asking her for information.
"Well, what is it that you need?"
"I've noticed you're closest to little Alice's mother compared to all of the others" was stated more as a statement instead of a question.
Intrigued with what was said, "Well yes, she's my friend. What's that got to do with you?"
"A lot actually, but I'm not gonna talk about it. I need her phone number" was demanded more than requested.
"Why should I give you that? For all I know you could be a creepy stalker" was curiously and boldly answered.
Glaring, "I am not a stalker. You see, Ms. Berry and I have some unfinished business that I would very much love to attend to. So if you would kindly give me her number, I won't turn to drastic measures" replied Quinn with a fake sweet innocent smile.
Marley knew a threat was hidden there. And she knew she would rather take Rachel's wrath than the really scary blonde. Taking a deep breath, she gave her number without asking anymore questions. Usually Quinn would stay and converse with her best friends and some of the kids, but she left after she thanked Marley for the number.

Rachel was having a hard time coping with what happened.
She has no idea what to do and she can't ask her friends for guidance since none of them knows what it's about.
Her only hope is her fathers, but they live hours away from them. She can't just take leave from work and this matter is much better done in person instead of on the phone.
Walking to the back of the diner to take her break, Don't Rain on My Parade started blasting through the air, snapping her from her thoughts. Picking up her phone without checking the caller, "Hello, Rachel Berry speaking"
"Hey, This is Jenn! This is Chloe and Maria's mother"
Surprised with who called her, "Oh hi! I'm sorry I didn't check the caller" was answered embarrassedly.
Chuckling was heard through the line, "That's fine. The girls here were just inviting you and Alice to go trick or treating in our neighborhood"
Elated with the invite, "Oh, we would love to come! When is this, if I may ask?"
"It's actually this Saturday"
"Well since it's the weekend, we have no prior engagement happening. We would happily come!"
The mothers continued on with their conversation, asking about when, where, and what to wear.
This is the first time Alice made friends and was invited to a playdate, and the mother can't be anymore excited for her daughter. She knew her daughter was having a hard time socializing with other kids from the park and her class, she knew how she would come off as loud and talkative then shy the next.
Taking a lunch break, she heard her phone ring again, checking to see if it was one of her friends taking Alice home, she was surprised to see an unfamiliar number.
Answering cautiously, "Hello?"
"Is this Rachel Berry" was replied by a familiar husky voice.
Sighing, "What do you want"
"Can we meet up"
"Why would I want to?" the brunette replied, continuing "how did you even get my number?"
After hearing silence for so long, Rachel checked to see if the phone was cut, surprised to see it still on going, she brought it back to her ear.
"I-i have my ways... just... please... please" was replied timidly.
Hearing the begging from the caller, "Fine, meet me at the diner when my shift ends at 4pm", continuing before the caller can reply, "If I have to wait as much as a minute for you Fabray, you better delete my number", with that she hung up.
