"Princess, are you listening?"

"Yes, momma"

Today's finally the weekend which means it's the day of Alice's first ever playdate. The mother and daughter duo could not be any more excited; they don't know who is more excited, the mother or the little girl personally invited.

Kneeling to be eye level with her daughter, "is it okay if a friend could come join us today?"

"A friend?" the little girl pondered out loud, "whos it mama?" she asked.

"I bet you'll be one happy princess when I tell you who it'll be" Rachel teased. Seeing her daughter puffing her cheeks, a sign of an impending Rachel Berry ramble cute version, she continued, "It's Quinn, baby!" faking enthusiasm when she mentioned the name.

Bouncing on her toes, "YAAAAAY QUINNN! I MISS QUINN" she exclaimed.

Even if the two women aren't in friendly terms, they will do the mature thing and won't drag Alice into their quarrel. Rachel would gladly tell Quinn to fuck off, but if her daughter wants Quinn in this trick or treating, she sure will go trick or treating with them.

What my baby girl wants, my baby girl gets... even if it's Quinn, she thought bitterly.

Why did I even think of inviting Quinn? Oh yea... we're doing the co-parenting thing except Alice doesn't know she is her other mother, gotcha.

Standing up from her kneeling position, wincing a bit with every sound of bone that popped, she clapped her hands together, "Well, how bout you get your cute little butt ready while I go invite Quinn." She got a high pitched squeal and a quick hug before a blonde ball of excitement sprinted to her room. Rachel didn't even have time to tell her to not run with how fast she rushed into her room.

Going inside her own room, she decided to go text Quinn about their plans for the day.

To Quinn:

We're going trick or treating with her best friends from ballet. Be there, don't forget your costume.

After sending the address and other details for the day, she got ready herself. She knows she should have called her instead of texting, it would have been a lot easier to communicate that way but she doesn't think she's ready to hear the other woman's voice so early in the morning, besides she wants to act all cold and aloof to prove this isn't affecting her. Yea, Rachel's petty like that... and she's really enjoying making things hard for the other woman.

Santana and Brittany were busy with their daily sweet lady morning kisses, whimpers and moans were the only sounds they can hear that they didn't hear the sound of keys jingling on their front door. Too busy "getting their mack on", the couple jumped away from each other when a shout was heard through the apartment.

"S! B! Do you have a costume I can borrow?" asked a panicking Quinn.

Getting up from her very comfortable position in between her girlfriend's very delicious long legs, putting up an oversized shirt, not bothering to even put on an underwear, the Latina barged outside of their bedroom and into the living room where an anxiety filled blonde was in, "What the fuck are you doing?! I was just about to put my—" a scowling Santana trailed off.

"Babe" a thankfully fully dressed Brittany came out, reaching a hand to Santana's elbow, stopping her from saying something completely private and inappropriate.

After minutes of Brittany doing her magic, calming down her hard headed girlfriend, "Sorry bout that, Q. It's been awhile since she's got any" she said, when Santana was about to say a rebuttal, Brittany gave her a look that basically said "you open your mouth, we're not continuing where we left off", making her girlfriend roll her eyes and cross her arms instead, pouting like a 5 year old who didn't get an ice cream.

Sensing Santana won't make up another immature fuss, "So... what're you asking? I think I heard a costume, if I'm not mistaken?" asked Brittany.

"I need a costume. A halloween costume. Something I can wear to trick or treat with or something I can wear around kids. Just! A family friendly halloween costume that won't make me look stupid" Quinn rambled, barely stopping for air.

The couple stared wide eyed at their blonde best friend, they've never heard her ramble that much and that fast before. For a second she sounded like Rachel Berry.

Ohhh, trick or treat? kid friendly? Maybe we'll finally have a much needed conversation about the elephant in the room, the couple thought.

Quinn saw the thoughtful looks on her bestfriends' faces and she knew that they're having the conversation she's been trying her best to put off. She went to their kitchen and decided to make some coffee (orange juice for her bubbly bestfriend) for them, she was in such a hurry to leave her apartment when she saw the text Rachel sent, she forgot to drink her daily caffeine fix. She's not gonna start a conversation where it could probably get emotional without her dear coffee.

The women were sitted back at the couch of the living room when Quinn started explaining. She explained all about how she was at fault for making Rachel think raising Alice by herself with the help of her fathers was the better choice, how it was her fault for choosing to be a grade A asshole over taking a minute of her time to converse with Rachel back in senior year, how it was her fault Rachel has changed from that bubbly, loving, forgiving girl, how she was at fault for not having a relationship with her daughter, she also explained about that talk she had with Rachel at the park. When Santana curiously asked how all of this even happened, how Quinn and Rachel have a baby together, how the school's stud and school's favorite punching bag had the time for each other to even sleep with one another, Quinn just said about how they saw each other one day and decided to hang out instead of being alone, bored out of their minds. She lied, but she doesn't want to give Rachel another reason to not trust her, her fathers doesn't even know the full extent of what happened when Quinn saved her as far as she knows, so she's gonna keep what she's assuming is Rachel's secret to herself.

Finally telling her bestfriends about it, didn't feel as bad as she thought, in fact she felt relieved like a weight has been lifted off her shoulders for finally telling someone instead of keeping it all to herself. It was a surprise when after all that talking happened, Santana of all people, initiated a hug. It felt nice to feel her pragmatic, usually scowling bestfriend be supportive by taking the time to actually listen to Quinn, and surprisingly say something comforting and helpful to her problem instead of saying her customary insults.

Santana doesn't agree with Quinn blaming everything on herself I mean she has the most blame but the midget is to blame too, she doesn't agree with the way Rachel basically ran off well, I kinda am at fault too for laughing my ass off, gathering the attention of the entire McKinley population, and further humiliating Berry. If it wasn't for Alice being enrolled on her Britt's dance studio, then Quinn would probably never know about her own kid.

Breaking the hug, "Ok, ok! Enough of that sappy shit. We've gotz to find my girl Q a kid friendly super smokin' costume that would make the hobbit speechless. You gotz it?" looking at both of the blondes faces.

"Why would I have to wear something like that?" asked Quinn, confusedly.

"Cuz we've gots to get you your girls" said Santana in a duh tone, looking at Quinn as if she were stupid.

"Girls?" Quinn asked, still not understanding.

Seeing her girlfriend closing her eyes and pinching the bridge of her nose, no doubt trying to rein in her anger for her stupid bestfriend, she butted in, "We've got to get you and Rachie together!" Brittany excitedly said while grinning from ear to ear.

"What! but... I— pwa" Quinn spluttered, looking like a tomato with how red she is in the face.

Rolling her eyes, "Seriously Q, stop acting like a dumb blonde. It doesn't suit you" the Latina uttered. "We saw the way you looked when you mentioned their names. You have this soft gentle smile everytime you hear Alice's name, you have this dreamy look and you even blush a bit when you hear Rachel's name" Brittany continued.

Even after years of being bestfriends with the blonde, Quinn was still shocked with how intelligent and observant her ditzy blonde friend is.

"It's obvious you're in love with her."

W-what? I mean, I'm not gonna deny but I was kinda in love with Rachel before, but that was ages ago! I mean sure I feel nervous around her and I want to be with her all the time and I want to touch or hug her eveytime I'm near her, but it doesn't mean I'm in love with her... right? Well... I do love her in a "thank you for bringing me the most beautiful and precious gift anyone can give to me" and her connection with Alice but I am most definitely not IN love with her. God, I need more coffee!
