Hi guys welcome to another chapter. Before we begin yesterday the news came that Stan Lee passed away. As a huge fan of all comics this hit me hard. RIP Stan Lee.

.

Diana looked over Coast city, now very bored. She was now in the early hours, and nothing else had happened. Much as she didn't want anything to happen, Diana did enjoy fighting her enemies. Fighting was the only thing Diana ever did during her early years. Helping others was just a bonus on top. Wonder Woman was ready to call it quits when the sound of a bullet rang out. The Amazon flew over to investigate, quickly as she could. When she reached her destination, Diana walked into a bloodbath. The princess gasped, covering her mouth in disgust. Lying on the floor was that woman from earlier. Standing above her with a gun in his hand, was the man. The expression from her face turned from shock to anger. Diana rushed at the murderer. Blocking several bullets before throwing him onto the ground.

"What did you do?" She whispered. When the man refused to reply, she shouted louder than before. "What did you do?" There were no tears in her eyes, only rage.

"I had to. She was a rat that needed to be exterminated!" He responded showing no remorse. That comment earned a punch to his gut.

"And what you said about your twin brother?"

"All a lie." Diana didn't even notice the rain start to flow from the heavens. All she cared about was making this man suffer. The amazon pulled him up from his throat. Her victim struggled, but couldn't break free. Diana readied a punch, something that would end him once and for all. However before she could finish him, a small voice called out.

"Daddy?" Diana was suddenly bought back to reality as she looked around to see a small girl, no older than eight. She had white skin and long black hair. Diana was surprised at how much she looked like a younger version of her.

"Pumpkin, thought I told you to stay in the car." The man said in a caring tone.

"Why are you fighting with Wonder Woman?" The little girl sounded so innocent, not knowing what was happening. Diana looked back at the criminal, then to his daughter. A flood of shame came crashing down on her. Diana let go of the man as police turned up onto the scene. As they handcuffed the man, Diana slowly slithered away. Revenge was the only motivation behind that attack. Diana kept telling herself that it was a simple mistake. That the future would bring different results. Yet there was no running away from her true feelings. When Diana was choking the man, she enjoyed it.

Krillin, Goku and Yamcha stood by the bar each taking it in turns to drink some shots. The two friends became more relaxed as the night went on.

"So then Yamcha, thinking that he's the strongest of us. Challenges Tien to a fight. I'm pleading with them to stop. Against my wishes Yamcha flys at Tien. Who promptly kicks him in the leg again." Krillin explained. The three men laughed in response.

"I tell ya, honestly thought my leg was broken... again." Yamcha informed them. They each took another shot. "Still can't believe how far we've come. Finding the dragonballs for the first time sure felt like a long time ago." Yamcha looked over towards the others, sitting in the booth. "Sure is amazing how many of us in our little group now."

"Sure is." Goku added.

"And it's all because of you Goku." The Saiyan turned around, slightly embarrassed.

"That's not true."

"Yeah it is. Think of how many people joined because of you. Piccolo, Diana, Clark... even me. You truly changed my life Son Goku." Yamcha suddenly felt extremely uneasy. All of a sudden running off towards the toilet. Goku chuckled as he noticed a depressed looking Krillin.

"You alright?" The dwarf looked back, pulling a fake smile.

"Of course, never better." He replied. Goku however wasn't willing to let this go.

"Krillin you can tell me anything." The bald monk had another drink, clearly depressed about something.

"Remember when we were kids, training with master Roshi?" The Saiyan nodded. "Back then we would spar for days on end. You'd always have the edge, but not so much that you'd leave me behind. Then I died the first time. And ever since then you've ascended to levels beyond me. Just wish I could do more." Goku was shocked to hear the self doubt that his friend was showing.

"Come on Krillin. You're being too hard on yourself. You've helped us all out plenty of times. You and Barry defeated Nappa."

"That was totally pointless, you could have done that with one arm."

"You helped out on Namek."

"And I was such a help, wasn't I." The sarcasm showed. "Look Goku, I appreciate you trying to cheer me up. But I just can't help but feel useless." The two friends stared at one another. Not knowing where to go. "Let's just enjoy tonight." Krillin slithered over to the booth leaving a saddened Goku. Getting stronger was the only thing he ever strived for. It hurt that it made his friends feel like that. The Saiyan sighed as he joined up with everyone else.

.

Gero sat in the hospital bed. With the exception of his doctor, Gero was alone. Silas had come to visit earlier. But apart from him, no one else showed. It was understandable. Gero didn't have any family left besides his imprisoned son. He always kept to himself, rarely making friends. It was a life he enjoyed for the most part. But through all the positives, he had to accept every negative too. The pain he felt was still there, however morphine helped calm it. Gero looked over to see his doctor reading some notes.

"We've received your results Mr Devoe. I'm afraid I have some bad news." Gero leaned in closer.

"What kind of bad news?" He sourly replied.

"We believe you're suffering from Rhabdomyolysis. However your case seems to be much more severe." Gero showed no emotions during this exchange. "Your muscles are deteriorating at a tremendous pace. Eventually they'll shut down."

"There's no cure." Gero muttered, coming to a realisation. "How long do I have?"

"It's hard to say, there are so many different factors..."

"How long do I have?" The scientist started to lose his temper. His outburst unsettling the doctor. Who looked at his notes once more.

"Best case scenario? Roughly six months." Gero's heart skipped a beat. All his planning, the sacrifices and sorrow. His mind was leagues above the rest of this pathetic world. And now his body was going to give up right before Gero's triumphant victory. None of it was fair! Gero could almost hear Son Goku laughing at him. "It's probably best to spend your remaining time with friends and family." His doctors sympathies fell on deaf ears however. The former red ribbon scientist looked down in despair. After all this time, it wasn't Son Goku that killed him. It was his own genetics.

.

The men walked out of their club. Everyone except Clark and Bruce were very much worse for wear. Yamcha was the worst, who's sickness got him thrown out to begin with. Despite all that though, their spirits were very high.

"That... was fun." Arthur whispered as they all walked down the street.

"Totally should do that again." Victor added. Hal, who was in front turned back to everyone.

"Listen, I just wanted to thank you all. I couldn't ask for better friends than you all." The team all clapped as Barry began shedding tears. "Come on Barry. I know you're happy, but enough with the waterworks."

"It's not that." Barry tried to dry his eyes. Everyone else looked over in concern. "I just can't stop thinking about Mufasa. Why would Scar kill his only brother?" The others laughed. Before Krillin popped up with a question.

"Hey guys, what's the limit for drink flying?"

"Maybe we should find a place for the night?" Clark suggested. They all looked down to see Yamcha passed out drunk. Ironically in the same position he had been when faced with the Siberman. "If only we knew someone who lived here that could accommodate us all." All eyes turned to Bruce, who scowled in response.

"I hate you all."

.

Diana slumped over the sofa back at Capsule Corp. Her unsheathed sword lay on the table. Diana stared at her reflection through the blade. The Amazon's eyes drooped, her hair frizzed. Situations like that weren't uncommon, but this made Diana tremble. She almost lost control and killed that man. Worse than that, she almost murdered him in front of his daughter. Diana kept thinking that maybe man's world wasn't worth saving. Or maybe man's world needed someone better to save it. In the background Bulma and Vegeta looked over at the tearful Amazon. The CEO of Capsule Corp wanted to cheer her up. However she figured that she wasn't the right person for the role.

"Go talk to her!" Bulma ordered the prince, who distastefully stared back.

"I'm a Saiyan elite. Not some psychiatrist." He angrily responded.

"You have the strongest connection with her. She'll listen to you!" Vegeta was about to walk away, until Bulma conceived a conniving plan. "Plus if you don't, I'll cut your food portions in half." Vegeta instantly ground to a halt.

"You wouldn't dare." There was a hint of menace in his voice. Bulma smirked as she had the prince beaten. Who could only grunt as he went to cheer Diana up. Bulma slid out, knowing her job was done. Vegeta stood next to the almost broken Amazon.

"How do you do it Vegeta?" Diana very softly asked him. "How do you live with the fact that so much blood is on your hands?" Vegeta stared off into the distance, remembering different parts of his life.

"You and your friends have me mistaken. I don't take pleasure in people's death. I take pleasure in the fight they put up. The adrenaline that pumps through my body... is intoxicating. Any true warrior will tell you the same, even that idiot Kakarot."

"That doesn't answer my question."

"People only truly give one hundred percent when their life is on the line. That's how I'm okay with their deaths."

"Murder. That's how you're okay with their murder." Vegeta glared back.

"Whatever you want to call it." Diana stood up facing the Saiyan.

"Today I almost killed a man. It was only for a brief second but I almost did it. As I flew away. Do you know what I was thinking? That I almost turned into you. Do you ever wonder what goes on in their heads, during your annihilations?"

"Did you forget I lost my planet too?"

"So because Frieza blew up your planet, that justifies the atrocities you commit?" Vegeta failed to respond to that question. "You have no idea what true pain feels like!" Suddenly the prince's cool demeanour turned to anger.

"Oh I don't do I?" Vegeta instantly took off his shirt. His body was covered in scars. However Diana could see that these scars were not from battle. They were way too precise. "Frieza gave me these. Not because I ever failed him, oh no. But because he wanted to." Diana's eyes widened, she had no idea. The Saiyan had suffered a lot at the hands of that tyrant. She was actually sympathising with him. Diana soon remembered Vegeta's past actions. She turned away in shame.

"No, you're still a monster."

"If I'm such a monster, why do you continue to train with me? Why concern yourself when Turles threatened my life?"

"I'm ashamed to admit..."

"Why?" Diana suddenly turned around and kissed him. Vegeta's eyes widened, not knowing what to do. Eventually he surrendered as they continued to the bedroom. Both warriors now showed their weakness. Vegeta, Prince of all Saiyan's. Ruthless destroyer of world's now cared for someone. Meanwhile Diana, Princess of the Amazons. Abandoned her islands principles had fallen for a man.

.

So that just happened. Originally it was going to be Vegeta x Bulma. But somewhere along the way. I think during the Frieza saga the idea about Vegeta falling in love with the woman he killed just hit me. Then I realised it opened a few more doors for future events and I had to do it. I just want to point out that though this just happened they aren't a proper couple yet. Vegeta and Diana's relationship will be similar to Vegeta and Bulmas in the show. Let me know what you think.

Next week: Flashpoint starts.

Reviews:

Dark Flacon: Glad you enjoyed

A guy1013: Will Do

Bukasa525: Namekians reproduce asexually so Piccolo having a romantic relationship wouldn't work.

1: Its Carol. (Probably should've mentioned her name.)

2: Diana will definitely have soul searching journey. But it won't be back at Themyscira.

3: Thanks so much

Victor0606: Thanks

Jalen Johnson: Vegeta definitely wouldn't be spending his time saving people.

Etian: It's not so much being worthy. Anyone can wear the helmet. But Nabu draws on magical energy. The more magic power a person has the more powerful Fate is.

Cruden: Thanks

Guest 1: It will be a different story

Guest 2: I won't lie. There are other stories I have thought about. However at the moment I'm happy writing this. I have a lot more stories I want to tell in this universe. And won't quit halfway through.
