Hi everyone welcome to another chapter. Its been a long time but im finally ready. And I really hope you enjoy this one. Because... Well wait until the end.

Barry loathed wearing ties. It was always felt like an impossible task putting them on. However he and his adopted family had been invited to the Flash museum opening. And there was no way he was going to miss it. So that meant he'd have to put up with this wretched suit. Barry wore a black suit, white shirt and navy tie. However all he wanted was to make an appearance as the Flash. Though that wouldn't be a very good idea. The speedster soon looked around to see both Iris and Wally standing in the doorway. Iris was now much older and had longer hair. Meanwhile Wally had similar ginger hair, albeit much shorter. White skin and blue eyes. However unlike his sister Wally was in his mid to late teens. And had a much taller, skinnier appearance.

"Barry, hurry up. Uncle Joe is waiting for us." Wally eagerly informed him.

"Can't a guy get changed in peace?" Barry pleaded with his adopted family.

"Hey we've only got a couple of days left before you move out. And we're going to make the most of it." The blonde laughed at that quip. Until once again he failed to knot his tie, cursing out loud. Iris walked up to her friend and started to dress him properly.

"Hey Wally go wait downstairs, I've got this." Iris asked. The teenager nodded as he completed Iris's request. The two smiled as the tie was finally complete.

"He seems exited." Barry noted.

"He thinks the Flash will turn up. Honestly that kid is obsessed with him."

"I think it's great. If you're going to idolise a role model. The Flash isn't exactly a bad one to have."

"True. So I've done a little digging and it turns out that star labs currently have an opening available." The speedster groaned not wanting to have this conversation. "It's not that far outside the city. It pays more than what you're currently earning."

"Iris we've been over this. I'm happy where I am."

"I know but Barry, this is you're dream job we're talking about."

"It was my dream!" The anger in his voice shocked Iris West. The CSI took a deep breath, calming himself. "It's not that I don't appreciate what you're trying to do. But being part of the CCPD is just something I have to do right now." The female walked away, before turning back. The disappointment on her face was in full force.

"Whatever you say Barry."

.

The West family's eyes all widened as they walked into the main hall. Throughout the hall there were dozens of banners covered in lightning symbols. An assortment of food and beverages. And multiple antiques that were part of crime scenes The Flash visited. Barry still couldn't believe that they were doing this all for him. It was certainly a huge honour. The four were soon greeted by a waitress.

"Drinks?" She politely asked.

"Uhh yes. We'll have three glasses of champagne and one orange juice." Joe responded, taking the glasses from her tray. Wally annoyingly glared at his father.

"Hey." He interjected.

"You are not twenty one. So don't even think about it." The four raised their glasses, toasting the Flash. Barry cracked a smile as they all drank. Joe soon turned his head and spotted a familiar face. "Oh that's Captain Singh, I best say hello."

"Wow I haven't seen him in months. I'll come with." Iris said.

"Me too. Barry you coming?" Wally questioned the speedster. Who took a step back to look around.

"Actually, I think I'm gonna take a look at some of the exhibits. I'll meet up with you all later." Barry replied. The three walked of towards the police captain. The blonde simply wished to spend time by himself. Reminiscing about his previous endeavours. However that didn't come to pass. Barry turned around and knocked into an elderly gentleman. Who ended up with champagne on his shirt. Barry covered his mouth in shock, while the gentleman cursed.

"This was a brand new suit." He ranted under his breath. The speedster apologised, rubbing a napkin into his shirt. "Stop that's making it worse."

"Sorry." The man sighed looking down on his now ruined shirt.

"This is why I dislike places such as this. Too many circus monkeys parading throughout." Barry looked up at him, offended.

"If you hate this place so much, why are you even here?"

"Even the most feeble minds could guess. I'm here to see The Flash. There is... research I wish to conduct."

"Wait do you work for Star Labs?" The young man's eyes lit up like a child on Christmas Day. "I'm a big fan?" This peaked the man's interest.

"A scientist yourself?"

"I have PHD's in forensic science and biology."

"That's rather impressive, Mr..."

"Allen. Barry Allen." The young man held his hand out. While the older gentleman did the same.

"Clifford Devoe." The two men shook hands. Neither knowing that they would soon eventually clash.

.

Barry and Devoe spent the next thirty minutes looking around the various exhibits. From Pied Pipers flute to one of King Shark's teeth. Each one fascinated both men, however there was one that took the cake. A flag with a small black lightning bolt.

"So this is the symbol of Cicada. A metahuman who had the ability to steal one's life force away." Barry explained. "Each time he did, it would extend his lifespan."

"So theoretically he could live forever. Oh how I long for that particular ability." Gero stated. Barry smirked, looking at the elderly gentleman.

"Well if all else fails you could just build yourself a new body." Barry of course was joking. However Devoe was actually engrossed by this idea. Maybe their was a way to make it work. It wasn't like he had anything else to lose. A very interesting hypothesis, Mr Allen. I will certainly..." Before Devoe could finish a loud bang could be heard from the front door. Barry was shocked as he noticed to figures step through. The first a male. Who was dressed in a grey winter coat. And the second a female. Wearing a white dress, covered in gold ribbons. Barry instantly recognised them as Leonard and Lisa Snart. Leonard pulled out his ice gun, and covered the exit. Trapping everyone inside. While everyone else was panicking, Barry made his way into the toilet, where he pulled out a ring. After hitting a button on the side his suit came flying out. Quickly the speedster changed into his costume. Barry wasn't expecting the Flash to make an appearance. However he knew a hero was needed.

"Ladies and Gentleman, we're sorry for interrupting your party. We'll be gone soon." Leonard shouted to a very nervous crowd.

"So if you all are willing to head over to that side and be good little hostages. No one will get hurt." Lisa commanded. The two suddenly felt a presence, they looked to see the Flash standing there.

"It seems the guest of honour has finally shown up to his party."

"Captain Cold and Golden Glider, deadliest brother, sister duo I know. Why are you guys here? You're thieves... not killers!" The Flash questioned them.

"These trinkets, artefacts and memorabilia can fetch a lot of money at the black market. So we thought about helping ourselves to it all." Captain Cold retorted.

"Come on guys, we've been through this before. You try and steal something. I find a way to stop you... blah... blah. And I end up saving the day. So why don't we end this now and take the two of you to your cells?" The two thieves chuckled

"Who said anything about the two of us?" Barry suddenly looked up to see the walls covered with his own reflection. Then replacing him was a man dressed in an orange and green outfit. A sinister laugh rang through the hall. Barry instantly knew who it belong too. A thief by the name of Sam Scudder.

"Mirror Master... you should know by now I hate hide and seek." Barry braved himself for one of Mirror Master's laser beams. They always appeared from the wall. However instead he felt a huge explosion by his feet. The blast sent Barry flying a few feet backwards. The speedster lay on the floor, looking up at a brunette man. He wore a blue trench-coat and hat, coupled with several metallic boomerangs. "Oh, Captain Boomerang. You're here too?"

"Good day Flash, how does it feel having an entire museum for us to rob?" Boomerang or Digger Harkness asked. The thief had a very thick Australian accent.

"Oh you know it's nice... just a long trip." Barry responded. Before swiping at the Aussies legs, causing him to fall. "It's all worth it in the..." Before the CSI was finished however he had to quickly dodge an incoming fireball. It's creator was someone with a burnt face and a deep voice. He was dressed in a white flame resistant suit and big goggles. Barry recognised him as 'Mick' Rory Calhoun.

"Love the smell of barbecue!" The lunatic shouted. Flash though, wasn't impressed.

"Heatwave, that's not cool. I was in the middle of a conversation!" The Speedster sent Heatwave soaring though the air with an uppercut. The scorching heat of fire was soon replaced by the sub freezing temperatures of ice. Captain Cold fired his ice gun to the left. Forcing Barry to run right. However the hero didn't realise it was a trap. A land mine was tripped, and some sort of gooey substance released. Pinning him to the wall. Barry struggled to break free as the thieves gathered round. Now joined by a man named Axel Walker. A man with bright blonde dressed in a blue and yellow jester outfit. And while Rory was slightly crazy, Axel was full on deranged.

"The Trickster is here. Subduing our old red devil nemesis." He paraded around the entire hall. Barry stopped struggling as he realised he couldn't escape this.

"Trickster... Glider. Make sure the guests don't move." Captain Cold commanded. The two nodded and walked towards their new task.

"So you all decided to team up I see." Barry noted.

"You can call us the rouges, Flash." Boomerang replied.

"And this?" The human lighting bolt pointed at this strange substance.

"A little present for the guest of honour. It recognises a speedsters energy signature and hardens when connected to one." Barry smiled as he heard this.

"So who are you working for then? No offence but none of you idiots are smart enough to create something like this." He queried the group of thieves. Though his answer didn't come from any of them.

"Oh how right you are Flash." A mysterious voice popped up. One which Barry would never forget. From behind a pillar, the man in yellow stepped out. Barry's face turned from laughter to anger in a matter of seconds. He desperately tried to free himself from his shackles. However nothing was working. "Don't bother Flash. This is designed to trap someone like us." The man looked over Barry, a smug look appeared all over his face. "Oh how I've waited so long for this day. The day I finally..." The man in yellow was soon cut short by a civilian exciting the toilet. He tried to turn around but was impaled by the evil speedster. Huge gasps could be heard throughout the room. Even the Rouges were shocked by this.

"You didn't need to do that!" Golden Glider yelled. The man in yellow shrugged in response.

"He was trying to get away." The villain soon turned back towards his adversary. "So I think it's time we remove that mask. Let the whole world see who you really are!"

"And how do you expect to do that? If this traps speedsters you can't get anywhere near it." Barry retorted.

"True, but then again why else did I hire a bunch of people who hate you." The two speedsters looked over at the rouges who looked down at Barry.

"Yeah it's true. We despise The Flash. You deny us our bounty... Beat us to a pulp... Send us to prison. But you want to know what we hate more than Flash over here... it's killers." The four Rouges next to Barry all pointed their weapons at the man in yellow. Who laughed hysterically in response.

"Wow. I guess honour amongst thieves truly does exist." Within the blink of an eye the evil speedster had Golden Glider in a headlock. Captain Cold almost dropped the gun in concern for his sibling. "Now, take off that mask. Or my next victim will be her." Leonard stared at the ground contemplating this decision. Until Barry spoke up.

"It's okay Leonard."

"We May not kill Flash. But others? They aren't nearly as forgiving." Captain Cold warned the heroic speedster.

"I know." As cold put both hands on the mask, Nora Allen's murderer smiled.

"Ladies and Gentleman I present to you..." suddenly cold tore the mask from Barry's face. The whole hall stared at the face hiding underneath. "Barry Allen!"

So that just happened. I hope you all have a great christmas. Or whatever religious event you celebrate.
