Hey guys so quick update. I hopefully can be able to update quicker from now. I know you guys are eager for more so here it is.

.

Barry and Oliver felt a huge weight off their shoulders as the Atom arrived. Especially Oliver, who had a huge responsibility. The female turned, checking up on her counterparts.

"Oliver, are you alright?" She asked. The Atom had a robotic synthesiser masking her voice.

"Yeah, few bruises... but I'll be ok." Oliver replied.

"Good... So are you going to introduce me to your friend over here?" She asked him. Oliver suddenly snapped back to reality.

"Oh right, this is Barry." Atom held out her hand.

"So a meta huh? What're your powers red?" Barry stood there for a moment, causing the mood to change.

"Oh... er speed." The hero of Central City responded.

"Fast with your feet but not with your mouth it seems." Atom quipped, before turning back to Oliver. "Let's get you out of here."

"What about the workers?"

"Don't worry that's already being covered." The trio turned around to see every slave rush toward them. Barry smiled for the first time since he got here. For once something was going right. Atom punched the wall, creating a big enough gap for everyone to fit through. As people started to filter through, Atom used an emp to switch off Barry's collar. The speedster chuckled as power once again flowed through his body. The electricity was too enticing.

"Stop!" The humans all turned around to spot Raditz standing in front of them. The Saiyan looking very frustrated. "Did you honestly think you'd be able to escape? I am Raditz... son of..."

"Yeah... Yeah. Heard the evil villain speech before. Why don't you guys just shut up for once." Atom verbally attacked the brother of Goku. Who seemed to get more flustered.

"Yeah... Maybe don't piss this guy off." Oliver pleaded. Barry though smirked.

"Don't worry guys. I have a plan." The hero of Central City exclaimed. Much to the surprise of his compatriots.

"Did I hear you right, Barry?

"It's risky, but it should do the trick. It's been passed down from an old english family. And now I can perform this technique too."

"Wow this must be good." Atom though had some reservations.

"An old english family?" She muttered under her breath. "Hang on, you're not talking about 'that' secret technique are you?" The heroine demanded to know. Raditz meanwhile had lost all his patience.

"No secret technique of yours could ever hope to deafest me. I am..." The Saiyan suddenly stopped his monologue. His body began to feel numb... and cold. Blood began pouring from a hole in his chest, and gargling from his mouth. Raditz took his last breath, collapsing onto the ground. Behind him stood a familiar figure... Batman. Although now his entire suit besides the cowl was grey. The bat symbol was more compressed and sat on top a giant red dot. However the biggest change was Batman's inclusion of duel pistols. One of which was smoking from the barrel.

"Dead." Batman added. His voice sounding a little deeper and more gruff than usual. Barry couldn't believe what had happened to his friend. Bruce would never use a gun, even the worst criminals didn't deserve death. Yet here he was, staring down the barrel of a pistol.

"You sure took your time?" Oliver blurted our loud.

"You're welcome." The Dark Knight strolled down with that scowling face of his. At least something was still the same about him. Slightly frightened everyone made their way out of the compound running in the other direction.

"So where'd you park?" The Atom smiled as she pushed some button on a little remote. Suddenly a huge aircraft appeared out of thin air. It was exactly like one of the ships Frieza used. The ex slaves all stared in awe as Oliver stepped forward.

"What did tell you all? Someday we'll go to the resistance's base!"

.

An hour past as Barry found himself with the civilians. The mood was much more upbeat than last night. Those looks of hopelessness were replaced by ones of triumph. The Scarlet Speedster's attention diverted to that of his step brother. While the entire room was filled with joy, Wally was the exception. His face revealed a deep scowl, it was clear that he wasn't excited to be here. Barry wanted to confront him, but thought better of it. Wally didn't know him, so it would be pointless right now. Still it hurt seeing his family in this emotional state.

So instead of wallowing in pity. Barry decided to speak with Oliver, who was currently up in the bridge. The walk up was a quiet one. No one seemed to especially want to move. After all they had been working non stop for a very long time. Coming to terms with his new world was difficult. For some reason a new reality had been created, and Barry was determined to find answers. The speedster stopped just outside. The bridge was a fairly standard sci fi, a normal looking room with a bunch of chairs staring into monitors. With one chair right in the centre. Which was where Atom was sitting. Oliver sat to her right. The male could be heard crying.

"I'm so sorry." Atom consoled the tears eyed man, who after ten seconds attempted to dry his eyes.

"Thank you." The two briefly paused as Oliver flew their ship.

"Guess our teams down to three now?"

"Three is the magic number." Atom chuckled at her friend's response.

"You know? Deep down Oli, you haven't changed one bit." Oliver smiled, but changed his expression to sadness as Atom looked away. After what Oliver been through, he had changed. Barry decided that this was the best time to make an entrance. The archer quickly dried his remaining tears as he spotted Barry enter.

"Oh... hi Barry!" The former slave now sounding more upbeat.

"Hey guys, just thought I'd check up on you. Everything good?"

"Yeah, we should reach our base in about five minutes." Oliver looked over to his colleague, before gibbing a disapproving look. "Would you take that mask off? It's rude."

"I don't need a lecture from a man in tights." Atom jokingly responded.

"I don't wear..." The archer sighed, knowing a response would get him nowhere. "Look do you really wanna be like Batman?" Atom almost took offence to that, but knew he was right. As she turned her chair around the helmet revealed her face. Barry almost fell backwards as he recognised the hero.

"Hi I'm..."

"Bulma?" The speedster yelled, surprising the two rebels. Barry though was the most shocked out of them. Bulma Briefs, the scientist with a short temper. Was wearing a super suit fighting bad guys.

"Huh, guess my reputation proceeds me. You were a fan of my father and his company?"

"You could say that."

"Well just don't fanboy out too much." Barry needed to sit down, every second in this new reality made things ten times weirder.

"So then... Barry. Tell us about yourself?" The hero of Central City, didn't know what to say. After all just yesterday he was a CSI. In this reality though, it had been fifteen years since the Saiyan's invaded. Iris always said he was a terrible liar. So he needed to be careful with his words.

"Not really much to say. I was just an average dude who got struck by lightning. Oh and I eat a lot." The other two chuckled at his response.

"God yeah. Haven't had a decent meal in a very long time. Anybody remember the taste of Ice cream?" Oliver asked.

"Always loved the taste of banana." Bulma quickly said.

"I'm more of a cookie dough guy myself." Barry imputed.

"You're both wrong. The best flavour is obviously mint choc chip." Oliver argued."

"Saying mint is the best ice cream flavour is like saying Brussel sprouts are the best vegetable." Bulma's loudly said.

"What's wrong with Brussel sprouts?" Bulma facepalmed at her colleague's words.

"You're a lost cause, you know that?"

"Been saying that for years." A new voice entered, scaring the others. Calming down once they realised it was Batman.

"You have got to stop doing that." Oliver demanded. The dark knight ignored him however.

"How long until we arrive?"

"Now!" Bulma answered, smiling to herself. "Buckle in boys, we're about to make our landing." Barry stared out of the window. The room began to shake as they descended. The ship landed somewhere in the Nevada desert. The sun started to dim slightly. Though the temperature was still insanely high. The hero of Gotham city rapidly took command, contacting the base.

"Ally base this is..." Batman paused, looking very embarrassed. "I'm not saying it." Oliver looked over in frustration.

"You have to say it." Bulma argued.

"I'm not saying it." Batman firmly stood his ground.

"Look do you want tell the general why we broke protocol and landed without informing control?" The blue haired woman smirked, knowing she won the argument. The Caped Crusader sighed as he once again picked up the microphone.

"Ally control... This is the Starship Enterprise requesting permission to land."

"Copy Starship Enterprise, welcome home. The general wanted to meet you and this new meta in person. So sit tight cause she's coming to you." A voice replied over the radio. Batman though showed the others his usual scowl.

"I hate you both." He whispered before heading out. Barry decided to head after him. Once the door slammed behind him, an explanation was needed.

"Wait." Barry called out to his colleague. Who looked back in annoyance. Batman had better things to do with his time than talk to some guy.

"Make this quick." Batman bluntly responded.

"I need some answers. One minute everything is normal. The next thing I know, the world is in ruins, Saiyan's have invaded and old foes are now alive." Batman though stared at the young man in confusion.

"Think that lightning fried your brain."

"Bruce, you have to listen to me. Everything about the world is wrong and I..." The speedster couldn't finish his sentence as his friend lifted him up by the throat. The once cool as ice demeanour was replaced by a scorching fire of anger. All Barry could see were pure hatred.

"How do you know that name?"

"Bruce it's me. Barry Allen? Come on, try to remember."

"Bruce is dead! I watched as some punk gunned him down!" Barry eyes stared deeply into Batman's eyes. He couldn't believe what was being said. Bruce was dead? But if his friend was dead, who was the man parading in his suit. Suddenly though it hit him. If Bruce was shot, then it was before the Saiyan's arrived. That meant the night in crime alley happened. Only Bruce didn't survive.

"You... You were there that night. You survived instead of Bruce. You're Thomas Wayne!" As he heard his own name, the Dark Knight grunted. This kid had the audacity to remind him of that hellish night. Something like that wouldn't go unpunished. Thomas threw Barry into the other side of the corridor. The speedster landed awkwardly on his left leg. Instantly knowing something was broken he yelled out in pain. Bulma and Oliver rushed outside to see what the commotion was. The former held back Batman. While the latter helped Barry onto his feet.

"Woah. Calm down will you!" The Atom demanded. After a slight struggle the former billionaire stopped his attempted attack. "Geez, when I said you need to show more emotions, this wasn't what I had in mind." Thomas though wasn't interested in her jokes.

"You stay away from me!" He yelled at the hero of Central City.

"What's going on here?" A new female voice called out. The three main resistance fighters all turned their heads.

"Ah General. We're just having a little disagreement." Oliver quipped.

"Good to see you too Queen. However that doesn't exactly answer my question. What is..." The general's eyes lit up as she saw Barry. Tears started to fall down her face. "Barry?" The speedster looked up at this mysterious woman and instantly knew who she was. Tears started to fill his eyes too. This someone was special to him. Someone he hadn't seen since he was eight years old.

"Mum?"

.

So honestly i did consider making the breakout a bit longer. However I felt it would be better spent trying to give these new charcaters distinct peesonalitys. At least thats what i was aiming for.

I want to be honest with you guys. The Atom was actually meant to be in the main timeline. Remember Bulma mass producing scouters? Well originally i had Deadshot steal one and use it to becaome the worlds greatest assassin. Bulma knowing it was her fault would weaponise her old shrinking tech and become the Atom. deadshot would constntly kick her ass in combat. so she would have to use her intellect to beat him. eventually hanging up the suit, knowing she didn't need powers to save the world.

This was cut because it didnt tie into the other arcs and i felt that even though it gave Bulma development. It didnt feel like something Bulma would do. Anyway im rambling so i'll leave you.

See you all next time.
