Hello everyone. Wow i do apologise about the fact that there were no chapters in April. Time just seem to move quickly and i didn't have much time to write. However this chapter is slightly longer than the others so i hope you enjoy.

.

The ship's hallway had turned from a place of violence and anger. Into one of happiness and kinship. After everything he had lost over the last two days. He finally regained one of If not the most important person in his life. Barry felt the tears stream down, faster than any river could flow. Nora Allen meanwhile seemed just as shocked as he was. The two rushed towards each other and hugged, something Barry hadn't done to his mother since he was a child.

"I thought you were dead!" They both almost yelled out. The two chuckled at their coincidence. Bulma and Oliver smiled, watching the parent and child reunite. Thomas however scowled, still upset by his previous altercation with Barry.

"I don't understand. How are you even here?" Nora asked her son. Who rubbed the back of his head. Unsure if his next words were the right move.

"Well it's a long story." Barry replied.

"Let's go to my office then."

.

The resistance base was pretty much what Barry expected it to be like. It was an underground base with very few luxuries. The walls were simply rock that hadn't been dug away. There was a main hall with hundreds of beds scattered throughout the room. Ironically it reminded him of the concentration camp they had just escaped from. The next room had a standard kitchen, filled with long lasting food items. Down a level stood the war room, a place where Nora would plan ahead. As they walked towards Nora's office Barry noticed a tiny model bomb on the desk. As he went to pick it up however, Bulma quickly grabbed his hand.

"Don't touch that!" She yelled out. Freaking out the Scarlet Speedster. "That's a 50 quadrillion megaton bomb." Barry screamed, instantly stepping back.

"Why would you place a nuke in the middle of your war room?" Barry demanded an answer.

"I designed it so even though its powerful, it's range is very short. It's so that if we ever get caught... We can still take a few out."

"What idiot thought that was a good idea?"

"I did." Batman stated. Barry shivered as he felt the cold stare of the Dark Knight.

"And it is a wonderful plan." Barry replied. The Caped Crusader scoffed, walking towards their destination. "Now I know where Bruce gets it from." Both he and Bulma made their way into the office, where Nora shut the door. The general sat down, looking at her sons and three best soldiers.

"Ten years ago I watched my son get shot by a lone survivor trying to scrounge up some food. However a mother always knows when she's looking at her child. And you are my son, so the question is... How are you here?" Nora said. The room looked to Barry, who realised it was definitely time to tell the truth.

"Well, it's a long story." Barry responded. However he soldiered on, explaining everything. From Thawne killing his mother, to the speed force, right up until him getting caught.

"So you come from a world, where everything's peaceful?" Oliver questioned him.

"It's not perfect by any means, but it's better than this."

"I don't buy it." Thomas muttered, still skeptical about Barry's story. "You say the world suddenly changed overnight. But the Saiyan's invaded fifteen years ago. How do you explain that?"

"That's the million dollar question. I don't know who or what has caused this. If I was a betting man, I'd say something like an alternate dimension." Almost on que, the radio in Nora's pocket started going off. The general picked it up and answered.

"Scouting team A, this is General Allen what's your status?" Nora asked, though she wasn't expecting who was on the other end.

"Sorry, but this isn't your scouting team." A cold voice appeared, over the radio. Barry gritted his teeth, instantly recognising it. "Don't worry, I haven't done anything to your men. I just borrowed their radio."

"Who is this?"

"Why don't you ask your son, general?" Nora frightfully stared at her son, who ripped the radio from her hands. His anger started to boil over.

"Thawne!" He grunted.

"In the flesh." The evil speedster replied. "I wanted to speak to you Barry. How are you doing? You enjoying this new timeline?" Barry's heart increased as he finally put all the pieces together. This wasn't an alternate reality... This was his. "You know, I always believed that fate chose wrong. God created you to be a hero. Someone people looked up to. And I was flung into the pits of villainy. Destined to become your nemesis. Well look at us now Barry! Fate has finally chosen me to be the hero."

"You'll never be a hero Thawne! Sooner or later I will find you. And this little game you've concocted, will end." The man in yellow chuckled.

"Oh I look forward to it." After that, the line went dead. Barry cursed, slamming his fist onto the table. "Damn you Thawne."

"Look on the brightside. All we need to do is find this Eobard and have him fix the timeline." Oliver spoke up.

"That's not quite so straightforward." Nora inserted her opinion. "We have absolutely no idea where he currently is. And in case you all have forgotten, we have our own war to win." Nora pushed a button on her desk. Within three seconds a hologram appeared. Staring the heroes in the face was an old building. "Our scouts have tracked the Saiyan headquarters to this building just outside D.C. They say their leader seems to be held up inside."

"Any intel on who he is?" Batman asked.

"Only a name. Saiyan footsoldiers call him 'The Prince'." Barry froze having listened in. He didn't consider this a possibility, but it made sense.

"Vegeta." Barry whispered. The whole room turned to him.

"Sorry?" Bulma replied.

"Vegeta, that's his name. In my timeline he and I were... kind of allies. If he's in charge then this will be tough."

"I find it difficult to believe there are any good Saiyan's." Oliver inputted.

"Well Vegeta isn't exactly a good person, but he's gotten better with time. Then there's Goku. He was one of the kindest people I've ever met. Though that's probably because he was a little bit naive. Didn't even meet a girl till he was ten. God the things he told me." Barry chuckled to himself, reminiscing about old times.

"Boy, I'd sure hate to be the first girl he met." Bulma joked. Almost causing Barry to laugh hysterically.

"Can we please focus?" Nora ordered the two, who instantly shut their mouths. "Until we gain more information attacking the Prince isn't an option. However there is something else you all can do for me." Once again the general opened up a hologram. This time showing an old factory. "Our scouts have found the Saiyan's communications building. It's located two hundred miles east of our current position. I need you four to sneak in and hack into their communications."

"It would make it easier to avoid them." Thomas inserted his thoughts. "I assume you have a plan?"

"Yes, you'll split into three teams. Batman and Green Arrow will be the distraction. Both of you will attack a substation located one mile to the west. Once that's been accomplished, Atom will infiltrate the main building and complete the objective. Barry, you'll be backup. Anything moves outside, you get in, extract Atom, then leave." In truth Barry didn't like this. The more time he spent not looking for Thawne. The less of a chance he had of fixing whatever his nemesis had changed. However he also knew that this was a better option than waiting for Thawne to come to him.

"Alright, you got it." Barry reluctantly agreed. He could see the smile from his mother's face.

"Excellent." She replied. "The land is quite vast, so I'd suggest taking someone with you. Just make sure they're quick on their feet." Barry smiled as he heard that.

"Don't worry I know just the person."

.

"No!" A disgruntled Wally answered Barry's request. The pair were in the main hall where the sleeping accommodations were. "I'm not interested in this silly little revolution of yours."

"The Saiyan's win, then we'll all die." Barry replied.

"I've survived on my own for a long time. I don't need you guys!"

"Oh really? Because if I remember correctly, weren't you in chains when we met?" The ginger haired teenager stubbornly huffed, knowing Barry had a point.

"Why are you asking me anyway? Of all the people you could have chosen to help. You come to a sixteen year old boy who doesn't even wanna be here." Wally just couldn't see the logic behind this man's decision.

"Let's just say I know you have a particular set of skills. Skills which could be very useful for this mission." Wally eyes widened as he heard what the speedster had just said. How did he know? "If you complete this mission and hear what I have to say. I won't stop you from walking away." Wally thought for a moment, though he struggled to think. Barry knew his secret, if the resistance found out then he definitely couldn't leave. In the end, what was one simple mission?

"All right, I'll do this one mission. Then I'm out." Barry smiled as he hugged his adopted brother. Soon letting go when he realised it wasn't the same Wally.

"Sorry. We leave at eight o'clock tomorrow morning. Make sure you're there." Wally sighed as he got into bed. He couldn't stop thinking about Barry. How long would this man keep pushing him to help them. And yet he actually started to admire Barry's tenacity.

"Jesus, what is that guy doing to me?"

.

The next day Barry and Wally were in their positions looking over the base at a nearby cliff. Of course the others objected to this. However after some convincing they all came around. Except for Batman who still held a lot of contempt against Barry. The speedster didn't seem to care though, the only thing he was focusing on right now was the mission. The two stared out onto the horizon waiting for Oliver's call.

"So how did you know?" Wally asked the Scarlet Speedster. The two continued to look out through binoculars over the horizon.

"I thought we were going to wait until the job was finished?" Barry replied.

"Oh no, we are doing this now! I'm not waiting for your friends to show up. They'll force me to fight in their pointless war. No... I want to know how you figured out my secret?"

"During my time as the Flash, whenever I was in trouble there was always a slight spark of lightning within my eyes. I always saw it during one of my many fights with mirror master. It's small, almost invisible, but easy to spot if you know what you're looking for. I saw it within myself. I saw it within my nemesis, the Reverse Flash. And now I see it within you too." Wally looked down at his hand. Which started to emit the same yellow lightning Barry's did. "So how long have you had the speed force for?"

"Speed force? Is that what you call it? Almost six years now. One night me, my father and sister were hurled up in some old abandoned mansion. I went outside for some fresh air, and this huge lightning bolt just hit me. I was out for three days. And when I eventually woke I'd been cursed with these abilities." Barry was shocked that his adopted brother thought of these powers as a curse.

"Wally these powers aren't a curse, they're a gift."

"Yeah, for the longest time I agreed with that statement. Until two years ago. I started to become a nuisance to the Saiyan's. So they sent an agent to hunt me down. Only he didn't find me, but my family." Barry's heart skipped a beat. He finally realised what had happened to Joe and Iris. "I found him standing over their corpses. Only he beat them so hard I almost didn't recognise them." Barry shed a tear hearing about his family's fate. "Tell me have you ever watched your family die? Then have to live with the fact that it was all your fault?" Barry didn't answer that question. Even though he knew the answer.

"I'm sorry."

"You know the true irony about all this though? I'm the fastest man alive, yet I never seem to be fast enough." The two didn't say anything towards the other for a while. Wally's confession had made him think long and hard about his past. Barry had convinced himself that Is was all Thawne's fault. He killed his mother and framed his father. And yet in the back of his mind, Barry couldn't help but think it was his fault. Thawne only came after him because he would eventually ruin the man in yellow's life.

Soon though neither could focus. The two speedsters spotted at least three dozen enemy soldiers exit the building. The Saiyan's we're leaving like they had planned, yet Oliver hadn't informed them yet. Barry checked his radio, making sure it wasn't broken. The device was in perfect condition.

"Flash to Green Arrow. Have you reached the objective yet?" Barry asked.

"That's a negative Flash, we're still two minutes out." Oliver responded. Something about this seemed wrong. Though it wasn't long before they understood why.

"We've got an enemy ship incoming." Wally pointed out. Barry looked through his binoculars as a large spaceship approached.

"Atom the enemy is being distracted by a new arrival. Now is probably your only chance." Barry informed her.

"Copy that, I'm just outside the control room. Expected finish around three minutes." Atom whispered over the radio. The ship's engine blasted wind from all sides. The two speedsters could even feel it from up on their mountain. The Saiyan's all knelt on one knee either side of the ship. Creating a pathway towards the door. Barry heart sped up as the ship door opened.

"Looks like our prince has finally decided to..." The speedster couldn't finish as he noticed who stepped out of the ship. He heart skipped a beat. His hands clenched up. Out of all the people he thought would step out, he was the last. The soldiers all looked up at their prince, chanting.

"All hail Prince Kakarot! All hail Prince Kakarot! All hail Prince Kakarot!"
