Hi everyone. So an explanation. I was going to do this in two chapters, however after I got to a point that would have been a good cut off point then I couldn't justify a second chapter. So here is an extra large chapter. It might end up being the largest chapter i have ever done. Anyway I hope you enjoy the end of flashpoint. And without futher ado. let us begin.
.
"I'm going to kill that fool!" Bulma screamed as Bardock chased after the Scarlet Speedster. Batman was silent as he was absolutely gobsmacked. Oliver meanwhile snapped out of his trance.
"Um... I believe we have bigger problems right now." Oliver informed his comrades. The two looked around to see dozens of Saiyan's led by Nappa. They all took fighting positions. However since Bulma's suit was broken, she was handed one of Thomas guns.
"Men, capture the rebels!" Nappa ordered his men.
"Wait!" Goku shouted. The entire battlefield stopped in their tracks. The prince flew towards where Nappa stood. "Kill them." The Saiyan guards all seemed to stand still. The heroes meanwhile were now extremely frightened. With the exception of Batman who glared at Goku. Oliver meanwhile took this opportunity to set up his trick arrows for a fight.
"But sir, our orders are to take the humans alive." Nappa argued.
"That idea is foolish Nappa." The prince landed next his subordinate. "I once believed that we could subjugate the human race. Now I see that as long as humanity cling to their petty ideal of hope. There will always be those who stand against us. So we will destroy this rebellion, right down to its final member. So then, when the last slither of hope has been extinguished. Those slaves will never question our authority again." The heroes all took a step back, fear starting to affect them all. Oliver though gritted his teeth, hoping his plan was going to work.
"On my signal close your eyes." The archer whispered to his teammates. Who nodded back to him. As the number of guards aiming at them increased. The less chance they'd have of escaping alive. Goku started to stroll towards them.
"I would say this wasn't personal. But I'd be lying..." Goku was cut off by the sight of an arrow launching into the sky.
"Now!" The heroes all covered their eyes as a blazing light appeared from Oliver's arrow. Blinding Goku and the entire Saiyan royal guard. As the Saiyan's all scrambled around the three rebels hid behind an old car. "That flashbang will only last a few minutes.
"Then we need to get out of here right now! Where's the ship?" Bulma questioned the two.
"Far enough that we won't make it back before the effects wear off." Thomas informed her. Causing Bulma to look down in distress.
"That means..."
"This is most likely our last battle." For a few seconds nobody said anything, until Oliver broke the ice.
"Well if we are gonna die. Let's take out as many Saiyan trash as we can." The archer joked. The other two nodded as they ran from cover, and charged.
.
Barry came onto his knees, not taking his eye off of his nemesis. All this pain. All this suffering. And now, Eobard was taunting him. This feud between them was going to end today.
"Thawne." The speedster growled that one name. His voice colder than a snowy night. The evil speedster meanwhile stared at the burning wreckage. That was the last straw as Barry charged at his foe. "This is all your fault!" The two speedsters clashes fist sending a large shockwave. This clash actually put out the fire. Thawne smirked as he ran off. Barry followed him at high speeds. Every so often Barry would attempt to land a hit on Thawne. But every time the evil speedster would dodge.
"When I heard the Saiyan King was coming I knew you'd confront him." Thawne taunted, sounding so full of himself. This time Thawne was the one who threw his fist. And this time it sent Barry flying into the ground. "You never could say no to playing hero, could you?" The hero of Central city got up and once again attacked his nemesis. Who continued his game of cat and mouse. This went on for a bit until Barry realised where they were headed. The two ended up on a rooftop looking over where Barry started his fight with Bardock.
Adrenaline rushed through the CSI's body. The two once again clashed fists, both throwing everything they had into their battle. However the longer it went on, the more Barry realised he was losing. Thawne was landing most of his punches, while Barry wasn't. Then he realised why. Thawne waited till after his battle with Bardock to make an appearance. His previous fight had weakened him. Leaving the hero in a rough spot. Eventually Eobard managed to land a mighty right hook knocking his opponent down. After which he took a metal pipe and stabbed Barry's right leg. The speedster screamed in agony as he pulled it out quickly. However the damage had been done. Barry stumbles as he tried to regain his bearings. However he didn't get the chance as a kick to his stomach sent him hurtling away. He would have fallen off the roof, if not from a last minute save from his foe. Thawne smirked as the two looked over at the firefight.
"What did you do to the world?" Barry asked, the pain making his voice muffled. Thawne chuckled at that question.
"Oh Barry, that's the beauty of all this. I didn't do damn thing." Thawne explained as he once again kicked Barry in the stomach. Before lifting him up just enough to whisper in his ear. "You did." The man in yellow dropped a confused Barry. "It seems you've forgotten your sins. No matter, your mind is like a car battery. All it needs is a jump start. I should warn you, this will hurt. Lucky me." Electricity crackled around Thawnes right hand, placing on Barry's head. The CSI screamed in agony as memories started coming back to him. "Now Barry, it's time to confess your sins." Barry started to cry as he recalled what had previously transpired. "What did you do?"
"I... saved her. I saved mum."
"Yes." Denial started to form in Barry's head.
"No. No it wouldn't have changed everything that happened before. The Saiyan's... planet Vegeta... Bruce's parents."
"Oh but it did. Break the sound barrier and you get a sonic boom. You broke the time barrier, Flash. Time boom. Ripples of distortion radiated out from that point of impact. Changing everything just a tiny bit, but enough. Enough for events to happen slightly differently." After that last sentence Barry lost his will to fight. He was responsible for this. He started this war. He ruined everyone's lives. Everything was because of his selfish desires.
"I just wanted to save her."
"How noble. Wait a minute. You didn't stop JFK from being assassinated, or made sure Hitler stayed in art school. You saved your mummy. You missed her. And in a extreme act of selfishness, shattered history like a rank amateur. Turned the world into a living hell moments away from destruction. And I'm the villain?"
.
On the battlefield all three rebels continued in their fire fight. Oliver was firing off his stun arrows. While Bulma and Thomas were shooting them. While at least twenty percent of the enemy had been eradicated. They all knew that wasn't enough. And time was running out. Thomas stuck behind cover as a Ki blast just missed him. With everyone blinded, the Saiyan's had begun to shoot randomly ahead. Bulma and Oliver were huddled together as they continued on.
Meanwhile Goku grunted as he could sense his forces slowly being depleted. He opened his eyes, and while the pain was certainly high. He could just about see out of them. The prince gathered his Ki. His right hand containing all that power. Aiming it right at the shrinking heroine. As Oliver let an arrow loose he noticed his enemy's attack. Without thinking he rushed towards his comrade. Pushing her out the way.
"Tyrant Lancer!" A huge ray of light hurtled past Bulma at incredible speed. The heiress's body felt heavy as she pushed herself up. Her eyes had to adjust due to the bright light. And when the dust settled, Bulma's whole world shook. Oliver lay next to her, with a huge hole in his chest.
"Oliver!" She screamed in despair. Thomas looked over for a second, freezing in place. Until a Ki blast narrowly missed, waking him up. Bulma scrambled over to his body applying pressure his wound. Oliver though put his hand on Bulma's wrist.
"It's alright. We all knew this was going to be a one way trip." The archer weakly whispered. Bulma started to cry as her comrade coughed up some blood. "At least now I get to see Dinah again." The man in green smiled, accepting his fate. "Listen I never was a religious man. But if there is a heaven... meet me at the bar. I think we all deserve a drink." And with that final message, Oliver Queen took his last breath. His hand fell to the ground. His eyes became blank. The Emerald Archer was no more.
.
Barry's stared down below, having just witnessed Oliver's death. The tears rolled down his face. Oliver had trusted him, and now he was gone. Barry attempted to help the remaining pair. However the Reverse Flash kept kicking him in the stomach. After three dozen brutal hits, the barrage had stopped.
"Good job Barry, all your friends are about to die. I just wished your mother could have seen it." Thawne taunted the hero.
"You can't do this. You'll die too." Barry pleaded with his nemesis. Thawne meanwhile laughed.
"You see that's where you're wrong. You've changed everything Flash. Since you've changed history. You've broken the cycle. I'm a living, breathing paradox. In other words... I'm free. Once your friends have bit the dust, I'll kill the remaining Saiyan's. I'll be the hero who saved this world. When children read up on this day, they will know the name Eobard Th..." The evil speedster suddenly stopped as a gunshot rang out. Thawne and Barry looked at the formers chest. Noticing a gunshot wound. Then a second bullet fired, this time blasting into his skull. Thawne's body became lifeless, crashing onto the floor. The Scarlet Speedster looked towards the shooter. Shock took over as he realised the shooter... was his mother. Nora Allen stood defiantly with her pistol smoking.
"Get away from my son." She spat out, both figuratively and literally. Barry finally managed to get to his feet, as parent and child embraced in a hug. "I'm so glad your alright."
"Mum... how are you even here?" Barry asked, receiving his answer in a millisecond. The hero of Central city noticed a familiar face. A boy with ginger hair who had access to the speedforce. "Wally, you came!" The CSI started smiling to the teenager.
"Yeah. Listen Barry, you were right all along. I was making excuses not to help. I was so focused on staying alive, that I forgot to live." The younger speedster explained.
"It's alright. You're here now, and that's what matters." The two nodded to each other as Wally ran to help Thomas and Bulma. Barry's smile disappeared as he turned to his mother. "How much of the did you hear?"
"Everything." Nora admitted, her sympathy showing.
"Then you know how badly I screwed things up." The speedster said almost in distress.
"Yeah you did. But it's not too late to save the day." Barry turned to his mother, his eyes wide open.
"Mum I can't... you'll die."
"And how many people have died because of this Barry?" The hero tried to respond, although he decided not to. He didn't want to admit to himself how many lives his selfish decision cost.
"There has to be a way I can fix this without sacrificing you." Nora smiled as she once again embraced her son.
"My little Einstein. Always trying to help others. But you can't change the past. You have to let me go." Barry's eyes once again started to fill with tears.
"I don't want to."
"I know, but deep down you know it's the right thing to do." Barry let go of his mother. Drawing as much of the speed force into him as he could. Lightning crackled as Barry took one last look at his mother.
"I love you."
"I love you too. Now run Barry... run." The speedster roared into life. Passing by the battlefield. Metres became miles. States passed before Barry once again broke the time barrier. The time stream was like a long dark blue tunnel. With faded blue lightning bolts surrounding it. The hero continued onwards, pushing the pain to one side. Until Barry found himself running behind the last person he expected... himself. Or at least himself before the events that had led to this event.
"Barry stop! You'll kill everyone!" The present Barry yelled. His doppelgänger looked behind in confusion.
"What the hell?" The past Barry replied.
"You can't do this!"
"I have to... I have to save her!"
"I know what you're feeling. And I'm sorry. God, I'm so sorry. But I can't allow you to do this!" The present Barry caught and placed his hand on his doppelgängers arm.
"What are you doing? I have to save her!"
"And I have to save the world." And with those final words Barry tackled himself to the ground. The two had tears in their eyes as a bright light engulfed them both.
.
Barry woke up screaming. Until he noticed that he was in his bed. Everything was here. His phone, wallet and clothes. Suddenly the door opened and in stepped Iris.
"Barry are you okay?" She swiftly asked him, sounding very concerned. The speedster heart suddenly started to beat twice as quickly. Iris was alive. He smiled, got up and hugged her. The reporter stayed very still during all this. "Barry you look like you've seen a ghost. Are you sure you're fine?" The speedster soon realised he was acting strangely. At least from his adopted sisters point of view.
"Yeah, it's just been a while." The Scarlet Speedster replied.
"Barry we saw each other yesterday. Don't you remember the party?" All of a sudden Barry remembered. His identity got revealed. He had to get everyone out. Their lives were in danger. "We went to the Flash museum. Those criminals came so the Flash stopped them." Almost immediately the speedster froze. What was she talking about? That only happened after his face was revealed, and the other leaguers showed up.
"Yeah... of course. I'm just a little tired."
"Well dad's making some pancakes. Come down when you're ready." Once Iris closed the door Barry quickly put on some clothes and headed downstairs. There he found not only Iris, but Joe and a much happier looking Wally. Barry wanted to cry with happiness. But kept it in knowing questions would be raised. His gaze soon turned to a news report.
"Reminder of our top story. The grand opening of Central City's 'Flash' museum was attacked by a group calling themselves 'The Rouges'. Luckily Central City's own guardian angel the Flash was on the scene. Central city once again thanks this brave man's work." Barry felt a sigh of relief knowing his identity was a secret again. Though he still kept wondering how all this was possible. Until he remembered what Thawne said. Breaking the time barrier can result in time ripples. Small changes that can cause events to happen differently. Still with Thawne gone, he no longer could obtain evidence to release his father. Barry had to see him, so he grabbed a jacket and went towards the door.
"Hey Barry, where are you going?" Wally asked him while having a mouth full of pancakes.
"Oh I'm going to visit my dad." Within a second the three West's stopped in their tracks. All of them staring at Barry with shocked looks on their faces. Barry looked at them back in confusion. "What?"
"Barry... you... You haven't seen your father in fifteen years." This time it was Barry in shock. Fifteen years? This must have been another change in the timeline. "Listen Barry, there's something I think you should know. Three days ago there was a riot at Iron Heights penitentiary. Your father was one of those who was killed in the brawl." Barry's heart sank. His breathing rapidly increased. He almost fell over in despair. His father was dead. And he was to blame.
.
Batman fully appreciated the peace and quiet. It was one of the reasons he secluded himself in a cave. It meant that work could get done. Work that could save a lot of lives. So when someone like Barry Allen storms in uninvited, it usually doesn't end well.
"It is Bruce I'm speaking to right?" Barry asked his friend. Who sighed as he turned to his fellow hero.
"Yes!" He snakily responded. "Listen Barry I'm rather busy right now. Can you please..." Bruce couldn't finish after witnessing Flash in floods of tears.
"I screwed up Bruce... I screwed up so badly." Barry then explained everything that happened in the last few days. From Thawne to his Father's death. Bruce sat there in bewilderment.
"That's quite a story, Flash." Bruce noticed the state Barry was in right now. "Listen Barry, I know what you're going through right now. Crime took my family too."
"But you weren't the murderer Bruce... I was. I killed both my parents."
"Barry you made a choice to try and save someone's life. No matter how you look at it, that's a selfless act."
"But it was the wrong call."
"Maybe, but you couldn't have known that at the time. You made a bad call, and some people got hurt. Remember when Bane broke my back? I was ready to give up. But do you know what Alfred told me? There will be times when you hit rock bottom. When you believe you're fighting the entire world and losing. But heroes never stay down... we rise." Barry felt somewhat better. Though still not in a great place. "Besides we'll need you to face the androids. Can't afford to lose two of our heavy hitters." Barry stared at Bruce in bewilderment.
"What do you mean?"
"Well since Clark stopped letting Kara be a hero."
"When did he do that?"
"After finding out she killed her friend on Frieza's ship. He wanted her to have a normal childhood."
"Hang on I thought he understood why she..." All of a sudden it hit him. He broke the time barrier a second time. Meaning history was slightly different than before. "Another change in history. Oh god."
"Barry?"
"Listen Bruce I need some time." Just before he left though, the speedster handed his friend a letter. Who recognised the handwriting.
"This is my father's writing!" A tear fell down the Dark Knight's cheek. "You are one hell of a messenger. As Barry ran out of the cave. Bruce smiled, reading the letter from his father.

Dear Bruce
If you are reading this then Flash was successful in changing the timeline. When I lost you that night in crime alley. I never got to say goodbye to you. So to do this now, is a miracle. Before all this, when I ran Wayne Enterprises. I always said I'd give up all the money, cars and suits. Just so you could be happy. As a father I should tell you to give up being Batman. To live a normal life and be happy. But if you are anything like me, then being Batman does make you happy. So I will leave you with just two pieces of advice.
1: Be careful who you trust. Some people will betray you, I learnt that the hard way. But always remember...
2: Some people deserve to be trusted. Don't make the same mistakes I did. Don't live your life alone. You have friends.
Remember... I have always loved you my son. From now and forever.
Your Father
Thomas

I would love to hear what you all thought about not just this chapter but the whole arc. Flashpoint is one of my favourite DC stories. So Im praying that i managed to do it some justice. Anyway two more chapters before the arc you've all been waiting for. That's right androids are coming. And with two people messing with the timeline. How will this all change? stay tuned.
Reviews:
Dark Flacon: Yes Im glad i managed to surprise someone. When planning this arc I couldn't think of a realistic way of Barry beating Bardock. Then I watched Jojo and i knew that was perfect.
X3runner:
1: JoJo poses? I think you've just given me a great idea. (Though don't expect it in the next chapter).
2: Joseph best Jojo imo.
3: I went with Nora in the end.
A: Thomas doesn't play as big a role in my version as he does in the comic.
B: I felt it would be ironic if the person Thawne killed ended up murdering him.
Corondomontes: Thanks
Guest: Yes. Yes it was.
