Hi there. Since I last updated it became clearer I wasn't the only one not doing the buu saga. TFS have officialy ended DBZ abridged. While I am disappointed, i'd rather see it ended than get a sub par product.

RIP DBZ abridged.

"We are here." Sixteen's voice called out, waking the siblings. Eighteen, who sat in the passenger's seat, slowly opened her eyes. Seventeen sat in the back, had awoken as well. The sun's rays blasted through their van's glass windshield. The two yawned, before realising where they were. Goku's house was right in front of them.

"We're you driving?" Eighteen asked the ginger android.

"That is correct. I studied Seventeen whilst he drove." The other two smiled at each other.

"Well you sure are special." Seventeen complemented. Though Sixteen simply sat there. "This is the part where you say thank you."

"Thank... you?" Seventeen's words had confused the robot.

"When someone says or does something kind, we say thank you. It's to show our appreciation for their generosity." Eighteen explained.

"Very well... Thank you."

"No problem." Seventeen replied, yawing to himself. "Damn timezones really messing with me." Seventeen scanned the area for any signs of life. "Looks empty from here. I'll take a look inside." The black haired man calmly stepped out of the van. Skipping his way into Goku's house. Meanwhile in the van Eighteen lay back. She noticed a squirrel eating an acorn on the side. Creating a tiny ball of Ki from her fingertips, Eighteen aimed it at the squirrel. Before she could fire though, Sixteen spoke up.

"You do not need to go down this path." He said. Eighteen quickly glanced back. Before noticing that the squirrel had quickly rushed off. "You gain nothing from killing Roman Sionis."

"Aren't you the one on a mission to kill Goku? That's a little hypocritical of you to say." She argued.

"It is part of my programming. I was created to kill Son Goku. You however have free will. You do not need to kill anyone."

"Well maybe I just want to." Sixteen though wasn't convinced.

"Your lack of eye contact and increased heart rate, suggests otherwise." Eighteen was taken aback. Was Sixteen correct? Did she truly care about her humanity? About others?

"Sounds like you feel pity for other people's suffering. That's what we call compassion Sixteen. A very human emotion." Sixteen though deflected this.

"I am an android created by Dr Gero. My programming is unable to exhibit any human emotion." At this point the two noticed Seventeen walk out the building. They both exited the van to join him.

"Seems that no one is home. And no clues as to where they might be." Seventeen explained. "Though if I were a gambler, I'd say they were holding up at Kame House."

"Fantastic." Eighteen replied, a smile appearing across her face.

"What are you so happy about?"

"Well Kame house is located on an island, right? Meaning we'll have to fly there." Seventeen scowled as he realised his sister was right. "Now let's finally get this show on the road." The three androids lifted themselves in the air and set off for Kame House. Eighteen though couldn't get Sixteen's words out of her head. Every second that passed, more doubts creeped into her mind. "Damn. I'm going soft."

Many months had passed inside the chamber. Trunks panted as he blocked one of his fathers punches. He attempted a strike himself, to no luck. Vegeta had easily dodged it. Both father and son kept up their insane number of attacks. After a few seconds of relentless punches, Vegeta got the upper hand. Knocking Trunks onto the cold floor. The time traveller sluggishly wiped blood off his lips. The training had been long and arduous. The two had barely gotten any sleep since they entered. Vegeta would continue on, until his body collapsed. Trunks though, was finished for the day. As the swordsman walked away, his father scowled.

"You have royal Saiyan blood running through your veins!" Vegeta lectured. "You should be willing to train until every bone in your body has shattered."

"I also have something called common sense!" Trunks retorted, earning a growl of displeasure from his father. "You realise the others might have managed to destroy the androids? Meaning that pushing yourself this hard would be kind of pointless? Don't get me wrong I don't believe they will. But it's still a possibility."

"And that is your mistake! Having any sort of faith in those fools. Others will just let you down." The half Saiyan snarled and walked away, making his way to the bathroom. Here is where he noticed his hair. Not only was it now much longer, but the colour had changed back to black.

"Damn, gonna have to buy some hair dye when I get back."

"All Saiyan's are born with black hair. You should be proud of that!"

"I'll stick with blue thanks." The sarcasm on full display.

"Why would you dye your hair anyway?"

"To honour my dead mother." Vegeta looked over in confusion.

"What are you talking about?"

"I know you don't really care about others. But you surely must have noticed Bulma Briefs blue hair?" It took Vegeta a few seconds, but eventually he figured it out. And when he did, the prince laughed. The howls echoed through out the room. Trunks glared at him.

"What's so funny?" His voice filled with much spite.

"You. You actually think Bulma's your mother?" Trunks looked at him in disbelief.

"What are you talking about?"

"Do you need me to spell it out for you? Bulma Briefs isn't your mother!" Trunks felt numb. What his father just said, hurt more than any punch he threw. The swordsman ran over to confront him.

"You're... You're lying." Vegeta didn't let up his smirk at all.

"I'm many things boy, a liar isn't one of them." Trunks fell to his knees. Unable to comprehend what he had just heard.

"Who... Who's my real mother then?"

"Diana... It's a pity she isn't around anymore." Trunks wanted to hit his father for that condescending tone. But he had more pressing matters to attend to. He was about to speak up, but Vegeta cut him off. "Your mother left this world to live with the Olympians. In fact she left on the day you were born." Vegeta looked down to see his son breaking down in front of his eyes. And in that moment Vegeta realised he was actually feeling sympathy for the boy. An emotion he hated, but couldn't help but feel now. "Listen... Trunks, it's like I said. Others will just let you down." As Vegeta left, the swordsman felt so much pain. Yet his body was completely fine. Trunks couldn't speak. His body wouldn't move. The only thing he could do was scream.

Three knocks. Three knocks kept hitting on Barry's window. The noise had woken him up from a deep sleep. And the speedster was not happy. He dragged himself over to the window, opening the blinds. Revealing the noise was coming from Hal. In a green ball next to him was Dick and Damian.

"Morning sleepy head. Just came to remind you about the meeting this morning." Hal reminded him, though Barry simply shrugged it off.

"It's only... like eight, we've got plenty of time." Barry muttered back. The others all looked at each other before turning back.

"You do realise it's quarter past nine?" Dick informed him. Causing Barry to almost fall over.

"What? I overslept again!" Within a second Barry had changed into his hero costume. "Alright are you gonna let me on that raft of yours?"

"Sorry no can do." Hal rejected the proposal. "Taking these guys up to the lookout. Vegeta and Trunks should be finishing up soon."

"Trunks?" Barry inquired.

"You don't know?" Barry shook his head. "Turns out that kid who decimated Frieza, was actually Diana and Vegeta's son. It's crazy, am I right?" In that moment the door crept open. And out strolled a speechless Diana. No one spoke. No one even dared to move. Diana's stare was hollow, like she had just seen a ghost.

"That boy with my sword. He's Trunks?" Diana stuttered.

"Yeah." Hal whispered. The others just didn't know what to say. They were in a very awkward situation.

"Please, take me to him."

"I can take you to the lookout, but in terms of seeing him, you'll have to wait. He's currently taking a years long trip with Vegeta." Diana looked at him in confusion. "I'll explain on the way." Diana hopped on board, with all her equipment in hand. Hal was about to take off, before remembering something. "Oh Barry, this is for you." The lantern chucked a five dollar bill to his friend. "Thank Piccolo for his stupid names." The two smiled at one another, before Hal headed off.

Diana had no idea what to expect. She didn't even know if Trunks wanted to even speak to her. All she knew was that he had her blood. And that was worth it.

"I love you dad." Cyborg tearfully said as he stopped recording himself. The hero was currently in one of the bedrooms that Goku used to sleep in while training with master Roshi. It was peaceful and gave him the silence he needed. Though that silence was soon interrupted.

"Never took you for a pessimist." Arthur half heartedly joked.

"We've never faced a situation quite like this." Vic looked at his screen, pulling up an old photo. When he and his dad went to their first NFL game. A day that Victor would never forget. "It's funny, I used to look back to the past. Key decisions in my life. Maybe if I did this, or that differently, I wouldn't have ended up like this. Now? All I think about is taking that trip. If I hadn't gone, would those two have ended up as experiments?" Arthur shook his head.

"Listen you can't think like that! None of this is your fault."

"Maybe. But I still feel responsible for what happens next. Arthur, I need to know your opinion on this. Do you want to kill them?" The king sighed. He expected someone to eventually ask him that.

"Believe me, I don't want to kill them. Still, I will do what is necessary to protect my people." The two glanced at one another. The tension began to rise up.

"I... I can't do it. When I first woke, people almost died. It was only the kindness Barry showed me, that stopped my machine half."

"But your different."

"Gero wasn't able to torture me. That's the only difference between me and them." The conversation was soon interrupted by Krillin blasting his way inside.

"They're here!" Victor and Arthur joined the dwarf. Sprinting their way out the door. Out on the beach, the three androids proudly stood. Tien and Yamcha were already outside. The fear taking over their face. Cyborg and Aquaman were unable to hide their dread too. Krillin on the other hand was different. He stared at Eighteen with devotion. "Hi Eighteen." The dwarf stuttering not interesting the woman.

"Why, hello there. Is Goku here?" Seventeen greeted. Though everyone could tell it wasn't friendly.

"He isn't." Arthur coldly responded.

"Well do you mind if we take a look around." The heroes didn't respond to the machine. All they did was coldly stare at him. "And what's with the faces? I'm only trying to be polite."

"I have completed a scan of the building. Son Goku is not here." Sixteen added.

"So, you were telling the truth. Still, I'm guessing you all know where he is. So are you gonna tell me. Or do I have to make things difficult?" Seventeen threatened. The anxiety was now increasing amongst the group. They all knew none of them had a chance. Seventeen took one step forward. The others all took a fighting position, ready for an attack. "So who's going first?"

"How about me?" A voice yelled. Everyone wondered who it was. Until Sixteen spotted Piccolo floating above them. Soon slowly returning to ground level, separating the androids from the heroes. "You defeat me and I'll tell you where Goku is."

"Deal!" Eighteen said without a second thought. "Now let's just get this over and done with."

"There's a small island not too far from here. We'll fight there."

"Very well." Seventeen whispered as the three androids and Piccolo flew off. Victor looked on with determination.

"I'm going too." Before anyone could stop him, Victor shot off after them. Arthur looked on, smiling. He may not have agreed to Vic's decision. It put his kingdom at risk. However he did appreciate his teammate's determination.

.

So i realised that the previous five chapters have been very character driven. Don't worry, the action will start again next chapter.

Reviews:

Caitlin Sessmon: Glad you did. gonna be doing a few more manga references with Seventeen.

Fax15: That would be a spoiler.

X3runner:
1: I hope you'll enjoy how they both develop.

2: When planning out this arc the device was always a big thing for me. I thought about who would agree to use soe thing like this? Nobody wants to kill, but some will do it if necessary. Batman though would never do it. If they were androids of course he would. But since there human that would be murder. And its fun to explore this side of Bruce. Like you said he's usually the realist. However in this situation he's the optimist, seeing the best in them. It also gave me an opportunity to create more tension in the group.

3: Yes

4: Gohan is wearing his great Saiyaman costume.

Corondomontes: spoilers

Drake G Reaper: This will be more prevalent when Trunks and Vegeta exit the chamber.

MeteorElDrago: Ok a middle of the road opinion.
Cruden: Thanks

DragonDave45:
1: Thanks

2: Intersting

Christian Heath: Most chapters tend to hit around the 2.5k mark. The shortest has been 1.7 i think. Highest was the first with 3.8k

Shark: That's just who Bruce is. He wont kill.

Jadastroke64: Not willing to say just yet.

Guest 1: Yeah these next few arcs will test them. And it's only getting tougher.

Guest 2: Spoilers

Senua-hellbladeofthepicts:

1: Yes he is

2: Yes she is
