Hi guys another chapter is up. I hope you enjoy!
.
Piccolo kept his stoic look as the group landed onto ground. The island Piccolo had selected, was approximately twenty miles from Kame house. Much like the island master Roshi lived on. The sorrounding area was delsolate. Mostly sand, with some grass and a few trees scattered about. Piccolo stood in the centre with Cyborg behind him. The androids were located at the front. With Seventeen stepping forward. Cracking his knuckles.
"Since you had Vegeta. You wouldn't mind if I have Piccolo?" He politely asked his sister.
"Do what you like Seventeen." She halfheartedly responded. Leaning back on a large rock.
"Excellent." Seventeen's attention soon turned to the Namekian. "How about this? If you tell us where Goku is, we'll let you all live." Piccolo though remained silent. Cyborg looked on, knowing this was a bleak situation. All of a sudden Barry races up behind him.
"Sorry I'm late. What's going on?" The speedster whispered.
"Piccolo is challenging one of them. It's not gonna end well. These three absolutely destroyed us last time. And we had two Super Saiyan's on our side." Victor replied. Barry could tell his friend was shaken. Yet something didn't sit right with him.
"Weird."
"What's weird?"
"I've witnessed a ton of interrogations in my time. From the innocent to the guilty. And I can always tell when someone realises they're in trouble. Piccolo? He's confident." Cyborg was puzzled by this. "He should be at least a little shaken. He's about to face death head on. But there's only resolve. It's almost as if he doesn't even see Seventeen as a real threat. That leads me to two conclusions. One... either he's gone completely insane. Or two... he has a plan." Cyborg looked back at Piccolo in anticipation. Did he actually have a plan? Meanwhile, Seventeen took his fighting stance. It became obvious that Piccolo wasn't going to respond.
"Tell you what. If it's a good fight, I'll make your death pain..." Seventeen couldn't finish as Piccolo slammed his foot into the androids stomach. Who was sent hurtling into the ground twenty feet away. Everybody was shocked, Eighteen most of all.
"That's not possible." She muttered. Seventeen meanwhile had gotten to his feet. Brushing off the sand covering his clothes. His face hadn't changed. Seventeen was still confident he would win. Though Sixteen was doubtful.
"This isn't Piccolo." Sixteen yelled.
"Have you managed to loosen a screw or two? He sure looks like Piccolo to me." Seventeen argued. Though this distraction only resulted in Piccolo gaining an advantage. The Namekian connected a right hook. His opponent was unaware of the attack. Being flown into the air again. Piccolo flew after, jabbing at his stomach. Though Seventeen caught wind of this. Grabbing his fist just before it connected. The alien growled, noticing his opponent smirk. Seventeen started to spin him around. Throwing him into the ground.
Piccolo managed the gain his bearings. Scowling at the enemy. With Ki balls in his hands Piccolo fired numerous shots. Though they were all small and slow. Seventeen had no problems when it came to dodging. Eventually he stopped moving. And still not a single blast managed to hit.
"You should probably practice your aim more. I mean are you even trying to hit me?" Seventeen questioned his adversary.
"No!" That one word from Piccolo only managed to puzzle him.
"No? What do you mean no?" Suddenly it dawned on him. Seventeen looked behind to see all the Ki blast floating in mid air. "Oh... that's what he meant by no."
"Hellzone Grenade!" All the balls of Ki that Piccolo had missed suddenly careened towards Seventeen. The impact caused a several gigantic explosions. Smoke surrounded the machine. Covering him from view. The audience gasped as Piccolo seemingly achieved victory.
"Hellzone grenade huh? That's actually a pretty good name. Did you come up with that yourself?" The Namekian snarled as Seventeen was covered in a green force field. Blocking all his attacks. "I must admit, that almost worked. If you had been a fraction of a second quicker. I'd have been incinerated." Seventeen repressed the force field and dropped down. Facing off against Piccolo. Both showing their determination towards victory. "That's why I'm going to start getting serious."
.
Ever since he came to the past. Damian's entire world had turned upside down. Aliens, androids and meta humans were now all part of his everyday life. Now the teenager found himself on a giant platform, held up by a stick. Everything was too surreal. Damian looked over the edge. Seeing the world below him. Being from a post apocalyptic world, he had never seen such beauty. It was truly stunning. The swordsman felt a hand on his shoulder. He looked around to see Dick holding a bottle of water.
"Goku got us some refreshments from Bulma's." The boy wonder explained. Damian peered over to where the Saiyan was standing. Which was by the entrance to the time chamber. Speaking to Diana and Gohan. Damian reached out and grabbed the bottle.
"Thanks." He replied. The two looked out over the horizon. Watching the sun shine down. "Hey, you work with Batman right? What's he like?" Underneath his smile, Dick was still irritated by his guardian's actions.
"It's complicated. He tries his best but..."
"But what?"
"Let's just say that he's very stubborn. You either agree with him, or you're wrong." The boy wonder's voice was full of hate. And Damian could sense it.
"Sounds like a pain in the ass."
"It can be." At this point all Dick wanted to do was change the conversation. "So what about you? Got any family back home?" Damian stared out over the horizon.
"My mother and grandfather. They were the ones who taught me everything I knew." Damian paused. He had been so focused on the past. He hadn't given any thought about the future. His discomfort was clearly visible.
"You okay?"
"It just dawned on me that I'm never gonna see them again."
"They're still alive in this time aren't they? You can go visit them once this is all over."
"And say what? Hi mum, it's your son here. I've come from sixteen years in the future, just to see you."
"Fair point. What about your father? He must be still alive now?"
"He was killed by the androids when I was a child. But he's alive in this time."
"I get this whole time travel situation is weird. But shouldn't you go and see him?" Dick of course was oblivious to the fact that Damain had already met his father. Which of course didn't go very well.
"I'm not so sure anymore."
"Look take it from someone with experience. I lost my parents at a young age. And I would give anything to see them again. If you don't make that first contact. I promise, you'll regret it."
"Why? Why are you being so nice to me? Your partner doesn't trust me at all."
"Batman is a lot of things. But friendly isn't one of them." Dick chuckled as he remembered all the adventures he had been on. "Don't get me wrong on the inside he's compassionate. But on the outside he's cold. I don't want to be like that." Dick walked towards Gohan. Leaving the time traveller on his own. Before this day was over, Damain swore he would speak to his father.
.
Two large thumps could be heard throughout the island. Both Piccolo and Seventeen smashed onto the ground. The two falling back from a punch to the cheek. Piccolo managed to recover first. Gradually rising to his feet, the Namekian glared at his weakened opponent. Charging at him with full force. Still, Seventeen was expecting this. Quickly turning creating a gun sign with his index finger and thumb.
"Spirit gun." He whispered firing a Ki blast from the tip of his index finger. Piccolo had barely managed to dodge. The edge of Seventeen's Ki blast grazing his leg. The green alien cried out in pain. Slamming into the ground. While the attack had only just managed to hit him, it still left a mark. Gritting his teeth, Piccolo rose up. Seventeen blew away the smoke from his index finger. Taunting his opponent.
"Huh. I always pictured him as a Hiei kind of guy." Barry joked.
"You know I don't understand that reference." Victor replied. Seventeen meanwhile charged at the hurt Piccolo. The two were trading blows against each other. Neither giving the other any room to breath. Purple blood soon dripped from Piccolo's knuckles. While his opponents was gushing red. The battle had turned fierce.
Both men came in close. Each of their punches connecting against the other. They were no longer even attempting to dodge. This was about who could survive the longest. Even Eighteen was invested. One after another each punch slammed into its target with deadly force. Barry and Victor could barely watch as Piccolo let out a scream. He put everything he had into one punch. All his anger, determination and strength. With a thunderous crack, Seventeen was sent flying backwards. The other two androids stared in shock. While Barry and Victor cheered on their victorious comrade.
"Hell yeah!" Barry yelled.
"Way to go Piccolo." Cyborg added. The Namekian stood tall, until he collapsed in Victor and Barry's arms. "You did good buddy." Meanwhile Eighteen rushed over to her brother's aid.
"Seventeen! Come on, say something!" She pleaded. Suddenly his body shook. The three heroes stood in shock as Seventeen slowly rose to his feet. He was swaying from one side to the other. But he was still standing.
"I have to admit. You really did a number on me." The male android mumbled. Piccolo and Barry gritted their teeth. However Vic was distracted by something off to the right.
"Guys. We have a problem!" Cyborg fearfully warned them.
"Yeah, we aren't blind. Seventeen is still standing and I can barley even move." Piccolo responded.
"No, I mean we have another problem." The desperation in his voice increased.
"What are you going on..." Piccolo stopped mid sentence as he realised what was standing before them. Barry soon spotted it himself. All three started to shake. Seventeen and Eighteen looked over, confused by the situation. While Sixteen was his usual emotionless self. Over on top of a large rock was the familiar sight of Cell. It licked his lips looking at the androids.
"Hello... my... family."

So this was admittedly a short chapter. But it was best to end it here. I'll be back soon.
Reviews:
Dark Flacon:
1: No
2: Honestly doing long arcs that are recaps isn't what i want the story to be. This arc i can make enough changes to make it interesting. However with Buu it was too long and felt too restrictive when planning out.
X3runner:
1: It was so interesting when doing Trunks arc. When planning it out, i realised nobody had suffered more than him. How does that affect a 16 year old? So i made him bitter and full of rage. Which coincides with his Saiyan power. I love writing such a complex character.
2: If thats what you got from the ares reveal fair enough. But thats not what i was going for. Throughout her life Dianas always been told shes special. (That she was born from clay. Ares taking an interest in her). So she goes to mans world and sees the absolute worst of humanity. The first time was when she let the criminal go and he killed that woman she tried to protect. That led to her one night stand with Vegeta. To Diana this eventchanged her. To her, these gutless men it changed her. So when Ares comes down and gives her a way to be free from this corruption she takes it.
The thing is, Ares reveal as her father for me didn't lead to a selfish decision. In that moment Diana realised that she wasn't special. She was no different from the men she had been told she was better than all her life. And that she was capable of evil actions just like the men she grew to resent. I never intended it to be a selfish decision. It was a moment of realisation.
Cruden:
1: I think i just could have paced this arc better.
2: I hope i met your expectations.
Corondomontes: Thanks
Fax15: Thanks. They will meet very soon.
Rwbylover25: This wont end well.
S3rp3nte: Yeah. What I will say is that it will play a big role in the final arc.
Guest: No. That works in an abridged series, because its comedic. But my story is slightly darker. So no.
