Hi guys this is unfortunately not the update that you're hoping for. During the past year. I realised that at my current pace, it would take me 10 years to complete this story. So I attempted to cut it down. However I soon realised that I'd just be giving you an inferior product. So unfortunately this story has been cancelled. I know It's disappointing to hear and I'm sorry I've let you guys down. It's been a hell of a time. And I'd like to thank each and every one of you for supporting me.
But it would be wrong for me not to give some sort of closure. So here is what would have happened in the remaining arcs.
Android Saga:
So we were pretty close to finishing this arc. But the main twist would be that Eighteen would live. Events would play similar to how they were in canon, except Superman would join the party after Vegeta beat Cell. It would be two on two with Superman eventually defeating Cell. Trunks then battles Clark due to the former wishing to kill Eighteen. With the Kryptonian once again claiming victory. Stating that even though he had more power, Trunks anger caused him to leave openings. Eighteen would live and take Sixteen to Bulma.
Broly Saga:
Yes the big green haired Goliath would have made an appearance. The premise would have been like the first film. Everyone goes except Sixteen and Eighteen (due to not going to the party). Batman and Robin (Didn't want to go and following the former, respectively) And the Kryptonians (due to Paragas hate of them). They get to the planet and meet Broly who in my version is a naive young man. He and Goku start to form a friendship. Like the film Paragas hates Vegeta due to his father trying to kill him and his son due to a latent power within. Attempting to kill them by trapping them on the planet with an incoming comet approaching. When he is discovered, Paragas lets himself be killed by a pretty weak energy blast from Goku. Which triggers Broly's transformation into the Legendary Super Saiyan. The whole team fights him and gets there asses handed to them. Diana uses the transformation of the gods and manages to land a few hits, but Broly soon starts taking it seriously. The comet draws closer with Goku still not giving up on rescuing his friend. Piccolo convinces Goku that the Broly he knew is gone, causing Goku to teleport everyone back to Earth. Broly seemingly gets killed.
Meanwhile back on earth. Clark confesses to Lois that he has feelings for her and they start dating. However Clark's plans are interrupted by Paragas who cloned Broly and fitted him with Kryptonian DNA, creating Doomsday. Sixteen, Kara and Bruce join the fight. Yet they soon realise that due to mixing both DNA's Doomsday's regenerates immune to whatever killed him. Realising they can't kill him Clark suggests that Bruce go get the phantom drive on his ship. So they can trap him in the phantom zone. Alfred suggests that Bruce use the Kryptonite that he has, but he refuses. Kara gets knocked out, And Clark confesses to Lois that he is Superman. In a last ditch attempt Clark holds off doomsday on his own until Bruce arrives with the phantom drive. The portal opens and Sixteen sacrifices himself to push doomsday in the portal. Clark would die from his wounds.
The Seven Deadly Sins Saga:
This arc starts at Clark's funeral. Where Cell in his perfect form suddenly appears online. Ares had resurrected him and others using a ritual which resurrected them at the cost of his immortality. Then used 13 to achieve his perfect form. Cell announces a tournament with six other participants at his side. On the day Mr Satan loses easily to Cell. (He doesn't take credit however he does become an overnight sensation as the man who fought a god). The other participants are revealed to be former enemies. (Who are based on the seven deadly sins).
Cell = Gluttony
Frieza = Sloth
Dr Gero = Greed
Turles = Pride
Reverse Flash = Envy
Sinestro = Wrath
Ginyu = Lust
Barry would beat reverse flash ending there battle once and for all. Piccolo would take the W against Turles, finally beating a Goku. Kara would beat Ginyu striving to be a hero once more. Krillin would kill Gero, solidify his love for Eighteen. Goku would do the same thing he did with Gohan. However this time it's Kara who almost dies. Gohan goes berserk and does kill Cell first time but not before torturing him and enjoying it. Something that Piccolo has to snap him out of.
Meanwhile Diana kills Frieza showing her what happens when someone is bought up by a bad parent. Trunks kills Sinestro, saying that he's done letting anger control him. Ares though is too powerful for them and when Trunks is about to be stabbed Vegeta jumps in the way sacrificing his life for his son. With his last words Vegeta declares Trunks 'The prince of all Saiyan's'. Diana and Trunks kill Ares with the latter achieving a mix between the transformation of the gods and Super Saiyan.
King Kai is so impressed with Clark that he gives up his life to make sure Superman lives. (Like elder Kai did with Goku). Everyone finds out about project Deicide and kicks Bruce out of the JL. With both Alfred and Dick also leaving Wayne manor. Superman comes back to Earth and instantly calls Goku out for almost letting Kara die. It gets worse for Goku as Chi Chi leaves him while pregnant. Gohan realising what happened vows to never use Super Saiyan 2 again. Trunks and Damain return to their time with the former coming back to the present after the androids are defeated. Trunks and Diana rekindle. Bulma offers to return baby Trunks to her. But Diana states that she has to start thinking about what's best for her son, not her. Baby Trunks remains with Bulma, with Diana taking an aunt role.
The Prometheus Saga:
Set a year after.
A short arc with Goku being hunted by a man in a mask called Prometheus. Goku starts to lose it and is even manipulated into killing Roshi. Prometheus is revealed to be Max (Who yes, is Maxwell Lord). Who wanted to break Goku mentally. Max wanted revenge since his family was from Jingle village who all got massacred by reinforcements from the red ribbon army after Goku promised to protect them. Including his sister Suno. Max succeeds and Goku is mentally defeated he leaves to live on King Kai's planet. Max is killed by Lex Luthor who tipped him off after keeping a satellite image on Kame house discovering all their identities.
This is also where Gohan would meet Videl.
The Suicide Squad Saga:
This arc would have consisted of Eighteen being recruited into the suicide squad. Deadshot, Harley Quinn, Kitana and King Shark making up the squad. They would all go to Tokyo to stop Black Mask from selling chemical weapons on the black market. Krillin would also become involved as he spotted Eighteen while working as a police officer. Black Mask is defeated and Krillin manages to convince Eighteen that she isn't a monster. The two escape from Waller and begin a relationship.
Killing Joke Saga:
Yes, I was planning on doing a version of The Killing Joke. Instead, it would be Mr Satan taking the place of Commissioner Gordon. And Videl instead of Barbara Gordon. Gohan would appear as Saiyaman. They use a Senzu to heal Videl, (though this does nothing for the mental scars it leaves behind). Gohan promises to save Videl's father. The fight between Batman and Joker remains the same. Gohan would rescue Satan but in a twist, he shoot's himself after beliving Videl to be dead. Gohan tells the police that he accidentally knocked a stray bullet into Satan to spare Videl's feelings. Though she arrives at the scene and blames Saiyaman for her father's death, vowing revenge.
Black Saga:
Set 5 years later.
During training Gohan, Piccolo and Yamcha would be transported to another world by a different Dick Grayson, now going by Nightwing. In this world the entire Justice League with the exception of him and Goku was killed by a anti ki bomb placed by the Joker. In that time a new vigilante started killing criminals, calling himself Black. Yamcha starts to fall in love with an OC. While Gohan, Nightwing and Piccolo starts some detective work where they find Goku. Who is living as a pacifist. They are soon attacked by Black who reveals himself to be the alternate version of Gohan, who survived the bomb blast. Black cripples them and Piccolo sacrifices his life to give them a chance to escape. Night wing now knowing who it is brings over Supergirl in the hopes she can get Black to stop. Gohan and Black have one final duel where Gohan finally accepts the power of SSJ2 and uses it to beat Black. Yamcha decides to stay in the alternate earth and Gohan and Kara begin a relationship.
The World's Finest Saga:
This would begin with Clark and Lois getting married. Everything is going great until Clark receives a tip about Lex selling weapons to terrorists. Clark and Jimmy investigate where they find precisely that. They run the story, but Lex blackmails Jimmy into switching the photo with a fake. Lex orders a retraction and Clark is fired.
At the same time, Lex hires Deathstroke to kill Chi Chi. He uses two lasers to frame Superman. Goku returns vowing to kill Superman. With everyone looking for Clark, he turns to Bruce. Who deduces that the lasers must have come from Lexcorp as it burns at a specific temperature. Clark confronts Lex, but the billionaire reveals he has captured Bulma, Goten and younger Trunks. All of which are being held in three different rooms around the world. If one of them is broken into, then, the other two will have orders to kill. To save all three, Clark will have to kill Goku in the middle of Metropolis. Bruce hears their conversation and attempts to reconcile with the league, in order to save their lives.
Back in Metropolis the two start fighting. Goku asks to move but Clark knows he has to refuse. As expected, this causes a lot of damage. Clark tries to save as many people as he can, but even he has limits. Bulma and the boys are rescued. Causing the brawl in metropolis to stop, right as Goku is about to kill Clark. Lex is arrested after Batman plays a recording of Lex blackmailing Superman, but the damage is done. People start to turn against the league calling for them to disband. Goku stays on earth to raise his two sons. Though Gohan refuses to forgive him.
The Tournament Saga:
6 months later.
The league has been quiet over the last few months. Crime has gone down, and what little there is, is enough for the police to handle. Then one day Goku receives an invitation from the World Martial Arts Tournament. Instead of the regular tournament, the Justice League is being challenged by a mysterious group calling themselves Team Justice. In a ten vs ten showdown.
The whole world is watching as Team Warriors consists of Goku, Gohan, Adult Trunks, Eighteen, Krillin, Tien, Superman, Supergirl, Wonder Woman and Flash.
Team Justice consists of Dr Fate, Zatanna, Videl, Cooler, Lobo, Deathstroke, Hit, Seventeen, Shazam and Broly (Who Fate saved before the comet hit).
The day before, an exhibition one vs one match is set up with two random opponents. The draw is revealed to be Superman vs Shazam. They duke it out with Shazam winning, yet Superman starts to win the crowd with a heartfelt speech about how he let everyone down by letting his anger (for Goku) cloud his judgment. And that the league will never let them down again.
The next day the battles begin. The two androids fight with Eighteen taking victory with the help of Krillin. Trunks barely manages to beat Cooler in a golden form. Gohan defeats Lobo but is intercepted by Videl (with a power up from fate) she gets the head up on Gohan who refuses to fight back, but is eventually beaten by Kara. Flash beats Hit (As he is the only one not affected by his abilities. Also, yes, Barry would be making Jojo references throughout the fight). Tien defeats a powered up Deathstroke. Zatanna is stopped by Clark, she accuses him of stealing her life but Barry promises her they had nothing to do with it. Diana stops Fate. Then all ten work together to beat Broly, who still has a vendetta against Goku. They all emerge victorious however each one is on the verge of collapsing. That's when Shazam enters the battle.
We get Shazam's backstory throughout the arc. He of course is a nine year old boy named Billy Batson who looked up to the Justice League. That was until his parents died in the clash between Goku and Superman. Which in turn was also the day he gained his powers from the wizard Shazam. Billy was put into foster care and constantly clashes with his siblings especially Freddie who's a JL fanboy. He does know Luthor blackmailed them but that isn't an excuse for him. He entered the tournament to prove they weren't heroes.
Back at the fight Billy realises that even on the verge of collapsing every single member of the league is still ready to fight. Realising that they are heroes he almost concedes. But Clark convinces him that heroes never give up. Shazam wins and the League gains a lot more respect.
Fate uses magic to show Videl, Zatanna and Broly that the league were not to blame for each of their vendettas. And delivers a warning... Darkseid is coming.
Battle Of Gods Saga
Events would play out almost identically to canon. Except this time Kara is pregnant. Also no Pilaf.
Darkseid War Saga
One year later
The arc starts with Steppenwolfe making his way to Earth. He beats most of the league with Goku needed to stop him. The league is then visited by Orion and Highfather (Who is Supreme Kai in my universe). Highfather explains that Darkseid seeks the anti-life equation. Year's ago Highfather hid it in three motherboxes One kept on New Genesis, One on Earth and the other on Planet Vegeta (which is in his possession). And Darkseid has been planning an invasion of Earth ever since Frieza blew up Vegeta. Kara gives her daughter Pan to Whis until the invasion is over. Goku, Superman, Gohan, Batman and Future Trunks head to New Genesis to bring the other Motherbox and the new gods to Earth. The plan being that standing together would be better.
Yet while they are away Darkseid attacks. Flash lands a few hits but disappears through a portal. Darkseid steals the motherbox and uses a boom tube to head towards New Genesis. Darkseid confronts everyone explaining what he is doing is just. When mortals have free will it always ends in that race's extinction. To save the universe, Darkseid must subjugate it. The league fight back but are no match. In a cruel twist Darkseid wins and uses the anti life equation to control everyone. The five league members who went to New Genesis, plus Orion and Highfather are transported to Beerus planet which is the only place protected from the anti life equation. Everyone looks on as they all realised it's all over.
Six months later Barry appears on Beerus planet and is shocked to learn from Highfather that Darkseid won. Clark loses hope, Goku trains non stop to the point he collapses, Bruce is planning 24/7 how to free everyone, Trunks does nothing but brood and Gohan has given up and is content with raising his daughter. Barry manages to rally the troupes in order to fight back. At this point fate appears and reveals his master… Doctor Manhattan. Who in turn created this universe as an experiment. He explains that while usually he can see everything that has happened or will ever happen from here onwards he is completely in the dark. Clark gives a speech about hope and how even though they may lose it's always worth fighting. Manhattan sacrifices himself so that the others can go to Apokolips without getting affected by the anti life equation. They all get teleported into the dungeons, (minus Beerus, Whis and Highfather). Where they encounter Mr Miracle who helps them to rescue his lover Big Barda. He also reveals that he is the son of Highfather and Orion is the son of Darkseid. Whis forced them to switch sons to stop the ongoing war between New Genesis and Apokolips. This only fuels Orion's hatred of Darkseid. Their group manages to make their way above ground. Where they are confronted by a brainwashed Kara, Diana and Barda leading the female furies. Trunks, Gohan and Mr Miracle stay behind to hold them off. After being separated from the others. Batman notices Darkseid's head scientist Desaad in a room full of boomtubes, and incapacitates him. Goku, Superman and Flash make it into Darkseid's throne room where he is waiting for them all. The anti life equation materialised into a crystal, yet Darkseid insists that it is unbreakable. The three fight it out with the new god beating the three with ease. Orion enters as he starts beating Darkseid, who will not fight his own son.
(A way to Humanise Darkseid was probably the hardest thing I had to come up with).
The three heroes grab the crystal, however much like what Darkseid said, it is unbreakable. So Barry sacrifices himself by sending the anti life equation to the end of time. At this point Darkseid's other son Kalibak kills Orion, which in turn causes Darkseid to kill him. With both his Son and ambitions gone. Darkseid vows to conquer the entire universe by force. Smashing both Goku and Superman outside. Batman returns as he activates all the boom tubes. And through the portals steps out everyone through the story.
(I actually came up with this before Avengers Endgame so I did chuckle to myself when I saw it for the first time).
The parademon army were easy to handle, but nobody was able to even touch Darkseid. The tension only solidifies as the New God one shots Broly. Goku comes up with the idea to create a spirit bomb that has the energy of the entire universe. So for thirty minutes everyone keeps Darkseid's from attacking. When Goku launch's it, the spirit bomb looks like it will fail and that Darkseid will once again win. Yet at the last second Beerus shows up and distracts Darkseid just long enough for the spirit bomb to do it's job.
The story would end with the league creating the hall of Justice where they would all pay tribute to Barry. While all returning to the lives they lost.
So that's the Justice Warriors. Where do I go from here? After almost two years I have finally got my writing mojo back. I am currently writing a story for the anime Sword Art Online. I have written most of the first chapter already. So if you are interested please follow my profile.
