Olivia is sitting on a barstool at O'Malley's.

She sits alone by a lamppost

Trying to find the thought that's escaped her mind

She says dads the one I love the most

But Stipe's not far behind

She looks up to see Elliot standing next to her holding out his hand. He helps her up and takes her to his car. He takes her back to his place.

She never let me in

Only tells me where she's been

When she's had too much to drink

They are sitting on his couch. She is cuddled up in his arms.

I said that I don't care

I just run my hands through her dark hair

Then I pray to God you gotta

Help me fly away

He closes his eyes as he holds back tears.

And just let her cry

If the tears fall down like rain

Let her sing

If it eases all her pain

Let her go

Let her walk right out on me

And if the sun comes up tomorrow

Let her be

Let her be

She looks to notice that he had fallen asleep.

This morning I woke up alone

Found a note standing by the phone

Saying baby, maybe I'll be back some day

I wanted to look for you

You walked in I didn't know what I should do

Olivia walked in with two cups of coffee. She went over to Elliot and set the cups on the coffee table. He stood up and looked in her eyes as one tear streamed down her face.

So I sat back down and had a beer and felt sorry for myself

Saying let her cry

If the tears fall down like rain

Let her sing

If it eases all her pain

Let her walk right out on me

And if the sun comes up tomorrow

Let her be

Let her be

They sit on the couch in each other's arms. He kisses her on the forehead.

Let her cry

If the tears fall down like rain

Let her sing

If it eases all her pain

Let her go

Let her walk right out on me

And if the sun comes up tomorrow

Let her be

Oh…

Last night I tried to leave

Cried so much I could not believe

Olivia was sleeping when Elliot looked at her in his bed and saw her in a new light.

She was the same girl I fell in love with long ago

Olivia got up and walked into the bathroom and fell to the floor crying.

She went in the back to get high

Elliot went back into the living room.

I sat on my couch and cried yellin' Oh momma please help me

Won't you hold my hand and…

He put his face in his hands and wept.

Let her cry

If the tears fall down like rain

Let her sing

If it eases all her pain

Let her go

Let her walk right out on me

And if the sun comes up tomorrow

Let her be

Oh, let her be

Olivia got into be with Elliot and rubbed her hands on his chest as he ran his hands through her hair and they kissed.
