The next morning. Skye was up early she went into the kitchen and went to the fridge and found some juice and a glass. She filled it up and went and sat in the living room with it sipping it.

Wanda came into the living room with a cup of coffee. "You are up early." She told Skye

"Yeah. Woke up an hour ago. Couldn't get back to sleep." Skye said

"You okay?" Wanda asked

"Not really no." Skye said

"What's wrong?" Wanda asked

"I got in trouble last night." Skye said

"Did you tell him about the piercings? Did he come down on you for it?" Wanda asked

"Yes. And not exactly." Skye said

"Not exactly?" Wanda asked

Skye let out a breath. "He told me if I told him what was going on he wouldn't punish me. So I did and it was fine. But than the other person involved in the whole situation… felt guilty for keeping it quiet and we had to tell Steve about it…"

"Other person involved?" Wanda asked

"I didn't actually pierce my own ears. Lila did." Skye said

Wanda nodded abit. "So you lied to me too."

Skye nodded abit.

"I was willing to go to bat for you and you still kept up the lie." Wanda said

"I'm sorry." Skye said softly

"Do her parents know?" Wanda asked

"Clint does. I'm guessing one of them will tell Laura." Skye said

Wanda nodded.

"I'm really sorry I lied to you. I wont do it again." Skye told her.

Wanda let out a breath. "Its forgiven. You can trust me to keep your secrets. I already told your dad I wont tell him things that I don't think he needs to know. As long as you are not in danger or going to do something stupid I wont tell him."

Skye nodded "Okay. Thank you. I appreciate that."

"How are they healing?" Wanda asked

"Well. Don't even see any redness anymore." Skye said

Wanda shook her head "Speed healing does not help a lesson stick in."

Skye chuckled abit "I wont get another piercing like that again. I will go to a professional."

"Good." Wanda said, "Come on lets start on breakfast for everyone."

Skye nodded and the two of them went into the kitchen and started to make breakfast for everyone.

Slowly everyone woke up and breakfast was had.

Steve's phone went off and he went to the other room to answer it when he was done he came back into the room.

"Everything is approved." He told Skye and Thor.

"Great. We shall have a lot of fun together the next few weeks." Thor said

Skye smiled and nodded "I'm looking forward to it."

"Before you go. I will be taking you back to the group home for you to get all your stuff." Steve said

Skye nodded abit.

"There is a bunch of social workers and police there. You will be safe." Steve told her

Skye nodded again.

After breakfast Skye went to the bedroom and took her phone and texted Kate.

'Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. I wasn't sure how I should answer questions without risking my safety. I didn't lay a hand on anyone. They attacked me. And obviously you know the answer to the other question at this point since it is all over the news but yes. I have super strength and other things. When I'm able to I would love to meet up and I will explain everything but I'm out of state for a few weeks till the courts allow my biological father to get full custody of me.' She sent. She packed up everything she had with her before Steve came into the room.

"You ready to go back to the group home?" He asked

Skye nodded abit.

The two went. When they got there they both went inside. Her social worker met them at the door.

Steve and her shook hands. Her social worker looked at her and tilted her head. "When did you get your ears pierced?"

Skye bit her lip.

Steve shook his head "She did that this weekend. Behind my back. I assure you it has been handled."

Her social worker shook her head at Skye. "Go pack your stuff."

Skye went quickly.

"I am thrilled that it turns out you are her father. For several reasons." The social worker said to Steve

"Oh?" Steve asked

"Well. Main one is because foster care goal is always first reunification with biological family. Had we known in the beginning she would have been with you instantly. But also because in the time she has been in the mentoring program with you. Even though I was incredible deceived with what was actually going on. We have all seen an improvement in her behaviour and all-around attitude. She went from basically failing last year to a B student this year. And the only thing we can say has changed for her is her time with you." The social worker said.

Steve nodded. "I'm glad I'm having a positive impact on her. And I wish I had known in the beginning too."

"Any idea why her mother wouldn't have told you?" The social worker asked

"No. Idea. And I cant even ask her. She passed away a couple years after Skye was born. We were no longer together but she and I stayed friends. We talked all the time. Didn't see each other much though which is obviously how she kept it from me." Steve said

The social worker shook her head "Really is to bad. She has been through so much that could have been avoiding if you had known."

Steve nodded "Agreed. But I can not keep that in mind. Just have to move forward at this point."

The social worker nodded "Best way to go about it yes."

"Once everything is finalized I would like access to all of her file." Steve said

"Yup. That's fine. I will make sure you get the paperwork to make that happen. Her foster system file that is. For her police file you will have to go through the police." She said

Steve nodded "Good. And okay I will do that."

Skye came down with a garbage bag full of her stuff.

Steve shook his head. 'A garbage bag' he thought. He didn't realize she didn't have more than her backpack for packing stuff and that was back at the compound with her stuff from the weekend.

He took the bag.

Skye looked at her social worker.

"Okay. You got everything right?" Social worker asked

"Yes ma'am." Skye said

Social worker smiled and nodded. "Good. I will see you in a few weeks when the court case comes."

Skye nodded "See you than."

Her and Steve went out to the car. Steve put the bag in the trunk, and they started for the compound. "I can lend you a bag for the next few weeks. So you don't need to carry everything around in that bag. And when you are with me full time we can get you your own suitcase."

Skye nodded abit.

"You ever have a suitcase or anything?" Steve asked

Skye shook her head "Garbage bags have always been what kids in care use to move from place to place. I used my backpack for weekends because its big enough for that but not for much more."

Steve nodded "Well I'm not going to let you use a garbage bag anymore to transport your stuff around."

Skye tilted her head

"Because your stuff isn't garbage." Steve said

Skye nodded abit. "Do you expect me to start calling you dad?"

"Expect it. No. But if you want to I'd be okay with it." Steve said "Its up to you. You can keep calling me Steve or call me any version of dad. Whatever you are comfortable with."

Skye nodded "Okay."

They got back to the compound and Steve helped her bring her stuff inside and to her bedroom. He went to his own room and found his suitcase and brought it to her.

"Thanks." She said

"Of course." Steve said

She started to pack for the next three weeks.

Lila came into the room and started to pack. "I had a lot of fun getting to know you this weekend."

Skye smiled "Me too. And the trouble for the piercing was worth it."

Lila chuckled. "I don't know. I had to give them a list of all the people who I have done it for. I'm guessing parents are being called. So all my friends are going to be pissed at me. And they took my phone, so I cant warn them."

"Oof." Skye said making a face.

"Yeah…" Lila said

"Sorry. I should have just said no." Skye said

"I shouldn't have offered." Lila said

Skye shrugged. She handed her, her own phone. "Put your number in."

Lila did so.

"How long do you think they are keeping your phone?" Skye asked

"Probably just till they talk to parents. A few days." Lila said

"Okay. I will text you in a few days, so you have my number." Skye said

"Perfect." Lila told her

Laura peaked into the room. "You almost ready?" She asked her daughter

"Yes." Lila said

Laura looked at Skye. "How are the ears today? Can I take a look?"

"Fine. Pretty much healed." Skye said she pushed her hair out of the way so Laura could see.

Laura looked. "Healed pretty quickly"

"I heal quickly." Skye said

"Its totally unfair." Lila said with a chuckle

"I think its lucky you don't have to feel bad that she has to deal with the discomfort that comes with infected piercing." Laura told her daughter

"Oh. I'm thrilled. I just cant believe of all people who ended up with an infected piercing its her. Super healing doesn't keep infections away?" Lila asked

"I'm guessing like with everything else in life how things affect people differ." Laura said

"That's probably also why I am diabetic, and I don't think Steve could be." Skye said "I am half super so only have half the power I guess. So I can get the infection. But heal quickly I guess."

Laura nodded. "Doesn't mean you should take risks with your health or safety."

Skye nodded "I wont."

Everyone went out to the living room as the few people who don't live there started to head out. Hugs and byes were given all around.

Once they were all gone Thor looked at the young girl. "You ready?" He asked

"Yes. Just got to grab my bag." She went and grabbed it and went back out "Um. How are we getting there? I don't have my own ID's or anything…" She said

"You don't?" Steve asked

Skye shook her head "My social worker keeps all those. It's a 'safety thing'" she said rolling her eyes.

"Well we do not need them." Thor said. He held up the storm breaker. "This takes me anywhere I want to go and if you hold onto me you will come too." Thor said

Skye smiled and nodded "What is it?"

"The storm breaker." Thor said setting it down

"Its his weapon. It can only be used by those who are worthy." Tony said

"Not many people are." Steve said

"How many is not many?" Skye asked

"Five people other than me." Thor said

"Anyone in this room?" Skye asked

Everyone looked at Steve.

Steve chuckled and picked it up.

"Wow. What makes someone worthy? Strength?" Skye asked

"No." Thor said

"I think its got more to do with character than physical strength." Nat said

"So genetics wouldn't play a role?" Skye asked with a smirk

"Possibly." Thor said "I had a sister who could also wield Mjolnir."

"That was his hammer. It got destroyed so the axe was created to replace it works the same. Only those who are worthy can lift and use it." Tony said

Skye nodded. "You have a brother too don't you?"

"Ah yes. Loki. He is not brother by blood." Thor said

"Oh." Skye said

Thor pointed to the axe. "You may try." He said

Skye shook her head "No that's okay."

Thor shrugged "Come on Mini America. Let us go."

"Mini America?" She asked grabbing her bag

"Ah yes. You are Captain American's daughter. Mini America." Thor said grabbing his axe and putting his other arm out to the young girl.

"If I get some sort of superhero name it will -not be that." She said linking arms with him.

"Ah. Okay. We shall decide it together." Thor nodded.

"Skye. You stay out of trouble." Steve said, "If she gives you any trouble I am just a call way." Steve told Thor.

"I will behave." Skye said with a smile.

"Any trouble we will get into together." Thor said flashing his Thor smirk as the two of them transported to Asgard.
