Meanwhile at Jane's house, Jeremy had just returned home from school. Upon setting his backpack and schoolbooks down, he hears soft sobbing from upstairs. He recognizes the sobbing and heads upstairs to see what was wrong.

He knocks on Jane's bedroom door and says, "Little sis, everything alright?"

She stops weeping and takes a sad sigh. "No."

"Do you want to talk about it?" Jeremy asked, concerned for his younger sister.

"Alright." Jane approaches her door and opens it. "Come in," she says in a despairing tone.

Jeremy comes in and takes a seat on Jane's bed. "Is there a reason why you're upset? Did something happen at school?"

"I got into a fight with a classmate and lost Carl in the process," Jane replies.

"You got into a fight?!" Jeremy was shocked to hear that Jane out of all people got into some trouble at school. His sister is usually a well-behaving student who cares about working hard to eventually graduate and get accepted into a good university, so to hear her admit she caused some trouble at school is shocking and almost unbelievable to Jeremy. "Who did you fight with?!"

"Adelaide."

"Adelaide? That's a new name. Who's she?"

"She's a half-white, half-Chinese girl who is in my second-grade class. I wanted to be friends with her at first," Jane describes, "but after she admitted she loves Carl I became jealous."

"Oh. Well how are things with Carl now?" Jeremy asked in curiosity.

Jane became aggravated by that question. "Didn't I just tell you?! Carl doesn't love me anymore! And it's all thanks to that brat!"

"Whoa, whoa, whoa!" Jeremy is taken back by his sister's sudden outburst. "Let's not play the blame game!"

"It is her fault, Jeremy! Adelaide's the one who thought it was a good idea to steal the man I care so much about! But…" the pretty plump princess calms herself after realizing her actions are what drove Carl away, "every time we fight… it scares Carl…"

"And you haven't noticed until now?"

"Actually… now that I think about it… is Carl really the one for me?"

"What do you mean by that?"

"Well… there was this new kid who tried to do a rickroll. His name is Stanley."

"Stanley?" Jeremy recognizes the name. "You mean Spencer's brother?"

"Who's Spencer?"

"One of my friends. He's a big guy who is on my school's football team," he explains. "He's dating an Indian girl named Ruby who's in the school comedy club. Not good at memorizing though."

"I didn't know Stanley had a brother," said Jane.

"I never knew Spencer had a brother until he just told me, Lori, Leni, Chaz, and my other friends," adds Jeremy.

"Gee… after learning more about Stanley, the more I want to get to know him and…" Jane suddenly arrives at a surprising conclusion. "Could it be that Stanley is the one for me?"

"Depends on who you like more. Carl or Stanley?"

"Only one way to find out!" Jane, with a sudden increase in confidence, then marches out of her room.

"I have an interesting little sister," comments Jeremy as he watches her leave.

Later that night at the Casagrande home, Carl is in the living room depressingly stuffing his face with chips and guacamole.

Rosa walks by and notices his grandson's ill manners. "Carlino! Eat with your mouth closed!" She scolds.

"Can't. Depressed," he utters as he gulps down the guacamole-covered chips.

"Are you still sad about those girls?"

Carl nods slowly before flopping his head on the bowl of guacamole.

Rosa feels bad for him. She had never seen her grandson this sorrowful before. The boy who was once boastful about getting the ladies and failing miserably after doing so is now a stressed-out, heartbroken wreck after dealing with two girls who do want him. If anything Carl should be more than content to have two ladies who actually love him rather than the opposite, but he is also just a young boy who should not be worrying about what women would think of him, let alone deal with the stress of dating.

"Oh, Carlino. I know you had a stressful day, but don't give up on women so easily. Just give them another chance." Rosa insists. "Who knows? Maybe you'll find a girl who actually loves you back."

Carl sighs. "I don't know. All my life I tried to get a girl and be successful, but no matter what I do I always lose. Even when I have two of them I still come out as the loser! So what's the point of trying again?"

"But you never gave up before!" CJ exclaims.

"Well now I am!" asserts Carl.

Then, Hector comes over, having heard all the commotion. "Now, now, kiddo. I used to be in a love triangle, too."

Carl suddenly lifts his head from the bowl, covered in guacamole. "You have?!"

Hector nods his head. "Uh huh."

"Tell me about it! Por favor!"
