"And before going to apologize to the girls, where's Carlota?" Carl wondered.

His question is soon answered when Carlota suddenly bursts through the front door with Adelaide in hand. "Here!" she shouts, out of breath.

"Boy! Right in the nick of time!" Carl comments.

Then, Jeremy and Jane also come running into the home. "We're finally here!" He exclaims, tired from running like Carlota.

"Since you girls are here," Carl begins his apology, "I just want to say… I'm sorry I acted like a jerk."

Jane and Adelaide cross their arms as they listen.

"Jane, I'm sorry about everything. I hope you understand that I-"

"No." Jane stops him. "Actually… I've been thinking. Adelaide is the girl you deserve, but we can still be friends."

"Wait, don't tell me you're actually going to date Stanley!" Carl is shocked that Jane is even considering giving Stanley a chance.

Coincidentally, Stanley shows up in the apartment. "Somebody mentioned me?" he asks.

"Stanley!" The kids are surprised to see him here.

"Umm… Jane?" He starts rubbing his arms and rubbing his foot against the rug, nervous about confessing his feelings again. "I don't know how to tell you this, but…" He takes a heavy deep breath before exclaiming quickly, "DOYOUWANTTOGOONADATEWITHME?!"

"How about…" Jane inhales very deeply before responding, "YESIWILLGOONADATEWITHYOU!" before, to his shock, kissing him on the cheek.

Stanley starts blushing from the kiss, and his eyes turn to hearts. "I like that," he says before he faints.

"Well now that's settled…" Carl turns his attention to Adelaide, "How about you and I go to the arcade?"

"I would love to go!" Adelaide accepts before kissing Carl in the cheek, making him blush a bit. He closes his eyes and makes a huge smile, knowing the love triangle is no more and everybody has won.

The following week, Carl and Adelaide win the Princess and her Prince Charming pageant along with Jane and Stanley. The audience applauds their victory.

"My first pageant," Adelaide says to Carl, "and we won!"

"So did we!" Stanley tells Jane.

As the applause dies down, Dana Dufresne appears on stage and makes her announcement. "Congrats to Princess Jane and Prince Stanley, and to Princess Adelaide and Prince Carl for winning today's princess and prince pageant."

The audience applauds again.

"For their hard work," she resumes, "they are invited to compete in Southern Michigan's Little Miss Princess and her Prince Charming Regional Pageant!"

A bigger applause follows.

"Ah man…" Lola and Winston look down in disappointment.

"A regional pageant?! Eeee!" Jane squeals in excitement. "I've never competed in a regional pageant before!"

"Me neither!" exclaims Adelaide.

"Where's the pageant gonna take place?" Carl asked Dana.

"Somewhere in Detroit."

"Eh. Not that far from here."

Dana then returns her attention to the crowd. "Give them another hand, people!"

The audience clap and cheer for the final time as Jane, Stanley, Carl, and Adelaide hold each other's hands and face the audience with smiles on their faces. New friendships and relationships have begun!
