This chapter may seem like filler, but a lot of what's going on happens during Some Things Never Change, and I thought it would just make a good set up for what's to come. I also know that in Frozen II, Kristoff has almost no real point to the story. But after some thought, I decided to have Timmy and Elyssa switch roles. Timmy will be the overprotective one, trying his best to keep Tecna safe at any cost. Elyssa is still a support and helps Tecna into self-acceptance, but she is more of a teammate and helps Tecna uncover the mysteries ahead. So, if you thought the original Electrified lacked TxT, the sequel is sure to make up for it.

Chapter Two: The Notion of Change

As a young adult, Princess Tecna of Zenith had emerged from a traumatizing, isolating childhood due to the events that happened later on that fateful night. However, after discovering that the emotions of love and joy were not to be suppressed, she was able to reverse a cataclysmic electrical storm that she had unleashed upon her kingdom. Now, her people understood why she had to hide herself away all those years and most forgave her for what she'd done. She meant no harm to anybody, and that was the sole basis for her decision to flee. Zenith's citizens understood that all Tecna needed was to accept love and compassion into her life. She now received it with the help of Elyssa, Digit and her new boyfriend, Timmy. It had been a few years since all of this had occurred, and Tecna was now officially crowned Queen of Zenith. She was always the first in line for the throne, but ever since the two sisters' parents died, she knew she had to take up the responsibility.

Elyssa, meanwhile, felt no resentment toward her older sister. In fact, she idolized her for her grace, poise, and sophistication. Elyssa was just happy she could finally have a family to be with, even if that family consisted of mostly friends. While Tecna needed the day to prepare for a festival being held that evening, Elyssa took Digit out for tea in a small downtown café. She returned to their table with her beverage, noticing that the small robotic pixie was staring into space.

"How are your new upgrades working, Digit?" she asked. Her question broke the pixie out of her daze.

"Just wonderful," Digit answered, "Ever since Tecna upgraded my database, I know everything about the Magical Dimension. Its history, its many realms and their culture and customs. Just ask me anything and I can answer. I am truly astounded to experience being sentient thanks to Tecna's magic."

"Oh yes," Elyssa agreed, "I'm also very happy. I now have everything I could ever want, and I wish it could last forever."

"Unfortunately that is highly illogical," Digit informed her, "It's fascinating how things always change over time."

"What do you mean?" Elyssa asked.

"Excuse me for my tangency. One of the new features of my upgrades is to have the ability to obtain knowledge by observation. Of course I was able to do this before, but the scope was limited," Digit explained, "But to return to the subject at hand, I have a question for you? Since you are human and have to think about such things, do you ever concern yourself with the fact that nothing lasts forever?" At this, Elyssa froze, this was exactly what she didn't want to happen, for things to change.

"No, I don't worry about that," Elyssa admitted, "I have you, and I have Tecna again. And she has us and Timmy in her life. The doors to the palace are open and we are living in prosperity. I am assured that Tecna and I will never be alone again."

However, Tecna did in fact have such worries. Yes, she felt at peace, surrounded by loved ones and her adoring people. But as of recently, there had been strange things happening to her. Tecna had been staring out from one of the balconies, lost in her thoughts. She could barely hear one of the palace staff come out to address her.

"Queen Tecna, the festival committee would like your approval now," he said. This caused her to startle and blast a beam of electricity out of her hand.

"I'm so sorry, I'll be right there," she said hastily, "Just give me a moment." The man left her alone again, and she sighed deeply. Suddenly, she felt something from within her mind, something like a mental message. It wasn't verbal, it was as if it was a sound at a frequency only her thoughts could pick up. Tecna froze at that second, unsure of what it was. Then, she shook it off as she looked down at the glistening city before her. She had been getting these mental messages before, and feared that it could mean something was coming. Just like Elyssa, Tecna didn't want anything to change. Unlike her sister, she knew it was inevitable.

"I can't prevent time from passing," Tecna murmured to herself, "but I can make the most of the time that I do have. Now that I am surrounded by people who want the best for me, I won't let them down." With that in mind, Tecna turned back to go inside to continue her preparations for the festival.

Elsewhere in Zenith City, Timmy and Chicko were heading to the most expensive jewelry store in the realm. It had taken months for Timmy to get up the courage to go through with his plan. After the evening's festivities were over and Tecna could relax, he would tell the palace staff that he wanted to be alone with her. Then, after some intimate time together, Timmy would pop the question. Now that he had an idea of how the night would go, all he needed was a ring that encapsulated the power and absolute beauty he believed his beloved represented. He thought she deserved the best, and he would spare no expense.

"I'm going to do it, Chicko," he declared with a deep, yet nervous breath, "I'm going to ask Tecna to marry me. It's been over two years since she has been officially crowned Queen of Zenith, and she needs a king by her side." All the baby chick did in response was give him a doubtful look.

"You think I'm going to blow it, do you?" Timmy asked with an offended shrug. Chicko just nodded in response.

"Some support you are," the ginger-haired young man gave his pet chick a huff. Then, he turned and walked boldly into the jewelry store. The store was lit of with bright lights above the displays of necklaces, watches, bracelets, and every other piece of jewelry Timmy could think of, and some that he couldn't. As he looked around, he took another deep breath. This would be his biggest moment of his life thus far. Aside from the actual proposal, that is.

"I'd like to see your finest engagement rings," he told the merchant. He turned to Timmy and immediately recognized who he was.

"Ah, finally gotten the guts to propose to the Queen, have you?" the merchant asked with a hearty chuckle. After a couple years of living in the kingdom of Zenith, everyone knew Timmy by now. When it was announced that he and Tecna were officially dating, the people were thrilled for their happiness. They patiently awaited the day when Timmy would ask her to marry him. Timmy gave the merchant the most confident smile he could muster as he was shown the large assortment of engagement rings.

"I think I have just what you have in mind," the merchant said, "Something that is as beautiful as the woman who dons it."

"Yes, yes!" Timmy agreed with great enthusiasm, "But Tecna isn't just beautiful. Her powers are unmatched by anything Zenith has even seen. She is a force to be reckoned with and no one should forget that."

"Indeed," the merchant added with a nod of acknowledgment. Then he gestured toward a silver ring that was encrusted with sparkling diamonds surrounding a green gem in the center. Timmy's mouth was left agape as he laid eyes on it. It was everything he thought of Tecna, captured in the magnificence of one piece of jewelry.

"I'll take it!" he shouted with pure astonishment. Then he handing the merchant his card. Moments later, Timmy's entire savings had been spent, and in its place was the most exquisite engagement ring in all the Magical Dimension.

"Ha, I told you I could do it!" Timmy boasted as he sprung the ring in Chicko's field of vision. However, the baby chick still did nothing, giving him the same doubtful expression as before

"Yeah, I know," Timmy sighed, realizing the meaning of Chicko's response, "I haven't actually proposed to Tecna yet, I just have the ring. But that's one step closer, right?" As Timmy began to walk down the bustling streets of Zenith back towards the palace, he carefully put the ring case in his pocket as the baby chick followed close beside him.

To Tecna's great relief after days of painstaking effort, the festival was a resounding success. Everyone in the kingdom was able to attend, and watched a fantastic show of her magic stream across the night sky. There was a grand banquet where everyone in the kingdom received a small metal statue of their own upon personal request. Despite all Tecna's uncertainties, she promised her people that no matter what or if anything happened, they would always have someone to lead them. She assured her citizens that nothing was going to happen, but she was only making this declaration should anything unexpected occur. The people of Zenith knew that Queen Tecna would do anything to keep them safe and well cared for, and her wise judgement gave them comfort.

The rest of the night went on with plenty of merriment, especially between the group of close-knit friends. Elyssa was grateful to have a happy family to come home to, Tecna was comforted by the family around her and the adoration of her people, and Timmy was still mulling over in his head how the moment would go when he would propose. However, change is an ever-mysterious notion.
