Rosie slept in the morning of Nolan's family's thanksgiving get together. She woke up at about ten. Sascha was asleep next to her. She smiled and pet her dog gently.
"Morning boy." She said
Sascha woke up and started to lick her face. Rosie chuckled and gently pushed the dogs face away about a few licks. She looked at her phone.
"I think you probably need to get outside huh?" She said sitting up.
Sascha jumped off the bed and went to her door and waited. Rosie slipped her feet into the slippers that sat next to her bed and grabbed an oversized wool cardigan from the chair in her room. She opened her door and went downstairs Sascha following. Rosie opened the back door and let the dog out before going and starting her breakfast.
Dave was already out of the house. It might have been thanksgiving for the rest of the world but this year the BAU was working the actual day of thanksgiving. Its why their get together was going to be on Sunday.
Rosie sat and ate her breakfast as she was finishing there was a bark from outside and Rosie got up and let Sascha in and went and filled up his food and water bowls. She put her dishes and the dishes that were in the sink in the dishwasher before going upstairs and hoping in the shower.
She did her makeup and got dressed after getting out of the shower. For today she had decided on a dark brown skirt and a light brown sweater with white sleeves and a white collar. She went and brushed through her wavy hair putting it in a half up style. She went to her jewelry box and put on a rose gold watch and a pair of rose gold flower earrings. She looked through her shoes and grabbed a pair of flat black ankle boots and grabbed a purse that matched. Going downstairs and put her purse by the door. She looked at the time. It was just after twelve. Nolan was picking her up at one. She went to the kitchen and let Sascha out to the backyard again.
When Sascha came back inside Rosie pet him all over and gave him a treat. "You're a good boy."
She sat down and read till there was a knock at the door. She went and opened the door. "Hey! Happy Thanksgiving" She said
Nolan smiled. "hey." He said kissing her "Happy thanksgiving."
Rosie kissed him.
Sascha was excitedly jumping around their feet.
Nolan pet him.
"Sascha. You're going to guard the house right?" She said with a smile and Sascha barked. Rosie grabbed a coat from the coat closet and grabbed her purse. She also grabbed a small, wrapped gift from the front table. She had gotten a box of chocolate as a hostess gift for Nolan's parents. She and Nolan left the house and Rosie locked the door behind them. They went out to Nolan's car and started to drive to his place.
"How are you today?" Rosie asked
"Good." He said "You?"
"I'm good." Rosie said
"My sister is excited to see you." Nolan said
"I'm excited too." Rosie said
"Its been really good. Almost like no time has past. She has been coming over almost every weekend and my parents are thrilled. As am I." Nolan said
"I'm so glad." Rosie smiled at him.
Nolan pulled into his driveway and the two went inside.
"Uncle Nolan!" Lily screamed running to him.
Nolan smiled and picked up her up. "Hey Lily."
Lily hugged him.
"Lily. This is my friend Rosie." Nolan said
"Hi." Lily said shyly before burring her face into Nolan.
"She's a little shy." Nolan said
Mrs. Shephard came out "Hi Rosie. Happy Thanksgiving."
"Happy Thanksgiving. Thank you for the invite." Rosie said handing her the gift
"Of course. You are always welcome." Mrs. Shephard said taking the gift and thanking her with a small hug.
They went into the family where Mr. Shephard was sitting with Mia. The tv was on in the background with the football game playing.
Mia got up and gave her a hug. "Nice to see you."
"Nice to see you too. Happy thanksgiving." She said to Mr. Shephard and Mia
They both said it back.
"I take it you have met Lily." Mia said
"I have." Rosie said smiling at the girl
"She is being shy." Nolan said
"She warms up pretty quickly to people." Mia said
They all sat down and talked. Before long Lily had warmed up and had climbed from Nolan's lap into Rosie's.
Rosie smiled and talked to the little girl getting to know her.
A little later Mia and Nolan were called to help her mom in the kitchen and shortly after the rest of them were called to come to the eat.
Mr. Shephard carved the bird and they all sat and ate.
"You're family not doing thanksgiving today?" Mia asked
"No. My dad has a job that requires him to work today. His co-workers are our family, so we are doing the meal on Sunday." Rosie said
Mia smiled. "What does he do?"
"Federal Agent." Rosie said
"He's also an author." Nolan said. "Writes books on serial killers and profiling. Pretty intense stuff"
Rosie looked at him. "You're reading them?"
Nolan nodded "I've read a couple."
"I really need to convince my dad to let me read them." Rosie said, "Especially since I'm pretty sure half the school has read them." She said shaking her head.
"Really think its half the school?" Mr. Shephard asked
"Well. I have seen multiple people with copies of the books around the school." Rosie said
"Was hoping you didn't notice that." Nolan said.
"Oh. I noticed. I also noticed it seems more since the post." Rosie said looking at him.
Nolan nodded.
The subject was changed, and the meal was enjoyed.
When the meal was over Rosie helped with the clean up before everyone sat to watch the football game and talked.
Around six Nolan looked at Rosie. "I can take you home." He said
Rosie smiled and nodded. "Sounds good." She said
They both got up. Rosie said thank you to his parents and said bye to everyone before heading out with Nolan.
"You had a good day?" Nolan asked
"Yes." Rosie said with a smile.
"Lily loves you." Nolan said
"She's a sweetheart." Rosie said, "Your sister is very nice too."
Nolan nodded. "She has always been."
Nolan dropped her off at home. Rosie went inside and let the dog out before going through her evening routine. Her dad came home around ten that night and went to bed early as well knowing that the two of them had a lot to do the next couple days to prepare for their Thanksgiving on Sunday.

Rosie woke up early Sunday morning. Her door was opened and Sascha wasn't in her room. She smiled and figured her dad let the dog out. She stretched abit and checked her phone before getting up slippers and cardigan thrown on before going downstairs.
"Morning." She said
"Morning." Dave said
Dave had breakfast on the table for her. Rosie smiled. "Thank you." She said.
Dave smiled and sat down with her, and both ate. He had already put the turkey in the oven.
Rosie's phone went off and she sighed.
"What's wrong?" Dave asked
"Not sure. Nolan has a family emergency… He cant come." Rosie said. She got up from the table and went and called him. She came back to the table a few minutes later.
"What is it?" Dave asked
"His sister Mia is in the hospital… I guess her ex is abusive and she had been hiding from him I didn't know any of this… but he found her. Nolan is babysitting Lily." Rosie said
Dave nodded. "Is Mia going to be okay? Was the little girl hurt?"
"She should be okay yes. But she's pretty beaten up. And no. Lily was asleep. They don't think she saw or heard anything. I guess a neighbour heard the fighting and called the police." Rosie said
Dave nodded. "If he needs company that's not a four-year-old and is allowed he can still come and bring her."
"I'll let him know." Rosie said. She texted him and a few minutes later she got a response.
"He thinks its best to stay home with her." Rosie said. "He sounded pretty upset. I don't think he wants to meet the rest of the family when he's feeling this way…" Rosie said
Dave nodded. "I get it. But I'm sorry. I know you were looking forward to introducing him to everyone."
"Well. They have all kind of met him but another time." Rosie said
Dave nodded.
"Maybe I'll go see him after." Rosie said
Dave nodded. "Okay."
The two of them finished eating breakfast before the two of them did the prep work for everything they would be serving with the turkey.
Once everything was prepped the both went and got dressed for the day. Rosie decided on a pair of light brown suede skinny pants and white sweater. She curled her hair and did her make up. She was sad but she was going to put a happy face on for everyone else's sake. She grabbed the same jewellery she had worn to Nolan's family's thanksgiving.
She went downstairs and started to take out the good dishes that she knew they would be using. In the process a plate dropped to the floor and smashed. "Shit." Rosie said. "Shit, shit, shit." She put the stack of plates in her hands on the counter and ran and got the broom.
She picked up the big pieces by hand and than swept up the rest of the pieces making sure to get them all. She was glad that her dad was taking his time getting ready. She didn't want him to know she broke a plate. She threw all the pieces into a paper bag before throwing the bag in the garbage putting the broom away and setting the table. She knew there were extra dishes and hoped her dad wouldn't notice.
Dave came down a few minutes later. "Thank you for setting the table." He said
Rosie smiled and nodded abit. "of course."
"You okay?" Dave asked
Rosie nodded quickly. "Yes."
"You sure?" He asked
"Mhm. I'm just thinking about Mia." Rosie said
"I called Mr. Shephard. She is going to be fine." Dave said
"I know. I just. Still worried about her." Rosie said
"I get that." Dave kissed her head. "We can arrange for something to be sent to her room."
Rosie smiled. "Okay."
Dave went into the kitchen to continue with making the food. There was a knock on the door and Rosie went and opened it.
"Hi Uncle Aaron. Hi Jack." She said with a smile letting them in.
Slowly everyone showed up and the celebration started.
"Thought your boyfriend was coming." Penny said
"Yeah. He was supposed to. Family emergency he couldn't come." Rosie said
"Oh." Penny said. "We will see him another time." Penny said with a smile
Rosie nodded. The bottom of her foot was starting to feel like there was a piece of glass in it. She excused herself and went upstairs to her bathroom and checked her foot. Sure, enough there was a small piece of the plate in her foot. She took a pair of tweezers and carefully tried to remove it. Unfortunately breaking it in the process so a piece was not stuck far in her foot. "Shit." She mumbled
Meanwhile downstairs Aaron was removing a small piece from inside Jack's foot after he had stepped on a piece when he went to get some juice.
Dave had gotten a first aid kit. "What is it?"
"Looks like a piece of ceramic." Aaron said, "Came right out." He showed him the piece.
"You drop a dish recently?" Aaron asked
"No." Dave said. "Maybe Rosie did and forgot to tell me."
Dave grabbed the broom and did a full sweep of the kitchen making sure there were no more pieces. He went to dump the dust bin in the garbage when he saw the paper bag and took it out and opened it and sighed.
"What is it?" Aaron asked after sending the boy off to play. Jack went off as if nothing had happened.
"Well. I found a paper bag of pieces from one of my good plates. Clearly from today." Dave said
Aaron nodded.
"Don't think she forgot. Just chose not to tell me…" Dave said
"She break anything before today?" Aaron said
"Not that I'm aware of." Dave said
"Maybe she was worried about a negative reaction. If the Long's were anything like my father was when things got broken. Accidently or not… I learned to hide it too." Aaron said
Dave nodded. "It's a plate. I don't think it was intentional. I'm not angry." Dave said
"No. But doesn't mean she wouldn't worry if in the past it wasn't handled properly." Aaron said.
Dave nodded. "Rosie." He called out
There was no response. Dave went to the family room. "Anyone know where Rosie is?"
"I think I saw her go upstairs." Spencer said
The buzzer on the stove went off the turkey was done.
Dave went to take the turkey out and checked with a thermometer to check that it was properly cooked.
Rosie came downstairs. She was trying to hide the fact that she was limping. She came into the family room. "Your dad was looking for you." Spencer said
Rosie got up and went into the kitchen and everyone noticed she was limping.
"Spencer said you were looking for me." Rosie said
Dave looked up. "You don't need to hide accidents from me," He said, "In fact I'd rather you just tell me so I can help you clean it up."
Rosie tilted her head.
"Jack got a shard of the plate in his foot. He is okay. Uncle Aaron got it out. But if you had told me I could have helped you clear it up." Dave said
Rosie looked down. "I thought I cleared it up well…"
"Sometimes even when we clear very well pieces get left behind. If you had told me I could have made sure everyone had something on their feet to avoid this. I'm not angry. Accidents happen." He said
Rosie looked up at him. "I-I'm not in trouble for the plate breaking?"
"Did you do it on purpose?" Dave asked
"No." Rosie said
"Than no. Your not in trouble." Dave said, "Next time just tell me and I can help you okay?"
Rosie nodded.
"Fortunately, the piece came right out of Jack's foot, and I think he has already forgotten." Dave said
"Uncle Aaron angry with me?" Rosie asked
"No." Aaron said from behind.
Rosie looked up at Aaron.
"I know you didn't mean for it to happen. Jack is fine." Aaron said
Rosie nodded.
"Come on lets serve the food and eat." Dave said.
Everyone helped bring food out to the dining room and sat down and ate. Rosie moved as little as possible to not raise any suspensions, but Spencer had noticed and was watching her closely. He sat next to her and while they were eating he leaned over and whispered. "You hurt your foot?"
Rosie looked up at him.
"Saw you limping." He said
"Oh. Yeah. Just stubbed my toe." She said quietly
Spencer nodded abit. The way she was walking was not favoring her toes.
Rosie's phone went off and she checked quickly.
"Nolan?" Dave asked
Rosie nodded. "Sorry. I know no phones at the table."
"Its okay. Special circumstances." Dave said
"I guess they are worried about Mia's eyesight." Rosie said
"Mia?" Aaron asked
"Nolan's sister. Um. She is in the hospital. She was assaulted last night." Rosie said
"Mia Shephard?" Will asked
Rosie looked up at him confused.
"I was one of the officers on scene last night." Will said
"Ooh." Rosie said
"Didn't realize she was your boyfriend's sister." Will said
"Yeah. Its why he couldn't come today. He is babysitting his niece while their parents are at the hospital." Rosie said
"Father not in the picture?" Penny asked
"Mia's ex. No. He was the one who assaulted her. I guess she was hiding from him, but he found her." Rosie said
Everyone shook their heads.
"Her eyesight?" Dave asked
"I'm guessing she got hit in the eye and she is having trouble seeing and they are worried she wont heal properly." Rosie said
Dave nodded.
Rosie looked at Will. "Have the police found him?"
"Not as far as I know. But we will." Will said
Rosie nodded.
The conversation was changed, and the meal was finished.
As they were finishing Spencer leaned over to Rosie. "I know you didn't stub your toe. You were walking on your toes on your right foot. So. Did you get a piece of ceramic in your foot too?"
Rosie looked up at him surprised.
"Yes. I'm calling you out." He said quietly
Rosie looked down.
"Tell your dad or I will." Spencer said
"I got the piece out. It's just a little sore. I'm fine." She said
"Doesn't matter. Tell him or I will." Spencer said
Rosie sighed.
"Everything okay?" Dave asked
"Yes." Rosie said
Spencer gave her a look.
Rosie said nothing.
"I noticed she was limping. She had a piece of ceramic in her foot as well. She says she got it out, but I don't know with the way she is limping." Spencer said.
Rosie scowled.
Dave raised an eyebrow.
Rosie sunk down into her seat arms crossed.
"Upstairs. Now." Dave said calmly but with a tone that meant business
Rosie sulked but did so. Dave followed a couple minutes later.
"Show me your foot." He said
"Its fine." Rosie said
"I didn't ask you if it was fine." Dave said sternly.
Rosie sighed and did so.
Dave took the bandaid off the spot on her foot. "It looks very irritated. You sure you got all of it out?"
"Yes…" she said
"Well. That's a lie. We are going to the hospital." Dave said
"But we have everyone over." Rosie said
"And they would all agree with me that you need to go to the hospital." Dave said
Rosie sulked. "No."
"I'm not giving you a choice. Lets go." Dave said sternly
"I'll be down in a few minutes." She said
Dave left her room and went downstairs where everyone was tiding up from the meal. "Well. She still has a piece in her foot. Going to have to take her to the hospital."
"Go ahead. We will finish cleaning up." Penny said
Rosie came downstairs. "I got it out." She said
Dave tilted his head.
"I did." She said
"How?" Dave asked
"Does it matter how?" Rosie asked
"It does." Dave said
"I was able to get it out with the tweezers." She said
Dave took her into the other room and took a look at her foot. "You dug it out?!" he was shocked
"With the tweezers." She said
"You have just made this that much worse. Get to the car. Now." He said
"Its out what more do you want?" Rosie asked
"I would like my daughter to not have a gaping wound in her foot because she dug out a piece of ceramic." He said clear he was displeased. "Car. Do -not make me tell you again." He said sternly
Rosie crossed her arms. "No."
"1." He said indicating he was counting to three.
Rosie didn't move
"2" He said anger rising.
Rosie took a breath but didn't move.
"3." He said. He took her arm and lifted her from the couch and swatted her butt hard.
Rosie yelped.
"Car!" He said almost a yell.
Rosie whimpered. He never yelled. He was angry. She was screwed. She did as she was told and went and put her shoes on and headed out. Dave shook his head and followed.
They went to the hospital. It was very busy.
"Great. We are going to be here for hours." Rosie said snippily
They checked her in, and she sat in the waiting room. Dave sat next to her.
"You going to tell Nolan?" Dave asked
"No. He has enough going on right now." Rosie said
"Your choice." He said
"My choice would have been to stay home." Rosie said
"That was not a choice you had. I'm the parent and while I am willing to give you choices in most things when it comes to your health if you cant make the right decisions I will." Dave said
"Its my body." She said
"And I'd like for you to keep all the parts of that body. And what you did today could cause you to get a serious infection and if not treated can lead to losing your foot." He said
Rosie rolled her eyes. "If it got infected I would handle it than."
"How about next time we avoid all that and you just let me take you to the hospital and have them remove it." Dave said, "And don't roll your eyes at me."
Rosie sighed.
"You know even if I let them remove it, still could have gotten infected." Rosie said
"They give antibiotics to avoid that." Dave said
"Great. More medications." She said
"For a couple weeks or so." He said
"Whatever." She said. She leaned her head back against the wall behind her.
"Tired?" He asked
"Very." She said
"How did the plate break by the way?" He asked
"I was taking them out of the cupboard. To many at once I think…" She said
Dave nodded.
"Sorry." She said
"I'm not angry about the plate. It wasn't intentional. It happens." He said.
Rosie nodded.
"I just wish you had told me. All of this could have been avoided." Dave said
"Sorry." She said again softly
Dave put an arm around her shoulder and pulled her in close.
Rosie leaned her head on his shoulder.
"Am I in trouble for anything else?" She asked
"Don't argue with the doctors. Do what your told and no." Dave said
"Come on now. You know me better than that." She said with a smirk.
Dave smiled and shook his head. "Behave." He said, "Or you will be in trouble." He said sternly
"Understood." She said
Nolan's parents had come home from the hospital and taken over with Lily. Nolan decided to take his turn to go see his sister. He was there for a couple hours before she had to be taken for more testing. Nolan went to get some coffee. He walked by the waiting room and saw Rosie and her dad there.
"Rose." He said looking concerned
Rosie looked up. "Noel. What are you doing here?"
"I'm here visiting my sister. She was just taken for testing. I was going to get coffee." Nolan said
"Oh." Rosie said
"Your turn." Nolan said
"I. Um. Got a piece of a broken plate in my foot." Rosie said
Nolan nodded. "Having it removed?"
"Not exactly." She said
"Oh?" Nolan asked
"You don't want to know." She said
"Yes. I do." Nolan said
Rosie bit her lip and looked down.
Nolan sat on her other side and took her hands. "You think I'm going to be angry?"
"Yeah…" Rosie said
"I'm worried about you. Not telling me. Makes me think you are seriously sick or injured." Nolan said
Rosie took a breath. "I got a piece of the plate in my foot. I tried to take it out it broke. I didn't want to have to come to the hospital so… I figured out how to get it out myself. He…" She said indication to her dad. "Is now worried its going to get infected."
"How did you get it out?" Nolan asked
"I um…" she said looking down
"She dug it out with tweezers." Dave said.
"Yikes. Why?" Nolan asked
"I hate the hospital. Okay!" she got up and limped out of the waiting room and went outside.
Nolan looked at Dave.
"Go. I'll come get her if she is called in." Dave said
Nolan followed her and found her sitting outside sobbing into her hands.
He sat next to her and put his arms around her. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to upset you."
Rosie buried her face into him and sobbed. Once she was calm Nolan took a breath. "A lot of people hate the hospital, but I feel like there is a story for why you hate it."
Rosie took a breath. "I don't want to talk about it."
Nolan nodded. "Okay. I don't want to force you to talk about it."
"I'm sorry Nolan. I know you have a lot going on right now." Rosie said
"Doesn't mean that I cant be here for you." He said
"How is your sister?" She asked
"About the same. She is getting more tests done on her eye." Nolan said
"Do you know if they got her ex yet?" Rosie asked
"Yeah. They found him." Nolan said his voice indicating there was a story.
"Where?" Rosie asked looking at him.
"Off the lookout. He jumped." Nolan said
Rosie's jaw dropped. "He committed suicide?"
"Yeah. He left a letter for my sister and Lily." Nolan said
"Have you read them?" Rosie asked
"My sister asked me to read the one that was for her to her. There were things about him. He had been in the military. He got brain damage. It made him angry and violent. In one of his moments of clarity he chose to leave when he realized what he was doing. He went to get help, but he was in and out of reality and I guess he thought she had made him leave and he manipulated her to telling him where she was acting like he was better when he wasn't. After he assaulted her he realized what he had done and couldn't live with himself anymore. So, he took his life." Nolan said.
Rosie put her arms around him and held him.
Nolan smiled abit. "I didn't really know him. I feel bad for my sister and Lily. He was sick because he fought to protect our country."
"I get that. It makes me angry. That our people are sent to war, and they come back so fucked up and nothing or very little is done to help them." Rosie said
"Me too." Nolan said
Rosie nodded. "Anything I can do to help you feel better?"
Nolan nodded. "You can go inside and have your foot taken care of."
Rosie sighed.
"If you don't its going to end up worse." Nolan said
Rosie nodded. They both got up and went inside.
"Go. Check on your sister." Rosie said
"Only if you promise to text me an update." Nolan said
"Promise." Rosie said
Nolan kissed her cheek and left her in the waiting room with her dad.
Rosie sat down. "Sorry."
"You don't need to apologize for your feelings." Dave said
"Take it I wasn't called in." Rosie said looking around the emptier waiting room
"Not yet no." Dave said
Rosie nodded. She headed her head on his shoulder again and closed her eyes.
About an hour later a nurse came out. "Rosie Rossi." She said
Rosie and Dave got up and they were taking to an exam room. She sat on the bed and took her shoe off and laid down.
Dave sat in one of the chairs in the room.
A short while later the doctor came in and introduced herself. "You got a piece of something in your foot?"
"Yeah. Ceramic from a plate." Rosie said. "I tried to take it out, but it broke."
"And because she didn't think things through she thought that digging into her foot to remove it would negate the need for the hospital." Dave said
"Ah." The doctor said. "Well lets take a look." She said sitting down in a rolling chair and taking a look at the foot. "Well, it looked pretty irritated and it's a pretty big hole. "We will have to do x-rays to make sure you got it all. And than I will fix up the hole and get you some antibiotics." She said "Also should get some bloodwork."
Rosie sighed. "Okay."
"Hang tight. Transport will be here to take you to x-rays." Doctor said before leaving the room.
She was taken into x-ray shortly after and was brought back to the room after. She was asleep.
"She had to be given a sedative." The doctor said coming into the room behind.
"Why?" Dave asked
"She was having a panic attack in x-ray." The doctor said
"That happened last time she was in x-ray." Dave said
"Any bad experiences in x-rays before?" The doctor asked
"Not sure. She wasn't with me from age two to thirteen." Dave said
The doctor nodded. She looked at the x-rays "She got it all out. Really stupid way to do it but she did."
"Oh. I don't disagree." Dave said
The doctor sat down in the rolling chair and started to stich up her foot.
"I'm not phycologist. But the fact that she went through this to avoid the hospital…" The doctor said
Dave nodded "I will be seeing if I can figure out what the story is. She was taken from me when she was two and lived with another family for the next eleven years. There was abuse. I know she was in the hospital for eating disorder treatment at one point. But she never told me anything traumatic happened there." Dave said
"She in therapy?" The doctor asked
"Yes." Dave said
Someone came in and gave the doctor a folder with blood test results.
The doctor looked at it when she was done stitching up Rosie's foot.
"Hm." She said
"Problem?" Dave asked
"Her iron and calcium levels are very low." The doctor said
"She takes supplements for both of those.." Dave said
Rosie sighed abit.
Dave looked at her. "You have been taking them. Right?"
Rosie didn't say anything.
"Rose." He said.
"What?" She asked
"You were asked a question." He said
"Well do you want me to lie?" Rosie asked
"So that means you haven't been taking them. Why not?" He asked
"Don't want to." She said
"That's not a very good reason." The doctor said
Rosie didn't say anything.
"The rest of her numbers okay?" Dave asked
"Some are a little off but probably just due to the stress of the situation." The doctor said
The doctor wrote up a prescription for the antibiotic. And handed it to Rosie
"You need to take your supplements. Don't stop unless a doctor tells your to. You need them for a reason." The doctor said
Rosie nodded abit.
"And take it easy on your foot. Don't do something like that again." She said
Rosie nodded.
The doctor left and a nurse came in to start discharge. When she was released the two of them went out.
She texted Nolan. 'I'm okay. X-ray showed nothing left behind. Doctor stitched it and gave me a script for an antibiotic. Going home now.' She was leaving out some information yes, but she didn't want to have to type out the long explanation right now. She would tell him at a later day in person.
When they got home from the pharmacy they went inside, and the house had been completely picked up and everyone had left.
Dave sent a text to the team. 'Thank you for cleaning up. Rosie is okay. X-ray to ensure nothing was left. Stitched up her foot and gave her some antibiotics. Found out because of bloodwork that she hasn't been taking her supplements.'
Rosie went to go upstairs.
"Rosie. Go get ready for bed and I will be up in half an hour to talk." He said
"Okay." She said softly before going and showering and getting ready for bed.
Dave came up at the half hour mark and knocked.
"Yes. Come in." She said
Dave went in.
Rosie was sitting on her bed scrolling through her phone. She put her phone down and Dave sat on the end of her bed.
"When did you stop taking your iron and calcium?" Dave asked
Rosie let out a breath. "Week ago." she said
"What made you think you didn't need them anymore?" Dave asked
"I just figured. I'm eating well. Making sure I'm eating food with lots of calcium and iron. I just though it would have balanced it self out." She said. "I'm sorry. Wont happen again."
Dave nodded. "Glad to hear it. I'm not going to lecture about it this time. But next time I will. And I will be making sure you are taking them again until I'm sure you wont stop again. Have you been taking your ADHD meds still?" He asked
"Yes." Rosie said. "Never stopped those."
"Okay. Good." Dave said.
"I'm sorry I've disappointed you dad. I just thought I could fix the issue without the pills." She said
Dave wrapped her in a hug and kissed the top of her head. "I understand that. Its forgiven."
Rosie hugged him
When the hug broke Dave looked at her. "Take your antibiotic?"
"Yes." She said pointing to the bottle of pills and water bottle on her night table.
Dave nodded. "Good girl."
Rosie smiled abit.
"Well. Its late. Get some sleep." Dave said getting up and going to his own room and heading to bed himself.
