Ad I said in the beginning, I had to make a few changes so that the timeline makes sense. If you are just now coming in after so long, it's best to read from the beginning since I have made some changes to character roles as well.

Chapter Five: The Journey to Magix

Once the Owl reached the outer stretches of Zenith's atmosphere, the crew could clearly see the vastness of stars in the sky. Tecna and Elyssa had no idea that beyond their planet, there was a whole new multitude of worlds to discover. Digit took the liberty of collecting all kinds of information about all the realms of the Magical Dimension.

"It says here that the Magical Dimension was created eons ago by the Great Dragon, and it is inextinguishable and the most powerful source of magic in history. The royal family of Domino are said to possess the power of the Dragon's Flame. However, the realm has been without rule since the Domino Royal Family are one of many trapped in Magix' Enchanted Forest," the robotic pixie read the information from her holographic screen that appeared from her tiny hand to the two sisters. Timmy listened in as he drove the spacecraft.

"Does it say who possesses the Dragon's Flame now?" Elyssa asked.

"Princess Bloom is meant to be the next heir to Domino," Digit informed them, "But she, along with other members of royalty and guardians of the realms cannot take their place unless they are freed."

"Well," Tecna interjected, "that makes my mission even more critical. I need to know what must be done in order to free those fairies."

"I also found that the Royal Family of Solaria had been trapped there too. Princess Stella is the current Fairy of the Sun and Moon."

"Any other fairies that are trapped in the Enchanted Forest?" Elyssa asked Digit.

"The guardian fairies of Lynphea and Melody, Flora and Musa, respectively." The robotic pixie answered her.

"Great work, Digit," Tecna said, "Now we know exactly what to expect once we reach Magix. Hopefully, we'll be able to get more data once we meet these fairies."

A while later, Elyssa and Digit had fallen asleep in the back of the Owl. Meanwhile, Tecna was assisting Timmy with driving the ship. Now that the couple was alone, Timmy still wished he could propose, since now would've been the perfect opportunity. However, he knew now that Tecna had more pressing matters to attend to.

"Tecna," He began, "there's something I've been meaning to ask you, but-"

"Not right now, Timmy," she interrupted him, not meaning to sound rude or abrupt, "I'm sorry, I just…"

"I understand," he assured her, "Listen, I may only know a little about what's going on, but no matter what you have to do, I want you to know that I'll make sure to be by your side through every leg of your journey. I also want you to be safe, I don't want to smother you but I also can't stand to see you be hurt. That's what a partner does. I'm not just your boyfriend, I want to be your partner. I want to support you in every decision you make on this mission, so I hope that you'll remember that."

"Thank you, Timmy, I truly appreciate that," Tecna said, "I know I haven't been… the most affectionate girlfriend, but this whole 'expressing emotions freely' thing is still new to me. Please know that it's not you that's keeping us distant…, it's me."

"Take as much time as you need. When you're ready, I'll be waiting for you," Timmy continued to assure her.

"Thank you again, Timmy," Tecna said with a deep sigh as she kissed him sweetly. Suddenly, she heard it again, the mental messages that she had been receiving from the trapped fairies.

"Timmy wait," she said hastily, "The mental messages are coming back to me."

"Just in time, too," he told her, "We're reaching Magix' atmosphere." With the abrupt stop of the spacecraft, the movement was enough to wake Elyssa and Digit from their nap. As Timmy continued to steer the Owl closer into the atmosphere of the realm, they began to hit a major amount of turbulence. Timmy tried to keep the ship steady as the sisters buckled in, with Digit safely on Tecna's shoulder.

"Hold on!" he yelled over the high force winds pulling them down, "We're going to crash!" Just as expected, the Owl crashed in a clearing. Once the ship had stopped moving, everyone unbuckled their belts and departed from the ship.

"Aw man, that's the second time I go on a mission and my vehicle is totaled," Timmy said with a deep, frustrated sigh as he realized just how much damage was done. There was a huge hole in the side of the spacecraft and one of the engines was completely bent out of shape to the point where Timmy knew it wasn't going to start unless some major work was done.

"You forget that your girlfriend has technology powers," Tecna reminded him. She was slightly poking fun while knowing how important his vehicles were to him.

"I love you too, Tec," Timmy replied with a slight chuckle. While Timmy made a checklist of the damages that needed to be fixed on the Owl, the two sisters wondered on to look at their surroundings.

"So this must be Magix' Enchanted Forest," Elyssa said as she let out a gasp of astonishment, "It's magnificent!" As they all began to explore the trees and lush green foliage within the forest, Tecna froze in her tracks again.

"Portal… is unstable… must be stopped," the words were almost incoherent, hidden within the high frequency mental sound.

"What portal?" Tecna asked aloud, not able to put the pieces together.

"What is it, Tecna? Are you getting another mental message?" Elyssa asked her sister.

"Yes. It said something about a portal," Tecna said, "The portal is unstable and it must be stopped, but the message didn't tell me where the portal is located or how to stop it. It didn't even tell me what would happen if the portal wasn't stabilized."

"Acadia did say that the Magical Dimension would cease to exist if we didn't succeed in this mission in time," Elyssa reminded her, "Maybe that's what she was talking about. Maybe the portal will cause destruction to the entire Magical Dimension."

"What if…," Tecna began, "I could send a mental message back to the source of the messages that have been sent to me. That way I can figure out where they're coming from." Elyssa agreed with a silent nod. Tecna placed her hands on her forehead, concentrating as hard as she could.

"Who are you?" She asked internally. She continued sending this short message as she and Elyssa walked back to the Owl where Timmy and Digit were.

"What is it?" Timmy asked them as they approached. He noticed that Tecna was holding her head again. The initial reaction that Tecna first had to the mental messages was painful. It was hard for him to forget that she was getting used to them, and even attempting to master the skill herself.

"It's okay, Timmy," Elyssa reassured him, "Tecna's trying to communicate with the one who sent her these mental messages in the first place. Hopefully then she can get more straightforward answers."

"Who are you?" Tecna asked again within her mind, using her powers to send the message like a wireless network. Suddenly, they were all knocked back with a deafening blast of sound. The waves of sound continued, it was the same humming that Tecna was hearing this whole time. Only this time, everyone could hear it.

"Is this what you had to deal with this entire time?" Elyssa shouted over the blast. They all tried to get back on their feet without success.

"Yes!" Tecna yelled back. Then, she jumped up and landed on her feet, "Fire Wall!" It amazed her observers that she was able to withstand the force with her green shield, her feet firmly on the ground without losing momentum. All of the sound was being shot back in the direction that it came from. Without warning, the sound suddenly began to surround Tecna instead of aiming for her. She stopped, buckling to her knees and clasping her head to try and block out the deafening hum.

"Let Tecna go!" Timmy demanded. Then, he pulled out his laser gun and aimed for the barrier.

"No, wait!" Digit warned him, "Those powers belong to Musa, Guardian Fairy of Melody. If you display any intentions of harm, it will be harder to gain her trust."

Within the barrier, Tecna tried to force herself not to close her eyes through her pain. Suddenly, she could see visions of the fairies in the forest attacking Zenithian soldiers. She heard the voice of the lieutenant of Zenith's royal guard call to a younger version of her father. Then, she know what she had to do.

"Whoever you are, I mean you no harm!" she assured the source of the sound, "I want to make things right, I want to know more! I am Queen Tecna of Zenith! I have ventured from my home realm to follow your call! Reveal yourself to me, so I can reveal myself to you!" With Tecna's final words, the barrier broke and released her.

"Tecna!" Timmy was the first to run for her and wrapped his arms around her tightly, "Hey Tecna, are you okay?"

"I'm fine, Timmy," she responded as she looked up at him briefly. Just then, a bright pink light shone in front of the group. From that light emerged a fairy. She had light skin, sharp blue eyes and dark blue-black flowing hair. Her hair was tied in long pigtails by pink roses, and she wore a small gold tiara. Her outfit consisted of a magenta, pale pink and yellow tube top with flowing yellow fabric hanging from the front of it and a puffy skirt of red and magenta with the same flowing fabric. Her pale legs were laced with elegant yellow barefoot sandals that reached her calves. Her wings were are yellow with bright purple edges and purple gems accenting them.

"Do you swear you say you are who you really are?" the fairy asked in a slightly harsh tone.

"Yes. I understand your hostility and wish to hear your perspective," Tecna continued to reassure her, "I am here to right my peoples' past wrongs and bring peace to all the realms of the Magical Dimension. Tell me how I can do that."

"My name is Musa, Guardian Fairy of Melody," the fairy finally introduced herself, "I was the one who sent those mental messages to you. I had no idea who I was sending them to, if anyone could hear us. I had to prove you weren't here to do us any more harm then what has already been caused."

"Musa of Melody, greetings," Digit acknowledged her, bowing gracefully in mid-air.

"Fascinating, your powers have the ability to grant sentience to robotics," Musa asked.

"Yes, Digit was my first creation once I uncovered my powers," Tecna told her," It was… something I can't live through again and I hope I never will. But back to the matter at hand, you say the you are the Guardian Fairy of Melody, and yet I assume you've been trapped here since birth. You must be the descendant of the original Melodian fairy who visited during the attack."

"Yes, My grandfather was involved in the attack on Zenith. The grandparents of the current fairies that reside here were the true victims of the battle and cast the spell to protect this land. My hope is that we can return to our realms one day," Musa explained.

"Did he tell you anything about the Prince of Zenith, Electronio?" Tecna continued to inquire.

"No, but he does remember a woman who was great friends with my mother," Musa answered, "She and my mother sang beautifully while my father played piano."

"So I take it this woman is from Melody too?" Elyssa interjected. She had finally caught up with the other two girls as they conversed.
