I actually love how I merged the lore of Frozen with the consequences of the Omega Portal being opened. I actually had a hard time figuring out how Tecna and Elyssa's grandfather would initiate the rest of the realms to be suspicious of him. I think it ties in to the reason Tecna has powers and is the one to fulfill the prophecy. Their grandfather approached things too logically and was too calculating. Tecna wanted to understand the Magixians' point of view and learn about them and allow them to learn about her.

Chapter Nine: The Time of Truth

It only took Timmy seconds to process what had just happened. When he did, he fell to his knees and beat the ground with his fists. "No, no!" He yelled over and over.

Meanwhile, Elyssa stood completely silent. She was in too much shock. She had finally connected with her sister after a childhood of separation. And now Tecna had walked alone right to her demise, and there wasn't anything anyone could do to help her now. Elyssa swallowed hard, hoping that Tecna would make it out alive from whatever she had to do. She was terrified that she would never see her older sister again, but now she had no choice but to accept that Tecna had to continue her journey by herself.

Once Elyssa gained her composure for the moment, she turned and walked over to Timmy. She placed a hand on his shoulder in an attempt to bring him out of his heated rage. However, he whirled around and tore himself away from her.

"Timmy, stop," Elyssa heaved a sigh.

"No, I told Tecna that I would support her in her journey but I must be the worst boyfriend in the Magical Dimension to just let her walk-!" Timmy began, still shouting with fury. He was mad at himself for not doing more to stop Tecna.

"If that's the case, then consider me the worst sister in the Magical Dimension too," Elyssa said, merely as sarcasm, "Listen, Timmy. I am just as terrified as you are that we might as well have lost Tecna. After all these years of being so close and yet completely separated, I finally get to know my older sister. And you have fallen madly in love with her from the moment you laid eyes on her. We love Tecna very much, and she loves us. And with that love comes trust. If Tecna is to fulfill her destiny, she has to do it alone."

"She appointed you the new Queen of Zenith!" Timmy protested, "She said that because she knows there's a chance she will die! And you're telling me you're just going to let that happen!"

"No, I'm not," Elyssa told him firmly "She made that decision to prepare for the worst. She was right that the people of Andros will only let her get close to the portal. Her and her alone. We just have to do is trust that she will find a way back to us."

Timmy balled his hands into fists at how hard it was, this was exactly what Helia was preparing him for. A test of his courageousness to match that of his lover. He breathed heavily and whispered, "Please be okay Tec…, please."

The transportation portal emerged in front of the Andros Royal Palace. As Tecna stepped out, she was greeted by Princess Aisha herself. She too was in a fairy form that had a similar aesthetic to the others.

Her wavy brown-red hair reached her knees and had streaks of a paler red. The hair on her forehead was braided around a cyan tiara with a pink pearl in the center. Some of her hair flowed into pigtails while the rest of her hair was let loose. She had a dark complexion that was native to the people of Andros, sea blue eyes with yellow eye shadow, and full pale pink lips. Her outfit was a cyan colored, frilly strapless top with magenta and yellow triangles lining the top of it. Her skirt matched the top with magenta and yellow stripes wrapping around her waist and green frills. Her gloves were a banana yellow color. Her wings were a dark pinkish red in color, and outlined with lime green. They were decorated with more pink pearls and accented with the same yellow and magenta as her attire. On her feet were the same barefoot sandals as the other fairies, a darker cyan color, connected by darker magenta flower-shaped decorations.

"Greetings, Queen Tecna of Zenith," Aisha began, "We have waited quite some time for you." Tecna knew what had to be done, but first she had some questions for the Royal Family of Andros.

"Why did your army kill my parents?" she asked abruptly.

"I bag your pardon?" Aisha responded. The Andros Princess was taken aback by Tecna's quick accusations.

"My parents set out for Andros five years ago to seek answers about my powers!" Tecna shot back, "Their last message ended with a gigantic explosion. Your attacks bombarded their ship and they were killed!" Tecna could feel the tears prick the corners of her eyes. She still blamed herself for the reason her parents left in the first place, but she thought that perhaps they would've returned if the Androsian army had ceased.

"Queen Tecna…," Princess Aisha gasped in horror, "I am so… very sorry. Our army had no intention to hurt anyone who tried to reach the Omega Portal. We were only trying to stop them from going any further. My parents and I know about the prophecy that will restore the balance of forces in the Magical Dimension. We wanted you to know what to do, one way or another. What we didn't want, more than anything, was for you to loose your parents. If they sought answers through the vortex, they would surely be killed by the powerful force afterward. We wanted them to seek those answers another way."

"My mother was too reckless," Tecna said, now in silent sobs, "She wanted to keep going. She wanted to find a way to convince your family to let them go into the portal." At the sight of Tecna crying, Aisha was awestruck.

"I had no idea that a Zenithian would shed a tear," she admitted.

"It's true," Tecna told her without hesitation, "There are plenty of misconceptions about our people. We do have the capacity to experience emotion, we just don't express it as freely as others. I'm sorry I acted so irrationally and disrespectfully towards you, Princess Aisha. I have always been taught to show the upmost decorum towards fellow members of royal society."

"It's no trouble at all, actually," Aisha assured her, "You have shown me a new side to the people of Zenith. I have come to an understanding that you are no different than I. And so, I know for myself that the prophecy is true. It is you who can close the portal and restore the Magical Dimension."

"So, let's not waste any more time," Tecna pressed. So, Princess Aisha teleported them both to the island in which the Omega Portal was located. As they reappeared, Tecna stared right at it in wonder and awe. There it was, the portal from the story her mother told her all those years ago. Said to hold the answers to every event, past, present and future.

"The Omega Dimension is supposed to keep the universe's most hardened criminals captive in blocks of ice," Aisha explained, "But ever since the portal was breached generations ago, the ice prisons have melted and the convicts have either devised a plan to escape through the breached portal or formed gangs to claim territory. Our realm hasn't been safe for so long, I've never known differently throughout my entire life. The waters on Andros use to be crystal clear and a vibrant blue. Now they are murky and stagnant and the mermaids residing in the underwater kingdom are too frightened to surface."

Tecna looked around to observe just what Princess Aisha was describing. She was right about the water. Everything was still and there was no life anywhere. And Flora had been right about the fact that the convicts of Omega had indeed escaped and wreaked havoc on the realm of Andros. Tecna turned back towards the portal after reflecting on her surroundings. Bolts of lightning spat from the vortex along with the strong swirling winds. Something instinctively told her that time was drawing to a close. Tecna boldly walked toward the vortex, only to scan it with her powers. Within seconds, the results came back and she formed a holographic screen in her palm with her magic.

"The Counsel of Elders was right," Tecna informed Aisha hastily, "If the portal isn't closed now, it will implode. That will set off a catastrophic chain of destruction, a black whole sucking in any celestial body it comes in contact with. Starting with Andros."

"The entire Magical Dimension will fall apart!" Aisha cried out.

"No, it'll no longer exist," Tecna corrected, "Just as Arcadia said." Then, the Queen of Zenith took a deep breath, and without any reluctance, she said, "I can do this!"

Then, she walked towards the portal again and reached her hand out to touch the vortex. Suddenly, she was pulled in and began to hover in the center for moments before the swirling winds began to form visions. Shapes began to get more distinct and changed into faces and people. It appeared as though Tecna was witnessing the events that led up to the Magixians casting the spell over the Enchanted Forest.

She watched while the group of people from all over the Magical Dimension gathered around. A younger version of her father watched from a distance as his father and the representatives of the other realms discussed the treaty. Tecna could hear the crowd of people mumbling while they watched the exchange. She only needed to hear the tone of the crowd's remarks to figure out why they had doubts about Zenith. Every movement the King of Zenith made, every word he spoke, it all gave them the impression of being calculative. It seemed too scripted, but what may be recognized as formality in Zenith might come across as suspicious in the rest of the Magical Dimension.

Tecna had seen the way everyone else in the Magical Dimension united. When she finally gained Princesses' Bloom and Stella's trust, they welcomed her with open arms. The Magixians shared a meal with her and her family, they enthused her with their knowledge, and Tecna knew she had made some new friends. She proved to them that it is possible to make a logical choice without it being cold and unfeeling. Tecna already knew from multiple reminders that her ability to balance logic and compassion was why she was granted the opportunity to see these events.

Tecna's grandfather wasn't demonstrating any of that. He wasn't speaking to their sense of compassion like she had.

"Now that we have discussed the conditions of the treaty and come to an agreement," Tecna's grandfather was saying, "Each of us must sign it in order to unite our people."

"Our formal conferences lack empathy," Tecna realized, "The other realms were suspicious of our royal family because we didn't approach it as it should be, a unity of the people. This should've been a time spent celebrating, not discussing agreements. It's no wonder the rest of the realms felt threatened, especially if we brought along our army. I have come to understand the descendants of the realms, and they have come to understand me. What is needed is compassion as well as the desire to learn different perspectives."

As this revelation set in, another blinding light of a white-purple began to engulf Tecna. She gasped in astonishment as something truly remarkable occurred.
