They landed a few hours later and everyone got off. Rosie sat in the baggage claims area and closed her eyes.

Everyone got bags and put them all on a bag cart. Dave went over to Rosie. "Time to go." He said

Rosie got up and went with him and the rest of the group and they all went out to their cars. Derek helped Dave get their bags in Dave's car since Rosie was pretty much out of commission.

"Get in the car and rest." Dave told Rosie when she tried to help.

Rosie did as she was told. But took out her phone and turned it on. While they were in London she had kept it off since it wouldn't have worked there anyways. She had used her computer to connect with and talk to friends when she had the time.

Her phone took a few minutes to load in the notifications and she saw a few missed texts. From Lexi.

'I cant deal with it anymore. I need it to stop. I don't know how to make it stop. I cant lose Paige… She is the only friend I have…' It said. That was sent a few days before and Rosie's heart stopped.

She quickly tried calling Lexi, but the phone went straight to voice mail. She got out of the car.

"Dad! I got a text from Lexi a few days ago I obviously didn't see it till now. I think she might be thinking of committing suicide. I tried calling her, but it went straight to voice mail. What do I do?" She asked in tears showing him the text.

"Okay. Breathe." Dave said. "Call her mom."

Rosie took a breath and did so.

"Hello?" Mrs. Bender said.

"Hi Mrs. Bender. Its Rosie, Lexi sent me a text a few days ago I didn't get it till now since I was out of the country and my phone didn't work. I think she's in danger of killing herself." Rosie said her voice shaky

Mrs. Bender got up from where she was sitting and went to her daughters room.

"Why would she do that?" Mrs. Bender asked

Rosie took a breath. "She has a secret… She hasn't done anything wrong. But she's scared to tell anyone for fear of repercussions." Tears streaming

"How do you know this? I didn't think you two talked much anymore." Mrs. Bender said

"She has had this secret for a really long time. I have known for a really long time. I'm sorry. I should have told you. I just. Lexi didn't want to. And I didn't know what to do. But I cant keep it a secret. Regardless of what has happened. I love Lexi. She will always be my sister." Rosie said

Mrs. Bender opened Lexi's door, but she wasn't there, and her window was opened, and screen gone. "Okay. She's left through her window. Where would she go?" she was trying to stay calm, but she was worried about her daughter. Something had been up with her for a few days

"The look out." Rosie said.

"Okay. What's the secret?" Mrs. Bender asked

"Stan Lowrey. Has been…. At sleepovers." Rosie said not being able to say the words.

"What?" Mrs. Bender asked almost breathless

"I thought he had stopped. She told me he wasn't doing it anymore. But the text she sent me I think that was a lie. She doesn't want to lose Paige… But she cant take it anymore." Rosie said

"Sweetie. I need you to tell me exactly what he did." Mrs. Bender said

Rosie to a deep breath trying everything not to break down. "He has been molesting and raping her since the first sleepover there."

"Are you sure?" Mrs. Bender asked in tears.

"Yes. Because I saw it…" Rosie said. "I'm so sorry Mrs. Bender. I should have told you." She said

"Its okay sweetie. This isn't your fault. You and Lexi and Paige are the children. This is on Stan. Not you. Okay? I don't blame you." Mrs. Bender said

"Okay." Rosie said voice cracking. Dave had a hand on her shoulder.

"Sweetie. Did he ever touch you?" Mrs. Bender asked

"No. He told Lexi that it was because she was special. That she was better than me. And that I wasn't his type." Rosie said.

"Okay. Thank you for telling me sweetheart." Mrs. Bender said, "I'll make sure you know when she's found."

"Okay. Thank you." Rosie said

The phone call ended, and she buried her face in her dad and sobbed.

Derek was already on the phone with Rocklin PD. Telling them to get to the look out that there was a teenager likely there going to jump telling them who it was.

Dave held his daughter.

Rosie sobbed into her dad. He had seen her upset before and really hurting but this was different. He could tell he felt like she had betrayed her friend despite having done the right thing. Derek could see it too. He took a breath and looked at Dave. Dave knew what he was thinking he nodded to Derek.

"Hey bubbles. Can you look at me for a minute?" Derek asked he had given her that nickname at her last birthday when she was blowing bubbles with Jack and Henry.

Rosie smiled abit at the nickname and took a breath to calm herself some and turned to Derek.

Derek bend down enough to be at eye contact with her.

"When I was a kid. I was molested by someone who was supposed to protect me. I know someone had to know. I wasn't his first and I wasn't his last victim. I wish someone had spoken up for me. Someone had told my mom. Told the police. You did the right thing. I cant promise Lexi wont be upset with you right now. But she will thank you. You did the right thing." Derek told her

Rosie looked at him and listened nodding abit and wiping away tears.

"You did the right thing." Derek reiterated.

"Okay." She said softly. "Now I think its time for you to go home and get some sleep." Derek said

Rosie nodded.

"Come on bambina." Dave said

Rosie got back in the car. Dave looked at Derek. "Thank you."

Derek nodded.

"You're alright?" Dave asked the younger man

"Yes." Derek said. "I'll let you know when I hear back from Rocklin PD."

"Okay thanks." Dave said

He got into the drivers side and started to drive home.

"This is what that code word in the text with Lexi was about?" Dave asked

Rosie nodded. "I couldn't tell you."

"I get you wanted to protect Lexi." Dave said

"I thought it had stopped. She told me that it wasn't happening anymore." Rosie said

Dave nodded. "I understand. I'm not upset with you. I'm proud of you, I know how hard that must have been for you."

"Mrs. Bender talked to me like she used to…" Rosie said

"You mean before things came to light?" Dave asked

Rosie nodded.

Dave smiled. They pulled in at home.

"I'm going to go shower and try and rest." Rosie said

"Okay. Can you pull out any dirty clothes before you do. I want to start laundry soon." He said

"Sure." She said.

They both grabbed their bags and went inside. Rosie went and emptied her bags and put laundry in her basket outside her bedroom door. She texted Nolan.

'I'm home. Caught some virus or something. I'm showering and taking a nap. Miss you.' She sent him before going and taking a shower. Her phone started to ring when she was half way through. She jumped out and answered it seeing it was Mrs. Bender's number

"Hi. Have you found her?" Rosie asked

"Yes." Mrs. Bender said

"Is she okay?" Rosie asked

"Police got there. Just in time to stop her. They grabbed her just as she was jumping…" Mrs. Bender said

Rosie gasped as tears formed in her eyes.

"You saved her life. Thank you Rosie." Mrs. Bender said her voice shaking. "She is in the hospital. She's going to get the help she needs. And the police and Mr. Bender and I are going to make sure Stan gets the justice he deserves."

"I'm glad she's okay. Tell her I love her. And if she has access to her phone she can call or text me. If that's okay…" Rosie said sinking to the ground.

"I'm starting to see you were the better friend to her than Paige ever was. I should never have had her cut off contact with you. She will be allowed to talk to you again." Mrs. Bender said

"Thank you." Rosie said grabbing her robe from the counter and putting it on.

"The next time you're in the area. Come see her." Mrs. Bender said

Rosie took a breath. "I will. Thank you."

"Does your dad know about any of this?" Mrs. Bender asked

"When I called you he was there. I told him about the text that Lexi had sent me. He told me to call you and tell you." Rosie said.

"Okay. You'll tell him about the outcome?" Mrs. Bender asked

"Yes." Rosie said

They said bye and hung up. She texted Lexi

'Please know that I did what I had to, I love you and when you are ready. You can call or text me.'

Rosie sat on the floor of her bathroom and broke down sobbing. Dave heard her sobbing and went and knocked on her bathroom door. He heard the shower still running.

"You can come in." Rosie sobbed out.

Dave went inside and went and turned off the shower before going and sitting by her and wrapping his arms around her. He saw the phone in her hands. "Did you hear from Lexi?"

Rosie shook her head "Mrs. Bender. Lexi. Is alive. Um. The police got there right in time. They grabbed her before… She was basically jumping. She is at the hospital getting the help she needs."

Dave let out a breath. "That's good."

Rosie nodded. "But if I didn't see that text when I did."

"Rosie. Things happen the way they do for a reason. You were supposed to be who helped save her. This is how it was supposed to happen. Lexi is getting help." Dave said

Rosie nodded.

Dave kissed her head.

"I can go see her when I'm in California again. Mrs. Bender isn't going to keep us apart anymore." Rosie said

Dave hugged her even tighter. "I'm so glad. I will arrange with Mr. and Mrs. Bender."

Rosie nodded. "Should we let Derek know?" Rosie asked

Dave nodded. "I'll do that. You finish your shower. And get some rest." He said

"Okay." Rosie said

Dave got up and helped her up before leaving the room closing the door.

Rosie turned the shower back on and finished showering. When she was done she got out and get dressed in some sweats and brushed her hair and put it up in bun and went and crashed on her bed.

There was knock on the door about an hour later. Dave went and opened it to see Nolan. He smiled "Hello. Come on in. She didn't mention you were coming."

"She doesn't know. I hope its okay. She mentioned she wasn't feeling well. I brought her some soup." He said holding up a bag from the best Chinese place's in the area. And a grocery bag with some gatorade

"Wonton soup?" Dave asked

"Her favorite. And gatorade" Nolan said

"You are always welcome here Nolan. She is napping. I think. She should be. But you can go up and see." Dave said taking the bags from him.

Nolan went upstairs and knocked on her door.

"Yea?" Rosie said sleepily.

Nolan went in. "Hey." he said softly. He left the door opened knowing how her dad felt.

"Nolan. What are you doing here?" Rosie said

"I came to see you. Brought you some wonton soup and gatorade." Nolan said

"Thank you." She said

"Can I join you on the bed?" Nolan asked

Rosie nodded.

Nolan climbed on and wrapped his arm around her. Rosie snuggled in close and closed he eyes.

Dave had called Derek and told him what had happened and than he called Hunter to let him know they were home and such.

"How was the trip?" Hunter asked

"Really good. Just what we all needed. Wish coming home didn't start up the drama for Rosie again though." Dave said

"What happened?" Hunter asked

Dave took a breath. "Telling you would involve telling you a lot of things that we haven't discussed yet."

"Okay." Hunter said

"It's a bit long to talk about on the phone. And Rosie also has come down with some virus or something I don't want to leave her. Not to mention her boyfriend is here and leaving them alone no matter how much I trust them." Dave said

"My girls are with their mom this weekend. I can come to you. If you want." Hunter said

"Sure." Dave said

"Need anything? Rosie need anything?" Hunter asked

"Have a grocery order being delivered and Nolan brought Rosie soup and gatorade so no." Dave said

"I'm on my way." Hunter said

About forty-five minutes later Dave was opening the door for Hunter.

They hugged and went into the kitchen where Dave was finishing putting away the groceries.

Hunter let him finish before he led him to the couch to sit. "Talk." He said

Dave smiled "Right to it huh?"

"Yes. I know you well enough to know when you need to talk about something. So out with it." Hunter said

Dave nodded and started to explain everything about Rosie and when she was taken and found and all that she had gone through since than. Everything with Lexi and Paige. He knew Rosie would be okay with him knowing most of what she had gone through but kept certain things to himself.

Hunter listened. Putting a hand on his to let him know he was there and not going anywhere. When Dave was done talking Hunter took a breath. "I'm so sorry you had to go through that. I cant imagine one of my daughters being missing for that long. And everything she has gone through than and since than. I would probably blame myself. I'm sure Rosie has been talking to someone about it all. Have you?" Hunter asked

Dave shook his head. "Not really. Abit with Aaron but not much."

"What Rosie went through no one should have to go through. And yes. Absolutely she should be speaking to someone. But you went through hell too. You need someone to talk to too. You know how you have to put on your own mask on a plane before helping your kids. Same goes for this. You cant be there for her if you are not there for yourself first." Hunter said

Dave nodded. "You're right. I know you are."

"And I feel like getting you to talk to a professional would be like getting my five-year-old to eat her broccoli. Like pulling teeth. So, I'm here for you to talk to. Any time." Hunter said

Dave smiled. "Cover the broccoli in cheese."

Hunter chuckled. "I'll try that. But you heard what I said?"

"Yes. I will talk to you." Dave said

Hunter smiled and kissed him. "Good."

Dave kissed him.

They heard Rosie clearing her throat behind.

Dave looked up to see her and Nolan. "How are you feeling Rose?"

"Okay. Heard there is soup." Rosie said

"Kitchen counter. Nolan this is Hunter. Hunter Nolan Rosie's boyfriend." Dave said

They both said hello and nice to meet them.

Rosie and Nolan went into the kitchen. Rosie put some of the soup in a couple bowls and warmed it up in the microwave. "You got a few containers of it." Rosie said

Nolan smiled. "Figured you could have it for awhile."

"I'm sharing it with you and there is still some left." She said with a chuckle.

When it was done warming up they both took their bowls to the table and Rosie grabbed them utensils and some thing to drink.

They sat down and ate.

Dave looked at Hunter. "I think maybe its time for you to get to know Rosie better."

Hunter nodded. "And you my kids. And them all to get to know each other."

Dave nodded. "Do you have any ideas of where they should all meet?"

"Well. My kids have been asking to go to the arcade for weeks. Is that something you think Rosie would enjoy?" Hunter asked

"Yes. She has gone a few times with her friends. She loves it." Dave said

"Activity they all like. Low stress. In a neutral setting" Hunter said

Dave nodded

"And I'll have you over to meet them before that too. So, its not like them meeting you and Rosie both at once since I have met Rosie?" Hunter asked

"Okay." Dave said with a smile "Would you like a drink?" Dave asked

"Sure." Hunter said

The two of them got up and went into the kitchen.

"How are you?" Rosie asked Hunter

"I'm good. You enjoy your time in London?" Hunter asked

"I did." Rosie said with a smile.

"You tell Nolan what has been going on since getting home?" Dave asked her

Rosie nodded. "Of course. I tell him everything. And I'm sure you've told him." Rosie said indicating to Hunter.

"I do share a lot with him." Dave said

"I figured. You can tell him anything. I don't care." Rosie said

Dave nodded and kissed her head before feeling her forehead. "Your fever has dropped."

Rosie nodded "I wonder if maybe stress spiked it."

"You get stressed with flying? I didn't know this." Dave said

"Not flying. But getting through security. And Maybe also I subconsciously knew something bad was going on with one of my friends?" Rosie said

"Empath?" Hunter asked

Rosie looked up at him. "Yeah."

"One of my childhood friends has that ability." Hunter said

Rosie nodded.

"You have anyone to talk to who understands about it?" Hunter asked. "As much a I'm sure your dad helps as much as he can." Hunter said

"I do. But I don't really understand enough to help as much as I wish I could." Dave said

"You do enough." Rosie said

"If you ever need to talk to someone who understands fully. I can connect you with my friend. She is pretty cool. She is into all the self exploration things." Hunter said

"What do you mean by that?" Dave asked

"Tarot, palm reading, connecting to spirits." Hunter said.

Dave nodded.

Rosie looked at her dad. "No issue with that if I choose to?"

"No. Not at all. Some of that is part of your heritage in a way." Dave said

Hunter looked at Dave.

"Her mom was native american. Her grandfather and cousin are still very much involved in that part of their heritage." Dave told him

Hunter nodded. "Cool. I bet that they might know someone who could help you connect to that part of you too."

"Maybe." Rosie said

"Have you been staying in contact with your grandfather and cousin?" Nolan asked

"My cousin yes. Grandfather somewhat." Rosie said

"Just somewhat?" Dave asked

"I don't know what to talk to him about." Rosie said

"Talk to him about your mom. Your life. He's a grandfather he just wants to know about your life." Dave said "And you can ask him about your genetics. And certain things."

"Not happening." Rosie said

"What exactly about your genetics is a question?" Nolan asked

"What is in the DNA medical wise." Rosie said

Nolan tilted his head. "Specifically?"

Rosie shrugged.

"If there is eating disorders in the family line." Dave said

"Dad!" Rosie said

"Thought you told him everything." Dave said

Rosie looked down

Hunter took a breath. He knew he was the issue. "Rosie. Your dad has told me about it. You don't have to worry about judgement from me. If I'm who you were worried about."

Rosie took a breath and nodded abit.

Nolan's phone went off with a text and he looked at it. "I have to go. My sister got a job interview I need to babysit."

Rosie smiled at him. "Tell your sister good luck."

Nolan got up and went over and kissed Rosie. "Will do." He said

"Nice to meet you." He said to Hunter and said bye to Dave before going.

Rosie got up and picked up both their bowls and put them in the sink.

"Dishwasher please." Dave said

Rosie did so. "So. I take it you not keeping me out of the equation anymore means you two are getting serious?"

"Rose." Dave said shaking his head

Hunter smirked.

"Is it an unfair question?" Rosie asked

Dave sighed "No. Yes. We are getting more serious. But you have never been exactly out of the equation."

"Your dad is right. You come with him you're a package deal." Hunter said

Rosie smiled.

"And his kids come with him." Dave said

Rosie nodded. "I think you've told me, but I don't remember how many do you have?"

"Six daughters." Hunter said

Rosie nodded.

"They are all younger than you. The oldest is thirteen, youngest is two." Hunter said

"Cool." Rosie said a small smile on her face.

Rosie and Hunter talked getting to know each other.

Hunter's phone went off with a text and he looked at it and sighed.

"What's wrong?" Dave asked

"House next door. Potential buyer fell through." Hunter said

Dave nodded and went and stood behind him and rubbed his shoulders.

"It will sell." Dave said

"I think it should be burnt to the ground." Rosie mumbled.

Hunter looked at her.

"Rosie. Come on." Dave said.

"Oh, so you think I shouldn't have an opinion?" Rosie asked

"Of course, you are allowed to have an opinion. But crime is not the answer." Dave said

"I didn't say -I would burn it down." Rosie said

Dave sighed and shook his head.

There was a knock at the door.

Dave went to get it.

"You spend some time in that house?" Hunter asked

"My dad didn't tell you?" Rosie asked

"No." Hunter said

"You know who the previous owner was?" Rosie asked

"I know why he's in prison." Hunter said

"I think your smart enough to put it together." She said as Sascha came running into the room and jumping around her feet.

Rosie chuckled. "Sascha! I missed you." She said hugged him as he put his front legs on Rosie's lap and started to lick her face.

Dave came into the room. "Dog sitter just dropping him off."

Hunter nodded. "Why didn't you tell me about Rosie being one of the kids affected by the previous owner?"

Dave took a breath and Rosie excused herself and took the dog and went to her room.

"Because I didn't know if she would want you to know." Dave said

"You've told me everything else." Hunter said "And I am personally trying to sell that house. How is that going to do well for my relationship with her if I don't know?"

"Well, you know now. And it came from her. Which is better." Dave said

Hunter took a breath. "I wish you had told me. I wouldn't have brought it up in front of her.'

"Honestly I think that would have bothered her more. She hates being out of the loop on things that could involve her in any way shape or form." Dave said "As much as I try to keep her out of things. She tends to find out."

Hunter chuckled.

"I'm sorry." Dave said rubbing his shoulders.

"Its okay." Hunter said

"You hungry?" Dave asked

"Starving." Hunter said

Dave went to the fridge and pulled out some things to make home made pizza.

"You don't order out much do you?" Hunter asked

"I eat take out a lot when working so when I'm not no I don't." Dave said

Hunter nodded and the two of them started to make pizza.

"I'm probably going to head back to work in the next couple weeks." Dave said

Hunter nodded. "Once the kids all meet I can keep Rosie at my place when you are away if you would like?"

"Appreciate the offer. I will discuss it with her." Dave said

"Okay." Hunter said

When the pizza was in the oven Dave looked at Hunter

"We also will have to see how they get along." Dave said

"Yeah. That could take some time." Hunter said.

"What do your kids know exactly?" Dave asked

"Know that I'm dating someone with a fifteen-year-old daughter." Hunter said

"And?" Dave asked

"My oldest. Knows enough to know that when we introduce our kids that it means we are getting serious." Hunter said

"Why do I get the feeling there has been some issues with other people you have been with in the past?" Dave asked

"Not me. Her mom. Was dating a guy with a daughter who was older. And apparently my daughter doesn't do well when she is used to being the oldest." Hunter said

"Yeah well when someone's place in a family structure is changed. It can be difficult. We will work with them all to make any transitions." Dave said

Hunter nodded

"I do have a question." Dave asked carefully.

"Okay." Hunter said eyeing his boyfriend

"Generally, not always but generally there is a parent who is more…" Dave was trying to choose his words carefully.

Hunter smirked. He knew what Dave was trying to figure out how to word. But wasn't going to help him. Dave never seemed to have trouble getting words out, so this amused Hunter.

"Yes?" Hunter asked

"Okay. One parent is generally easier going. Was that you or your ex-wife?" Dave asked

Hunter chuckled. "Admittedly she was more of the disciplinarian. However, since the divorce especially with the oldest I have had to become firmer."

Dave nodded. "You mentioned your oldest. When it came to her mom and a relationship didn't make thing easy."

"I will not let -any of my kids walk all over yours. I can see Rosie is definitely a pretty chill teenager. I promise my kids will not take advantage of that." Hunter said.

Dave smiled. "You sure you don't want a job as a profiler? You're very good at reading people."

"Have to be when you have six daughters." Hunter said. "Dave I cant promise that there wont be some tension at first, but I will do everything to make it as easy for not just my girls but for yours too."

"I trust that. I will do the same." Dave said

"Think Rosie will be hungry?" Hunter asked

"No. The soup fills her pretty well." Dave said

Hunter nodded. "How is she doing with the eating disorder treatment?"

"Pretty well. I don't know if its just calmed down for now and it will go off the rails again but for right now it seems okay." Dave said

Hunter nodded. "And how are you doing?"

Dave ran his hand through his hair and leaned against the counter. "Terrified."

Hunter nodded and looked at him expecting more.

"I didn't see it. I always thought that if it was triggered again. I would see it. But I didn't. So, what if it happens again and its worse. And I don't catch it in time?" Dave said

Hunter took a breath. "What are the signs to look for?"

Dave tilted his head.

"You don't have to do this alone anymore. I can help keep an eye on her. Just tell me what to look for." Hunter said

"Hunter… I don't want to put this on you." Dave said

Rosie had come downstairs and was hearing the over heard the conversation she took a breath before coming out so they could see her.

"making excuses not to eat…" Rosie said

Dave and Hunter looked over at her

"I wasn't trying to listen I just came at the right time." Rosie said

Dave nodded.

"Dad. I'm really sorry I have made you worried like this…" She said

Dave went over to her and wrapped her in a hug. "Bambina I don't want you to worry about that."

"And if I told you not to worry about me?" Rosie said

"Different. I'm the parent you're the child." Dave said

"Doesn't mean kids don't worry about their parents." Rosie said

Dave nodded abit and kissed her head.

"What else is there to look for?" Hunter asked

Rosie told him a few other signs to look for.

"Okay." Hunter said. "You're okay with me keeping an eye on things to help your dad out?"

Rosie nodded. "I'm pretty good at reading situations. I can see that this relationship is going to last. And that you are going to be around for awhile so…. Just not in front of people who don't know what's going on."

Hunter nodded. "I can agree to that."

"You hungry? We made pizza." Dave said

"I could have a piece." Rosie said with a smile

Dave went and took the pizza out of the oven and cut it up and they all sat down to eat.

"You mentioned in London joining the school paper next year?" Dave asked

"I'm actually trying to this year but waited to late." Rosie said

"Would you even have time right now with everything you have on your plate?" Dave asked

"I would make it work." Rosie said

"I think you have enough going on. Wait till next year." Dave said

"Whatever." Rosie said voice laced with insolence

"Rose." Dave said warningly.

Rosie rolled her eyes.

Dave took a breath and fixed her with a glare.

Rosie bit her lip.

"You want more pizza?" He asked her

"No thank you." Rosie said

"Go. To your room." He said

Rosie got up and went.

Hunter put a hand on Dave shoulder and squeezed. "you okay?"

"Rosie has the habit of rolling her eyes." Dave said

"Yeah. Its pretty common with teenage girls.." Hunter said

"Hayley does it?" Dave asked

"Yes. And Callie is learning from her big sister." Hunter said

"Do you not find it incredibly disrespectful?" Dave asked

"Oh. I do. And yes. I am trying to nip it in the bud too but sometimes I think it's a losing battle." Hunter said.

"How do you typically handle it?" Dave asked

"With Callie a look is enough to stop it from happening to often. With Hayley usually have to land a swat or two to her butt." Hunter said

Dave nodded. "Usually, the case with Rosie too. But admittedly its been awhile since I have noticed her doing it."

"See. That's a good sign that whatever you have been doing is working." Hunter said

Dave nodded

"Go. Talk to her I'll clean up." Hunter said

Dave kissed his cheek and than got up and went. He knocked on Rosie's door.

"Yes." She said softly

Dave went in and saw his little girl sitting on her window seat hugging her knees. He let out a breath.

"Its been awhile since you have rolled your eyes at me." Dave said.

Rosie nodded.

"So, what happened?" Dave asked

Rosie shrugged.

"Thought you'd get away with it because Hunter is here?" Dave asked

Rosie took a breath and nodded.

"Doesn't matter who is around. You will never get away with being disrespectful to me or anyone who deserves your respect." Dave said

"Yes sir. Sorry. Wont happen again." Rosie said

He went over and put his hand out to take hers.

Rosie closed her eyes and took his hand standing up. Dave gave her two hard swats. "Next time I wont be as lenient. Understood?"

Rosie whimpered and nodded.

Dave pulled her into a hug. "I love you bambina."

"Love you too daddy." Rosie said

Dave and Rosie went downstairs, and they all finished cleaning up than sat down to watch a movie.
