The next couple months Dave and Hunter got their families together as much as possible. There had been a lot of arguing with Rosie and Hayley, but Dave and Hunter stayed out of it as much as possible to let them try and figure it out themselves.

Summer was finally here, and Hunter and his girls were all over and using the pool and enjoying it.

Nolan was over as well hanging out with Rosie. They two of them were inside watching movies.

"How are things going with you and Hayley?" He knew that Hayley was giving her a hard time.

Rosie shrugged. "Same."

Nolan nodded. "How are you doing with it?"

"I don't know. I'm getting really frustrated. I have tried everything to just get along with her. She just doesn't give a shit." Rosie said

Nolan nodded. "Have you told your dad like you promised?"

"No. My dad is so happy." She looked around to make sure there was no one around. "He brought a ring. I will not be the reason he doesn't propose…" Rosie said

Nolan let out a breath. "Yeah. I can see why you would be worried. But you promised. I don't think your dad or Hunter would appreciate you not keeping that promise."

"That's why they wont find out. I will get through to her. Just need a little more time." Rosie said

"Okay. I think you are taking a big risk but yours to take." He said. "Now what do you want for your birthday?"

Her birthday was in a couple weeks, and she hadn't given him any gift ideas.

"You to come to my party." Rosie said with a smile.

"I'll be there and if you don't give me any ideas I will figure it out on my own." He said

Rosie chuckled and shrugged.

Callie came inside. "I was told to come tell you both to get your swimsuits and come outside."

"By my dad?" Rosie asked

"No. Papa told me to tell you." Callie said

Rosie smiled. "Okay. We will be out in a few minutes."

Callie went back outside.

Nolan smiled at her. And they both went and got swimsuits on, and Rosie grabbed them a couple towels and they went outside and joined the fun.

After a bit Hunter looked at Rosie.

"You excited for your sweet sixteen in a couple weeks?" He asked

"Very." Rosie said

"Are you having a party?" Hayley asked

"Yup. And your invited." Rosie said

"Where are you having it?" Hayley asked

"Here. I don't really want to do the big party thing. Not my style." Rosie said

"But lots of people are invited." Dave said. He looked at his daughter. "You have talked to your cousin and grandfather about it right?"

Rosie nodded. "Becca having the same birthday makes it complicated. She is having her party with her friends. But she is going to come here and visit sometime after, and we will celebrate our birthdays together."

Dave smiled. "Okay. Good."

"You have any hot single guy friends coming?" Hayley asked

"Don't even think about it not allowed to date till your sixteen." Hunter said

"She's not sixteen and she's been dating him for along time." Hayley said

"And I didn't have a say in that." Hunter said.

Hayley huffed and went back to swimming.

Rosie sighed and looked at Nolan. "So close." She said quietly.

Nolan smiled. "Keep trying."

A little later Hayley went inside to get a drink and Rosie said she needed to use the bathroom. She went inside.

"Hey. If you find someone you want to date before your sixteen I will try and work your dad to let you." Rosie said

"Really?" Hayley asked

Rosie nodded. "Of course. And yes. I have some single guy friends coming. Cant say that they are hot according to my tastes but that doesn't mean you wouldn't."

Hayley smiled and nodded. "Okay."

Soon after the two of them both went back outside.

Rosie looked at Hayley and whispered. "I think my dad needs to get into the water. Want to help?" She asked with a smirk

Hayley made a face. "Will he be pissed?"

Rosie shook her head. "No."

"Okay. Lets do it." Hayley said with a giggle.

The two of them went over to the side of the pool where Dave was standing and pushed him into the water.

Dave didn't see it coming so he wasn't on guard so when the two teenagers pushed him from behind he went into the water.

Hunter who had been trying to get him into the water all afternoon started to laugh.

Dave came up from under the water shaking his head.

Rosie laughed.

Hayley looked nervous.

Dave saw the look and smiled. "You two planned this?"

"Yes sir." Hayley said.

Dave got out of the water laughing. "Good job."

Rosie looked at her. "See. Not upset at all."

Hayley smiled and nodded.

Dave went and sat with Hunter. "Looks like its getting better."

Hunter smiled. "I think so too."

The day went on and pizza was ordered a few hours later. And everyone ate and Nolan left soon after.

He kissed her.

"Let me know when you get home." Rosie said kissing him

"Will do." Nolan said he went. Rosie went back into the family room where a movie was being put on.

They watched the movie and Scarlet and Kara had fallen asleep. Dave helped Hunter carry them both to the car when they were leaving.

Hayley hugged Rosie. Rosie was surprised but hugged her back

"What do you want for your birthday?" Hayley asked her

Rosie shrugged. "Nothing. Just be at my party."

Hayley chuckled. "Okay."

They left and the house got quiet again.

Rosie looked at her dad. "When you and Hunter get married who is moving where?"

"Who said we are getting married?" Dave asked

"Come on. I know its going to happen at some point." Rosie said

"Well. Hunter and I have discussed it. We will either get a new house together or they will be moving in here. This is a much bigger place than he has." Dave said

Rosie nodded. "Okay."

"Don't worry about that right now though." He said

Rosie smiled and nodded and they cleaned up the kitchen and both went about their night time things.
