Seto's fingers curled reflexively around the mug of cocoa as Joey pressed it into his hands. Outside, the gray light waned, and the snow came down softly but ceaselessly, occasionally tumbling and twisting in a stray burst of wind. But inside, the air was cozy and fragrant, and the firelight from the hearth danced off the windows.

The two of them stood there for some time, cocoas in hand, sweater-clad arms pressed against each other, wordlessly watching the snow fall.

"I'm really glad we could come back to the lodge again," Joey finally said, taking one arm and snaking it around Seto's waist.

"Me too." Seto brought his arm behind Joey in return, resting his hand at the base of Joey's neck and gently tangling his fingers in the soft strands of his hair.

Joey gave a contented sigh and pulled them even closer together. "It snowed like this that day too."

"It wasn't supposed to snow."

Joey chuckled. "Not even you can control the weather."

"KaibaCorp is working on a—"

"Hey, no work talk. You promised."

"I—"

Seto stopped. "I did promise, didn't I." He smiled softly, and leaned in to place a gentle kiss on Joey's temple. "Thank you for that day," he murmured, "and for every day after."

"Even though it snowed on our wedding?"

"Yes."

"And even though I threw snowballs at you and got snow down your tux?"

"If I recall, I threw them back."

Joey chuckled again, and clinked their cocoa mugs together. "Well, here's to us. And to our continued married life, despite its frigid start." He took a sip as Seto huffed out a single obligatory annoyed laugh at the pun. Then, snuggling closer, he captured Seto's lips in a cocoa-flavored kiss.

"Happy anniversary, Seto. I love you. So much."

"And I love you, Joey. Today, and every day after. Happy anniversary."
