Chapter one: Commander
Y'know, Its not everyday that you get to wake up to the sound of entering a planets atmosphere, Though, I also had the unfortunate privilege to feel the sensation of entering said atmosphere.
It was surprisingly cosy.
After what seemed like hours…. Well, It felt like hours, I had reached, 'Crashed into' to be frank, The planet's surface.
My vison was obstructed by the ridiculous amount of smoke and airborne dirt. I had taken the time to contemplate whether to maintain my residence within my new, Slightly molten now that I notice, Dirt hole. To my surprise the crater of crushed rock and lava was strangely comfortable, Must be the heat.
While it was nice to some degree, I couldn't just spend all day in here and there was also the fact I survived both atmospheric re-entree and FUCKING LAVA.
I began my climb…. And didn't expect what I saw.
Apparently, I no longer had a hand.
Instead, I had a claw comprised of an armoured…. hand and three black digits that were now breaking through the rock that surrounded me.
And apparently, My other arm was a gun.
Okay…..So I'm a giant robot now….Okay…I can work with this…..Maybe….
While it was weird walking around on four heavily armoured legs, I could get used to that. Though now that I was out I had to deal with a few serious problems.
Like one: THE FUCK HAPPENED.
And two: Who in their seemingly endless and divine wisdom thought it'd be a great idea to put some schmuck in what I can only imagine as some kind of self-perpetuating war machine.
And finally three: THE FUCK.
"Oi, Get movin', Ya git! The shiny came down right over 'ere!".
Oh…...Oh fuck me in the alps….

I brought my nearest leg down upon the closest ork, The bloodthirsty monster's death was instant. I brought my gun arm to bear and fired, The weapon unleashed arks of crimson energy that lashed out against the nearest targets.
The unlucky orks were torn apart, Tendrils of crimson snaking through their bodies tearing them apart at the molecular level. Though what surprised me was that the molecules were then destroyed….
Destroyed.
Well, There goes my understanding of science.
Another stomp and a few more shots and that was that, Though knowing who I was up against there were likely more to follow.
But… The Fact I had just fought large, Loud murder monsters with literal crap for weapons only made me realize where I had ended up.
Warhammer 40k.
Somehow, I've wound up in one of the most terrifying and bat shit insane universes ever envisioned by man and slam bamed straight in front of one of the most vicious and violent races in the galaxy.
And that's not getting into the OTHER vicious and violent races around and, Most likely, On the planet…..
The very same planet I was on.
Shit.
My vision was joined by what I assumed were status updates and some miscellaneous information that raced down the red lined boxes that contained them, System alerts popping up showing dormant equipment and systems coming to life.
Quickly, The alerts closed and were replaced by a new box that, Instead of information, Held a three-dimensional model of my 'body' which had an…Interesting build to it.
A boxy torso and shoulders attached to a quadrupedal collection of legs, They certainly looked to be well armoured with the same being said for its left arm; The limb ended in a powerful looking three-digit claw that had, Looking at the information provided, quite the ridiculous gripping strength.
The right arm was some kind of energy or particle weapon, A tube or conductor ran down the 'Forearms' top and lead to a barrel that looked like an upside down 'T'. The fact that this thing could destroy energy meant I'm dealing with some pretty next level or even straight up Lovecraftian tech.
Still, While this admittedly miniscule amount of information was undoubtedly enlightening for someone in my situation I needed to know more if this was going to be my body for the foreseeable future.
I 'looked' deeper in a sense, Accessing deeper and deeper caches of informationeach bringing more and more designs of machines, weapons and technologies that only deepened my curiosity and increased the true scope of just what i was dealing with. I delved deeper and deeper...
Deeper...
Deeper...
Deeper...
Deeper...
Deeper...
And finally…..I beheld it….The thing that comprised my 'Core'. The thing that produced this impossible nanotechnology...
It frightened me...
It's very existence unnerved me...The scale of its potential...The implications of its existence...It made no sense, None at all... There was no conceivable way i could explain or justify its presence...
The thing that was before me...The thing that was me...
The Hell Engine.
It was...Surreal having to deal with such an existential horror, Because if the hell engine was real then that meant the ones who made too were real... And that would lead to a domino effect of things turning out to be real which would just lead to my day getting worse than it already was.
So, Apparently the multiverse theory is true and i'm in a self perpetuating war machine designed to kill gods...Alright...I can work with this...
Before i could fall further into an existential angst my sensors went crazy, My vision turned into a blur of red and crimson before i was brought back to my previous surroundings. Appearing on and move fast was a small force of what i can only guess are orks...Great, Still dealing with murderous aliens was definitely preferable to the cosmic horror i had stumbled into. I moved as the kit-bashed and ram-shackled together enemy force charged down my way, Armour and plates shifted and moved in places while in other turrets and missile launchers grew out of my body, And if that wasn't weird enough a mass of nanomachines was released from my body soon forming a black sea underneath me.
After a few miles my weaponry fired automatically, Missiles and beams rained down on the haphazard vehicles weapons returned in kind. As munitions were exchanged masses of nanites spiralled out of the mass under me and coiled together into vaguely humanoid machines, An amorphous silhouette gave way to blackened musculature and silver sinews; Double jointed legs carried a top heavy torso that produced flowing masses that acted as limbs with the body topped by an cyclopean head, Its jaw extending before snapping and revealing jagged teeth. The primeval machines let out roars and bellows as their limbs transformed, Liquid mass forming into mixtures of artificial flesh and metal that shaped into crude projectile weaponry that the newly formed drones unleashed upon their green enemy.
Our combined firepower tore through the opposition, Machines blended and bodies mutilated left the ground painted red and the sky choked by smoke.
It wasn't enough.
These were orks after all.
With a thought.
Everything burned.
