Arabella, Leo, and Arianne took the advice from Brooke and returned to Nimbus Woods. The three trainers set up camp and decided to train their Pokemon while in Nimbus Woods. Well, Arabella and Leo were training. Arianne's Sobble was currently eating Pokemon food.

"Litten, use Ember!" Leo shouted.

"Bulbasaur, dodge and use Tackle!" Arabella responded.

Arianne frowned as she watched Leo's Litten and Arabella's Bulbasaur battle each other once more. She wanted to battle too, but it seems that her Sobble is afraid of battling other Pokemon. How was she supposed to catch any Pokemon to battle with if Sobble wouldn't even help her with that? Arianne looked down to see Sobble asleep and a brown fox-like Pokemon eating the Pokemon food that Sobble left in his bowl.

"Huh?" Arianne asked before using her Pokedex on the Pokemon.

Eevee, the Evolution Pokemon. Thanks to its unstable genetic makeup, this special Pokémon conceals many different possible evolutions.

"Uh…guys." Arianne says as she watches the Eevee. "We have a visitor."

Leo stopped and looked in Arianne's direction. "Wow! An Eevee! That's so cool! They're pretty rare here in Nimbus Woods!"

Arabella smiled at Arianne. "Looks like you've made a new friend, Ari."

"Huh?" Arianne looked to see Eevee was now laying next to her and the sleeping Sobble. "That's adorable."

The three trainers heard a loud noise nearby.

"What was that?" Arabella asks.

Leo shrugs. "I don't know, but I'm going to go check it out. Come on, Litten."

"I'll join you. Arianne, are you going to stay with Eevee and Sobble and watch the camp?"

Arianne nods. "Sure. Be careful."

"We will."

Arabella and Leo found a bird Pokemon struggling on the ground.

"I think it's hurt, Leo." Arabella says.

"Let me go find some Oran berries to help it, Arabella." Leo replies. "Litten and I will be back in a little bit."

"Alright." Arabella replied before using her Pokedex on the Pokemon.

Starly, the Starling Pokemon. They flock in great numbers. Though small, they flap their wings with great power.

"So, you're a Starly." Arabella whispers to the hurt Pokemon. "Don't worry. We're going to help you."

Leo returned with some Oran berries. "Here, Arabella."

Arabella took the Oran berries and tried to give them to Starly. Starly shied away nervously. It seemed afraid of Arabella and Leo.

Arabella looked at Leo. "You can head back to our camp, Leo."

Leo gives Arabella a concerned look. "Are you sure, Arabella?"

"I'm sure. Go back and check on Arianne."

"Okay. Be careful."

"I will."

Leo nodded before heading back towards the camp.

Arabella looked at Starly. "Hey, everything's gonna be alright. I'm just trying to help you."

Starly looked back at Arabella but still wouldn't touch the Oran berries that Leo had brought back. Arabella was caught off guard when water sprayed Starly in the face, seemingly out of nowhere. Arabella looked to see a blue monkey Pokemon that looked similar to the Pansear that Brooke had caught laughing nearby. Arabella used her Pokedex.

Panpour, the Spray Pokemon. The water stored inside the tuft on its head is full of nutrients. Plants that receive its water grow large.

"Hey!" Arabella shouted at the Panpour. "What's the big idea? Starly is clearly hurt!"

Panpour laughed before spraying water in Arabella's face.

"That's it!" Arabella threw a Poké Ball out. "Bulbasaur, let's go!"

Arabella's Bulbasaur appeared in front of the Panpour. Panpour went to spray water at Bulbasaur.

"Bulbasaur, dodge and use Tackle!"

Bulbasaur went to tackle Panpour, but Panpour dodged out of the way before scratching Bulbasaur.

"Bulbasaur, Vine Whip!"

Bulbasaur used Vine Whip. Panpour tripped before getting up and running away.

Arabella grinned. "Good job, Bulbasaur!"

Starly chirped. Arabella looked at it. Starly was smiling at her.

"Starly," Arabella says. "I'm not going to hurt you. You need to eat those Oran berries to feel better."

"Bulba!" Bulbasaur agreed.

Starly looked at the Oran berries before eating.

Arabella smiled. "Good job, Starly."

"Star!" Starly responded as it started flying around.

"I'm glad you're feeling better, Starly. Bulbasaur and I are going to head back to our camp now. Be careful."

Starly flew down and perched on Arabella's shoulder.

"Huh?" Arabella asked. "Do you want to come with us, Starly?"

"Star!"

"Alright. Go Poké Ball!" Arabella tossed the Poké Ball in the air.

Starly flew up and tapped on the Poké Ball before getting absorbed in the Poké Ball. It shook three times before clicking.

Arabella picked up the Poké Ball. "Welcome to the team, Starly."

"Arabella!" Leo shouted as he and Arianne arrived. "Is everything alright?"

"Yeah, Starly ate the Oran berries and I caught him. This Panpour showed up and kept attacking him, so I had to use Bulbasaur to scare it off."

"Congratulations on catching your Pokemon on your own, Arabella."

"You!" A girl shouts. "You attacked my Panpour!"

Arabella, Leo, and Arianne looked to see a girl their age with long dark blue hair. She had two boys with her, one with red hair and one with green hair. The girl had a Panpour with her. The boy with red hair had a Pansear with him. The boy with green hair had a similar looking green monkey Pokemon with him. Leo used his Pokedex.

Pansage, the Grass Monkey Pokemon, This Pokémon dwells deep in the forest. Eating a leaf from its head whisks weariness away as if by magic.

Arabella glared at the girl. "Your Panpour was attacking a hurt Starly! It was uncalled for!"

"You were the one who did something wrong! My Panpour would never do such a thing!"

"I was protecting Starly! I was doing what was right!"

"As if! You're just trash!"

Arabella got red in the face. "Who the hell do you think you are?!"

The girl grinned. "I'm Moira. I'm a World Class Pokemon Coordinator and on a much higher level than you."

The boy with red hair smirked. "I'm Ryder, a gym challenger and much better than all of you."

The boy with green hair chuckled. "And I'm Jenson, a Pokemon researcher. How about we have a Triple Battle? The three of us versus the three of you. One Pokemon each. Or are you too scared?"

Arabella and Leo exchanged a look of worry. Arianne's Sobble was scared of battling.

"Challenge accepted!" Arianne shouted as she tossed a Poké Ball in the air. "Eevee, time to shine!"

Leo tossed his Poké Ball in the air as the Eevee from earlier appeared in front of Arianne. "Litten, battle time!"

Leo's Litten appeared in front of him. Arabella's Bulbasaur, Moira's Panpour, Ryder's Pansear, and Jenson's Pansage got in front of their respective trainers.

"Pansear, use Incinerate on Bulbasaur!" Ryder shouted.

"Bulbasaur, dodge it!" Arabella responded.

"Eevee, use Dig!" Arianne ordered.

Eevee dug underground. The three elemental monkeys looked around in confusion.

"Litten, use Ember on Pansage!" Leo shouted.

"Pansage, dodge and use Scratch!" Jenson commanded.

"Panpour, use Water Gun on Litten!" Moira ordered.

"Litten, dodge it!" Leo shouted.

"Pansear, use Incinerate on Bulbasaur again!" Ryder ordered.

"Dodge it, Bulbasaur!" Arabella responded.

Just as Bulbasaur dodged, Eevee dug back up and attacked Pansear. Pansear fainted, and Ryder returned it to its Poké Ball.

Moira and Jenson looked on in shock.

"Bulbasaur, use Vine Whip on Panpour!" Arabella ordered.

"Litten, use Ember on Pansage!" Leo orders simultaneously.

Bulbasaur and Litten landed both of their attacks simultaneously on Panpour and Pansage. Panpour and Pansage both fainted.

Moira returned Panpour to its Poké Ball. "That's not fair!"

"This isn't over! We'll cross paths again!" Jenson shouted as he, Moira, and Ryder walked away.

Leo laughed. "That was fun. Should we head back to Roseburg Town to heal up our Pokemon?"

Arianne nodded. "We should. Then, we should head on Route 1 and get to Covolt City."

"Sounds like a plan." Arabella agreed.
