Searching In Yakyakistan - Part 1:
Meet Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie
"Yakyakistan is an ancient kingdom, former home of the yaks, and a hidden society within the mountains…," Celestia explained.
"Soldiers and weapons frozen forever in the posture of destruction," Luna added.
"You must find Voltwing and Storm Heart before they're lost forever," Celestia finished.
A cyan Alicorn mare with a rainbow mane and tail and a cutie mark of a cloud with a rainbow lightning bolt along with a pale grayish raspberry Alicorn mare with a big poofy pink mane and tail and a cutie mark of three balloons were walking through the mountains of Yakyakistan until they spotted something in the air above them…
"Hey, what's that in the sky? Is it a bird?" the pink Alicorn asked.
"I don't think that's a bird," the cyan Alicorn replied.
"Then what is it?" the pink Alicorn asked as the flying thing suddenly spoke.
"Wait! How the heck do I land?! Coming in too fast!" Twilight shouted, trying to find out how she was going to land.
"This doesn't look good," Spike commented, getting the feeling that Twilight is in for a crash landing.
"Incoming!" Twilight shouted.
"Take cover!" the cyan Alicorn shouted as she and the pink Alicorn ducked out of the way.
"This is gonna hurt," Spike commented.
Twilight hits the snowy ground and slides across until she stopped face first in the snow.
"Nice landing, ace," Spike joked with a smile.
"Yeah, nice but definitely not perfect," the cyan Alicorn said, as she and the pink Alicorn approached them.
Twilight and Spike saw them approaching as Twilight got up and almost slipped but regained her footing.
"Maybe you're right, this flying thing isn't exactly for me yet," Twilight agreed with the cyan mare.
"Well, it's absolutely obvious that it doesn't help that you're carrying that weight. Maybe you should throw a salad in every once in a while. And you'd be okay," Spike suggested as Twilight raised a brow at him for the comment.
"...Or…maybe she should stick to the ground for a while until she gets the hang of the landing," the cyan Alicorn suggested.
"I can go with the second option," Twilight agreed with her fellow alicorn.
"Ohmygosh!Ohmygosh!Ohmygosh! Finally, a new friend!" the pink Alicorn mare said quickly in an excited voice, and grabbed Twilight's hoof, "Hi I'm Pinkie Pie! So nice to meet you!" Pinkie introduced herself and shook Twilight's hoof up and down wildly, making her dizzy.
"N-n-n-n-iiicccceee, toooo mmeeeet yooouuuu ttttoooo!" Twilight jittered.
"And my name's Rainbow Dash," Rainbow Dash introduced herself as well. "And you are?" She asked Twilight and Spike after Pinkie stopped shaking her.
Shaking off the dizziness, Twilight was finally able to introduce herself, "I'm Twilight Sparkle,".
"And I'm Spike the Dragon," Spike also introduced himself to Rainbow Dash and Pinkie.
"Nice to meet you, guys. But why are you two here in the mountains of Yakyakistan?" Pinkie asked, raising a brow.
"We're looking for two Alicorns here. A mare named Storm Heart and a stallion named Voltwing," Twilight replied.
"Wait! Hold on a minute! Did you say Storm Heart and Voltwing?" Rainbow asked.
"Um, yeah. Do you know them?" Spike asked, raising a brow.
"Are you kidding? They're our mentors!" Pinkie replied, hopping up and down excitedly.
"What?!" Twilight and Spike asked in unison in shock and disbelief.
"It's true. Storm Heart and Voltwing taught me and Pinkie how to master our powers of Air and Thunder," Rainbow Dash said, "Storm Heart and air for me, and Voltwing and Thunder for Pinkie,".
"Do you two think you could help us find them?" Twilight asked.
"Well, we can try. But ever since Slash and his forces took over, Yakyakistan hasn't been a very friendly place. The yaks were forced to abandon it and we've barely got out of that place, ourselves," Pinkie explained.
"Not a very friendly place, huh? Then I wonder where we should start," Twilight said, looking around the place.
"Well, I'm no Alicorn like you girls, but I think maybe we should take that clearly marked path that leads to the interior of the mountains," Spike suggested.
"We'll show you two the way. We saw where those monkey brains took Storm Heart and Voltwing," Rainbow told them.
"Alright, lead the way you two," Twilight accepted as she and Spike started following Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie into the Mountains to find the two guardians.
As they entered the place and began their search, the Mane 3 and Spike walked past what looked like two frozen statues. While the three alicorns seemed unbothered by them, Spike, however, was starting to get a strange feeling from the statues.
"Um, Twilight? Is it weird that that thing just blinked at me?" Spike asked nervously, pointing to the statue on the right.
"Just keep moving, Spike," Twilight mumbled curtly and quietly, getting the same feeling.
"Yeah, whatever you do, don't make eye contact with it," Pinkie mumbled as well.
Suddenly the ice statues burst and came to life, revealing to be two armored yak-trolls, surprising them.
"Or else THAT!" Pinkie shouted.
"Ice Cubes Alive!" Spike shrieked.
"Not for long they are," Rainbow Dash said as she and Pinkie turned to each other and nodded.
As the armored trolls began to attack, Pinkie shot some bolts of lightning out of her horn and right at the first troll and zapped him into defeat. Rainbow Dash sent some very strong winds from her wings at the second troll and he was blown far away from them.
"Whoa," Twilight said in awe, after the two yak-trolls were defeated the Mane 3 and Spike continued on their quest to find Storm Heart and Voltwing.
But in their way, there's a wooden barrier blocking them from getting in. But it wasn't long until they came across an old catapult, which gave Spike an idea.
"Hey, why don't we use this catapult to knock that bad wall down?" Spike suggested.
"Spike, you're a genius!" Pinkie chuckled with a smile.
"I knew I brought you along for a reason," Twilight said.
"Really?" Spike asked.
"Now, we just need some ammo," Twilight said, ignoring Spike's question.
"Hey, how about these snowballs?" Pinkie suggested, approaching a tree.
"Snowballs? What snowballs?" Rainbow asked, raising a brow.
Pinkie then gave the tree a strong kick and three huge snowballs came down to the ground.
"Ta-da!" Pinkie cheered.
"Okay, those can actually work," Twilight said, thinking they could help knock down the wall.
So the Mane 3 and Spike worked together to move the snowball and load it into the catapult for firing. Aiming it carefully at the wall, and then…
"FIRE!" Pinkie shouted, as they launched the snowball into the air and it came down crashing into the wall, breaking it in the process.
"That was a great idea. Glad we thought of it," Twilight commented.
"You glad…You no!" Spike retorted as Twilight was stealing his credit as they ran to the broken wall and entered the village of Yakyakistan.
Except as they entered, they screeched to a halt to see standing above them on a wooden podium is a giant Ape Commander hooting and hollering as blue fire appeared and blocked their path and six smaller ones appeared jumping and running towards them. These ape creatures were wearing parkas and winter gear and seemed to be frosted over.
Twilight, Pinkie, and Rainbow Dash didn't let them stop them. Twilight used her magic, Pinkie was using her thunder magic, and Rainbow Dash used her air magic on those small cohorts and defeated them along with breaking the wooden barriers. A few more kept coming but Twilight, Pinkie, and Rainbow used their powers to whack, swat, kick, and even swung them around until every one of them is defeated.
After the small grunts were defeated, the blue fire cleared away and Twilight and her two new friends fought the big commander, knocking off his armor, as Twilight delivers the final blow and sent him down to defeat.
After defeating the commander, the Mane 3 and Spike continued on their search for Voltwing and Storm Heart.
