We've got your back and you deserve it more than me
Something's wrong with Shadow and when Sonic finds out he helps him. After the help Shadow tells them the truth, Tails, Knuckles, Rouge and Team Rose find something they weren't expecting and Team Sonic is offered something.
Team Sonic, Team Dark and Team Rose were at the GUN auditorium waiting for Towers to come.
Shadow had done something at his last mission and was getting an Medal of Honor.
Or so they think he was on his own.
He knew he truly didn't deserve it and who it really is but they don't work for GUN and said Shadow deserves it for working for GUN for five years.
No one else knows who it is.
Shadow had a problem going on right now though.
He had to go to the bathroom bad.
He had his legs crossed tight trying not to go.
Then he felt some come out and tightened his legs and rubbed at them.
He had trouble staying still and felt more come out.
Then Sonic looked at him and after raising Tails realized what the problem is so he got closer.
"You have to go to the bathroom, don't you?"
"So much." Shadow said and felt more come out.
Sonic noticed to and knew what he had to do.
"You owe me big for this later." he said confusing everyone then got up and everyone looked at him. "I just want to talk to Shadow for a minute." he said and then took out his chaos emerald.
When he took it out Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Cream and Rouge sat there in shock.
Sonic never keeps one with him!
Then he raised the hand he's holding it in and focused on his chaos.
"Chaos Control!" he said and they were gone.
"WHAT THE HELL?!" Knuckles said.
"Sonic never holds onto one!" Tails said. "No one knows where he keeps them!"
"How did he do that with one and usually needs two? He's not as strong as Shadow with that." Amy said.
"I'm not sure if he really can only use two."
"WHAT?!" everyone said.
"Think about it. He's been fighting Eggman for years which means he's getting stronger and stronger. So maybe being sixteen he still has power to unlock."
They sat or stood there quietly for a few minutes.
"Control!" they heard Sonic say so everyone got back to what they were doing.
Tails and the others were going to talk about this later.
When they were back they sat down.
"Thank you." Shadow whispered and saw an exhausted Sonic after Chaos Controlling twice. "You alright?"
Sonic nodded.
"Yea, just tired from doing that." Sonic said.
Then Towers came up.
"This is a very good thing today. Agent Shadow has done something that no one else would be able to do, not even agent Rouge." he said.
Shadow looked at the person that helped him who shook their head.
"Now come and get your medal agent Shadow."
Then Shadow got up and walked over to Towers.
"You deserve this medal agent." Towers said smiling.
"Thank you sir." Shadow said and then got ready for a speech.
He looked at the person that helped him while he talked but they shook their head.
After five minutes he stopped and everyone looked at him confused.
"Agent Shadow?" Towers said and saw him looking at one of his friends but didn't know which one.
"I'm not the one that deserves this badge sir." Shadow said and saw the other person getting a little nervous and shook their head.
"What do you mean?"
"I'm not the one that saved them. I'm just the GUN member that was there."
That confused everyone.
"What are you talking about Shadow?" Rouge asked. "I wasn't there and neither was Omega."
"Sonic is the one that deserves this medal." Shadow said and Sonic winced while everyone looked at him. "I called him on my communicator knowing I needed a little help and Sonic has the most experience being a hero. Out of everyone on Team Sonic, Team Dark and Team Rose members he knows the most." he said and chuckled seeing a Sonic as red as Knuckles. "I only brought the family to safety while Sonic went and used almost all of his Chaos unlocking the four strongest parts of him together."
"Which is?" Towers asked.
"I don't know them all. I only know Super Sonic."
Everyone looked at a still red Sonic.
"Come up here." Shadow said.
Sonic sighed but got up and headed to the stadium.
"What can you transform into?" Towers asked.
Sonic sighed.
"You already know Super Sonic." he said and everyone nodded.
"You're strongest transformation." Tails said.
Sonic gulped a little.
"That's my, third strongest." he said and everyone sat or stood there in shock. "I kind of have more than four. But I'd rather not tell you but I'll tell you three out of four. The last one only me and Eggman know about. He actually helped me get out of that one."
"No you're telling us who you can transformation into." Shadow said and everyone else nodded.
Then Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Cream, Rouge and Shadow raised a hand confusing everyone else,
"I Miles Tails Prower swear on my two tails to keep this quiet unless I have to." Tails said crossing his two tails and an orange light went around him.
"I Knuckles the Echidna swear on my gliding to keep this quiet unless I have to." Knuckles said and a red light went around him.
"I Shadow the Hedgehog swear on my Chaos Spear, Chaos Blast, Chaos Control and Super Shadow to keep this quiet unless I have to." Shadow said and a black and red light went around him.\
"I Rouge the Bat swear on my flying to keep this quiet unless I have to." Rouge said and a purple light went off.
"I Cream the Rabbit swear on my flight like Rouge to keep this quiet unless I have to." Cream said and a cream colored light go off.
"I Amy Rose swear on my hammer to keep this quiet unless I have to." Amy said and a pink light go off.
"We, Sonic Heroes swear on our membership of the teams to stay with Sonic the Hedgehog leader of Sonic Heroes." they all said and an orange, red, black and red, purple, cream and pink flash went off.
Then Tails and Knuckles kept their hands up.
"We, Tails and Knuckles, members of Team Sonic swear on our membership of the team to stay with Sonic the Hedgehog, leader of Team Sonic." they said and a red and orange light went off.
Sonic stood there quietly while everyone else was confused and Tails, Knuckles, Shadow, Amy, Cream and Rouge looked at him waiting.
Then he bit his lip and slowly raised his hand.
"I Sonic the Hedgehog swear on my speed, Super Sonic and leadership to keep this quiet unless I have to." Sonic said and a blue light go off.
Then they saw Sonic reach to the back of his head and grabbed something.
"Super Sonic, Dark Sonic, Excalibur Sonic, Darkspine Sonic, Werehog form and Hyper Sonic." he said. "Super, Dark and Hyper are my oldest and strongest forms."
When he was done everyone looked at him in shock at what he can do.
"What I used was super, hyper, darkspine and, dark Sonic. Dark is the strongest, then hyper, then Super and last Darkspine." Sonic said.
"And you did great." Shadow said.
Sonic smiled a little.
"Thanks." he said.
"Now," Shadow said and took off his medal. "I think this belongs to you." he said and put it on him.
"Shadow I-"
"Yes you do. You're the one that did pretty much all the work and deserve it."
Sonic stood there quietly.
"He's right." Towers said.
"You've been through hell your whole life and it's still going on. We all know you're still a little traumatized at the war we had. You went through the worst out of us all." Shadow said getting Sonic to twitch a little. "I really shouldn't've said that." he said and winced.
Sonic shook his head.
"N-n-now I'll probably be up all night seeing what they did." he said.
"Sorry."
"What did they do to you." Knuckles asked and Sonic looked at him in shock and a little fear.
"To much and I'd rather not say with people other than you, Tails, Shadow, Cream, Amy and Rouge here." he said.
"Please." Tails said.
Sonic looked at him then everyone else.
"Fine. But you all need to keep this quiet." he said and everyone nodded. "I was exhausted every day because I had nightmares. Infinite punched, slapped, cut, whipped and burnt me. Eggman would experiment on me and laugh. Then the say before Avatar got me Infinite," he started then took a deep breath. "raped me."
Everyone gasped and Tails and Cream cried.
Knuckles sat there quietly feeling tears and even more guilt at giving up.
Shadow looked at him in shock then saw something in Sonic's eyes.
Then it hit him.
"You've been through it before." he said Sonic froze then nodded.
"My father abused me after losing mom, my brother and sister when we were four. There was a fire after something happened. I was trying to save them but being four years old I didn't know what to do. Then when we lost them my father started slapping, punching and kicking me. As I got older the beating got worse. On my eighth birthday he raped me and I ran away after that. A few months later Eggman came so I decided to protect people so they didn't have to go through what I did." he said with tears going down. "I let Tails join me when I was eleven because he was only two and I didn't want anything to happen to him. I gave Knux a second chance because he didn't know it was Eggman after the Master Emerald. I gave Shadow a chance because he didn't remember anything and Eggman tricked him."
They all looked at him and saw him shaking a little and had tears going down.
Then to everyone's surprise Shadow held him close.
"We're sorry." Shadow said and Sonic held onto him and cried.
Then Tails and Knuckles walked over to him and held him close to.
"I'm sorry for giving up on you." Knuckles said. "Even after what Silver said I should've tried harder to find you." he said and looked at him. "I don't deserve to be your friend and teammate. And don't deserve to be Commander if anything like that were to happen."
Sonic looked at him for a minute in shock.
"Even though we didn't start out that great you still helped us with Eggman and when we had the problems with Jet you stayed with me. Even though Jet was my rival, Wave was Tails' and Storm was yours." he said while he, Tails and Knuckles started laughing while everyone else was confused.
"Huh?" they all said.
"The Extreme Gear race a few years ago was us and the Babylons." Tails said when they calmed down.
"Ohhh."
Then Sonic looked at Knuckles again.
"At the Metal Sonic problem us, Team Dark, Team Rose and Team Chaotix you stayed with me and when Tails asked me what we were gonna do you said 'Don't worry, we can take care of this' then you stopped the fight I almost had with Shadow. When Rouge tried to steal the Master Emerald after the fight and were done you came back and went on an adventure with me. I don't know what I'd do without you and Tails after we met." he said.
Knuckles nodded.
"Still, if there ever was something like that you take charge. You know how to lead people while I don't know as much. Even though we're a team." he said and Sonic nodded.
"I have one question for you and Shadow." Rouge said.
"Yes?" Shadow said.
"Are you still rivals or something else?"
They stood there quietly then looked at each other.
"We, um, are actually a couple." Sonic said.
"WHAT?!" Team Sonic, Rouge and Team Rose said.
They winced a little then nodded.
"We've been together for four years." Shadow said.
Everyone looked at them in shock while Tails and Knuckles looked at Sonic hurt he'd hide something like that from them.
"Why did you hide it from us of all people?" Tails asked.
"Yeah, like you said, Rouge and Storm are my rivals and Wave is Tails' not Shadow." Knuckles said.
Sonic looked at them.
"I'm sorry OK? We're protective of each other. Especially Knuckles being the oldest and I didn't know what you'd think!" he said.
They knew he was right so nodded and looked at Shadow.
"You better look after him hedgehog." Knuckles said. "Unless you want every bone broken and a few scars from my spikes."
Shadow nodded quickly.
"And be turned into something else being the Ultimate Lifeform and me a mechanic and scientist." Tails said getting Shadow to nod quickly again.
Sonic sighed and shook his head.
"I have a great family but sometimes they can be over protective." he said.
Tails and Knuckles turned a little red knowing he was right.
Then they looked at Towers who was shocked at all this but already had an idea Sonic and Shadow were dating.
"Alright, as Shadow said Sonic, you deserve the medal more than agent Shadow. And after ending Eggman I have an offer I was going to give you next week. Actually this is an offer for all three of you being a team like agent Rouge, agent Shadow and agent Omega."
"Which is?" Sonic asked.
"I'm offering you three a job here."
They stood there in shock.
"You three can stay together of course and get either as much or a little more than Team Dark after being the ones to save us the most. I'm sure if Tails didn't feel safe enough but still wanted to stay he'd help us make new weapons and work on agent Omega when he needs fixing or more."
Sonic, Tails and Knuckles looked at each other.
"What do you guys think?" Sonic asked.
Tails shrugged.
"We have nothing else to do." he said.
"I could ask Tikal and Chaos to look after the Master Emerald." Knuckles said and shrugged to.
Sonic thought for a minute then shrugged.
"After saving the world for so long and ending him I have nothing else to do." he said.
"So you'll work here?" Towers said and they nodded. "Excellent! You can start next week." he said and they nodded again.
After that they headed home and relaxed.
They knew the news of Sonic being the one that really saved them would be out by tomorrow but they promised to stay with him.
