Searching In Yakyakistan - Part 4:

Ice Yak King

After dealing with the Dreadwings and Ape Creatures and more peril in Yakyakistan, Twilight, Rainbow Dash, and Pinkie approached Spike who has been trying to get the door open while the three mares were fighting, yet, however, the door wouldn't budge.

"Any luck, Spike?" Twilight asked as Spike tried pulling on the handles as much as he was capable of.

"No, this door won't seem to even budge a little bit," Spike replied, trying to push and pull the door open.

"Here, Spike, let me give it a try," Rainbow Dash said, as Spike moved aside and the cyan Alicorn mare started giving the door a few good kicks. But the door still didn't budge.

"Hey, maybe we should head this way," Pinkie said, pointing to a tunnel next to them.

The Mane 3 and Spike headed to the tunnel and walked inside.

"Hey, gir-...Oh, hey watch this. Echo!" Spike shouted, hearing his echo bouncing off the surrounding walls.

Twilight, Rainbow, and Pinkie chuckled from the sound of the dragons' echo.

"Ha, ha. Ooh, let me give that a try. HELLOOOOOOOOOO!" Pinkie yelled as she, Twilight, Rainbow, and Spike stopped to listen to her echo.

Instead of hearing Pinkie's echo, they heard a low voice replying instead.

"Hello," The voice of an Ape Creature said.

Twilight, Rainbow, Pinkie, and Spike exited the tunnel to see seven Ape Creatures below them hooting and hollering. Twilight and Rainbow both looked at Spike and Pinkie with annoyed looks on their faces.

"Way to go, Echo Dee and Echo Dumb," Rainbow said to them.

"Sorry." Spike and Pinkie said sheepishly

"Come on, girls. Let's show these Monkeys who're the boss around here," Twilight said with determination as Rainbow and Pinkie nodded their heads.

The three Alicorns flew down and landed as Twilight charged and rammed the first Ape Creature away with her horn as another approached her. But Rainbow Dash cut him off with the blow of wind from her horn. And Pinkie Pie handled some of them by zapping them with lightning. It didn't take long for them to defeat their enemies and after they were all defeated, Twilight and her friends blew some smoke away from their horns in victory.

"Okay, so now that we got rid of those guys, we just need to find Storm Heart and Voltwing," Twilight said, going through the steps of what needs to be done.

"Yeah, but Twilight, those two could be anywhere in these caves," Rainbow Dash stated.

"Oh, Slash sure knows how to hide things that don't belong to him. What do we do?" Pinkie added.

While the girls were talking amongst themselves, Spike heard two strange sounds coming from the tunnel behind them. As Spike got closer, he noticed that those sounds sounded like breathing. Spike turned to the girls and called out to them, "Hey, girls! I think I heard something from this tunnel!".

Twilight, Pinkie, and Rainbow Dash turned to each other in confusion and approached Spike and the tunnel. When they got there, they too heard the sound of breathing as well. Yet, Rainbow Dash and Pinkie for some reason recognize those sounds.

"It's them! Come on!" Rainbow demanded as she and Pinkie ran through the tunnel with Twilight and Spike following behind them.

After they ran through the tunnel, The Mane 3 and Spike flew down and entered some kind of arena made of ice. Twilight, Rainbow, and Pinkie looked around the place as Spike looked ahead and saw something they were looking for.

"Hey, is that them over there?" Spike asked, pointing Twilight and her friends to what he was looking at.

The Mane 3 looked at where Spike was pointing.

Ahead of them, lying down is an Alicorn stallion with a pale yellow coat, electric yellow and cyan striped mane and tail blowback into spiky style, and his wings matched his coat with the outer feathers resembling bolts of lightning. He wore a dark yellow vest with bolt details, over a light tan shirt, rusty yellow shoulder pads, and a pair of brown framed goggles with blue lens, and wrapped around his forelegs were whitish bandages and around his neck was a collar with a gold medallion with a thunder-cloud on it.

And laying next to him a silver-coated alicorn mare with a whitish-gray mane, in pigtails with steel clamps, and the outer feathers of her wings resemble a swirling wind, decked out in silver and purplish-gray armor, with a wind-styled head circlet on her head. Around her neck was a golden medallion with the insignia of a whirlwind on it.

"Yes, that's them. But what happened to them?" Pinkie gasped, seeing the two Alicorns laying down looking all drained and weak, "And why does Voltwing have that gag on his mouth?".

"I don't know. But we gotta help them," Rainbow suggested, spreading her wings.

"Hmm, I don't like this, girls. It's too quiet…too easy," Twilight said, getting a strange feeling that something's not right around here.

"Oh, come on, Twilight. What part was easy? Getting chased and fighting frozen mad cows and snow gorillas?" Spike asked as he flew ahead and approached another frozen being sitting on a frozen throne…

...Until it slowly started to move, and Spike got a very bad vibe.

"Uh, Spike," Twilight said, becoming very concerned.

"Is that what I think it is?" Spike whimpered, pointing behind himself and getting a very bad feeling.

The frozen being begun to stand up from its throne and the ice freezing it broke apart. "AHHHH!" Spike screamed as he flew back and hid behind Twilight as she, Pinkie, and Rainbow Dash looked to see that it was a giant Yak-Troll, or in this case, a Giant Ice Yak King marching down his throne and let out a frightening bellow as he jumped over the unconscious Voltwing and Storm Heart and landed where the Mane 3 and Spike were standing.

"Spike, you stand back. We'll handle this," Twilight said to Spike as she, Pinkie, and Rainbow Dash looked at the creature with determination as the Giant Yak King began approaching them with his shield and sword.

As the Yak King began to approach the three mares, Twilight quickly sends in some Magic bombs at him, exploding and exploding on him. But the Yak King began to use his powers to make the icicles above them fall down on them, but Twilight and her friends dodged them. The Yak King stomped on the ground and created sharp icicle plowers heading toward them, but the three Alicorns quickly jumped out of the way and dodged those too.

Twilight then used her magic bombs again and with all the exploding forces, they managed to destroy his shield. But the Yak King still has his sword as he blows onto it.

The Yak King used his powers again to make the icicles fall down but the Mane 3 managed to dodge them again. And when the Ice King stomped on the ground and more Sharp Icicle Plowers came, the Mane 3 dodged them again as well by jumping up quickly.

Pinkie used her lightning powers and fighting skills as she managed to knock off some of the Yak Kings' armory. Yet the Yak King still won't go down as he tried to hit them with icicles and Sharp Icicle Plowers again, but the three mares have once again jumped and dodged. And Pinkie Pie uses her lightning powers once more knocking more of the Ice King Armory off.

The Yak King collapses to the ground breathing heavily, which means he's getting weaker and weaker enough to be defeated. The Yak King struggles to get back up with his weapon but fell again, and his sword breaks into pieces. But the Ice King got up and was stabled again.

"We almost got him. We just have to hold him off a little longer," Twilight said, seeing that they are very close to beating this thing.

"Then let's give him a taste of his own medicine," Rainbow Dash declared.

The three mares rose up into the air once again and unleashed their Fury Attacks of Magic, Electricity, and Air on the Yak King. Working together, the Mane 3 used their supercharged powers to kick, whack, zap, swat, blow, and even levitate the Yak King until he became much weaker than ever to keep fighting. Then Twilight sent two more magic bombs at the Yak King to finish the job and the giant thing finally collapses to the ground, he tried to get up again but failed and dropped in defeat.

Twilight, Rainbow, and Pinkie were victorious.

After the Yak King was defeated, Rainbow Dash and Pinkie hugged their mentors Voltwing and Storm Heart, who have recovered, happily. Yet, Storm Heart and Voltwing were quite surprised to see their pupils and their new friends handle a monster that was more than their own size.

"It borders on the miraculous, incredible, stupendous, three ponies about your size defeating that…that… thing!" Voltwing, the yellow Alicorn Stallion, said rather quickly, using a lot of vocabulary.

Storm Heart, the silver alicorn mare cleared her throat and said, "What Voltwing is trying to say is thanks to you kids for rescuing us, especially you…Miss…Uh?...," Storm Heart stumbled as she faced Twilight.

"Twilight. My name is Twilight Sparkle," Twilight introduced herself.

"The Alicorn Warrior named Twilight Sparkle. It's amazing. Of course, there were unsubstantiated rumors of the Alicorn Warrior countless generations ago, but most considered it a hearsay, gossip, or legend. It's hard to believe, difficult to fathom, amazing to comprehend…er…um…," Voltwing went on and on.

"It's no wonder they gagged this guy and not Storm Heart," Spike whispered to Rainbow Dash, who nodded in agreement.

"And I thought Pinkie Pie was the only one talking too quickly," Twilight commented, looking at Pinkie, who looked back at her, feeling a little insulted.

"...So much time has passed, so many things have been learned, and now here's the Alicorn Warrior with our pupils, standing right before me and Storm Heart," Voltwing continued.

Spike cleared his throat, "Excuse me, um, Mr. Volt and Mrs. Storm?".

"What's up, little Dragon?" Storm Heart asked, turning to him.

"Shouldn't we get out of this icebox?" Spike suggested.

"Oh, why, of course. But where to?" Voltwing asked, wondering where they are going.

"We're going back to the Temple," Twilight replied.

"Yeah, two old friends of yours are waiting for us there," Pinkie said.

"Celestia and Luna?" Voltwing asked, being surprised.

"The Royal Sisters?" Storm Heart added, in equal surprised.

"Eeyup, that's them alright," Rainbow Dash replied.

"Of course, so many things to tell them, many hypotheses to pose, I believe…," Voltwing said in excitement as Storm Heart rolled her eyes, and Spike, Rainbow, and Twilight groaned. This was going to be a long flight home.
