Chapter 7

As Fubuki and Akagi were walking to the quarters of carrier group one, Fubuki was still contemplating whether or not she should go through with Exatior's instructions. She asked Exatior through her thoughts, "hey Exatior is the answer to your riddle the former PH base where my first battle took place at?"

She could hear Exatior chuckle before saying, "indeed, I'm surprised you figured it out so fast, but then again you've proven your intellect before so maybe I shouldn't be surprised."

"You still want to commit to this, Fubuki," Exatior asked?

"Yes," Fubuki answered, "I swore to myself that I'd do whatever I could to protect those I love, especially Akagi, she's done so much for me and I want to prove to her and myself that it wasn't in vain."

As they arrived, Akagi wished Fubuki a good night before heading to her and Kaga's room, as she continued heading to her and Yuudachi's room, Fubuki decided to try and take a small bag of stuff with her when she would leave and to leave Akagi a note saying that she would be leaving on a personal expedition and to not try and find her. Although the idea of leaving all her friends hurt her heart, she knew it had to be done. She never wanted to be seen as a hero, she never wanted fame or fortune, all she wanted was to ensure that those whom she loved and cherished were safe.

When she arrived, she found Yuudachi waiting for her. As soon as Yuudachi saw her enter, she asked, "how did it go with Akagi?"

"Ok," Fubuki said, closing the door and laying on the bed with a "poof".

"Well, what all did she say," Yuudachi asked, concerned?

"Well first of all she said that she's been noticing that I've been acting differently since yesterday and that she's growing concerned," Fubuki elaborated, turning to look at a picture on her nightstand, it was a group picture of everyone who participated in operation MI, all of them smiling with the hope of victory, Fubuki was standing next to Akagi.

"Well yeah, I think everyone who's known you long enough could tell that you weren't being yourself poi," Yuudachi remarked.

"Was it really that obvious," Fubuki asked?

"Yeah," Yuudachi said, "was that all Akagi said," she then asked?

"Well," Fubuki stammered, "she said that if she notices my condition getting worse, she's gonna ask Nagato if she could get me to see a specialist."

"So she may have you see a psychiatrist," Yuuadchi asked, stunned at the possibility that her friend may be mentally ill.

"Yeah," Fubuki said, sighing contently.

"Well I hope you get better Fubuki, we need you out there ya know," Yuudachi says before yawning, "good night Fubuki."

"Good night Yuudachi," Fubuki says. As she lays in her bed waiting to make sure Yuudachi is really asleep, she quietly gets up and walks to the desk near the door, quickly grabbing a blank sheet of paper and pencil as she sits down. As she stares at the paper, thinking about what to write, it suddenly comes to her and she begins to write.

"Akagi, by the time you read this letter I'll probably be gone now, I'll try and make this as simple as possible, I'm going on a personal expedition, I don't know exactly what may happen but I know what I have to do, I can't let you and everyone else who is dear to me shoulder this burden alone, I'm going to find us help, please don't blame yourself or anyone else for compelling me to do this as this is solely my decision, I know this may deeply sadden you and everyone who I'm glad to call my friend, but don't worry, I promise you I'll return in one piece, but if somehow I don't make it back, I just want you to know, Akagi that you were and still are the best thing that happened to me, when I told you I loved you at the pier before operation MI, I thought that what I felt for you was just a close friendship, but now what I truly feel for you is more than just friendship, I LOVE YOU Akagi, and I always will, please do not try to come after me or stop me, if you got hurt or worse I don't think I could ever forgive myself, I don't know how I'll find others who would help but, they're out there, I know it, all I have to do is find them and convince them. Fubuki"

As Fubuki signed the letter, she made a small heart over the "i" instead of a dot. Looking at what she had just written Fubuki couldn't help but shed a few tears, as they got onto the letter Fubuki cursed herself, hoping that none of the writing would be ruined. She knew what she was about to do, but after she wrote that letter, she knew there was no turning back now.
