Ash, who aims to take on the World Monarch Leon, and Goh, who aims to catch every Pokemon to work his way up to Mew, this is the story of their lovelife and adventures.
Goh POV:
Goh can definetely say one thing for sure. Going to bed after embarassing Ash in the way that he did yesterday, was the most amazing feeling he's ever had. And he only just met Ash, imagine how this will be like in the future! But as for now, today was the first day of Ash and Goh being research fellows for Professor Cerise. Goh looked at his phone while in bed, but suddenly heard the door open and the Mr Mime that Ash's mother left here came through to start cleaning the place. It was all going normal, until it suddenly pulled Ash from bed and he fell on his head, with his butt pointed straight up at Goh. Goh flicnehd, but for some reason he kept staring instead of looking away. No, that's weird he thought.
Ash POV:
After the embarassment that he had to go through last night, Ash hoped that today would be better for him. However, being woken up by hitting your head on the floor after being pulled out of bed by Mr. Mime, was not exactly a good sign. What was a good sign for him however, was when he saw all the food he could have for free at the Cerise Laboratory. Ash and Goh both picked their food and sat down to eat. While eating, Ash tried to make small talk about his battle with Lugia, but for some reason Goh didn't really seam to be paying attention. Ash could not understand why.
Goh POV:
The truth is, Goh didn't like battling. Seeing Ash talk about battling, just made him wanna pay attention to something else instead, and for that reason he opened his phone and paid attention that instead, until he and Ash were called by Cerise to come over. It turns out that there had been a massive outbreak of Ivysaur lately, and as their first mission, Ash and Goh were tasked with finding out what that was about. But before that, Cerise gave them each a Rotom Phone, basically just inserted a Rotom into their phone, to help out. The two researches headed out, where they met with Officer Jenny, who warned them to be ware of Team Rocket. "Team Rocket?" Ash said, shocked. "I've read about them online." added Goh. "Apparently they're bad guys who steal other people's Pokemon. But the bit about the talking Mewoth has to be a lie, yeah?" when he said that he saw a change in Ash's expression, who replied with "Most people would think so, huh?". What did that mean? Does Ash know something Goh doesn't? Oh please, as if Goh would believe that not only an idiot like Ash would be right and he'd be wrong, but also that a Meowth could talk. His thought process was interrupted however, when Ash's Pikachu started running. Ash and Goh followed it, only to find a sturggling Ivysaur hitting it's head across the wall over and over.
Ash POV:
"What's wrong?" Ash asked the Ivysaur, knowing full well it won't answer. Still, it was worth a shot. Thankfully, Goh answered the question for him. "Seems like it wants to get through, but can't". "Let's help it!" Said Ash, but Goh stopped him. Ash was confused as to why. Goh explained that they were here to investigate the Ivysaur outbreak, not to get involved. Ash was surprised to hear his friend say this. "It's in trouble, so we should help it!" He said. Goh just got angrier and told him that it's a mistake to try and help everyone. If a Pokemon can't get through on it's own, that's the end of the line. This infuriated Ash. "What do you mean end of the line?"
Goh POV:
Goh knew Ash was dumb, but not this dumb. If a Pokemon can't get through on it's own, then that's it. Humans shouldn't intervene. "If we helped it, we'd rob it of it's strength to live, yeah?" said Goh, frustrated. "That doesn't make any sense!" said Ash. Of course not to you, you're an idiot, Goh thought. The argument got more and more heated, and Goh almost considered dropping Ash as a friend. The fun of embarassing him was the only thing he was clinging on to right now. Ash went ahead to try and help the Ivysaur, but it just tackled him and sent him flying. 'He really is an idiot' Thought Goh. Thinking Meowth's could talk, talking about battles when Goh was clearly not interested, and now this. "forget it. I'll just investigate on my own" Said Goh, full of dissapointment towards Ash. "Oh will you now? Well suit yourself!" Replied Ash angrily. Goh knew that Ash would let go of this grudge, as he said yesterday, he's too dumb to keep grudges. But Goh wasn't. He would keep this grudge. Their attention was snatched way however when the Ivysaur finally used it's Vines to climb past the wall. They both went ahead and tried to climb the wall too, but somehow Ash climbes it and Goh slipped.
Ash POV:
While Ash was sitting on top of the Brick Wall, he listened to Goh's grunts as he was struggling to climb the wall himself. After the embarassment's of yesterday, hearing Goh being helpless like that gave Ash a feeling of.. something. It wasn't power, he certainly didn't wanna rub it in Goh's face. Despite the argument, Ash didn't hold any grudge towards Goh, so what he was enjoying about Goh being helpless like that was a mystery. The enjoyment ended however, when Goh finally climbed up the wall, and they both looked at the tower in front of them. The Ivysaur seemed to be following in that direction, so they followed too. When they finally got there, the Ivysaur started using their vines to scale the tower, so Ash started following them by climbing on the support structure of the tower. And fortunately for him, the sounds of a helpless Goh returned. Or rather unfortunately, as this time he felt different. This time, his heart told him to help Goh. After all, seeing him struggle and having to rely on Ash, was the best way for revenge after yesterday.
Goh POV:
He couldn't believe it. After constantly down playing Ash as an idiot, which he definetely still was, Goh found himself in need of his assistance. He hated himself for doing so, but he had no choice, and had Ash help him.
Ash POV:
The amount of satisfaction Ash was getting from a helpless Goh relying on him was immeasurable, yet he still couldn't understand why. Regardless of reason, he kept enjoying every helpess sound and movement Goh made, until they finally got to the very top of the tower. There they found all the Bulbasaur and Ivysaur chilling, resting and letting the sunray's warm them and their seed\plants. Since they are researchers, they need to fully understand why the Ivysaur's would do this. Ash had a brilliant idea.
Goh POV:
Ash had a stupid idea. "We might understand them better if we become Ivysaur ourselves"?. Goh might have needed Ash's help, but it's very clear that Ash is still an idiot. Athletic, kind idiot sure, but still an idiot. Regardless, Ash proceeded with his dumb idea anyways, as Goh was uncomfortably stood there watching. However... something came over him. Ash seemed to be having fun so maybe- no. Ash was an idiot, to do the same things he does is foolish. Yet, he always seemed happier than Goh was.. maybe.. just maybe. Goh had to try. He sat there just like Ash, sitting like an Ivysaur, and enjoyed it. Maybe he was wrong. Not about Ash being an idiot, that's for sure, but about the grudge. It was gone. Ash was kind to him and the Ivysaur. And he truly felt at peace. Until suddenly, a net fell down from the sky and captured every Ivysaur. 'What's that?" Asked Goh in a state of confusion. The answer, was Team Rocket. And guess what? They DO have a talking Meowth. It shocked Goh to learn that it was true, and that Ash was right, though he was at ease when he realized that didn't really make Ash any smarter. Either way, Goh noticed Ash was mad at them. He commanded Pikachu to use Iron Tail on the net, and managed to free the Ivysaur and Bulbasaur. That was definetely a good sign. What wasn't a good sign however, was the mysterious machine that fell from the sky, for Team Rocket. They spinned it, and out came two pokeballs, containing a Tyranitar and a Gyarados. 'Great' Thought Goh. An idiot like Ash is the only hope for the Ivysaur not being captured, and he's up against a Tyranitar and Gyarados using only a Pikachu. pikachu was getting destroyed, attack after attack, non stop massacre. At any moment, Goh thought it was over. Yet somehow, Pikachu kept standing up. Kept persevering. Goh didn't understand. However, the moment where it was over finally came. Tyranitar and Gyarados both stared against the Ivysaur and started chargin up their Hyper Beams. No way they could have beat that. It was over. Nothing else he and Ash could do but watch. But then Goh saw something he never thought he would see in any lifetime. Ash simply stood up, across the Hyper Beam. "I won't let you" he said with a determined look on his face. Goh knew this was the stupidest thing he had done yet. But it was also brave. Ash might have been an idiot, but he was kind, brave, athletic, cu-. Why did Goh think that? Of course he wasn't attracted to Ash in any way... was he? The question haunted him. But then he saw Ash. Standing alongside his Partner, Pikachu, smiling at him. Ready to face any danger. That was the answer to Goh's question. Yes he was. He blushed at that moment, knowing that his love was right in front of him. And in danger. Goh's heartbeat spiked, yet he couldn't do anything. He was dead still, in fear. And yet, the impossible happened. With just a simple Thunderbolt, Ash's Pikachu overpowered two hyper beams, a Gyarados and Tyranitar, and sent Team Rocket blasting off. He did it. Ash won. He looked at Ash. Not knowing what to say. He wanted to confess but, he knew. Ash wasn't interested. He didn't know what to do. Thankfully a distraction popped up, as the Bulbsaur and Ivysaur all evolved right in front of them! Ash seemed to enjoy it. And Goh loved spending time looking at something as beautiful as evolution, with his secret love, Ash. When they reported their findings to Cerise, Goh had one question ask Ash. "Could you be my friend-" before being interrupted by Ash who said "What are you talking about? We're already friends, right?" "oh, of course!" Said Goh, embarrased and laughing awkwardly. Thankfully Ash was still too stupid to understand the embarassment that Goh felt at the moment. The problem was however, that Goh still had another thing to ask Ash. If he wanted to be more than friends. But he knew he could never ask that. Yet as he was still in his thoughts, he wished he could at least get a hug from his love. Then suddenly, Yamper started barking, and Ash and Goh hugged each other in fear. Thankfully they were in no danger, as Yamper was barking at Chloe who came home. Then Goh realized, he got what he wished for, and was hugging Ash at that moment. For a moment, he didn't think anything. He just enjoyred the tranquility of the moment, before it ended. When he went to bed, Ash fell asleep before him, and Goh was left thinking. He loves Ash, but he could probably never have him. When their research days are over, they will split paths. So Goh decided, he would do anything he wanted to spend time with Ash. He would have it in his own way, where Ash never knew what was happening, but Goh always got what he wanted with Ash. And maybe when the research days stop, Goh could ask him out. His silence and thought process was stopped when he realized that Pikachu was awake. And even worse, he realized Pikachu knew how he felt about Ash. Pikachu wasn't an idiot like him. Pikachu looked at Goh with a smirk, made a heart shape, pointed to him and Ash, and danced around mockingly. However, Goh could sleep at peace, as he was able to convince Pikachu not to tell us. And who knows? Maybe Pikachu even helps Goh in one of his love schemes, or more. But for now, all Goh could do was think of ways to satisfy his desires with Ash. One is to obviously tease him, as an embarassed Ash is everything to him. The other, he would find a later day. At another time. But for now, he would look at Ash's cute face sleeping, give a thumbs up to Pikachu who did the same, and go to sleep.
