At the science lab just a floor above the police station, an important experiment was underway. Professor Robert Tubing had his eyes on his workspace as he carefully worked on a small rectangle device plugged into his computer; tapping the enter key and uploading some sort of code into the small device. The wheelchair bound professor waited and tapped his fingers against the desk as he mentally counted the percentage on the computer screen.

97%

98%

99%

Professor Tubing smiled as the computer made a noise to say the transfer was completed. He disconnected the device from the computer and took it out; holding it gently as he took a better look at it.

The device he had in his hand resembled a cross between a USB stick and a portable car key. It had a small red button on its side with a very small speaker built in the front. Professor Tubing nodded before wheeling himself away from the computer.

"Bosco? Bosco, where are you?" Tubing called out for his monkey assistant.

The professor heard a squeak before Bosco poked her head around the corner; wondering what the scientist needed.

"Prepare the test subjects, Bosco. It's time for the final test of the device." Tubing ordered of his monkey sidekick.

Bosco nodded and quickly moved to the other side of the lab. She climbed onto a table with various science equipment and devices. But the monkey ignored all those and put her attention to a cube shaped object obscured by a white sheet. Bosco gently pushed the object closer to the edge of table so the wheelchair bound professor could reach it easier. Professor stopped in front of the table and grabbed one end of the sheet. Bosco jumped onto the top of her owners wheelchair and watched as he removed the sheet.

Professor Tubing removed the sheet to reveal a small glass cage. In this cage were three little mice.

One mouse was dark brown with a light brown patch over its right eye. The second mouse was light grey with white spots on its back. The third littlest mouse was light brown with a white patch on its head and slightly bigger than normal ears for a mouse.

Tubing watched as the dark brown mouse and light grey mouse were fighting in the running wheel while the little big eared mouse was minding its own business in the corner. Bosco made a curious squeak as she looked down at the mice.

"Well, Bosco. If this device works correctly; the mice will go into a sleep-like state until I turn it off again or take it out of range." Professor Tubing explained as he removed the lid of the cage. "But there's only one way to know for sure."

Bosco watched in anticipation as Professor Tubing began the experiment. He gently pressed the button with his thumb and waited a couple of seconds before letting go as a small light flashed in the device every couple of seconds. The professor placed the device close to his ear; listening as it let out a very high-pitched buzz continuously. He then moved the device down into the cage close to the mice. The professor and his monkey of science watched and waited for something to happen. After a brief second, the mice began to move rather slowly before all three of them yawned and fell onto the hay cushioned floor of the cage; all three lightly snoring as they began sleeping. Professor Tubing gasped in amazement at the sight of the sleeping mice. He took the device away from inside the cage; watching as the mice woke up from their short slumber. Tubing repeated this three more times before he drew to a conclusion.

"It really works!" the professor exclaimed with a rather excited tone. "We may have a chance to get to him now!"

Professor Tubing reached into his pocket and took out some fruit; giving it to the mice for their cooperation in the short experiment before turning to Bosco.

"Bosco; Get WordGirl on the phone. She needs to see this as soon as possible."

Meanwhile at WordGirls' secret spaceship hideout, Captain Huggyface squealed worryingly as he looked over WordGirls' now bandaged bite; asking if she was feeling okay or worse.

"Bob, I'm fine. You already patched me up well enough at the store." Becky called her sidekick by his citizen name.

WordGirl had removed her helmet when she and Bob entered the hideout; assuming her secret identity as Becky Botsford. Becky kept reassuring Bob that she was fine and no longer in any pain from the bite Two Brains inflicted on her. But the more she thought about it the more confused it left her as she sat down in the pilot seat of the spaceship.

"I just can't get my head around it though. Two Brains hasn't ever tried to bite me before." Becky said as she looked down at the bandaged area. "He left a pretty nasty mark too."

Bob squeaked as he pointed at the area; making Becky as she looked at him.

"It would have been a lot worse if my suit wasn't in way. I know I'm quite durable against most attacks, but I feel like he could've broken the skin with how much it hurt." Becky thought out loud.

Before the superhero and her sidekick could ponder any further, a light alarm sound came of the control panel of the ship with a light blinking every second; indicating that someone was trying to contact them.

"Don't answer that yet, Bob! I gotta put my helmet back on!" Becky quickly said as she put her red helmet on; assuming her superhero identity.

When that was done, WordGirl nodded at her sidekick; giving him the okay to answer the call. Captain Huggyface pushed a button on the control panel and made the alarm sound stop; making the giant screen flicker to life and showed who was calling them.

Professor Robert Tubing.

"Hello? Hello, WordGirl? Is this thing on?"

WordGirl and Huggy could hear Professor Tubing speaking, but they could only see the top half of his head; thinking the professor was having camera trouble.

"Hi, Professor!" WordGirl greeted the scientist. "I think you might have the camera bit too high!"

Professor quietly muttered something as he went to fix the camera; making it go down slightly so the superhero could properly see his face.

"Can you see me now?" The wheelchair bound scientist asked.

"All good!" WordGirl answered while Huggy gave him a thumbs up.

"Ah, very good." The professor muttered before moving to business. "How are you and Huggy, WordGirl?"

"As well as we can be, Professor. We had a run in with Dr Two Brains and his henchmen; caught them stealing cheese like usual."

Professor Tubing briefly lit up at the mention of the mouse brained doctor; quickly speaking up when WordGirl finished her sentence.

"That's actually what I wanted to call you about." The professor stated with a hopeful look.

WordGirl and Captain Huggyface began to listen closely; wondering what Professor Tubing had to say about Dr Two Brains.

"If you're not too busy, my dear; could you and your primate friend come over to my laboratory?" Tubing requested of the superhero duo. "I have something that might be of interest to you. It has something to do with Dr Two Brains and I think it would be better for you both to see it for yourselves."

WordGirl and Captain Huggyface looked at each other for a moment as they considered. Huggyface just held his paws up and shrugged; leaving it up to his partner to decide. WordGirl gave her partner a little nod before turning back to the screen.

"Sure, Professor. We'll be right over." The superhero said with a smile.

Professor Tubing smiled back with an excited clap of anticipation.

"Very good! See you soon, WordGirl; Captain Huggyface." The professor said goodbye before hanging up; leaving the screen black.

WordGirl and Captain Huggyface immediately left the hideout and made their way to Professor Tubings' laboratory; both wondering what he wanted to show them and what it had to do with Dr Two Brains.

Meanwhile at the warehouse, Two Brains quickly unbuckled his seatbelt as Charlie parked the van; getting out as soon as the vehicle was stopped and in park.

"Hey boss; what about the cheese?" Beanie asked as he and Charlie got out of the van.

"Put it in the storage unit and be quick about it!" Dr Two Brains ordered as he rushed inside with both hands on his head.

Beanie blinked in confusion as he looked up at Charlie; just getting a shrug from the mute henchman.

Dr Two Brains rushed to his private corner of the warehouse; pulling a black curtain so he had some level of privacy. With an anxious breath, he took a seat on the concrete floor and crossed his legs; getting ready to go into a trance as he steadied his breathing and closed his eyes. The two brained doctor felt himself going into a trance as his breathing finally reached a steady pattern; everything around him drowning out and going quiet.

Two brains opened his eyes again. Finding himself not in the corner of his lair, but seated on a purple armchair in a yellow room that almost looked like it was made of cheese. The super villain stood up from the chair with a look of disdain as he looked around the room; wondering where Squeaky was hiding.

"Where are you, rodent?" Two Brains muttered under his mindscape breath.

Before he could wander any further, a high-pitched growl made its way behind the two brained doctor; making him quickly turn around.

There he was. Dr Two Brains narrowed his brow as he spotted Squeaky sitting on top of the chair; his rodent claws digging into the fabric as he gave his human host an annoyed stare.

"We had an agreement, Squeaky!" Dr Two Brains raised his voice out of nowhere. "We agreed that you can't fully take over my body without my consent!"

Squeaky growled again as he stood on his hind legs; back hunched over like an angry werewolf.

"Alien girl was going to capture us. Squeaky stopped us from being taken to jail." The Mouse brain reasoned; showing no remorse for what he did.

"You bit her!" Two Brains argued as he raised his voice a bit more. "Do you have idea how much you hurt her!? She was literally crying!"

"Why do you care?" Squeaky questioned. "She's our enemy. She stops us from getting cheese."

Dr Two Brains stomped his foot on the floor as he took a step towards the mouse on the armchair.

"That's not the point!" He yelled out with an angry stare that could kill a man. "You took over without consulting me first and you did something that I am not okay with you doing! She's just a child for cheese sake! She didn't deserve that!"

"Alien girl deserves the worst pain!" Squeaky growled back as he jumped off the top of the chair and onto the seat. "Squeaky would claw her eyes out if Squeaky could!"

Two Brains almost gasped in horror as the mouse said such vile words; looking flabbergasted as the mouse gave his host an evil mousey grin with its sharp teeth.

But Two Brains quickly found himself narrowing his brow; giving the rodent an enraged and almost demonic glare.

"You'll do no such thing."

Squeaky immediately dropped the grin as Two Brains started stomping towards the chair with his fist clenched.

"45... 46..."

Beanie and Charlie were in the middle of counting the cheese they and the doc stole from the store when they heard an odd noise coming from the corner that their boss ran off too. Charlie and Beanie listened and watched the curtain nervously as They both heard Two Brains beginning to talk to himself.

"...No... Such, thing..."

Two Brains' henchmen both heard the doctor mumble some oddly worded things; like he was tiredly arguing with someone. They both knew that their boss would sometimes go behind the curtain to telepathically commune with his second brain; but that was usually a bit rare and he never talked out loud for anyone to hear. Charlie moved closely to Beanie and whispered something into his ear.

"I don't know, Charlie. Maybe one of us should go check on him and see if he's okay." Beanie suggested as he looked up at his friend.

Charlie nervously looked the other way as he twiddled his thumbs; his cheeks turning a bit red. Beanie nodded in understanding and patted his friend on the shoulder.

"It's okay, Charlie. I'll go have a look." The starter henchman offered and reassured; slowly walking towards the curtain and the strange noise coming from it.

Squeaky took a step back as Two Brains loomed over the rodent; one hand gripping one arm of the chair with surprisingly brute force.

"Listen to me." The doctor pointed at the psychotic mouse; continuing the death glare as he spoke quite roughly in tone. "You need to remember who this body belongs to. You already demand cheese to the point where I'm terrified of going to get a check-up from a doctor because God knows I've probably got heart problems or something. You make me have headaches that put me out of commission for two whole days just because you get all pissy when you don't get what you want. I have to deal with your constant yelling and squeaking to the point where I can't even hear my own thoughts!"

Two Brains took a moment to breathe before he continued to the last straw.

"I can put up with all of that." The doctor spoke as calmly as he could. "But you do not get to harm WordGirl; not after what happened last time you took over. So don't ever do it again."

Two Brains watched as Squeaky lowered his head; thinking the mouse may have actually taken his words to heart.

But the doctor felt a cold sensation make its way into his guts when he heard Squeaky begin to laugh; sounding like a high-pitched demon.

"Squeaky thinks human brain care too much about alien girl."

Two Brains blinked in confusion as the mouse lifted up his head and gave his human host a sharp fanged grin; his high-pitched laugh slowly quieting down.

"Or is that just you?... Steven."

Two Brains felt his eyes widen at the mention of that name. Squeaky just spat it out like it was some kind of joke; slowly laughing again as the doctor felt his fingers gripping the chair so hard, he could rip the fabric. As Squeakys' laugher grew harder and somehow more demonic, Two Brains' eyes narrowed and bared his teeth as he let out a frustrated growl.

"HOW DARE YOU!"

Squeaky only stopped laughing when Two Brains aggressively grabbed him with both hands; shaking the mouse violently as he continued to shout.

"YOU DON'T GET TO CALL ME THAT!" Two Brains shouted; not wanting to be called by his name like it was a joke to the rodent. "YOU DON'T HAVE THE RIGHT; YOU VILE RA-"

Two Brains was stopped mid-sentence when he felt Squeaky bite one of his fingers; still feeling pain from it even with gloves. Two Brains yelped in pain; letting go of the mouse and holding the bitten finger while cursing under his breath as he turned his back to the mouse. The doctor did not pay any attention to his surrounding until he noticed a shadow looming over him; a large mouse shaped shadow.

"Don't forget who you're stuck with, human."

Dr Two Brains quickly turned around to be snatched by a giant rodent claw; the wind being knock out of him as he felt his torso being squeezed like a stress toy. Two Brains stared with wide red eyes as a giant room filling version of Squeaky looked down at him; his red rodent eyes glowing like demonic headlights as he growled at his human host.

"Squeaky will remain second brain for now." Squeaky said with a strong amount of venom in his words as he pointed at Two Brains. "But if WordGirl tries to capture us again, Squeaky will-"

"Hey, Boss?"

Two Brains and Squeaky heard a familiar voice call out from the outside. Squeaky twitched in confusion and loosened his grip on Two Brains while Two Brains immediately recognized the voice.

"Boss?"

Two Brains watched Squeaky scratch his ear with his free claw. But Two Brains' vision was quickly going Blurry; making him shut his eyes tightly as a ringing sound rung in his ears.

Dr Two Brains felt somebody put their hand on his shoulder and gently shake him out of his trance. With a start, Two Brains opened his eyes and took a few breaths; looking up to see Beanie kneeling next to him and Charlie watching from afar. The doctor looked at the red beanie henchman in confusion.

"W-what you doing back here?" Dr Two Brains questioned; trying to sound demanding but coming off confused. "You and Charlie are supposed to be putting the cheese away!"

"We are boss; we are." Beanie spoke in his and his partners defence.

Beanie looked over at Charlie briefly before turning back to their boss.

"It's just that we heard you talking to yourself back here and making some weird noises. So, we just wanted to make sure you were okay; that's all." The red beanie henchman explained; hoping his boss would not get mad over their concern.

Dr Two Brains blinked once before he briefly looked down at the floor in thought. He should not reprimand his henchmen for being worried about him. Bless their hearts; they both cared so much when they really did not need to. Two Brains just scratched his head before looking back up at Beanie.

"It's nothing for you and Charlie to worry about. The mouse brain and I were just having a disagreement." The moused Brained doctor reassured as he stood up and brushed himself off.

When he finished brushing off whatever dirt he took with him off the concrete floor, Two Brains noticed that red beanie henchman was giving a rather concerned look; Charlie doing the same form a distance.

"What're you looking at me like that for?" Dr Two Brains asked; getting weirded out by the staring.

"You were talking to... him again?" Beanie henchman asked; not wanting to refer to the other brain by name.

Two Brains could tell from the tone in the man's voice, that Squeaky was not really something his henchmen really liked to talk or think about; considering what happened that one time Two Brains allowed him to takeover for one day.

"Boys, don't worry." Two Brains just waved off their worries as he walked over to his work station. "I had a talk with Squeaky and we had an agreement that he won't take over my body without my consent. I mean, he did make me black for a few seconds today at the store. But I gave him a stern talking to and sorted it out."

Charlie nervously walked up to Beanie and whispered something in his ear. Beanie shared the same nervous as he relayed the words to their boss.

"We believe ya, Boss. It's just that you've actually Been doing that a lot lately and Charlie and I are getting kind of worried that you might go all feral again." Beanie explained what he and Charlie thought about the situation.

Dr Two Brains glanced down at the floor as he crossed his arms in mild annoyance. He knew his henchmen meant well and were only looking out for him, but he could only take so much at a time. He briefly took a deep breath and exhaled before responding.

"It won't happen again. I promise; after you told me what happened, I'm not going to let Squeaky take over again." He held one hand up with the other over his chest as he reassured his henchmen. "Scouts honour; I swear by it."

Beanie and Charlie looked at each other with uncertainty for a few moments. But they both nodded in agreement with reassured smiles; thinking it was best to trust their boss.

"Okay boss. We trust you." The red beanie henchman spoke for himself and Charlie.

Two Brains walked up to his henchmen and gave them both pats on their heads with a smile.

"That's the spirit, boys." He talked to them like a father to his sons before stepping back. "Now if you'll excuse me; I'll be making more plans for us to steal cheese. You two can go do what you want for the next six hours before dinner."

Charlie and Beanie smiled as they went off to go spend their free time doing something fun like play cards or watch day time game shows on the TV. When the pair were out of his sight, Two Brains stopped smiling; replacing it with a frown of anxious worry as he walked off to make plans to steal more cheese...

Just to keep Squeaky from getting angry for now...
