The next Morning, Becky woke up to the sound of her alarm clock; quickly sitting up as loud buzzing invaded her ears. The young teen reached towards clock and pressed the button to turn it off. Becky rubbed the heavy sleep from her eyes before she looked at the time displayed on the clock.
6:50 AM
Becky nodded to herself she before she turned to Bob sleeping in his hammock; sitting up and reaching over to gently shake him awake.
"Bob? Hey, Bob?" Becky barely spoke above a whisper as she gently shook the Primates' shoulder.
After a couple of attempts, Bob finally woke up with a slow yawn and a tired stretch; looking up at Becky with his eyes half closed.
"Sorry to wake you so early, Bob. But I need to ask you a favour." Becky apologized as she reached for her nightstand and picked up the mse. "I'm going to try and talk to Dr Two Brains before school. Would it be ok if you took my backpack and lunch and waited for me at school later?"
Bob rubbed the sleep from his eyes before nodding and giving a thumbs up.
"Thanks, Bob." Becky thanked her friend as she got up and pick out some clothes to wear for the day. "I'll meet you at school and tell you how it went."
Bob nodded again before yawning and pushing himself off of his hammock. Before falling down to the floor and falling asleep with a loud snore. Becky quickly reset the alarm clock so Bob would wake up later before quickly went to the bathroom to get dressed. After so quickly but quietly made her way to the kitchen; walking past her Tjs' room as he still slept.
Becky made herself some cereal with pieces of fruit in it, packed some lunch for herself and Bob to take to school and wrote a note to leave on the table for her parents and brother to know what she was doing.
"Went to school early this morning to help Scoops and Violet with a project. See you later this afternoon.
Love, Becky"
With all that out of the way, Becky quietly grabbed the mse, made her way outside to the backyard and locked the door behind her. The young teen looked around to make sure no one was watching or looking into the yard. When she knew for sure nobody had eyes on her, she put her hand to her chest and said the words.
"Word up!"
A burst of light flashed as a golden star formed from Beckys' chest; changing from her civilian form into her super suit and assuming her superhero identity as WordGirl when the light dimmed down. With that done, WordGirl bolted herself off the ground and flew into the air; making her way into the city to complete her mission.
Meanwhile in the old warehouse; Dr Two Brains was sound asleep in his bed as he snored rather loudly; having kicked all the blankets and sheets off and leaving him only with his pyjamas as he laid there. If one was to look at the doctor in that moment, they would think he was sleeping quite deeply and soundly. But that would not last long this morning.
Two Brains stopped snoring and began to toss and turn as his mouse brain began to glow and convulse; giving him an increasingly bad headache as it demanded cheese.
"Five more minutes..." Two Brains tiredly said as he tried to ignore the pain; really wanting the extra sleep.
But Squeaky was having none of that. Two Brains put a hand to his head as it starting pounding like a heavy metal drum; hearing Squeaky yelling in his head repeatedly.
"CHEESE NOW!"
With a frustrated groan, Two Brains pushed himself up off his pillow and dragged himself out of bed; knocking over a framed photo of a man and a woman he just had there for some reason. The doctor did not bother putting it back. He was too focused on getting some cheese to appease his second bring; hoping to dull or even cease his current headache. With a tired and slouched walk, he made his way to the warehouses kitchen; being careful not to wake his henchmen as he prepared to make himself a couple slices of cheddar on toast.
As the mouse brained doctor got the needed ingredients out and attempted lit the grill, he and his second brain had no idea they were being watched from one of the windows.
WordGirl peaked through one of the warehouses' side windows as she floated in the air; getting a look as Two Brains started making himself an early breakfast. The superhero looked around for an opening into the warehouse; seeing a broken window that was big enough for her to fly through and back again without getting cut by loose glass shards. That's when she thought of her plan.
WordGirl quickly brainstormed how she was going to do this. She would turn the mse on, quickly fly through the open broken window, grab Two Brains and fly back out the window with him. When she got him outside, she would plant the device on him and put him down on top of a nearby building so she could talk to him. Now seemed like the right time to put her plan into action; seeing as Two Brains was hopefully distracted while making his breakfast. With a deep breath and an exhale, WordGirl took out the mse and held down the button to activate it; watching as the small light started blinking every couple of seconds.
"Here goes nothing." The superhero said to herself as she got into position.
Counting down from three in her head, WordGirl activated her super speed and launched herself into the air; quickly turning around and flying into the broken window. Two Brains had no time to react at all until he found himself floating over a building roof.
"What the-!? Where am I!?" The doctor gasped; knowing he was in the warehouse slicing cheese just a second ago.
The two brained doctor only realized he was being held up by a familiar foe when he turned around and saw his arch nemesis looking at him.
"WordGirl?!" He shouted with wide shocked eyes as he felt a headache coming on. "No, no, let me go! You'll make him angry!"
WordGirl had to act quickly. She could see Two Brains bringing his hands to his head and starting to hyperventilate. The superhero quickly put the lanyard over his head before his arms and hands got in the way; lowering him down as he held his head while letting put a painful groan while on his knees.
Two Brains knew Squeaky was trying to take control; feeling like his head was going to crack open from the intense pain the mouse was inflicting on him. He knew he was going to black out at any moment as Squeaky squeaked and yelled loudly in his head. But something was different.
The yelling and the squeaking began to quiet down. In a few seconds, the noises kept quieting down...
Until there was nothing.
Two Brains blinked in confusion as his breathing became steady; taking his hands away from his head as the pain stopped; realising he could think clearly and hear his own thoughts.
"It's... It's quiet..." Two Brains whispered in a mix of astonishment and confusion as he stood up; looking out towards the city as he heard all different sounds of the morning in the distance.
WordGirl lowered herself down to the flat surface of the roof and stood on her feet; watching as Two Brains looked around aimlessly like he was lost. The superhero approached the villain with caution to avoid shocking or scaring him; reaching out to gently lay her hand on his shoulder.
"Dr Two Brains?" She spoke above a whisper as she gently laid a hand on the doctors shoulder.
But Two Brains flinched and quickly turned around as soon as he felt someone touching him. He stopped and stared for a couple of moments before his human brain caught up with him on what was happening.
"Squeaky is never this quiet." Dr Two Brains spoke in a worried and shaky tone; not even trying to hide it in front of WordGirl. "W-what did you do?!"
WordGirl could see that Two Brains was quickly growing more and more anxious by the second. She quickly put up her hands and spoke to him gently.
"It's alright, Doc; just take a deep breath." WordGirl tried to tell him to calm down. "I just want to talk to you."
Dr Two Brains raised an anxious eyebrow at the superhero before looking down and noticing the device attached to the lanyard around his neck; grabbing it before giving WordGirl a distrustful and suspicious stare.
"What is this? Some kind of weird USB? Is there a tracking device in here?!" The two brained doctor bombarded his enemy with impatient questions as he pulled on it. "You're not putting me under house arrest!"
WordGirl gasped and quickly grabbed the man before he could take the mse off; not wanting him to wake his second brain up.
"No, don't take the mse off yet! Please; hear me out first." WordGirl asked of the supervillain to listen to what she wanted to say.
WordGirl watched as Dr Two Brains continued giving her a distrustful stare. But he seemed to relaxed a little as he let go of the lanyard and the device attached to it.
"Go on." Dr Two Brains said calmly; even he looked like he wanted to run.
WordGirl let go of the doctors arm before taking a calming breath and began to explain why she was here. Or at least why she put him on top of some random roof.
"Professor Tubing asked me and Huggy to come by his lab yesterday." WordGirl began to explain as well as she possibly could. "He made a device that puts out high pitched frequencies that when heard by mice puts them to sleep. That's what I put on you with the lanyard and why you can't hear Squeaky."
Dr Two Brains blinked and had another look at the device; only now noticing the little speaker and holding it close to his ear. WordGirl nervously stared as the doctor gave her a still distrustful stare.
"What're you playing at, WordGirl?" Dr Two Brains asked as he tried to sound intimidating, but coming off as anxious.
WordGirl knew she had to word her sentences carefully. She could tell Two Brains was ready to try and run to get away from her. With a calming breath, she explained further.
"Professor Tubing says that he knows a way to... to get rid of your mouse brain."
WordGirl watched anxiously as Two Brains softened his glare; slowly turning it into a confused stare as the gears in his heads came to a slow halt.
"Come again?" Two Brains asked WordGirl to repeat herself.
"I said, Professor Tubing wants to help you remove the mouse brain with surgery." WordGirl repeated herself; being more specific and honest. "He made the device so Squeaky can't influence you when I talk to you about it."
Dr Two Brains gave the superhero a wide-eyed stare at the mention of surgery; taking a step back and shaking his head.
"Okay; putting the mention of cutting me open without consulting me first aside for a moment, I'm pretty sure Tubing tried to convince me to get rid of Squeaky a few years ago." The mouse brained doctor recalled as he tapped his temple with a rather condescending tone. "And I'm also pretty sure I said no. Guess what?"
WordGirl watched as Dr Two Brains crossed his arms and gave her a rather condescending grin as he tilted his head slightly to the side.
"My answer is still no." He said before frowning again and turning his back to the superhero with a quick turn. "So, hate to disappoint you, kid; but you're not gonna change my mind."
WordGirl gave the man a hard look as she processed his words. She knew he was going to be hard to convince. But dang it all, she was not going to give up on him. Not now.
"Two Brains; I know you're probably used to that... brain by now. But I really think you should hear the professor out." WordGirl tried to reason with super villain; floating off the roof and moving in front of him to talk to him face to face.
Two Brains huffed and turned around again with a disinterested frown.
"Giving up the mouse brain means giving up being Dr Two Brains, kid. If I don't have that, I have nothing. It's too late to go back now." Two Brains continued to decline the offer.
"You don't know that!" WordGirl raised her voice slightly; finding the man's stubbornness mildly irradiating but also concerning.
Two Brains continued facing away from the preteen; finding her angered tone to be a bit off putting with how quickly it came up. His disinterested frown was slowly turning into a blank look of shame and guilt as WordGirl continued to speak.
"You were a great scientist before Squeaky turned you evil! You were my friend!" WordGirl continued as she began to unintentionally rant and vent. "Why do you think you have anything to lose if you give up being a supervillain? You had so much already when you were Steven box-"
"STOP!"
WordGirl barely got the last word out as Dr Two Brains quickly turned back around and faced WordGirl; giving her an angered glare of disdain as he pointed straight at her.
"Don't call me that." The doctor warned; making the superhero float back as he raised his voice. "Stop thinking that I'm your old friend. I'm not Steven. I haven't been Steven for a long time. As far as anyone knows or even cares, Steven either went missing or died a long a time ago. You and some other people have already learned to deal with it; so why is it bothering you so much know?"
WordGirl wanted to raise her voice back at him. But she needed to keep her cool and stand her ground. She put herself down and stood on the roof; keeping eye contact with his angered glare as she looked up at him and rolled down her down her left glove.
"Because I know that deep down, Squeaky is hurting you." WordGirl spoke without breaking eye contact; not looking down at her bandaged arm from yesterday.
Dr Two Brains stopped giving the girl an angered look as it was replaced with a blank stare. But it quickly turned back into shame and guilt as he recalled the incident at the store yesterday... As he recalled WordGirl looking up at him with pain induced tears in her eyes. As he recalled the heated argument with Squeaky in his head and Squeakys' threat of what he would do if WordGirl ever captured them again. The doctor turned away and sighed heavily as he rubbed the back of his neck; trying not to make eye contact as he spoke up.
"I know you're only trying to help me, kid. But think about it for a minute." He said as he continued to look away and avoid eye contact. "Even if I did agree to getting Squeaky cut out, I'm still a criminal. Does Tubing even know what will even happen if I go through with it? How's it going to be done? What's going to happen after it's gone? I won't have anywhere to go! I'll still be a wanted supervillain with a criminal record! And then there's my henchmen and the other villains! I can't just leave my henchmen without jobs and the villain society will either think I was captured and forced to do it; or they'll think I had the mouse brain removed willingly and that I've given up my life of cheese-based villainy! I could lose a lot of respect from them and get booted out of the society altogether!"
"But if you explain to them how much the brain hurts you, they might understand." WordGirl tried to reassure the doctor as she looked up at him with a smile of reassurance; making him look at her in the eye.
Dr Two Brains just gave WordGirl a deflated stare. She did not know the other villains like he did, and none of the other villains knew about his former life before he became Dr Two Brains. They would not understand if he went through with what Professor Tubing had in mind.
But somehow... a small part of him wanted to go through with it. Something in him wanted to know a way out of being controlled and playing second fiddle to a crazy mouse; even if it meant losing some of the good things he had now. With a heavy sigh, the doctor looked straight at the superhero and asked.
"Can I have a day to think about it?"
WordGirl blinked once as she heard the doctor ask that question. She kept a calm and collected face and nodded.
"Yeah. When you decide tomorrow, call out for me and I'll come and get you." The superhero said as she began to float above the roof. "I'll take you back to your lair."
WordGirl was about to take hold of the doctor to fly him back to his lair when he took a step back.
"Wait, hang on. I wanna say something first." Two Brains quickly said as he stepped back.
WordGirl stopped and looked at the doctor; listening closely for what he wanted to say.
"I'm... sorry for what happened at the store yesterday." Two Brains apologized before he continued. "Squeaky kind of just hijacked my body at that moment and I really didn't mean to hurt you like that. I even told him to knock it off after I-"
Two Brains fell suddenly silent as WordGirl wrapped her arms around his middle; making him look down with a dumbfounded stare as the superhero hugged as tight as she could without hurting him.
"I know you didn't hurt me on purpose. You don't have to apologise." WordGirl said as she held onto her former friend.
Dr Two Brains was not really sure how to respond WordGirl forgiving him so easily; even though she kind of just waved off his apology. The super villain just put a hand on her back and gave her rather awkward pat as he looked away; his face turning a bit red from embarrassment. After a few seconds, WordGirl broke the hug up and lifted Dr Two Brains off the roof bridal style in her arms effortlessly; intending to take him back to his lair to think about what WordGirl said.
"Promise me you won't take the device off and you'll think about Professor Tubings' offer?" WordGirl asked Two Brains to at least consider.
Dr Two Brains rolled his eyes in the other direction as he grumbled something under his breath.
"I'll keep this Soundwave thingy on; but I can't promise that I'll consider getting that surgery!" Two Brains said with a rather stubborn tone and crossed his arms.
WordGirl gave the doctor a little smile. She knew Dr Two Brains would at least think about it. In a couple of seconds, WordGirl safely dropped Two Brains off in his lair right where she grabbed him; in the kitchen in front of the counter. Two Brains tried to watch her leave through the broken window, but she was a bit too fast for his eyes to process as she flew; probably off to go and fight the other villains and what not. As he stood in front of the counter top where he was previously making his breakfast, he held the device hanging on his neck; realising how quiet this warehouse was without Squeaky practically screaming at him in his head. He thought if Squeaky ever stopped talking to him, he would somehow miss it.
But for some reason... The silence was comforting in a way. For the first time in years, he could hear and process his own thoughts.
He felt... relieved.
"Morning, Boss."
Two Brains almost jumped as he suddenly heard his henchmen calling out and making their way to the warehouse kitchen. He quickly took the device and his it under his shirt so the boys would not see it.
"Uh... morning, boys!" the mouse brained doctor spoke with a shaky voice as he turned to face his henchmen. "You guys are up early."
Two Brains saw Charlie and red beanie standing there in their pyjamas. Charlie rubbed his eye with a tired yawn while red beanie henchman gave his boss a confused look.
"It's only five past seven in the morning, Boss." Beanie pointed at the digital clock built into the stove top. "You don't usually get up until nine. So, it's a little early for you."
Two Brains took a moment to register what beanie said before he himself looked at the clock; letting out a rather quiet 'oh' before looking back at his henchmen.
"Oh, I didn't realise. I woke up feeling a little foggy this morning." The super villain said with an awkward smile as he scratched the right side of his head.
Charlie and Beanie gave each other concerned looks before moving towards their boss to look at him closer; making the mouse brained doctor give them both a nervous stare before Charlie placed a hand on his forehead.
"You look a little pale, Boss. Are you feeling okay?" Beanie asked before Charlie whispered something into his ear. "Charlie says that you're a bit warm."
Two Brains was about to reassure the boys that he was fine. But he quickly noticed that he felt a bit light headed. He kept his hand on his head as he felt mild ache. Not as horrible as the headaches Squeaky would frequently give him. All this sudden silence must have been a bit much at first. But Two Brains wanted to make the most of it.
"Well, actually; I do feel a little under the weather. Guess that's why I woke up a little early." The mouse brained villain said as he turned around. "I think I'll go back to bed."
"You need anything, Boss? Charlie and I can get you a glass of water or maybe some cheese if you want." Beanie said as he tried to help Two Brains back to bed.
"Yes. But I can get myself to bed, thanks... um..." Two Brains had trouble getting his last words out; trying to remember something. "I'm sorry; you're name always escapes me."
Beanie gave his boss a confused look as Charlie came back with a glass of water and five slices of cheese.
"My name's Joey, Boss." Beanie reminded his employer; feeling like he told him this more than once.
Two Brains almost slapped his own forehead as he remembered with the henchman's help.
"Joey! Yeah, Joey." Two Brains repeated it a couple of times for getting back on topic. "I'm sure you guys are concerned and are just looking out for me. But I'm just going back to bed. And you know what? How about you boys have the day off?"
Charlie and Joey tilted their heads a little as Two Brains took the water and the cheese slices from the larger henchman.
"Are you sure you wanna give us the day off? What if you need something?" Joey asked; thinking their employer could get worse through the day.
"If I need anything, I'll tell or call for you. Go on, you boys go do whatever you want. I'll be okay." Two Brains reassured his henchmen to go and enjoy their day off; heading off to bed to nurse his apparent headache.
Dr Two Brains moved himself to his own little corner of the warehouse; listening in on his henchmen when he was out of their sight.
"I don't know, Charlie. I just feel a little worried about the boss." Joey said with concern in his tone. "He's been so weird since he had an argument with his mouse brain yesterday."
Two Brains felt a bit of a twinge in his chest as Joey voiced his concerns; setting his glass of water down on his nightstand before eating the cheese slices as he continued to listen. He could hear Joey sigh.
"You're right, Charlie. We should have a little trust in him. We'll just let him rest and check him later." Joey said before speaking in a happier tone. "Maybe we should see if Big-Left-Hand Guy and Invisabill wanna come bowling with us."
Two Brains stopped listening after the boys started planning how they wanted to spend their day off. Noticing he finished off those slices of cheese in no time at all, he took himself to bed. But not without accidentally kicking something on the floor. Two looked down to see the photo frame he accidentally knocked down earlier; face down on the floor. The doctor bent down and picked up the framed photo; turning it over as he got back up. Two Brains blinked as he looked at the photo; showing a happy young man wearing a rather ugly green sweater standing beside a woman who looked a bit similar to him outside a fancy looking building.
Two Brains knew who the man was. Himself before the accident that turned him into Dr Two Brains. He could barely even recognize himself; looking at a lock of his now wild white as snow hair and comparing it to the tidy brunette in the photo. At least he knew what he used to look like. Eyes that were a dark blue instead rodent red, no whiskers that made his face itch from time to time and no mouse brain sticking out and making it difficult to wash his hair. But the woman in the photo was just unknown to him at this point. Maybe some was a friend, or maybe a relative. But no matter how much he tried; he just could not recall.
Two Brains just let out a rather depressed sigh before putting the photo back on the night stand and putting himself onto the bed. The mouse brained doctor pulled up the sheets and blankets before lying down on his back; looking up at the ceiling as the silence made itself known. He hated to admit it. He had gotten used to the constant internal yelling and high-pitched screaming that Squeaky would do to him on a daily basis. The first few years of were not so bad; but for the last couple of years, Squeaky just got worse and worse. It would lead up to the point were Two Brains would be awake all night and got zero amount of sleep.
"It's so quiet." Two Brains thought to himself as his eyelids slowly became heavy.
The mouse brained doctor could hear his own thoughts clearly as well as what was going on around him; finding rather soothing as his eyes closed and fell into a much need nap.
"It's so quiet..."
Becky poked her head around the corner of the schools gardening supply shed; making sure no one was looking in her direction as she proceeded to change out of her hero attire. She looked back and put her hand to her chest; a brief flash appearing before she was back in her regular civilian clothes. With that out of the way, she quickly made her way to the front of the school where Bob was waiting with her backpack full of her school supplies; standing beside the door as students walked in.
"Bob!" She called out and waved as she made her way towards him.
Bob quickly noticed the super powered teen coming towards him. The monkey quickly gave Becky her backpack as he let out a questioning squeak.
"I'll tell you what happened when we meet up with Violet and Scoops." Becky told Bob as she put her backpack on.
With that, the pair made enter into the school and made way to Scoops' new office where he wrote news articles for the daily rag. Becky and Bob walked past the janitors supply closet, where the pre-teen reporter used to do his work with the school paper. But now he was moved to a much more suitable and cleaner office in the school library; complete with a door with his name on it.
After a couple of minutes, Becky and Bob made it to the library and the new office; knocking three times to see if anyone was inside at this hour.
"Come on in!" Becky Scoops' voice on the other side of the door.
Becky immediately took that offer and opened the door to the office to see her friends in there. Scoops was sitting at a desk cleaning the screen of a computer while Violet was sorting out some boxes. Becky smiled a bit as she spoke up.
"Well, this certainly beats the supply closet."
Becky and Bob watched as their two friends looked up from what they were doing; both lighting up with welcoming smiles when they saw the duo.
"Becky! Bob!" Violet ran up and hugged her friend and her primate buddy; wrapping her arms around them like a friendly octopus.
Becky gently hugged back; only using a very small fraction of her strength so she would not hurt Violet. Scoops stopped what he was doing at the current moment and walked up to the visitors to welcome them to the new office.
"Becky! Bob! Great to see you guys." Scoops welcomed the pair with a brief hug before he wandered out loud. "But you don't usually come to school this early in the morning. Did you... have something come up."
Becky broke away from her friends to make sure the door to the office was closed; quickly making sure no one was listening in on them.
"That's actually what I wanted to tell you guys about." Becky said as closed the door and put her bag down on a nearby chair. "I think there might be something going on with Dr Two Brains."
"Oh? What's he done now? Is he planning on turning the public pool into a cheese fountain?" Scoops asked as he quickly grabbed his notepad to write down anything Becky was going to say.
"Actually, no... It's something else."
Scoops and Violet stopped when they noticed that Becky began to look mildly distressed; making them both think Two Brains might have done something more serious then turning something into cheese.
"What happened?" Violet asked with a concerned tone in her voice.
Becky carefully considered her words as she held her left arm; playing with the sleeve before she spoke.
"I caught Two Brains and his henchmen stealing cheese from the grocery store yesterday; nothing that he wouldn't usually do. But when I caught him after chasing him... He bit me."
Scoops and Violet both gasped when Becky lifted her sleeve and showed them the bandaging on her arm; both getting a closer look as they both wondered how bad it actually was.
"Dr Two Brains bit you on the arm?" Violet asked in concerned worry as she gently held Beckys' arm to look at it.
"Was it painful? Who bandaged you up? Has Two Brains ever done this before?" Scoops asked a bunch of questions as he got ready to start writing stuff down.
"Okay, just hang on for a minute." Becky requested that they slow down before she answered their questions and explained further. "Yeah; he bit me. It did hurt, but it's not so bad now. Bob patched me up as soon as he could and no, Two Brains hasn't ever tried to bite me before. But that's what I'm worried about. He didn't remember doing it and I think he blacked out when it happened. His mouse brain must have been in control for a few moments when he bit me."
"Didn't you tell us something similar happened a few years ago? You said he let the mouse brain take over for a day." Scoops recalled Becky telling him what happened.
"Yeah. It made him go a bit psycho." Violet added; remembering Becky telling her that story sometime after she found out she was WordGirl.
Becky nodded before she continued.
"But me and Bob got a call from Professor Tubing sometime later. He said he wanted to talk to me about Dr Two Brains and that he might have found a way to remove the mouse brain."
Violet and Scoops both gave their friend rather surprised stares before she continued to explain.
"The professor made a device that could put the mouse brain in type of sleep state; he even showed me how it works and demonstrated on some mice he had. He said if I could turn it on and plant it on him, I could try and talk him into getting the surgery and having the second brain taken off."
"What did Dr Two Brains say?" Violet asked what the moused Brained doctor said about the offer.
Becky looked down at the floor as a feeling of uncertainty came over her.
"It took a while to even get him to consider. He said that he'll think about it. But he won't make any promises that he'll go through with it." Becky recalled what Two Brains said to her. "So yeah. That was my morning."
Scoops put his notepad down as a surprised look stayed on his face.
"Wow. I mean; imagine if he does go through with it. Fair City would be a lot more peaceful." The teen reporter thought of how weird a world without Dr Two Brains would be. "Although that does make you wander what would happen after the procedure."
"Yes. He wouldn't really be Dr Two Brains anymore; would he?" Violet pondered out loud before asking another question related to the matter. "Will he even want to give up being a criminal?"
Becky Sighed as she folded her arms and leaned back against the wall; looking down at the floor as she spoke.
"Honestly, I really don't know." The super powered teen said with her most honest answer. "It's just up to him to decide now. Then it'll be a bridge to cross when we get to it."
