Sonic was on the Crimson Egg unconcusses.
After the two worlds splitting up six years ago Sonic was forced to staying on earth and still works for GUN.
Towers had sent her on a mission to find Chris and Chaos Controlled to Mobius ending up found by Eggman on her back unconcusses from using so much strength.
The Blue Typhoon was cruising onward, the red Chaos Emerald could be seen floating in space. Reflections of Sonic the Hedgehog can be seen on the Emerald.
"Sonic..." Chris said voiceover.
Then he saw himself trying to plead with Sonic.
"It's useless. I made a promise to Maria, and I'm keeping it." Sonic said.
Chris started toward her.
"Sonic, getting revenge won't bring Maria back." he said.
"So what?"
"There's still time to stop this, Shadow! Please, you have to listen to me!"
Then he saw Super Sonic and Super Shadow holding back Space Station ARK.
"You can do it, Shadow!" Tails said.
"Give it all you got, Sonic!" Eggman said.
"If you fail, the entire planet will be destroyed!" Rouge said.
"Those people need you, Sonic..." Maria said.
"I am Sonic! Sonic the Hedgehog!" Sonic said and cast off her limiter, greatly intensifying her strength. "You ready?"
"Yes. Here we come!" he said and they prepared a lot of energy.
"Chaos..." Shadow started.
"Control!" Sonic said.
After they used Chaos Control to teleport the space station back into the atmosphere, Shadow handed Chris one of Sonic's limiter. Chris allowed a single tear to fall on it.
On the Blue Typhoon an alarm light next to Chris' bed flashed, awakening him from his sleep. He pressed a button answering the radio call he had just received.
"What's going on, Tails?" Chris asked on the radio.
"Chris, come to the bridge right away! I think we've found another one!" Tails said on the radio.
"Okay. I'll be right there." he said then felt his forehead. "Man, that sure was a weird dream..."
Then he reached over picked up one of Sonic's limiters, and studied it.
Later Shadow and Tails saw Chris entering the bridge.
"Hey Chris, it's coming from- Huh?" Tails said but he just walked past them and took his seat.
"What's up, buddy? You don't look so good." he said.
"Uh... I don't?" Chris said.
"You're all sweaty."
"Yeah, I'm okay. Weird nightmare." Chris said and wiped his forehead.
"Well, good thing it's over."
Meanwhile the Crimson Egg Rouge was at Sonic's room.
"Let's see..." she said then ran over, and saw the red Chaos Emerald installed in the Project Sonic machine. "How pretty. I couldn't possibly resist."
But the moment she touched the Chaos Emerald, an alarm went throughout the ship.
"Aahh! I take that back!"
At the Cockpit Decoe and Bocoe sat up straight in their seats.
"The alarm! The alarm!" Decoe and Bocoe said.
"Intruder in the secret laboratory!" Bokkun said.
Decoe and Bocoe got up and ran in circles in a panic.
Decoe and Bocoe cross talked.
Back at Sonic's room the alarm was still going off and Rouge saw Project Sonic in the stasis chamber.
"Sonic? What in the world's she doing here? I haven't seen her since-" she started but was cut off.
"Well, if it isn't my old friend Rouge." someone said and Rouge turned to see Eggman behind her. "I see you've stumbled upon my shadowy little secret." he said and bent down to Sonic.
"And here I thought I was the sneaky one. What are you up to, anyway?"
"You will find out all in good time, my sly little spy, but not until I'm good and ready." he said and the door to the Sonic's room opened. "Out!"
"I'll save this for ya, Eggy - you sure know how to keep a gal in suspense." she said and left the room.
Eggman followed her own and resealed the door. Decoe and Bocoe approached him.
"Dr. Eggman!" Decoe said.
"There is an intruder on board!" Bocoe said when Bokkun joined them, but hid behind Bocoe at the sight of Rouge.
"It is her, Doctor! She is the intruder!" Decoe said.
"Ridiculous! ... Rouge is a member of our team. She is our guest." Eggman said.
Decoe and Bocoe glanced at each other, while Bokkun looked nervous, thinking about the locket.
"From now on, it's all about teamwork. Right, fellas?" Rouge said then leaned in toward Bokkun and gently tapped him. "Bokkie knows about teamwork, doesn't he?"
Bokkun shivered in fear.
In space the Blue Typhoon emerged from hyperspace above the planet Hobidon.
Chris, Knuckles, Tails, and Cream were on the bridge.
"The ship's scanner isn't showing any signs of life below. Maybe the Metarex took this Planet Egg away too." Chris said.
"Wow, if this keeps happening, there'll be no planets left anywhere in the galaxy! We've gotta stop 'em somehow, and fast!" Tails said.
"You're right."
A holo-image of the planet's surface was shown. It was a gloomy place. Two points were plotted at a run-down building.
"The Chaos Emerald is somewhere up ahead in those ruins." Tails said and showed a pot containing a wrecked tower.
"Yeah, but where exactly?" Chris asked.
"There's only one way to find out."
"This'll be a cinch. All we have to do is split into two groups. I'll go with Sonic." Amy said.
"Why do you always get to go with Shadow?" Tails asked.
"I'll tell you why. Throughout history, behind every great hero, there's a great woman guiding him!"
"Really?"
Shadow shrugged.
Later on the Hobidon Chris, Shadow, Amy, Cosmo, and Knuckles were deciding who will go where.
"We'll use our comlinks to stay in contact." Chris said.
With Shadow's team Shadow, Amy, and Knuckles were starting to cross an old bridge. Amy was annoyed at Knuckles' presence.
"Why do you have to tag along, anyway? Shadow and I can do just fine on our own, thank you very much. You're just excess baggage!" Amy said.
"This wasn't my idea. You're no picnic either, you know." Knuckles said.
"Oh, let's just get on with it!" she said and yanked Shadow along with her.
With Chris' team Chris and Cosmo were standing in front of a ruined space colony.
"Looks like this was some kind of space colony." Chris said.
"Until the Metarex came." Cosmo said.
"I guess so. I wonder how long it's been deserted?"
On the Blue Typhoon Bridge.
"Amy, have you checked inside that old castle yet?" Tails asked on the comlink.
Back with Shadow's group.
"According to my scanner, the Chaos energy is much stronger in there. I think you should make that the first place you look." she said and lead them through the front gates of an old abandoned house. "Good idea, Tails. We're heading in now." she said.
A thick mist covered them as they proceed. Knuckles and Shadow found themselves walking slower with caution.
"Amy, you getting a reading?" Knuckles asked.
Amy was still looking at her comlink, reading the data.
"No, Knuckles. I'm looking at my wrist for the fun of it." she said sarcastic.
"Just a simple question." he said to Shadow annoyed.
"Just drop it." Shadow said.
Then in the abandoned house they were inside the house. There were two staircases, old portraits, and a chandelier swinging freely above them. Amy almost thought she saw a giant glowing eye in the middle of where the chandelier attaches to the ceiling.
"Let's see here... My unerringly accurate search instincts are telling me this is the right place to start!" she said and ran up one of the staircases.
The others followed her down a corridor. They walked carefully down the corridor, stopping in front of a wooden door.
"Let's see if this opens..." she said and carefully pushed the door open, and they advanced through the room.
A blip on the Comm. showed that the Chaos Emerald was on the other side of a door. Amy pushed open the door and entered the room. She looked around the small room to see that there was no Emerald there.
"But... Why would it lead us to an empty room?" she said and Shadow and Knuckles entered the room.
"Well?" Shadow said.
The blip moved to the other side of the wall.
"That Chaos Emerald is moving!" Knuckles said.
Suddenly the door slammed and the room was bathed in an intensely bright light. Amy clung to Shadow in fright. Knuckles punched the door down and gaped at what he saw.
"What is this?!" he said and they left the room to see that they were now in a larger, entirely different room.
"I'm not so sure I really want to know." Amy said.
"Don't just stand there! Check the scanner!" he said.
Shadow symbol and the flashing word ERROR appeared on the screen.
"It disappeared!" Shadow said shocked.
"But that's impossible!" Amy said.
"Unless..." he started.
"It's some kind of trap." Knuckles finished.
"Well, we'll never know until we find out." Shadow said and continued on, followed by Knuckles and Amy.
Shadow opened a door and saw a figure at the end of a corridor.
"I don't like this." Amy said and Shadow approached them. "Don't you think we should send Knuckles in first?" she asked and ran after Shadow.
Knuckles shrugged and walked after them.
At the abandoned space colony Chris and Cosmo beamed flashlights around the dark room.
"This must have been the center of the colony's operations." Chris said.
"I'll see if I can find anything over here." Cosmo said.
As she started walking, she accidentally tripped and dropped her flashlight over a railing into the room below.
"That was clumsy! I'll go get it." she said and got up and leapt over the railing, floating down into the room below.
Then she quickly retrieved her flashlight.
"There we go." she said.
"You all right down there, Cosmo?" Chris asked.
"Yes. Everything's okay!" she said and accidentally pressed a button, which beamed a light across the room, illuminating the floating dust.
At the abandoned house Shadow, Amy, and Knuckles approached the figures. They turned out to be their own reflections in a mirror.
"Just as I thought. They're trying to confuse us, but it won't work!" Amy said and leaned against the mirror, but it spun, sending her through to a room on the other side.

"Amy!" Shadow said he and Knuckles crashed through the mirror tumbling into empty space.
Then they hit their heads on the ground below, and slowly sat up. Amy ran over and hugged Shadow. They slowly stood up.
"Somebody's playin' with us!" Knuckles said.
"Well, I don't like this game anymore." Amy said.
They looked up to see that the glowing eye was back. Just as quickly as it appeared, it was gone.
"Shadow, I think it's time we got out of here." Amy said.
"Hang on to me, Amy."
Amy grabbed onto him, and they leap through a window into another room. A strange feeling fell on them. Shadow opened one of the doors but there was a wall right in front of it. Knuckles opened another door with another wall.
"We're walled in." he said.
There was also a wall in front of a door Amy opened.
"Now what?" Amy asked and Shadow closed his door.
At the abandoned space colony Chris and Cosmo were watching a video projection recorded by an alien called a Hobidon, a former resident of the space colony.
"If you are watching this, then you have somehow found a way onto our home planet which was destroyed along with most of its citizens many years ago by evil Metarex monsters. Those of us who survived built this space colony in the hopes that one day we could make contact with others, and eventually restore the glory of our planet, but the monsters destroyed it as well." Hobidon said in recording and static started to appear. "All is lost. Destroy them, or they will destroy you."
Then the transmission ended.
"Why did they do it, Chris?" Cosmo asked.
After a moment of silence, they left the colony.
"How could we be foolish enough to think we could ever defeat them?" she asked but Chris said nothing. "Chris?"
"Yeah?" he said.
"You look like you're lost in another world?"
"Just thinking about one."
"You are?"
"You know, it's kind of funny... I had a strange dream last night about my friend Sonic." he said and saw Sonic. "Just when everyone in my world had lost hope, she and Shadow made us believe again. Plenty of times actually."
"You mean there's someone else like Shadow?"
Chris smiled, eyes glistening a little. Just then Cosmo's comlink went off. She answers it.
"We've got an emergency!" Tails said over the comlink.
On the Blue Typhoon Bridge.
"I lost 'em! My link with Amy cut off and I can't get through anymore!" he said on the comlink.
At the Hobidon.
"What's going on?" Chris asked.
"Chris, the castle!" Cosmo said.
He turned and saw she was pointing at a large castle in the distance.
In the abandoned house the walls appeared to be rippling. Shadow leapt toward the wall, only to fly through it and out of the castle.
"Gotcha!" someone said.
Shadow landed on the wing of Chris' spaceship which he was flying.
"Thanks!" Shadow said and leapt off the plane and phased through the roof back into the room Knuckles and Amy were in, seeing the wall isn't real. "Time to fly, Knuckles!"
Then, with Knuckles carrying Amy, they all leapt out of the abandoned castle and onto solid ground outside. Suddenly, one of the castle's towers disintegrated, and the nanites that once comprised it fly toward Shadow, grabbing him. Chris fired lasers at the nanites, but they flew through it. They dragged Shadow down into a purple swamp.
"Oh no!" Chris said.
The manites were Metarex Deserd, which was still under the swamp.
"It appears your friend Shadow has sunk to an entirely new low!" Deserd said.
"It's talking!" Knuckles said.
"You meddling fools thought you could destroy us, but in the end, it is us who will destroy you!"
Amy and Knuckles approached the swamp.
"Shadow!" Amy said.
"Hang on!" Chris said and did a loop in midair and flew toward Deserd
Deserd launched its nanites at him, and he dodged. Then he fired a ring into the swamp. Powered by the ring, Shadow hurdled out of the swamp. However, Deserd cut him off and transformed into a metal wall, causing him to bounce back. Knuckles ran toward him.
"I'm coming!" Knuckles said.
"Okay!" Shadow said.
They linked their hands and started spinning like they did with the Egg Battleship.
Together they spun right through the wall that was Deserd creating a hole in it, and land on the other side. However, Deserd quickly filled the hole back up.
"Who knows what that thing is gonna turn into next!" Knuckles said.
On the Crimson Egg Eggman, Decoe, Bocoe, and Rouge watched the battle.
"Shadow and Knuckles are sure having a time of it." Decoe said.
"That's one tricky Metarex." Bocoe said.
"Speaking of tricky, I have an assignment for you, Rouge." Eggman said.
"Oh yeah? I was wondering when you would say that." she said.
"This assignment will require a great deal of skill on your part. If it is done to my satisfaction, you will get a Chaos Emerald!"
Immediately Decoe, Bocoe, and Bokkun panicked.
"Give her a Chaos Emerald?! She's a double-crosser!" Bokkun said.
"Why the sudden generosity, Eggy?" Rouge asked.
"Just feeling magnanimous is all." Eggman said.
"I'd be touched if it wasn't pure baloney." she said wagging a finger.
"Now, don't be that way. Don't you at least want to hear what my brilliant plan is?" he asked with Shadow in the stasis chamber.
"Okay, but only for the Emerald."
"I promise you won't regret it." he said and laughed.
On the Blue Typhoon bridge Cream looked at a monitor.
"Okay, Tails, the lasers at full power. We've got the target locked!" she said.
"Fire the laser in scatter mode!" Tails said.
"Ready!"
The cone of the Typhoon fired a laser that spread and impacted Deserd, which was still a metal wall.
"It's a bulls-eye!" Cream said.
"Chao chao!" Cheese said.
On the Hobidon.
"They got it!" Knuckles said.
However, Deserd was not beaten. It reforms as a spiraling mass of nanites in the air, before changing into a giant toothy mouth.
"Enough of your child's play! Your weapons have no effect on our omnipresent evil! Haha! Your destruction is at hand. It is too late to turn back!" Deserd said and fired arrows of blue light that fell in groups of three around Knuckles, Sonic, and Amy, who ran for their lives.
On the Blue Typhoon bridge.
"Okay! Activate laser shield right away!" Tails said.
"Okay, Tails!" Cream said.
At the Hobidon Chris had a hard time dodging the arrows. Shadow ran under the Typhoon.
"We can take shelter under here!" he said so Knuckles and Amy joined him, and the arrows were deflected by the Typhoon's shield.
On the Blue Typhoon Bridge.
"It's too powerful for us, Tails! I don't think the shield can hold on for much longer!" Cream said.
"Stay calm. We're not gonna let this thing beat us." Tails said.
As the ship shook, the radar detected three blips.
"Hold steady..." he said and the light outside caused by Deserd intensifies.
On the Hobidon Tails appeared on Chris' video screen.
"I'm pretty sure that weird Metarex up ahead swallowed the Chaos Emeralds. We may beat it if Shadow uses the Ring Tunnel." he said over video.
"Roger! Shadow!" Chris said and launched a new pair of sneakers onto him. "Ring Tunnel!" he said and fired a steady stream of Power Rings toward him.

"Okay!" Shadow said and used his sneakers to fly through the middles of the rings.
The rings ware projected toward Deserd.
"Let him have it, Shadow!" Chris said.
"You betcha!" Shadow said and dodged the light arrows and hurtled toward a core, the power source of Deserd.
However, upon making contact with the core, he was electrocuted.
"Oh no!" Chris, Cosmo, Tails, Cream, Knuckles and Amy said.
"This will be the end of you, Shadow!" Deserd said and laughed.:
The electricity stopped, and Shadow plummeted unconscious toward the ground.
On the Blue Typhoon bridge.
"What do we do? He's been hurt!" Cosmo asked.
On the Hobidon Chris flew toward Shadow.
"I'm coming!" he said.
Shadow slowly opened his eyes and saw Chris approaching. Deserd unleashed his light arrows again.
"Turn around! It's too dangerous!" he said.
But Chris was determined.
"I don't care!" he said then crafted his struck by the arrows and went down.
"Chris!"
Something unexpected happened. As the red Chaos Emerald in the Project Sonic machine glowed, one of Sonic's limiters appeared in front of Chris, also glowing red. Chris cried out.
On the Crimson Egg Eggman's command chair descended into the rooms below.
"Sonic? What's happening in there?" Eggman asked.
"Hey, wait for me!" Rouge said quickly joining him.
The hench-bots peer down.
Suddenly the Project Sonic machine exploded. As black smoke billowed from the machine, Sonic emerged from it bearing the red Chaos Emerald. As Rouge and Eggman approach, Sonic looked around before sensing the presence of the purple Chaos Emerald. She looked down at the Emerald as it started to glow. Eggman entered the code to open the door.
"Now, what's that blasted code again?" he asked.
"Time for Chaos Control." Sonic said and vanished seconds before Eggman and Rouge entered the room.
On the Hobidon Chris continued to fly toward Sonic.
"Chris, noooo!" Shadow said.
Suddenly a beam of light whizzed by he, deflected off of Chris' spaceship, and struck the core, blowing it up and effectively destroying Deserd. Knuckles and Amy held on so they weren't blown away by the explosion's shock wave. As Shadow landed on one of the castle's towers, everyone looked as the clouds clear away, revealing a crescent moon. Shadow looked over to see Sonic standing on another tower. The red and purple Chaos Emeralds orbit him.
"What in the world? Whoa!" Shadow said.
Everyone was surprised to see Sonic standing there... except Chris, who was out cold on the ground. He woke up and saw Sonic.
"Am I seeing things...?" he said and Sonic stood there. "Sonic!"
Her eyes met Chris' for the briefest moment.
"Chaos Control!" she said and used Chaos Control to leave.
"But she was..."
Everyone was speechless at the sudden return of Sonic the Hedgehog.
'How did she get here? She works for GUN at earth!' Shadow thought.
On the Crimson Egg Sonic appeared in front of an astonished Eggman and Rouge.
"Sonic!" Eggman said.
Then she collapsed, having exerted too much energy from the two Chaos Emeralds glowed brightly.
