It was just an ordinary day when Kaede turned in for bed that night. Well, except for on thing.
Flashback
"Whats today?" Church asks, walking into the common area where the rest of Blue team was gathered.
"Dude, its the same day as five years ago when we adopted Kaede so its her birthday!" Tucker exclaims.
"Yes! Birthday party's are the best!" Caboose exclaims. "Especially unexpected surprises." he adds darkly.
"Really? We adopted her on the date of her birth?" Church questions.
"Well... no." Kaede explains. "I don't actually know when I was born, so we decided to celebrate today."
"If you don't know, why not just take one of those medical tests?" Church asks.
"Uh... what?" Kaede question.
"We can take them anytime." Church explains. "Just send them a blood sample or something and they got all that crap covered."
Present
Anti-climactic, but at least she now knows her real birthday. It is July 2nd by the way. It was kinda disappointing though, they just missed her birthday by a month. Nevertheless, it was still a joy to learn that piece of information, and with that Kaede fell asleep happy.
Meanwhile, Tucker and Church were also passed out on their bunks, however, Caboose was wide awake as he looked over the three sleeping forms.
"This girl is quite powerful." He said to himself in his deep voice. "Some kind of mind power. If I infect her for tonight, I may learn what it is and use it for universal domination. Ha-" He then cut himself off. "Stupid O'mally. Don't evilly laugh at a time like this."
He then grabbed Kaede's blue team helmet and very carefully, lifted her head and slid it on her. Once it was on, he turned on the radio.
"The door is open." O'mally smirked to himself before leaving Cabooses mind and jumping into Kaede's.
"Wha?" Caboose says, looking around. "I feel tired all of a sudden." He then flops onto the floor and falls asleep.
Entering Kaede's mind, O'mally was greeted with darkness in every direction.
"Well, this is a surprise. The only one who doesn't seem like they're an idiot and there's nothing here." O'mally says to himself. "How am I supposed to learn the secret of her powers when there is nothing here!"
"Its simple. You don't." A voice whispers to him.
"Holy crap!" O'mally exclaims, jumping back to be greeted by the sight of Kaede, only she was different. The aura of this mental Kaede felt different. Her head was covered in bandages with only one eye being visible. This eye was purple as opposed to red. Additionally, she was also completely naked.
"Aw! Dear God, put some clothes on for Pete's sake! This is a mental image so, that shouldn't be a problem!" O'mally exclaims.
"You are not familiar. Kaede has never met you, nor are you anything she has thought up." The girl says.
"Wait... you aren't her? You a sister or something?" O'mally asks.
"I am her inner Diclonius DNA, a guiding voice to set her on the path to her destiny." The girl informs.
"Oh? And whats that?" O'mally asks.
"To end the human race, and the replacement of it with Diclonius." DNA voice answers.
"Uh... what?" O'mally gapes.
"Its is her purpose, as the queen of Diclonii, she must wipe the world of humanity to replace it with her own. She would have been set on that path, had it not been for those insufferable soldiers. Because of them, she refuses her destiny." The girl explains.
"I see. Why not just take over the insufferable brat!" O'mally exclaims.
"If only it were that easy." DNA voice says. "I can only start to gain more control once she kills with her vectors, but until then I can only continue to nudge her into her hatred for humanity."
"I see... I propose an alliance." O'mally suggests.
"Oh?" DNA voice says, intrigued.
"I'll get the brat to hate humanity, thus giving you whatever control it grants you, once that happens you help me with a little project I'm working on." O'mally explains.
"I see. You will get Kaede to see the humans must be killed?" DNA voice confirms.
"I shall!" O'mally exclaims. "Then, once I do, you are to help me take over the Covenant!"
"What is this Covenant?" DNA voice asks.
"They are a large group of aliens that, like you, also want the useless vermin that is humanity wiped out! I have a plan to take control of them!" O'mally announces.
"Oh, and what would that be?" DNA voice asks.
"It is very complicated to explain. I just need one of the idiots to claim a sword that has significance to the aliens beliefs. My partner should know its whereabouts soon, but until then I need just one of the morons to claim it. Then my plan can commence." O'mally explains. "But do not let the brat touch it! Even with her powers! Otherwise the sword will be bound to her and I will have to use her..."
"I see. Get her to hate humanity, and I shall do as wish." DNA voice says.
"Hahahahahahahaha! We shall be triumphant!" O'mally exclaims as he holds out his hand. "To universal domination!"
"Yes. To the end of humanity." DNA voice agrees, shaking his hand.
"I will do my job, just insure you hold up your end of the bargain." O'mally says before leaving.
Once O'mally is gone, DNA voice is left on her lonesome. "That fool thinks I will work with him. He is just the anger of a human personified into an artificial intelligence. That makes him human too. Once he shows Kaede that humans are to be killed, I will end him... then once we have eradicated humanity, we shall replace this Covenant as well."
O'mally returns to Caboose body and picks himself off the floor.
'That fool!' O'mally thinks to himself. 'What good is ruling over humanity when its destroyed. She doesn't have to know my plans for after taking over the Covenant. With her they change slightly. Rather than using the covenants superior numbers and technology to rule over humanity, I will use them to subjugate her pathetic race instead! Once I've killed her, I shall rule over the galaxy as supreme emperor of everything!'
O'mally laughs to himself as he guides Caboose to his bed and lies down, letting the blue sleep the rest of the night away. The two inner voices did like the idea of working together, but they knew their end goals conflicted with one another. Thus the game of deception has started between the two, with the universe as their game board and the reds and blues as their pieces.
AN: Fun fact, Kaede's birthday IS officially July 2nd. Lynn Okamoto said so himself. Just thought that was something I should throw out there for those who didn't know.
