Ash, who aims to defeat the World Monarch, Leon, and Goh, who dreams of catching every Pokemon to work his way up to Mew, this is the story of their lovelife and adventures.
Ash's POV:
Ash awoke earlier than Goh, which didn't happen often. This was not without reason however. Yesterday, Ash had for the first time in his life, fallen in love. And it was with none other than the boy in the top bunk, Goh. Ash wanted to wake before Goh, so Ash could take a look at the boy he loved while asleep. Ash climbed up the ladder, careful as to not disturb Goh's peaceful sleep. Ash looked at him. He was gorgeous. Ash had never fallen in love before, and all of this was new to him. He thought about confessing how he felt to Goh, but was so sure that Goh would refuse. Ash did know that Goh was gay, but Goh had shown zero signs of being interested in him. Ash had to seek advice from someone, but who could he tell without embarrassing himself? He couldn't tell Professor Cerise or Chloe, as that would be risking Goh finding out. Maybe that would be a good thing, but Ash didn't want to risk losing his first love interest. He thought about asking his own mother, but if he didn't get to be with Goh that would haunt him forever. He wanted to tell someone he knew his could trust, but someone who had no way of interacting with Goh. But who could that be? Ash tried to think, but his thought process was interrupted when he realized Goh was waking up.
Goh's POV:
Goh woke up today ready for another day of tormenting Ash. He had caught three Pokemon yesterday, but hadn't used any on Ash since the boy was having a rough day. Today however, he'd be sure to embarrass Ash with them. He opened his eyes to take a look at the sleeping boy at the bottom bunk and... huh? "What are you doing here?" Goh asked, seeing Ash was looking at him from the ladder. "I- uh- uh- I-" Ash was trying to say something, but kept stuttering on top of his own words. "You weren't planning on doing anything to me were you?" Goh accused him. "Uh- of course not!" Ash said, sweating for some reason. "Then what were you doing?" Goh asked him. "I.. uh.. just.. ha-happened to.. wake up! Before you! And.. wanted to check. If you! Were.. awake!" Ash said, still sweating. Goh could actually hear Ash's heart beating. Whatever it was, Goh didn't think it was worth his time and he got down, then the two boys went to eat breakfast, and then went to the Cerise Park. "T-T-That's...!" Goh said, when Chloe's Yamper gifted him a Leaf Stone, a stone that could make certain Pokemon evolve. "Thank you, Yamper!" Goh said, petting the electrical pup. But what would Goh use the Leaf Stone on? His answer was right in front of him, literally, as his Exeggcute were staring at him. Perfect! Exeggcute was a Grass and Psychic type, so was it's evolution. Two perfect types for tormenting Ash with. Grass, having moves like Vine Whip which could wrap themselves around Ash constricting his body, and Psychic, which could literally take ahold of Ash and control his figure, having free reign over every decision his body made while affected by Psychic moves. So of course, a Leaf Stone, would only power Exeggcute up, making it stronger! Goh didn't hesitate, and evolved his Exeggcute into an Exeggutor.
Ash's POV:
"Yeah!" Goh cheered, as his Pokemon evolved. Ash was happy to see Goh smile. He wished he had some way to get Goh to love him back.. if only he knew some place where... Ash looked at Goh's Exeggutor, and it reminded him of an Alolan Exeggutor. That was it! Alola! Ash had lived in Alola for some time, and only left just a couple weeks before meeting Goh. He had a second family there. It was the perfect place to take Goh to! "I'd really like you to meet Alolan Exeggutor!" Ash told the handsome boy. "Are the Alolan ones really all that different?" Goh asked him. "Yeah! They're like.. THIS huge!" Ash said, looking upwards and spreading his arms around, hopefully sending Goh the correct message. Thankfully, Goh seemed impressed, and Professor Cerise gave them tickets for a flight to Alola. "What's Alola like, Ash?" Goh asked while they were on the plane. "You'll love it! It's amazing!" Ash said. "That doesn't really help.." Goh said. "Well... I guess you'll see!" Ash said, and then waited until they landed at their destination, the Alola Region's Melemele Island. "Ash!" A voice called, as soon as they left the airport. Ash knew that voice. "Professor Kukui!" Ash said, running to see the Professor. "Welcome back!" Kukui said, patting the boy on the head. "I'm glad to be back!" Ash told him. "Sheesh. You had to run off on your own" Goh said, as he caught up to Ash. "Sorry! Professor Kukui is a teacher at the Pokemon School in Alola, and... Hey, where's Professor Burnet?" Ash started telling Goh, then asked Kukui. "She's waiting at home" Kukui answered him. "I see" Ash said, then turned to face Goh. "The Professors are my Alolan Family, as well as Pikachu's" "Family?" Goh asked. "Alola, Goh" Kukui told him. "A-Alola" Goh said back, slightly nervous for some reason. "Aren't those a Raboot and Sobble?" Kukui marveled, looking at Goh's Pokemon. "It's my first time seeing them in person. Did you catch them in Galar Goh?" Kukui asked Goh. "Y-Yes" Goh said, still inexplicably nervous. "You ready to get in the car now?" Kukui asked the two boys. "Yes!" Goh said. "Get in Goh, I wanna tell Ash something in private" Kukui told him. "Oh.. s-sure!" Goh said, getting in the back of Kukui's car. "This is him right?" Kukui asked Ash privately. Ash had contacted him in secret and told him about his feelings towards Goh, which thankfully didn't at all weird out the Professor. Instead, he seemed to be proud of Ash, which was good. "Yeah, what do you think?" Ash asked him. "I think he's a good fit for you" Kukui said, smiling at him, as they both then got in the car and drove off to Kukui's house. "Welcome home, you two!" Kukui's wife, Professor Burnet said as she opened the door to greet Ash. "Alola, Professor Burnet!" Ash said, as he then looked down to see she was carrying a baby in her arms, which had not been born when Ash left Alola. "And... Lei, was it?" He said, kneeling down to meet the Professor's baby. "That's right... Big brother Ash" Burnet said smiling, looking at Ash. "Big brother..?" Ash said, happy. He always wanted a sibling, having grown up as a single child. When he first met Goh, he thought of him as a sibling at times, but now had evolved to much more. He was happy to finally have his own sibling however. "Nice to meet you, Lei" Ash said, greeting the baby, as he and Goh then went inside of the house. As soon as they got in, Ash's old Pokemon from his travels in Alola rushed to hug him. "Rowlet! Lycanroc! Incineroar! Melmetal!" Ash said, greeting each and everyone of them, before they all drowned him in embraces. "I really missed you all!" He told them. "Everyone, these are my friends, Goh, Raboot and Sobble!" Ash told them. Kukui had already informed the Pokemon of Ash's feelings towards Goh, and Ash just used the word "friend" in order to keep up appearances as to not disturb Goh. Ash's Pokemon then stopped embracing him, looked over at Goh, and rushed in to do the same to him, Ash joining in too. As Ash was having fun introducing Goh to his Alolan Family, Burnet informed them that Ash's friend, Mallow had organized a party at the Pokemon School for the two. Ash hadn't told his friends yet about his love for Goh, but knew that Kukui must have told them. "All right! I'll make sure to be there!" Ash said to her. "Welcome party? For me, too?" Goh asked nervously. Ash still didn't understand the nervousness.
Goh's POV:
"We're off!" Ash and Goh said in unison, as they left the Professor's house. Although Goh liked Kukui and Burnet, he had to admit he felt relieved to be alone with Ash again. "If I find an Exeggutor, I'm totally catching it!" Goh told Ash, as they were running. Goh already had an Exeggutor at home, but an Alolan one too would double Ash's embarrassing misfortune. "Any other regional variants, too!" Goh said, wanting to catch as many Pokemon to torment Ash with when they got home. When they were running, Goh stopped for a little bit, to admire Alola's beach and ocean. "Isn't it beautiful?" Ash asked him, almost romantically. At least, Goh wished it was romantically, but he was most likely imagining it. "Yeah" he said, and then enjoyed the view with Ash for a bit. "Nothing beats the seas of Alola" Ash told him. Goh then saw a small Pokemon that had washed up to shore. "It's a Pyukumuku!" Ash said in excitement, looking at it. Goh looked at his Raboot who tried to scoot it with it's leg, only for Pyukumuku to release a fist from it's mouth and punch Raboot in the face. No way. This was perfect for tormenting Ash! With no hesitation, Goh threw his Pokeball and caught it. Later, when they were at a forest, Goh spotted another Pokemon he wanted to catch. A Grubbin. Not only could it shoot string, which Goh knew was an effective method to embarrass Ash with, but it could also dig holes and shoot electricity. Can't get much better than that. Ash and Goh chased it through the forest, as it dug itself into the ground to escape. However, it still left a trail of dirt wherever it went, so Goh knew where to chase it. "Hold it!" He shouted at the Grubbin. "I will catch you!" Goh said as he leapt over it, looking at the Pokemon about to emerge from underneath the dirt which was a... Alolan Dugtrio? Goh was confused, as he was chasing Grubbin, and as he fell to the floor he lost his balance and fell off the cliff, landing in the water with his Pokemon. Luckily for him, he was fished up by a girl with a fishing rod. "Alola! Mr. Soaked" the girl told him. "Alola.. actually.. I appreciate the greeting, but I'd be happier if you let me down.." Goh said, still hooked on to the side of her Fishing Rod. "Sorry" she said, letting him step on her Lapras. "You really saved me" he thanked her. "I'm Lana, you?" The girl introduced herself. "Goh" he said, introducing himself. "Wait, are you Ash's friend?!" Lana asked him. It appears she knew who Ash was.
Ash's POV:
Ash was in the forest, looking for Goh. They somehow got split up when chasing Grubbin. Ash was worried. Goh didn't know Alola. Was he ok? Had something happened to him? If anything, ANYTHING had happened to Goh, Ash would never forgive himself for dragging him to Alola. "Goh!" Ash called out over and over, searching for him. "Ash! Pikachu!" A familiar robotic voice said. Ash knew who it was. It was his old Rotom Pokedex, from when he was living in Alola! "Rotom!" Ash said, happy to see his friend. "Everyone's waiting for you at the Pokemon School, so I came to get you roto!" Rotom told him. "But I lost my friend, Goh..." Ash told him. He used the word "friend" as he was unsure if Rotom did or didn't know. "Goh is already at the Pokemon School with the others" Rotom informed him. "It seems he ran into Lana at the sea" Rotom added. "I see! Lana, huh?" Ash laughed, as his own first encounter with Lana was pretty similar.
Goh's POV:
Goh had been taken to the Pokemon School by Lana, where he was without Ash, getting overwhelmed by the love of his life's friends, Lana, Mallow, and Sophocles. "So, what kind of foods from Kanto do you like?" Mallow asked him. "Say, is that a new kind of Index Rotom?" Sophocles said, looking at Goh's Rotom Phone. "This is a Rotom Phone-" Goh said before being interrupted by Sophocles saying "Phone?! So you can make calls with it too?!" "Yeah.." Goh said. "Sobble's so cute!" Lana stated. "You know how Ash tends to run off on his own, right? Has he caused any trouble?" Mallow asked him. "Uh.. I'm not sure" Goh said. "Say, do you think I could dissect your Rotom Phone?" Sophocles asked him. That worried Goh, seeing as his Rotom Phone was filled to the brim with videos and photos of Ash's torment and embarrassment, as well as Ash in his underwear. He did NOT want to have a conversation about that with ANYONE other than Ash. 'Please hurry up and get here Ash!' Goh wished to himself. "Alola!" A new voice was heard, as another one of Ash's friends walked in. "So you're Goh." He said. "Yes, I am..?" Goh said, unsure what to make of the situation. "I'm Kiawe. Ash's rival!" He introduced himself. "I was his rival while be was in Alola.. still am.. and will always be!" Kiawe monologued. "So who's the stronger battler of you?" Kiawe asked Goh. "You're with Ash all the time, aren't you? So you battle too, don't you?" Kiawe said. "Well... Every now and then" Goh told him. "E-Every now and then?!" Kiawe said, as if he was disgusted. Goh was nervous, did he say something he shouldn't have? Did he mess it up? That was when something he never expected to happen, happened. Kiawe challenged him to a battle. Goh almost screamed in terror. He and Kiawe stared each other down, until finally the silence was broken. "Alola!" Ash said, entering the room. Goh had never been more happy to see him.
Ash's POV:
"Welcome back, Ash!" Were the words spoken by Ash's friends when he entered the Pokemon School. "It's good to be back" he told them. "Ash, what took you so long?!" Goh asked him, his voice sounding as if he were on the verge of a panic attack. "I'm glad you're okay, Goh" Ash said, looking at him, with invisible love hearts in his eyes. "Everyone's here now, so let's start the welcome party!" Mallow said to everyone. The six of them gathered round, and ate the food prepared by Mallow. While eating, Ash was able to catch up with his friends. As far as Ash could tell, they had no idea of Ash's feelings towards Goh. He did feel relieved that no one knew, but also a bit sad that he wouldn't get to ask them for any advice. Anyways, Ash put those thoughts aside, and offered Kiawe a chance to battle, like old times! "A battle, huh? Sounds great! But I.. will battle Goh!" Kiawe said, shocking everyone in the room.
Goh's POV:
"Me?!" Goh said, shocked by such a request. "I will see if Goh is worthy of being Ash's rival!" Kiawe said. "Ash's rival?" Goh asked. "The person closest to Ash!" Kiawe said, standing up. "...needs to be strong enough to be able to help him out with his dream!" Kiawe continued. 'Closest?' Goh thought to himself. Theoretically, if he helped Ash with his dream.. then that'd make Goh the person closest to him, right? "All right" Goh agreed, shocking everyone there. "How can I refuse after hearing all of that?" Goh said, accepting Kiawe's request. They went outside, to the school's battle park, where Goh fought Kiawe in a 1v1, Raboot vs Kiawe's Turtonator, while everyone else spectated the match. Goh was able to land a few good hits, but Kiawe was very good. "That's it, I will use my Z-Move!" Kiawe stated. "Z-Moves are the strongest moves in Alola, born by unleashing the full power of both trainer and Pokemon!" Kiawe told Goh. "If you want to run, do it now" Kiawe said to him. "There's no way I'd run!" Goh said. "Just as I'd expect from Ash's rival" Kiawe said. "You keep calling me his rival... You are wrong! I'm not Ash's rival. And I have no intention of helping Ash reach his dream. Dreams are something you reach with your own power, yeah? My dream... My future lies in my hands! Ash feels the same way. Use your Z-Move. I'm no rival, but I am Ash's research fellow partner.. His friend! And as his friend, I want to show him a battle I can be proud of!" Goh said to Kiawe. Obviously, the "friend" was a lie, but he couldn't think of a fitting substitute for the situation that didn't make things awkward. "I like your courage" Kiawe told Goh, then fired up his Z-Move. Goh and Raboot got ready to counter it, as Kiawe used the Z-Move by the name of Inferno Overdrive. This was the first time Goh ever saw a Z-Move in his life. He actually wished for a bit that he had one of his own. He thought about how great it would be to torment Ash with an attack as strong as a Z-Move, but Goh stopped himself and focused on the battle, telling Raboot to use Ember. It collided with the Z-Move and... did nothing. Just before the attack incinerated Goh and his Pokemon, Kiawe's Alolan Marowak jumped in and saved Goh and Raboot, pushing them out of the way. "Goh" Kiawe told Goh. "What?" Goh asked him, annoyed. "Look after Ash for me" Kiawe said, reaching his hand out to Goh. "Kiawe.." Goh said, grabbing Kiawe's arm and using it to lift himself up. "I may not be his rival, but I can certainly look after him for you!" Goh said to him, as they and their Pokemon made up. "Say, Goh... what is your dream?" Kiawe asked him. "My dream is.. to catch every Pokemon, to work my way up to Mew!" Goh said, spreading his arms around. Everyone gathered around Goh and started clapping. "Um, the applause is a bit... embarrassing..." Goh said. "Say, Goh" Mallow said. "Ash said you wanted to catch an Alolan Exeggutor, right?" "Um, yeah!" Goh answered her. "We can find one in Treasure Island!" She told him. "Treasure Island?" He asked. "Yeah! Just change into your swimsuit and we'll go!" Lana said to him. "Um..." Goh said, looking around. He looked at Ash's face, which was clearly giving him a look of approval. "Sure!" He said. "Where... do I go change?" Goh asked. "Come with me Goh!" Ash said, and led Goh to the boy's bathrooms in the Pokemon School.
