The long walk back to Blood Gulch was filled with an uncomfortable, yet merciful silence. When they somehow found their way back, Church was outside, waiting to greet them.

"Oh, look who's back, the conquering hero's, whats up guys?" He asks.

"Kinda down." Tucker answers.

"Hey, where's Tex?" Church asks.

"Gone." Tucker answers.

"Wheres the alien?" Church asks.

"Dead." Tucker responds.

"We'll how'd the quest go?" Church asks.

"Failed." Tucker answers.

"Yeah you know I, I probably didn't even have to ask that last question, did I." Church says.

"Eh, I wouldn't "failed", but these guys defiantly screwed it up royally." Andy answers.

"Whats up with her?" Church asks, taking notice of Kaede's depressed mood.

"She went apeshit and killed a lot of people who were trying to attack us. Even since, shes been in this depressed mood." Tucker explains. "I think this is the point where shes becoming a true chick."

"You know what, I don't have time to talk to you about your lack of knowledge for basic psychology. Is Tex okay?" Church asks.

"She's fine. None of us are THAT lucky. She chased after Wyoming." Tucker exlains.

"Tex?" Church questions.

"Yeah." Tucker responds.

"Wyoming?" Church questions again.

"Yes." Tucker responds... again.

"Massachusetts." Caboose says.

"Seriously, stop it." Tucker warns.

"Tucker, why didn't you tell me this?" Church asks.

"Tell you when, we just got here." Tucker exclaims.

"Yeah, but you've been wasting time gabbing about your stupid failed quest." Church explains.

"Eh, I really wouldn't say "failed" here..." Andy rambles

"This conversation is stupid, and I'm hungry, wheres the food?" Tucker rudely asks.

"You Grif all of a sudden?" Kaede lowly says, taking a moment to break from her depressing thoughts.

"Listen, anytime you have new information for me, just tell me as quickly as possible. Okay?" Church says.

"Well heres one short, blanket statement that covers all future situations: we, suck." Tucker responds.

"I said NEW information." Church stresses.

"Don't we have anything to eat in this place?" Tucker says as he strolls on inside the base.

"Hey, Caboose? Could you take Andy... anywhere but here. Show him around?" Church asks.

"You are going to love it here Andy." Caboose gasps. "I'll take you on the tour."

"Tour? Whats there to see? This place looks like a shit hole. Smells like one too." Andy says as he is carried away by Caboose. With them gone, Church turns to Kaede.

"Okay, whats going on?" He asks her.

"I... I killed people." Kaede answers.

"Well, they were trying to kill you. I'd say they deserved it." Church answers.

"Its not just that... when I was doing it, I felt like I was enjoying it. While I was killing them I felt in control but not able to stop what I was doing even though somewhere I felt I really wanted to." Kaede explains.

"Like O'mally?" Church questions.

"Yes! It has to have been him! He took me over! When I was killing those guys, I kept hearing this voice encouraging me to keep killing!" Kaede exclaims. It was O'mallys fault. They had never really found him when they assaulted his fortress as far as she knew. It had to be his voice she heard.

"O'mally? Kaede, I don't think thats possible." Church says.

"Why? Why Church! Why can't it be possible!" Kaede exclaims.

"Because O'mally can only posses you if you have a helmet radio. Thats how he gets around. You left yours here." Church explains.

"So... all of that... was just me then." Kaede realizes.

"Maybe. I'm thinking it has something to do with those invisible hands of yours. Maybe they come with drawbacks." Church suggests.

"I'm a danger to everyone then." Kaede says.

"No you're not." Church affirms.

"I am! I can cut all of you up into tiny little pieces before I know what I've done! I cant lose you guys! I can't lose my family!" Kaede cries. With that Church sighs.

"If you really feel that way, just stick by me for the time being." He suggests.

"But Church, I might kill you!" Kaede says.

"No you can't. I'm already dead." Church says. "So, since I'm so close to you, I'll be the first one sliced up. Once that happens I can calm you down. If not then its a great early warning system for the others to get away, either way I'll be fine."

"Church?" Kaede asks.

"Yeah?"

"Thank you." She says to him.

"Well... just doing me job." Church mumbles. "Also, I forgive you for not being entirely truthful these past few years. You were just a kid and didn't know better. Also, when I thought about it, I found I didn't really care too much about it."

"Thanks Church. You're the best." Kaede says.

"Hell yeah I am." Church says with pride.

"Uh Church? Could you accompany me to the bathroom?" Kaede asks.

"You don't need me to go to the bathroom. Us guys don't go in groups." Church explains.

"No, I just need you to come with incase I snap." Kaede explains.

"Okay. Fine." Church groans before the two head inside the base. "I'm gonna regret this real soon aren't I?" Church mumbles to himself. The two arrive to the sight of Tucker viciously eating out of the fridge, half its contents already gone. "Tucker! The fuck! Quit being a pig!" Church exclaims as Kaede leaves for the washroom.

"Shut the hell up! I can do whatever the hell I like! I live in this base too!" Tucker screams at him before continuing to raid the fridge as Kaede returns.

"Your explaining to command why we're ordering rations early again." Church yells back as he takes Kaede back outside.

"Again?" Kaede asks.

"Yeah. After last time." Church explains.

Flashback

"Nyu!" Nyu exclaims as she leads the three blue soldiers inside the base.

"Okay, okay, what is it you want to show us Nyu?" Tucker asks.

"She probably finished a puzzle or something." Church says, unintrested.

"That would be awesome. I've never known how to do that." Caboose praises.

"Yeah, I'll bet." Church remarks.

"Come! Come!" Nyu urges as she continues to pull the soldiers along.

"Alright, we're coming, we're coming." Tucker assures as he and the others follow her into the dining area in the storage room.

As soon as they enter they are greeted with the sight of a Thanksgiving diner, as it is currently Thanksgiving.

"Nyu!" Nyu exclaims with excitement as she shows off all that she prepared.

"Nice! Nyu, did you do all this?" Tucker asks.

"Yes." Nyu says, with a goofy smile on her face.

"This is awesome!" Caboose exclaims.

"Okay, I was not expecting this." Church says. "It looks like she used all our food."

"Well, it is Thanksgiving, so why not use all the food." Tucker asks. "Lets dig in!"

Present

"The food was terrible by the way. Nyu doesn't know how to cook." Church explains.

"I would expect that. I don't even know how to cook." Kaede agrees.

"But she actually microwaved all our cups of yogurt. I don't believe that anyones THAT bad at cooking." Church says.

"Oh yeah. I remember that." Caboose says fondly as he just... appears beside the group.

"You know what? I take what I just said back." Church says, looking at Caboose.

"So, Kaede. Are you feeling happier?" Caboose asks.

"Yes Caboose. I'll be alright. I'm just going to be following Church from now on to keep everyone safe." Kaede explains.

"Lucky." Caboose breathes.

"Bleaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaghh!" The group hears from the base.

"Sounds like someone isn't sharing your luck." Andy laughs. The three run inside the baee, leaving Andy outside, to find Tucker had thrown up on the floor.

"That what you get for eating all the food." Church sighs.

"I'll clean that up. Caboose, get a bucket." Kaede orders.

"Okay!" Caboose simply says before running off.

"Why're you volunteering to clean up that mess?" Church asks. A nearby mop and mop bucket float closer to them.

"Cause I don't have to get near it to clean it up." Kaede explains. After the mess is cleaned and Caboose returns with a bucket, which Tucker immediately vomits into, the three rendezvous outside. From there, Tucker begins loudly moaning for all to hear.

"Thats not a good sign." Kaede states.

"Gee, ya think!" Andy exclaims.
