Seeing DNA voices vectors, Kaede comes to a decision.
"You handle O'mally. I'll handle her. She has the same invisible arms I do, and I don't think you can handle them." Kaede explains.
"No argument here." Church agrees. "Whats her deal anyway? If she is a part of you, why is she fighting you?"
"I don't know. She has this insane idea I have to wipe out humanity and "replace them with my own kind"." Kaede explains.
"What does that mean?" Church questions.
"Hell if I know. I just know she's responsible for my violent episodes." Kaede says.
"Are we gonna stare each other down until we're bored to death?" DNA voice questions.
"I agree. Less talk, more killing!" O'mally gleefully agrees. With that, O'mally fires a rocket at the two which Kaede quickly redirects before blocking a strike from DNA. Church moves away from Kaede while firing with his rifle at O'mally, missing every shot.
"Damn it, can't I hit something, fucking, once!" Church complains to himself.
"Haha! You fool! Your inaccuracy will cost you and your friend your lives!" O'mally taunts as he launches another rocket, blowing Church to the ground. Meanwhile Kaede struggles with her inner DNA, blocker her furious attacks until she spies an opening. With that, she uses one of her arms to graze DNA on her left arm. Kaede smirks at the blood coming from her doubles arm. So she can be killed.
"Oh boo hoo, I'm scratched." DNA taunts. "Let me return the favour ten fold." With that, DNA renews her attack, her arms flying so fast Kaede barely has time to deflect them all. She needed an edge. Feeling around in her pockets with her physical hands she feels something she can use. Hoping it won't be damaged by doing this Kaede throws the small music box at DNA's head, using on of her invisible arms to further increase its speed.
The shot lands on its intended target and DNA is thrown to the floor. Kaede leaps towards DNA, her arms poised in a strike that will sever her in two. However, DNA quickly retaliates with an invisible arm strike that forced Kaede to use said arm to defend herself which was not a problem, however the attack flung her into the air making her more vulnerable.
Church isn't having a smooth time either. After avoiding a rocket by luck, he closes the distance between himself and O'mally and delivers a good one to the jaw.
"Boo-yeah, mother fucker!" Church cries out.
"So you want to get physical, eh?" O'mally says as he puts the rocket launcher on his back and raises his own fists. "I prefer bludgeoning my victims." With that, O'mally retaliates, punching Church in the chest with a left hook before his right jab is blocked. Church attempts his own right hook which is blocked before he lands two left jabs. He the goes for a roundhouse kick to which O'mally catches his leg.
"Ah, shit." Is all Church can say before he is thrown to the ground. O'mally quickly takes out his rocket launcher to fire another rocket.
While in the air, Kaede blocks all DNA's attacks until the two are out of each others reach. However, before Kaede can recover or even properly fall to the ground, DNA catches one of O'mallys rockets launched in her direction and redirects it at Kaede. Kaede throws a shield over herself to block the oncoming projectile. Thankfully, her arms successfully negate the damage the attack would have done, some shrapnel from rocket was able to make it through, cutting through Kaede's skin leaving multiple bleeding scratches. She is finally granted a rough reunion with the ground.
"I don't want to do this Kaede." DNA says.
"But you do because you are. I don't need to kill anyone." Kaede argues back.
"But you do. Still, you deny your purpose." DNA huffs. Kaede notices Churchs sniper rifle nearby. Using one of her arms to bring it to her, she aims at DNA and with her arms acting as both support and a frontal shield, Kaede fires at DNA forcing her on the defensive. Once she runs out of bullets, she charges forward, throwing the sniper rifle which DNA immediately destroys, and begins her offensive on DNA.
O'mally puts his rocket launcher on his back before moving towards the prone form of Church. He attempts to kick the cobalt soldier to which he dodges. He quickly roles away and stands back up, readying his fists.
"This is getting tiresome." O'mally groans.
"Whats the matter? Getting tired, buddy?" Church taunts.
"I'm tired, of YOU!" O'mally responds. He then quickly pulls his rocket launcher out again only for it to fire nothing, being out of ammo. As O'mally attempts to reload, Church once again charges at him only for O'mally to sidestep and kick him back to the ground. O'mally then finishes reloading his rocket launcher and aims at Church.
"Oh son of a bi-" Church doesn't finish as he is blow out here.
"Church!" Kaede cries out. A blunt strike is delivered to her chest winding her and causing her to fall to the ground, courtesy of DNA. O'mally then runs towards her and kicks her in the face and she can feel blood in her mouth.
"You better pay attention little di-whatsit whatsit. Ignorance could get you killed." O'mally says. Using one of her invisible arms, Kaede grabs O'mallys rocket launcher and uses it to blow him back before smashing and discarding the weapon. Kaede quickly leaps to her feet to avoid an attack from DNA. The two clash invisible arms again until Kaede sees another opening. She sends an arm targeted at DNA's heart, but to her surprise she dodges.
Kaede is then overcome with a sharp pain that causes her to collapse. Looking over herself, she finds her right leg severed at the knee. It is then that the pain registers. Kaede screams out as she cradles her missing limb. She isn't left much time to do this as DNA, using one of her invisible arms, picks up Kaede by the neck and lifts her up to face her.
"We you will complete our destiny. I would prefer it be done by you willingly." DNA says.
"N- never." Kaede utters throughout the pain. "I'd rather die then allow my friends to come to even the slightest harm."
"I'm afraid I can't allow that." DNA says. "Besides Kouta, The reds and the blues no one will accept us. We need to make a world for ourselves and in order to do that, we need to start clean."
"How do you know? Ever since arriving here, I haven't met anyone who has forsaken me because of my horns or powers." Kaede explains.
"We'll see what the outside world is like then. You will be disappointed." DNA says.
"Hate to interrupt the pep talk, but I'm gonna have to borrow you body to complete my task." O'mally says.
"What do you plan to do?" DNA asks. Kaede detects a hidden distrust in her voice.
"Oh, I'll just kill the fools, take the kid and the sword, then jump into Tex and be on my merry way." O'mally explains.
"No..." Kaede gasps, realizing what O'mally could do with her power.
"Oh yes." O'mally replies, hearing her. "This is gonna be fun."
With that, Kaede finally awakens to the sight of Church.
"Kaede, are you okay? Did you beat them?" Church frantically asks.
"Oh, I'm okay all right." Kaede says in a deep voice. "In fact I feel so good that I need to kill everyone in this canyon. Muhahahahah!"
"Oh no." Church says before his head comes off.
"Hehehe, power! Unlimited power!" O'mally cries out.
"Shit." Churchs head says.
"What? Your still alive?" O'mally questions.
"Yeah, I mean, I'm already dead. I just don't know why my ghost isn't coming out." Church answers.
"Either way, you are immobilized! Time to go kill your friends." O'mally says before running off. He/she/? finds the reds and blues all crowded around the Pelican. "Back away from my ship you fools!
"Kaede? Whys your voice so deep?" Simmons asks.
"Do you have a cold?" Caboose asks.
"And why're you wearing the helmet part of the armour I gave you?" Sarge ask.
"No. O'mally! Get out of her!" Tex cries out.
"I think not. This body has a lot more power than any one of you could give me." O'mally exclaims.
"O'mally is possessing Kaede?" Tucker exclaims.
"And by power, he probably means her invisible arms. If he gets close enough, he can kill us all with a mere thought." Simmons explains.
"I agree with the angry lady! Get out of our friends body." Sarge says, pointing his shotgun at her.
"What are you gonna do? Shoot Kaede? She isn't wearing body armour." Grif brings up.
"Oh relax Grif, I wasn't gonna shot her anyway. I would never fire at a girl." Sarge grumbles, lowing his shotgun.
"Yes, now just stand there while I kill you." O'mally says as he slowly and deliberatly walks towards the group.
As O'mally is walking towards them, Kaede can see everything while in her mental world. She keeps struggling to break out of DNA's grip but to no avail.
"This is for the best Kaede. They are holding you back." She says. Kaede then notices her pistol lying not too far away from them. She tries to use her invisible arms to pick it up but they don't come out.
'Not now. Work with me powers... please.' Kaede begs.
"I must say, I like your slow approach. You're giving them plenty of time to fear you." DNA compliments.
"Thank you. I like doing my work slow as possible. Lets the dread build up better that way." O'mally says.
As the two talk, Kaede tries again and again to will an arm out. She eventually gets on out put a sharp stab of pain makes it dissipate again. 'I see. The pain is affecting my concentration which I need for my arms.' Shutting out all her senses, she wills an arm to hand her the pistol as quickly as possible. Once she feels cold metal, she grips it like her depends on it.
"O'mally." Kaede says, getting his attention. "What I said to her, about hurting my family. THAT GOES FOR YOU TOO!" With that, Kaede shoots O'mally in the head evicting him from her head cannon.
"No!" DNA exclaims. With that, Kaede's control returns and she leaves her mental world.
Once Kaede's mind returns, she collapses to the ground. She can still feel the phantom pain lf her severed leg, but it was fading away. As soon as Kaede feels she is able, she returns to her feet.
"What did I miss." Kaede breathes out, sounding exhausted. She takes her helmet off to see everyone looking at Tex.
"You have no idea what kind of trouble you are in." Tex/O'mally says. She takes a Wyoming head and runs onto the ship. Kaede can only watch.
"Wait, Tex you don't want to do this!" Church cries out. The ship starts up. "Tex, don't, do this!" Kaede morns for Church. There is nothing that can be done for Tex now.
"We have to stop her right now!" Church exclaims.
"No problemo Blue. Andy, you there?" Sarge says the second part on his radio. After a long ass countdown and a lot of arguing in that time, the ship explodes.
"Uh Church, what should we do?" Tucker asks.
"Do whatever you want. I'm going home." Church says as he solemnly walks towards the blue base. Kaede wants to comfort Church but now that the threat is over she is allowed her own thoughts. If what that voice said is true, she is the biggest threat to her family's safety for no other reason than that she exists.
Why is fate so cruel to me? I never asked to be born with the horns or this... programming! If I had to rid myself of my powers to live without these I would in a heartbeat. Why did I have to be born this way?
