Kaede awakens from the explosion.
"Tucker!" She calls out. She looks around to see aliens fighting the humans for some reason, Tucker and Donut are no where to be found.
"Get the kid out of here." She hears from behind her. Turning around, she sees three human soldiers come up behind her, rifles raised. Without hesitation, she throws up her shield and goes for her gun. Click click. Its empty? It had a few bullets in it last time, what happened?
Seeing her pull out a gun, the three men open fire without hesitation, their bullets being blocked by the shield. 'Looks like I'll have to fall back on my arms.' Kaede thinks before striking down the three with them. A wave of pleasure and need to continue washes over her but she ruthlessly suppresses it. That DNA voice is still hard at work. Kaede breaks away out into the open to see a car chase is going down. A brown guy was driving away in a warthog and was being chased by Grif, Sarge, and Caboose?
"Guys?" She whispered to herself. This had to be another hallucination from the heat, right?
"What the hell?" She hears some one else say. Turning around, she spies more soldiers eyeing the mutilated bodies of their comrades.
"You can run now and spare yourself the same fate." Kaede advises, giving them a threatening look.
"Ri- right." The soldier says, he and his buddies flee from the conflict before the aliens or whatever cut those men up could get them. She turns back in time to see her friends Warthog has stopped and some of the enemies in a Mongoose were aiming them down with a rocket launcher.
"Hey assholes!" She hears Tucker yell but can't tell where he is. "Yaaaaaaaaaaaa!" Tucker bounds over the edge in an alien looking motorcycle. If he was meaning to land on the Mongoose, he over shot by a lot, landing in a small temple section. "Fuck." She hears Tucker curse.
Caboose, who is on the Warthogs gun, which looked very strange, fired and destroyed the enemy Mongoose. Both Kaede and Tucker join up with the group.
"Sarge! Grif! Caboose! When did you guys get here!" Kaede exclaims.
"Ah, Kaede's back." Caboose greets.
"Wait, back? Was I Nyu again? How long for this time? And how long were you guys here?" Kaede asks.
"You were Nyu for several days and these dickheads got here around two hours ago." Tucker answers.
"Several days!? We were trapped here!?" Kaede exclaims.
"Thats what he just said." Grif confirms.
"Oh Tucker, I'm so sorry. If only I was conscious I could have helped." Kaede says, dejectedly.
"Hey, you can't control your split personality. What matters is the here and now, and now, we have to get Church." Tucker says.
"Church is here too!" Kaede exclaims.
"Well, kinda." Caboose confirms.
"Can we exposition later? C.T. is getting away." Sarge brings up.
"Right. I missed you guys. We gotta catch up after this." Kaede smiles.
"Yeah yeah." Grif brushes off.
"Wait! Tucker! Where did you get that ride!" Caboose brings up.
"Okay, seriously?" Grif brings up. "Fuck it, I'm all for sitting here."
"The aliens gave it to me as a gift. Pretty fucking cool." Tucker responds.
"When did this happen?" Kaede asks.
"I think you were Nyu when I told you and I just forgot to mention it to you." Tucker explains. "I had it airlifted in here when we arrived. Good thing C.T. didn't fuck with it."
"Come on! We gotta go! This is a timed operation!" Sarge exclaims. "Grif, I pretty much expected this from, but Kaede... what has become of you during your time with that blue?"
"Sorry, you're right. Lets save Church." Kaede says. Just then, C.T. drives in front of the group.
"There he is!" Caboose exclaims.
"That was convenient." Kaede comments as she gets and holds onto Tuckers Chopper. C.T. retreats.
"You guys follow him, we'll cut him off." Tucker orders.
"We can't lose Church!" Caboose exclaims.
"We won't." Tucker responds.
"You always say that, but we always do." Caboose shoots back. As Grif and the others chased C.T. around the temple, Tucker and Kaede rod up a sand dune to get a better view. When the time seemed right, Tucker looked to Kaede.
"Do you trust me?" Tucker asks.
"Yes." No hesitation.
"Okay, I have an idea." Tucker says.
Kaede looks to where C.T. is, is is about to be. "I think I see what you have in mind. This is gonna look so cool."
Tucker then leaps the chopper into the air, he and Kaede bailing out midair as Caboose fires and misses with the strange cannon. The two then land in front of C.T.s oncoming jeep.
"Gotta time this, NOW!" Tucker mutters before he and Kaede dodge to the side, slicing into the sides of C.T.s warthog with their sword and invisible arms. The jeep then explodes behind them.
"Damn, I wasn't expecting that explosion. I bet we looked badass." Kaede comments.
"Damn straight we did." Tucker says.
"Whoa. Guys look, he's still alive." Grif shouts over. The two turn to see C.T. fleeing.
"Bull shit." Kaede huffs.
"I'll get C.T., you guys find Church." Tucker says before running after him.
"Where is Church?" Kaede asks to the fleeing Tucker.
"Kaede, over here!" Caboose calls over. Kaede meets him at the flaming wreck of C.T.s jeep. "I can't see Church anywhere!"
"C.T. had Church in here? I didn't see him." Kaede says.
"Yeah Church... uh, he got smaller since the last time we saw him." Caboose explains.
"Smaller?" Kaede questions.
"Yeah, you see it turns out Church wasn't a ghost but an A.I." Caboose explains.
"Huh? You mean the whole time?" Kaede questions.
"Yeah." Caboose confirms.
"I guess that makes a certain sense." Kaede muses.
"And so all the other A.I.s were all just pieces of him and the original Church got rid of them all with an emp except for the Church thats with us now but he's a piece of the Church we know like O'mally and Gary and he's having trouble remembering so he doesn't know all that." Caboose rambles.
"I'm sorry, what?" Kaede says, confused.
"You should have seen the last season." Caboose says. "You'd be caught up then.
"Caboose, I don't understand what you're saying." Kaede brings up.
"Oh hey, theres Church." Caboose points behind Kaede. She turns around to see he's pointing at some floating ball.
"Huh? Pretty sure that isn't Church." Kaede says. She then notices Tucker at the edge of a drop atop the temple with C.T. pointing a rifle at him. "Tucker! He's in trouble!" She exclaims. The ball then glows red at C.T. before unleashing a laser into the criminal.
"What? That thing-"
"I am not a thing! My name is Leonard Church, and you will fear my laser face!" The ball... Church yells, interrupting Kaede's thought.
"See? Its Church!" Caboose exclaims.
"Right. Lets go meet up with him and check on Tucker." Kaede suggests. With that, the two along with the two reds regroup at Church and Tuckers position.
"Wow, now that was awesome." Caboose compliments Church.
"Yeah. Awesome." Grif... agrees?
"Church, how did you do that?" Tucker asks.
"I don't really know. I just got really mad and it just kind of you know, happened." Church explains.
"Can you do it again? Like to the yellow guy or something?" Tucker asks.
"Orange." Kaede corrects.
"Thank you!" Grif exclaims.
"I guess; I'm not really sure." Church voices.
"Anyway, Church, its good to see you again." Kaede says.
"See me again? I was gone for like, 15 minutes." Church says.
"Oh, Church I'm not Nyu right now." Kaede clarifies.
"Oh, so you're Kaede. The other cat girl that looks just like Nyu but has special powers like my telekinesis." Church explains. "So, where'd Nyu go?"
"Huh?" Kaede exclaims.
"Oh yeah, Bowling ball there's lost his memory. He only knows what Caboose told him." Sarge explains.
"Oh! That makes more sense." Kaede says. She then pats Church. "Don't worry Church. We'll get your memory back. For future reference though, Nyu and I are the same person. Nyu's just a split personality."
"I guess that makes sense for why you two aren't ever in the same place at the same time." Church mutters.
"Look guys, we need to keep our head in the game. Lets get back in that temple and close it down for good." Tucker says.
"Um guys? I think we might have a problem with that." Caboose brings up. Looking down, the crew can see the aliens assembling around the temple.
"Wuh oh." Church uh ohs.
"What are they doing?" Kaede asks.
"I dunno, but my moneys on something not good." Sarge says.
"...so what now?" Kaede asks.
