Special thanks to Lewd Queen Selene and roggerlopez99 for some of the costume ideas.

"Tucker? What-" Nana was interrupted by herself when she saw Tucker had a cop costume on. "Uhh..."

"I'm a cop... for Halloween." Tucker explains.

"Halloween?" Nana questions.

"Yeah! You dress up in costumes and get free candy." Tucker explains.

"Free... candy?" Nana's mouth waters at the mention of such delicious treats.

"Yeah. Did you celebrate when you were in the institute?" Tucker questions.

"The scientists said we didn't need costumes since we were already monsters. Also, we didn't get clothes regularly so..." Nana trails off.

"Should have expected that to get dark." Tucker sighs. "Anyway, question for curiosity, were there any Diclonius girls over there that are over eighteen?"

"What am I supposed to dress up as?" Nana asks.

"What ever you want!" Tucker exclaims.

"I'm gonna need to find Mayu!" Nana exclaims before running off. Tucker just watches her go.

"Fuck. Guess next time." Tucker deflates at his question remaining unanswered.

Elsewhere, Kaede had finished preparing her costume.

"What do you think?" She asks a spectating Grif and Simmons. She was all wrapped up in bandages with the exception of her head which had a grey helmet with what looked like teeth and six eyeholes (the helmet she first has in the institute).

"And what the hell are you supposed to be?" Grif asks, unimpressed.

"I'm a cyber-mummy." Kaede answers. "I made it up."

"That sounds dumb as hell." Grif retorts.

"Oh yeah! At least she's trying, fatass." Simmons defends.

"Eh. To much work to dress up. I'll just take the candy, thank you." Grif responds.

"No candy unless you dress up." Kaede chids him.

"I'll find a way." Grif challengingly whispers. Kaede just stares at him. "What are you doing?"

"I was giving you a death glare but I guess that doesn't work when I'm wearing a helmet." Kaede explains.

"I don't think thats the only problem with your costume." Simmons adds pointing to her chest. Kaede looks down to see the wrapping has come off, exposing her breasts to the world.

"Gah! Don't look!" Kaede screams, covering them as fast as she can. "I knew I should have worn something underneath!"

"Yeah, I think its time for a costume change." Simmons deadpans as Kaede sprints back to her room

Meanwhile, Tucker was walking the halls of the Maple Inn.

"Yo, Nana! Where'd you go?" He shouts.

"Oh, hey Tucker!" Tucker hears Donut behind him.

"Oh, that tone of voice isn't good." Tucker says to himself before turning around to find Donut there also in a cop costume, though one significantly skimpier.

"I'm officer Hot Pants, and I'll be your partner today." Donut greets.

"I'm changing." Tucker says before walking back to his room.

"Hey! We can both be cops! They rely on each other to cover their rears!" Donut prompts. "C'mon partner! Don't be like that!"

Mayu had prepared her simple vampire costume when Nana came bursting though her door.

"Hi Nana. What do you think of my vampire costume?" Mayu asks.

"Huh? Oh! It looks great Mayu!" Nana shoots Mayu a thumbs up. "I've actually needed to ask you something."

"What is it?" Mayu asks.

"What should I dress up as for Halloween tonight?" Nana asks.

"I know! You really like that web show Simmons introduced you to, right?" Mayu asks.

"Yeah." Nana responds.

"Come with me. I have an idea." Mayu says while pulling Nana along to her room to get ready.

Grif lounged around as Kaede changed her costume (in privacy of coarse). Simmons left awhile ago to get his costume ready. Eventually, she was ready and revealed her costume to Grif. She was wearing a green suit of some kind along with a skirt that seemed two sizes too short. Additionally, she wore a chocker with what looked like a rosary hanging off and it and her eyes were green, though her horns were still exposed.

"Ta-da!" She exclaims.

"And who are you supposed to be." Grif uninterestedly says.

"I'm Moka Akashyia! The S class super monster!" Kaede exclaims.

"Dunno who that is. Sounds dumb." Grif replies.

"Well, your opinion means little." Kaede says. "And in the off chance Kouta is going as Tsukune..." Kaede's thoughts are interrupted when Simmons, dressed as a sort of white and gold robot walks into the room. "Simmons. What do you think?"

"Are you Moka Akashyia? That kinda works." Simmons says.

"What do you mean kinda?" Kaede asks.

"Well, you and Moka are similar... its just that..." Simmons trails off. "Mayu's already going as a vampire."

"Ugh. And this would have been such a good character to go as." Kaede groans.

"So what, just go as that then." Grif says.

"We're trying to keep some variety in the costumes here, Grif." Kaede sternly says. "We might as well all go as vampires if we don't."

"Yeah, I don't see the point." Grif says. Kaede ignores him and steps back into the changing room. "What the hell are you supposed to be?" He asks to Simmons.

Simmons takes on a heroic pose. "I am Takanuva! Toa of light!"

"Wow, who the hell is that." Grif sighs.

Meanwhile, Kouta in his Batman costume along with Sarge in a pirate costume set up the party they will be having in the inn.

"Everything's ready." Kouta announces.

"Hot damn. This'll be one good party." Sarge says. "And if Grif brings an excuse for me to take him aside, and away from the candy, to discipline him, it'll be even better. He better be in costume."

"Wow, You really don't like him." Kouta states.

"You think. What would you do if one of your teammates lazied around while everyone else did meaningful work?" Sarge questions.

"Well, those who can't work can't stay here..." Kouta trails off.

Sarge sighs. "If only I could do that with Grif. Leave him out in the wild to fend for himself. And he could bother to do that."

Lopez enters, but he looks completely different.

"Hola, Lopez! Nice of you to join us." Sarge greets.

"Decir agradable sería demasiado amable." Lopez answers.

"Oh, you're a Star Trek character, right?" Kouta asks.

"Si. Soy el teniente comandante Data." Lopez answers. "De la próxima generación."

"Impressive. It looks like you switched heads or something to look just like him." Kouta comments.

"Si." Lopez answers.

"This is one of the best parts of Halloween! Seeing what everyone dresses up as! I put mine together last minute. but next year, I'll be coming in the most impressive looking costume of all time!" Sarge declares.

"Can't wait to see it." Kouta smiles.

"Niño, al final solo vas a estar decepcionado" Lopez says.

"Hows this?" Mayu asks as she drags Nana to the mirror. Nana was dressed up as Ruby Rose from RWBY, though unfortunately, her horns stuck out of the wig Mayu provided.

"It's perfect Mayu! Thank you!" Nana exclaims as she excitedly twirls around.

"Hmmm, maybe we should have had you go as Blake. That way, we could pass of your horns as kitty ears." Mayu notes,

"Oh, this is fine. I'm sure no one will mind." Nana says.

"Right, lets get to that party, then I can show you how to trick or treat!" Mayu says.

"Trick or treat?" Nana questions.

"This is so stupid." Kaede says as she and Grif finish getting in costume.

"Why're you complaining? You're the one who wanted to dress up." Grif retorts. Right now, Kaede was dressed in a simple cat costume while Grif was in a simple pizza costume. "We're dressed up. Far as I can see, this meet your demands for getting candy tonight."

"We could have gone as something better." Kaede complains. "Oh well. At least my horns work as kitty ears."

"Yeah. Whatever." Grif says.

The two then arrive at the simple party everyone set up in the Maple Inns common room. They take notice of the costumes;

Sarge as a pirate

Simmons as Takanuva from Bionicle

Donut as... ugh... officer hot pants

Lopez as Mr. Data from Star Trek

Caboose as a wizard

Tucker as Agent Locke from Halo

Kouta as Batman

Mayu as a vampire

and Nana as Ruby Rose from RWBY.

"Hey, where's Yuka and Doc?" Simmons finally asks.

"Hey! I've been standing here the whole time!" They hear Yuka angrily yell. They follow her voice and find her wearing a long black haired wig, a red skirt, and white short sleeve shirt with red outlines and a bit of yellow.

"Heh, you are really good at staying invisible with that on." Sarge compliments. "Are you supposed to be some kind of ninja disguised as a regular girl?"

"I'm Nozomi." Yuka answers.

"Who?" Literally everyone else choruses.

"Nozomi. She's apart of the inn here. Well, in the manga timeline anyway." Yuka explains.

"Oh. Which timeline is this?" Tucker asks.

"The anime timeline." Simmons says. "You can tell because Nana doesn't refer to herself in the third person and has pink hair as opposed to purple."

"Isn't this getting a little Meta?" Kouta questions.

"Oh, I love it when we do that." Caboose voices.

"Ridiculous! No one is dressed as him, and he ain't here!" Sarge exclaims. "And I tried inviting him. No response."

"Thats probably because we sent him to the bottom of the ocean." Grif says.

"Hey, who was that other person you mentioned wasn't here?" Mayu asks.

"Huh, I don't remember." Simmons says.

"Well, who ever they are, I'm sure they're off having fun else where." Yuka assures.

Doc sat on the stone steps overlooking the sea as the girl cried beside him.

"Why can't I make an appearance? Its not my fault I was cut out of the show." She said through her tears.

"I know what you mean, being left out. But one day people will recognize you. I'm sure of that." Doc assures her. The girl finally stops crying for a bit and looks Doc in the eyes.

"Thanks Doc. I really needed that." Nozomi says to him. "One day we'll both finally be recognized as a part of our respective groups."

Some time later

"You do what?" Nana asks as her and Mayu walk down the darkening street.

"When we knock on the door, and the door opens, we say trick or treat while holding our bags out and they'll give us free candy." Mayu explains.

"And... thats it?" Nana questions.

"Thats it." Mayu confirms.

"This is the best holiday ever! Lets get as much as we can Mayu!" Nana exclaims before running ahead.

"Wait up, Nana!" Mayu runs after her friend.

"Hey, where's Grif?" Donut asks. He, Kaede, Kouta, and Yuka stayed behind in the Maple Inn to clean up a bit before they themselves headed out.

"I think he went out trick or treating." Yuka answers.

"100 Yen says he doesn't make it past house #2." Kaede says.

"I'll raise it to 500 and say he collapses before he hits the first house." Kouta says.

"I'll take those odds." Kaede says. Just then, the group hears the front door open and close. A few seconds later, Grif walks in.

"You're back early. How many houses did you hit?" Kaede asks.

"None." Grif answers. "I just went to the store and bought a bunch of candy with money I swindled from Caboose. Its a lot less work," Kaede and Kouta share a look. So who won the bet?

After awhile, everyone returned to the Inn with their loot.

"You two sure put in a lot of work." Donut notes as he looks at Mayu and Nana's candy bags, being the biggest out of everyones.

"Nana had us hit at least half of Kamakura." Mayu says, exhaustion in her voice.

"It was worth it though, right!" Nana exclaims. "We saw Papa taking Mariko trick or treating while we were out. He says hi."

"So, uh... anyone wanna watch a scary movie? ...Or something?" Yuka questions.

"Oh! I got the perfect movie!" Donut exclaims.

"No!" Everyone collectively choruses.

"Whatever, I already turned on IT. You fuckers can watch what you want." Grif calls from another room. Everyone shares a look before deciding to join him, although Sarge grumbles as he does it.

By some miracle, everyone fits on the Maple Inns living room to watch the movie. Grif watched with his usual apathy while Sarge fell asleep after awhile. Kouta was squished in between Kaede and Yuka who gripped him fairly tight especially during scary scenes. No one could tell if they were were actually scared or it was just an act, though plenty of bets were placed on the ladder. Simmons and Tucker and Donut watched with mild amusement while Mayu was trying to calm down a frightened Caboose and Nana while trying to reassure them that its just a movie and it wasn't real. Lopez left awhile ago...

And thats how it went for the rest of the night. It was just Halloween with this large group in the Maple Inn.
