After Lucy, Bakugo and Midoriya finished their little bonding session, the celestial mage became hungry and asked if they had dinner yet. Both of them replied no, Bakugo for obvious reasons while Midoriya explained all that happened after Lucy had passed out with the ash blonde boy's help. Unfortunately for them, they also casually mentioned how Aizawa had taken the criminal mage from earlier to a prison in town - which, obviously, made Lucy yell loudly throughout the dorm building, alerting everyone inside that she was awake.
Before anyone else in Class 1-A or the fairies could go to check what was wrong, Lucy bursted through the elevator with her pissed Bakugo looking expression plastered on her face. The two boys followed behind her, the ash blonde boy not all that bothered while Midoriya looked more or less terrified at how angry she seemed. Natsu and Happy would have run up to her in relief that she seemed fine now, but they knew better than to feign ignorance in front of her when she was like that.
So the duo and Gray both hid in fear of being on the receiving end of Lucy's wrath while Wendy just laughed awkwardly and Carla rolling her eyes at how childish the boys were. Of course, the rest of the students were also nervous at her increasing rage (it was obvious that Lucy's anger was something that made Bakugo's constant yelling look like a bad mood) and just quietly looked back and forth between the blonde and her teammates, not really understanding why she seemed so angry even though she had just woken up.
"Why are Katsuki and Izuku telling me that the enemy is being held in a prison!? Without magic restraint cuffs!? In the city!?"
Oh. So that's why she was so angry. While the male fairies cowered in fear, cursing Erza in their minds as they were so sure to die right then and there because of Lucy, the female fairies maintained their same expressions from when Lucy entered the common area. Bakugo went to stand where the rest of the Bakusquad was while Midoriya joined the rest of the Dekusquad. The rest of Class 1-A feeling super nervous and guilty, it had been their teacher who had taken the villain after all.
Erza, who had been sitting on the couch talking to Yaoyorozu and Iida, just crossed her arms and legs since she fully understood Lucy's anger. "We had no choice." She simply stated, not soothing the blonde's anger. "It was either we hand him over or those adults would've had our identities compromised. We can't let anyone else besides those who've earned your trust with info of Earthland."
At her words, Lucy relaxed a bit before letting out an annoyed groan, pulling out a chair from one of the dining tables and sitting down whilst crossing her arms. It was like anyone could see the visible tick mark on her head. "We're obviously not going to leave this be right? He is sure to escape by the morning."
"Of course we won't leave him be. He is a part of our mission so as Fairy Tail mages we have to subdue him." Erza said as a matter-of-factly, leaning back into the couch as she met eyes with Lucy. "However, because those heroes believe that they can manage then we'll allow them that. They know where to find us once they realize they cannot handle it."
'Who knew Scarlet could be so petty while sounding so professional?' All of Class 1-A thought with sweatdropping looks.
Lucy let out a sigh and copied Erza as she leaned back into her chair, a Bakugo-like scowl leaving her lips. "So be it. Hopefully, they were discreet when taking him away. I would like it if we didn't have to deal with any villains from this world." She surrendered. "And if those heroes do come and ask for help, they better beg on their knees! Especially that Endeavor guy!"
"I can only imagine how pitiful he would be going down on all fours to beg to Heartfilia and Scarlet. Probably like a tamed hound dog."
When Todoroki's words reached the ears of those near him, Kirishima, Kaminari and Sero could not help but spit out their water and laugh like madmen. They had not expected Todoroki of all people to say that with a straight face and it was just too funny for them to ignore. Eventually, the three were collapsed on the floor as laughing tears fell from their faces - their minds and bodies soon calming down from what they found to be ultimately hilarious.
Once the stiff atmosphere withered away thanks to Todoroki's comment, Wendy went over to Lucy to check her magic power and to see if she needed any more healing. After all, Lucy was the only one out of the fairies to be able to read the text within the space time book and thus, was the one in charge to transport them back to Earthland. And if a transportation spell that only brought them somewhere nearby was enough to make her use more than half her magic, Lucy must need to have all her strength to bring them to Magnolia.
"Looks like your magic supply has been completely replenished. That's a relief." Wendy noted as Lucy nodded to her with a reassuring smile. "I'm guessing we can go home once we retrieve the bandit."
At the mention of the fairies returning back to their world, the students' moods gloomed. They had been through much as a class and had shared many experiences with one another, this incident being one of their most unbelievable incidents to date. Meeting people from another dimension or world, only their class and the rest of the U.A staff knew of the fairies' presence in the school. It had only been a few days since Lucy's appearance there, but it had felt like they had been with the fairies for over a month.
"Uh say Lucy... did you figure out how to bring us back?" Gray asked, revealing himself from his hiding place. While everyone was explaining things to both him and Erza, he recalled Uraraka saying that Lucy had been reading the space time book but had yet to actually find a spell that would open a portal to the caster's desired destination.
The celestial mage just sighed and shook her head. "If only Levy were here or if I had Gale-Force reading glasses, maybe I would be able to understand the random gibberish in the book." She explained. "I think the spell I would have to use is something similar to the one that transported us here from the shopping district - with minor alterations to the words."
"Thank Mavis that Luce is so smart!" Natsu cried, he and Happy popping up from their hiding place. "Hey Happy! Do you think I would be able to fight that old man before we go home? I wanna show him how fire power really works!"
The blue exceed sweatdropped and sighed. "Unless you want Erza to get on your back, it'd probably better not to. If Master heard about this, he might lose more hair!"
"It's a shame that you all must leave so soon." Yaoyorozu finally spoke up. "The dorm is sure to sound a little more quiet without you guys here."
"You won't be missing us for long once Lucy finally figures that book out." Carla replied, causing the students (except Midoriya and Bakugo) to look at her with questioning looks.
"What do you mean Carla?" Mina asked.
"You guys don't know?" Wendy asked, looking to Lucy who only gave her a sheepish smile.
"I was trying to keep it a surprise for everyone else, but I guess not." The blonde replied as she scratched the back of her head. "Even if I only figure out the spell to get home, I'm hoping to find a way to open the gate again so I can visit or maybe get you guys to come to Earthland. It wouldn't feel right of me to just leave and not come back again, y'know?"
All eighteen students' eyes widened at the mention of possibly seeing the world the fairies are from. "You want us to visit your world?"
Lucy nodded in response to Todoroki's question. "I already talked to Aizawa about it after our three-way battle yesterday. I heard that work studies is a thing in your program and though it won't be the same as how hero agencies work here, you can still gain experience when doing jobs. Guilds do offer quite the variety."
This caused the teens to be super excited for the upcoming future, vowing to train harder so that they can become strong enough to fight alongside the fairies. Many of the boys discussing what kind of jobs that they could possibly take while the girls wondered what other kinds of magic are in Earthland. From the stories they heard, there were many powerful female mages in Fairy Tail that could get the boys of Fairy Tail running for their money. They couldn't wait to see it for themselves.
As night rolled by and the sun began to rise, the bandit mage was just about to make escape. However, just as he was about to envelop the cell in darkness, a dark violet shadow-like fog covered the many security cameras' vision. His eyes widened and from the fog came a very crusty(?) looking man with long pale blue hair with a hand over his face. The mage wasn't going to lie, this man appearing before him seemed a slightly bit more intimidating than his gang's boss.
"So... you're the one Dabi said had a unique plant related quirk."
Okay - he stands corrected. Not only did this weird guy looked crazy but his voice was just as dry as his skin. The mage raised an eyebrow and met eye contact the single pupil that peaked out from behind the hand covering the man's face. It was obvious to him that he was probably a villain of this hero society based world, but he had no idea what he meant by quirk. Well, if he was going to try and wreak havoc among this world, he might as well create some allies.
"I don't know what you mean by quirk, but yes I have plant magic. What of it?"
The man, Shigaraki, seemed confused by his statement but pushed it aside before questioning him further. "I am the head of the League of Villains, an organization whose goal is to purge this hero society as the world knows it." He explained. "In exchange for our help to free you, I would like it if you helped us in our cause."
The mage instantly liked the sound of a League of Villains. So long as he could run wild and wreak havoc, he didn't care who he had to team up with or whom he had to follow. From underneath the bandana that covered the lower half of his face, the mage smirked and simply shrugged his shoulders. His cuffs falling from his hands and his restraints being sliced as if cut with the sharpest scissors or knives. Shigaraki being left surprised as he recognized those cuffs to be ones that would block one from using their quirk.
"I don't care if you help me escape or not since I can easily do it myself. But all I want is to cause panic and disorder through the streets." He said, stepping forward from where he had been immobilized.
"H-How... those cuffs should've prevented you from using any quirk and-"
"I think I didn't make myself clear the first time. So let me introduce myself in a way you can understand." The mage said as he fixed his worn bandages as shadows began to envelop the room in darkness. "You can call me Azazel. The magic I possess is called Plant magic and Shadow magic."
"Magic? You have two types of powers?"
Azazel nodded once his bandages were properly rewrapped. "In my world, everyone is born with the capabilities of using magic and can learn any type of it at any point in time. There are an infinite amount of possibilities of what we can do and the only thing we have to be mindful of is our magic power consumption."
While Shigaraki listened to Azazel talk, he was completely intrigued with this world of magic that the mage spoke about. When hearing the examples of the different types of magic that existed, he couldn't help but wonder what a magic driven society looks like. Did people discriminate others because of the type of magic they have? Do they have so-called 'heroes' that care more about themselves than other people? Was that world better than the one they were currently in? He wanted to know.
The villain leader's ears then perked at the mention of the Fairy Tail mages that had brought him to their world. He knew Kurogiri was listening in as well, since it was his quirk they were using, and they immediately recognized the name of the non-existent hero agency that was the talk of the media in the last few days. Azazel's description matched the mysterious Celestial Hero and that rumoured blue headed intern exactly, but what interested them was the mention of the other three mages included in that team.
"So what you're saying is... these 'fairies' are the only real threat to you?" He asked. "They are the only ones who can stop you?"
Azazel nodded and crossed his arms. "That team is notorious throughout my world. They are quite powerful and their strength alone is not something to scoff at."
Shigaraki hummed and smirked from behind the hand covering his face. "Why don't we go to the league's base? We shall think of a way to deal with these pests there."
The mage's eyes narrowed and his cheekbones raising - he liked the sound of that. "Well then let's go."
When the next day came, the students were headed back to school. Everyone had gone to sleep early that night since Erza insisted that they be ready to go to school tomorrow - and no one wanted to be on the receiving end of her anger (especially since it seemed worse than Lucy's). Erza's room was next to Yaoyorozu while Gray was in the free only remaining free male room which was next to Sato. Wendy and Carla's room being next to Jirou (there was no way the girls were going to put her near Mineta's room).
Of course, Iida and Yaoyorozu were the first among the students to awaken since they were the class representatives, but they didn't expect to enter the common room to see Erza awake and eating a small bowl of cereal. The female requip mage then explained that it was only natural for her to wake up earlier than the rest of her team, seeing as how she was the only S-Class mage among them as well as being the oldest member and the two students couldn't help but agree.
Eventually everyone else woke up one by one, the last obviously being Natsu and Happy after receiving one beat down from Lucy (of course they slept in her room again) and another one from Erza (who punished them for breaking into the blonde's room). He recovered after a few minutes, courtesy of Wendy, and then began diving into the spicy (and flaming) breakfast that Lucy prepared for him since Mira had long since taught the blonde how to make the fire dragon slayer's breakfasts.
Gray was eating his breakfast while talking to Todoroki, giving him tips on how he could further practice his ice abilities during the class' training session. Meanwhile, Wendy and Carla was with Jirou, Kaminari, Sero and Mina. They wanted to know what other type of magic the fairies' guildmates used and if there was an equivalent of their quirks. She told them that she didn't recall anyone with something like Sero or Mina's but she did mention how there was Sound magic and that Laxus is the lightning dragon slayer.
Midoriya and Uraraka were seated at the table with Natsu and Happy, talking about what they were going to do during the day while also practicing their reflexes when dodging the duos food flying towards them as they ate like crazy. Finally, Lucy was talking with Bakugo and Kirishima. The red head asking her about the different jobs they could possibly take when they finally go to Fairy Tail. He wanted to have an idea so that they could take a manly job right away.
Once everyone was done eating, Lucy and Gray began washing the dishes as Class 1-A began rushing out of the dorm so that they could get to class quickly, bidding their farewells until the fairies were the only ones left in the building. Since they couldn't exactly leave for Earthland until they had Azazel with them, everyone agreed to help Lucy find a way to open a portal back to this world after they return to Magnolia (Natsu and Happy obviously falling asleep since they got bored very quickly).
A few hours past and soon a knock on the door alerted the fairies. Gray was the closest to the door so he got up and opened it, revealing All Might. Neither he or Erza had met the retired hero and would have been skeptical if it hadn't been for Lucy or Wendy greeting him from their position on the couch. The raven haired mage relaxed as he led All Might to the couches where they were all seated. He was in his civilian form and bowed to introduce himself to the two newcomers.
"Aizawa had informed me of your arrival this morning." He said. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Fullbuster. Scarlet. My name is All Might."
"Oh, you must be that super strong hero that the others were telling us about." Gray replied as All Might nodded.
"Am I interrupting anything important?"
"No, it's quite alright." Erza reassured. "We needed a break anyway."
The retired hero let out a small sigh of relief and then gestured to exit the dorms. "That's great. Aizawa had informed Nezu of your proposition of bringing some of our students to your world for work studies if they so wish and he wanted to talk about that with you."
"Lucy will handle that." Everyone, but said blonde, replied in unison (including Natsu and Happy, who woke up momentarily just say that) making Lucy facepalm.
"Fine I'll go." She replied rolling her eyes. "Are you guys going to stay here or..?"
Wendy got up with Carla in her arms and smiled shyly, averting eye contact. "Actually... I would like to explore the school if that's okay? I've only ever seen that training ground where we had that small spar so..."
"I'd also like to see what a school for heroes looks like." Erza agreed, setting the book she had been reading down. "Lucy was the only one to continue education beyond childhood, so I'm curious to see how things work here and how you train the younger generation."
The celestial mage then turned to All Might, her eyes already asking the question for her. "Do you think it would be fine to do that? None of the other students besides 1-A know we're here right?"
All Might scratched the back of his head and looked at the time. A few minutes had already passed since third period started, which meant they roughly had a little less than two hours to talk to Nezu and explore the building before the students flooded the halls for lunch time. There was also no doubt that not a single student did not know about the fairies' presence in this world thanks to the media. The presence of the Bakusquad, Midoriya and Uraraka were wisely omitted, but everything else was still present in the report.
Many called the fairies an elite team of strong quirk users that could possibly have the same amount of power as All Might in his prime. Many also speculated that while the heroes were doing all the work in daylight, the fairies were doing the more heavy duty jobs on the side lines unnoticed and that they decided to only show themselves now since All Might retired. They were not really heroes and they were not really vigilantes either - perhaps somewhere in between.
The majority of society assumed this to be the case since it explains why someone like the Celestial Hero had not been known until now despite having such a never before seen quirk. There had been no mention of Erza revealing their powers as magic based rather than quirk based and All Might had just assumed that it was due to Nezu and Aizawa's interference since Erza handed over Azazel to the black headed teacher the other day. He could only sigh again in response to Lucy's question.
"I might as well bring all of you to Nezu's office in order to gain permission to roam the school's halls." He said as Gray slapped Natsu and Happy awake, the pink headed slayer about to pick a fight if it weren't for Erza's glare. "Hopefully, you will be allowed without much uproar from the students."
Lucy and Erza nodded before turning to Natsu and Gray with narrowed eyes. "You heard him. We shouldn't be causing an uproar so no stripping! No fighting! No mention of Earthland! And definitely no usage of magic! Understand!?"
"Aye!" The two rivals replied while shivers ran down their spines.
As the day went on, Class 1-A finally left their room to head down to the cafeteria for lunch. It was strange to them, going about their school day like normal without the fairies with them, and it wasn't like they could openly talk about the other worlders with the rest of the student body around them. But at the same time, none of the twenty students could help but worry about the villain Erza handed over to Aizawa the other day. They were worried that he would come for the school.
Of course, if they had thought that their day wouldn't be eventful - they were, unfortunately, wrong. One second, they all sat at their respective seats calmly talking with one another and the next second, the loud voice of a certain dragon slayer echoed through the cafeteria while the doors bursted open. Everyone in the cafeteria turned away from their lunch and their eyes widened as they noticed the recognizable head of pink hair with a blue cat sitting on top.
"Oh there you guys are!" Natsu shouted with a smile as he looked straight at the table where Midoriya, Iida and Todoroki sat at (the rest of Class 1-A sitting in the same vicinity). "Man Izuku, it was hard to find you guys in this gigantic place!"
"N-N-N-Natsu!? H-Happy!?" Midoriya stuttered in shock, dropping his utensils as did Iida while Todoroki continued to eat his cold soba. "Wha-What're you guys doing here?"
Many of the other students besides Class 1-A were practically shellshocked. Not only did they recognize Natsu as one of the secret elite quirk users that many journalists and blogs wrote about, but they were utterly confused at how he and the greenette knew each other. They all watched, the cafeteria suddenly becoming silent, as Natsu and Happy ignored the many stares that headed their way while walking to Class 1-A's side of the room. All having so many questions for him.
"Hey, what kind of food is that? Is it good?" The dragon slayer asked, sniffing the plates of Midoriya and Iida. "I haven't really eaten anything since breakfast."
"What we're eating can wait, Dragneel! What are you doing in the school!? And without supervision!?" Iida asked, swiping his hand down with a concerned and panicked look on his face.
Natsu and Happy tilted their heads in confusion, not really getting why the dark blue headed boy was so mad. "But Iida... we came here with Lucy and the others." The exceed explained with a pout, the rest of the student body feeling faint as they couldn't believe that what seemed to be a regular cat was talking. "That mouse principal of yours wanted to talk to her."
'Principal Nezu wanted to talk to Lucy?' All of Class 1-A thought.
"What are you saying, Happy!? It was obvious the principal is a rat." The dragon slayer replied as every student in the cafeteria sweatdropped at his response.
"Natsu! Happy!" The doors to the cafeteria bursted open yet again, revealing a half naked Gray who was just in his underwear. Many of the girls in the room screaming at the sight which the ice mage ignored. "You damn pyro! What the heck were you thinking!? Disappearing after that rat gave us the clear to explore the school!?"
"He's a mouse, Gray." Happy corrected with a look that basically said he was done with the raven headed mage.
After the females finished their screams and covered their eyes, the rest of the males that were not a part of Class 1-A all stared at Gray either in awe or surprise (some even both). Just like Natsu, they recognized him as the second male that was a part of the group of quirk users that had been recently reported on in the news. They, also like with Natsu, wanted to ask him so many questions. The obvious one being why he was practically almost in the nude.
At the sound of Gray's insult of a nickname for him, an angry tick mark appeared on Natsu's forehead as he lit his fists on fire. "You gotta tryna start something, Ice Princess?" He asked in a lowly voice. "At least I kept all my clothes on instead of stripping down on my way here!"
Gray calmed down from his annoyance for a second to check if Natsu was right, and when he realized that he had in fact stripped his clothes from him on his way to the cafeteria, he raised his hands in surprise. "Oh crap when did that happen!?"
"Dammit, can't the three of you shut up!?" Bakugo yelled, a fiery aura that resembled Natsu's magic aura surrounding him. "You're yelling like a bunch of banshees in here!"
'Like you're one to talk.' Many students thought whilst rolling their eyes.
Both dragon slayer and ice mage were about to brawl it out with their magic if it weren't for the cafeteria doors bursting open, yet again, thanks to a powerful kick. The students looked to the doors, wondering who it was that was interrupting their lunch this time only for the many of the males to produce heart eyes at the females at the door. Erza, Wendy and Carla now entering the cafeteria while the scarlet haired mage held Gray's clothes in her right hand.
The males who looked at Wendy could not help but fawn just how cute and adorable she looked as she held onto Carla like a stuffed animal. Virgo had given her a copy of her red school girl uniform from Edolas and her hair was tied up in pigtails, further adding to her innocent school girl outfit. She was panting slightly, indicating that she had been running around the school along with the requip mage next to her, searching for Natsu, Gray and Happy since they had run off.
And then there was Erza. The males who looked at her could not help but check her out from top to bottom, her curves seemingly absolutely perfect and her beauty incomparable to that of Midnight, Mt. Lady or even Ryukyu. Out of the fairies, only Erza was shown briefly in the news reports and articles since Natsu and Gray had been doing more of the flashy attacks. Yet there was no denying that she was, in fact, the woman who sliced through Endeavor's fire and defeated Azazel. Everyone knew how strong she was.
Wendy seemed to fit the image that everyone had thought her to be, however, their image of Erza was quickly changed just as her expression did. The minute the scarlet mage found Natsu, Gray and Happy amongst the crowd, an enraged aura surrounded her as she stomped over to them with Wendy following behind. Happy had long since hid in the arms of Uraraka, but the fire dragon slayer and ice mage had yet to notice her since they were too focused on intimidating one another and staring each other down.
Instead of being the elegant woman the media made her out to be, once Erza was next to the pink and raven headed males, she handed Grays clothes for Wendy to hold and took a deep breath before hitting both of them on the head with her fists. A yelp escaped both of their lips as they collided with the floor below their feet, clear cracks forming upon impact. Many getting the chills just how strong she was while Class 1-A just felt their souls ascending from their bodies.
"Ugh... ow..." Natsu and Gray whimpered in pain, their bodies shaking as they moved their heads to see an angered Erza cross her arms while staring down at them. "E-Erza!?"
"You idiots..." She began to say, an even larger tick mark appearing on her head than the one Natsu had earlier. "What did me and Lucy tell you to not do while in the building? It seems to me that you cannot even follow basic instructions!"
Fearing for their lives, the pink headed slayer and raven headed mage got up almost immediately (the students shocked that they hadn't broken any bones from their collision with the floor) and linked arms with ignorant expressions on their face. "N-No Erza! We swear it was just our rivalry! We weren't planning on actually fighting!"
Raising an eyebrow for a second, Erza just sighed and then gestured for Wendy to hand Gray's clothes over. The bluenette complied and did so, only for Erza to throw them in Gray's face. "Put on some clothes before someone requests for your arrest, Gray."
Not wanting to anger the S-Class mage any further, the raven headed mage immediately put on his clothes without much hesitation. Midoriya was the first of his class to regain his sanity, softly laughing sheepishly as he knew many of the students in the room were about to cause another uproar. In fact, he could already hear Lucy's nagging in the back of his head when she learns what Natsu and the others had done just now. And honestly, he and probably the rest of his class would like a break.
Turning to meet eyes with Wendy and Carla, the greenette then continued the conversation from before Gray interrupted. "Happy said that our principal wanted to meet Big Sis." He finally said. "Is there a reason why?"
"Oh that!" Wendy said with a smile that seemed to bring back the sanity of all the students present. "It seems that your teacher told your principal about Lucy's proposition about the work studies thing. They're organizing the details right now."
"Lucy's hoping that maybe that intelligent mind of his would help with figuring out the book so that the school can make it possible." Carla added (at this point the other students just accepted the impossible, their shock making them dismiss Wendy's words about the work studies). "It was only supposed to be her coming here, but we decided to tag along and explore the school."
"Why is that?" Todoroki asked, tilting his head after finishing his soba. "This school maybe an elite school made for heroes but it should be like any other school you've been to, right?"
"Actually Todoroki... funny you should mention about school..." Happy spoke up.
"Luce is the only one who actually went and did all this school stuff." Natsu revealed, making everyone's eyes widen. "I learned the basic stuff from Igneel before joining Fairy Tail. Gray only had Ur until all his stuff happened. Erza was an orphan until she got into Fairy Tail and then Wendy learnt from her old guild. We probably stopped when we were around seven."
"Hah!? You're saying you guys never attended a hero school or anything like that!?" A random student asked.
"Then how the heck are you guys so strong!?" Another asked.
"It wasn't easy I'll tell you that." Gray admitted, remembering the days of his childhood.
"The more adventures we had, the more we grew and now we're here." Wendy added, her own memories flashing by. "I wouldn't be where I am now if it weren't for everyone in Fairy Tail taking me in."
"Yeah! And Natsu practically came out of the womb fighting." Happy joked. "If he's not hungry, he's always picking fights with anyone he meets! Master's about had enough with the bills he has to pay every time Natsu breaks something."
'That's not so hard to imagine.' All of Class 1-A thought, everyone in the room just about to finish their food.
"So... does that mean it doesn't matter what school we go to?" A shy student asked.
Erza simply shook her head, smiling as she recalled her own experiences. "Even if we didn't attend a school such as this one, we've all had our teachers. Learn what you can and then do your best to make what you learn your own so that you may become stronger."
Carla hummed in agreement, glad that the chaos had died down. "Exactly. It's okay to push yourself when training, but also know your limits. Don't go overexerting yourself if you know what's good for you."
"Oh! But don't forget to have fun too! It's boring if you think it all to be work work. Live a little!" Natsu cheered, his signature grin causing many to feel encouraged.
Unfortunately, for the fairies, the wholesome moment was ruined when Natsu and Wendy caught a familiar scent in the air. The bluenette seemed relieved but the pink headed slayer suddenly shivered as he could feel a malicious aura following the scent. Unlike the last three times, the doors to the cafeteria creaked open and behind them revealed the blonde celestial mage, who seemed like she was smiling calmly but the fairies, Midoriya and Bakugo knew that was a smile of evil intent.
Natsu, Gray and Happy held onto one another, their bodies shaking as Lucy smiled perfectly recreated Mirajane's own demonic grin while Erza, Wendy and Carla wondered why she was so on edge. Midoriya could only guess that she was peeved either because she had probably heard all the yelling from the principal's office or it had something to do with the mage that Aizawa handed over to the authorities. Bakugo, on the other hand, just shook his head back and forth, wishing a peaceful death on whomever she was angry at.
Many whispers went around the cafeteria. Lucy was, after all, the only identified person out of everyone a part of Team Natsu since she was deemed the Celestial Hero immediately after her arrival in this world. Next to her was Aizawa and All Might, whom she had met up with after leaving Nezu's office upon hearing the chaos through the floors. She asked them to lead her to the cafeteria, no doubt in her mind that it was Natsu and Gray causing a commotion in a place full of food to which they complied.
Luckily for the two teachers, they were just about to meet up with Lucy anyway. After All Might had brought the blonde to Nezu's office to discuss things about her work studies proposition and the rest of the team leaving to explore the school, he had gone off to eat his own lunch. It was perfectly fine for about an hour, until Aizawa walked into the teacher's lounge to inform the rest of the teachers that (like the fairies had said) Azazel had escaped from his prison cell and was believed to have found refuge with the League of Villains.
So here they were, waiting for Lucy to scold her teammates so that they can inform them of the (foreseen) development, already prepared to also receive an earful from both her and Erza. "So..." She started to say. "Mind telling me why you're all here? When I specifically said to keep out of the students' sight?"
Natsu and Happy took a big gulp, knowing that they were the first ones to enter the cafeteria in the first place. "H-Hey Luce... you see uh... about that... We were hungry and-"
"Natsu, do me a favour and just shut up."
A terrified squeak left the slayer's mouth and he nodded hysterically in obedience. "Yes ma'am!"
Sighing, Lucy massaged her temples before bowing towards the rest of the students. "Forgive us for interrupting your lunch, now excuse us as we need to leave-"
"Actually Heartfilia." Aizawa interrupted her, the students raising an eyebrow at the underground hero's unusual fretting tone. "There's actually something we have to tell you and your team."
All of Team Natsu would have asked the black headed hero what he meant, but thanks to both Aizawa and All Might's hesitant looks, the fairies' expressions darkened as it became obvious with what the news was. Class 1-A soon followed in realizing what was up and the tension in the room only built up from there. Natsu fists and shoulders ignited into flames. Gray's ice aura caused the temperature to drop around him. Wendy caused the air to swirl. Erza's glare cut through the room and Lucy's body was surrounded with magic.
"We warned you." All seven said in unison.
"AHAHAHAHA! Man this is the life!" Azazel cackled through the streets, his plants destroying cars, shops and more as civilians ran away in fear. "Those fairies are sure taking their time though... Maybe they've gone back to Fiore without me!"
After spending only a couple of hours in the League of Villain's base, Azazel had gone and left the bar without another word when Shigaraki and Kurogiri explained what the league's goal was and what they were currently doing in detail. However, none of the villains expected the other worlder to just yawn, reiterating that their only real threat now was the Fairy Tail mages that also came to their world. With them out of the picture, none of the pro heroes would stand a chance against him.
That was when Twice and Toga asked whom exactly these so-called mages were and Azazel told them everything he knew about the infamous Team Natsu of Fairy Tail. When mentioning that the fairies were the ones who had defeated him just the day before, the seven villains recognized them to be the elite team of strong quirk users that the media had been constantly reporting on since the morning. Which also meant that none of them could afford to underestimate them in the slightest.
It was frankly getting annoying. The more Azazel informed them of the five Fairy Tail mages' magic, the more frustrated Shigaraki began to feel. It was annoying enough that they had to deal with pro heroes every corner, but having to deal with people who have abilities beyond their own understanding really blew his mood. Especially hearing about these two 'dragon slayers' that Azazel described. He didn't know if the plant and shadow mage was over-exaggerating, but it was obvious that Shigaraki had to be weary of them.
Of course, once Azazel realized that these villains might not be able to stand a chance, much like the heroes of this world, he sighed and began making his way to the bar exit. Spinner and Mr. Compress questioned where he was going, and Azzel just stated that he was going to wreak havoc like he said he was going to like it was obvious. He didn't need help to escape from that lame prison cell, but followed Shigaraki anyway because he thought that their group could handle the power of the fairies. But he figured otherwise.
But that didn't mean he hadn't invited them to follow him to have a fun little break from all the planning they did and wreak some havoc with him. And that's how Dabi, Twice, Toga found themselves following him, wanting to let loose for once before they get back into business. Kurogiri already ensuring their escape if the fairies decided to go after the escaped mage. Many heroes in the area came, Endeavor obviously being one of them, but they couldn't so much as touch the league members with Azazel's shadows in play.
"Whoa! This magic of yours is insane!" Twice said as he pushed past officers in his way before taking a moment to stop and turn around. "No it isn't! Of course he's something else, he's from another world!"
"It's been such a long time since I've been able to get this much blood from people!" Toga cheeered, letting go of another blood deprived civilian. "What does their blood taste like? What kind of quirk do they have! Oh I just can't wait to find out!"
"Who would've thought that there would be people out there with multiple abilities?" Dabi remarked nonchalantly as he set fire to the streets. "I thought the ancient boss was the only person like that."
Meanwhile, with the heroes and Azazel, the plant and shadow mage was having a blast intercepting Kamui Woods' advances with his plant minions and stopping Mt. Lady from stepping on him using his shadows. He was worried for a bit when the one who claimed to be the Dragon Hero appeared, but she was nothing more than just an inferior human compared to the dragon slayers. Hawks was there too, providing back up for Kamui but at the same time, he always glanced at Endeavor, who was dealing with many shadow puppets.
"Yo Endeavor! This is getting us nowhere!" The Wing Hero cried as the Flame Hero could only scoff. "This guy is different from the League of Villains! He has two quirks on him!"
"Do you honestly believe I don't know that!?" Endeavor retorted in frustration. He could feel himself overheating from overusing his quirk and he couldn't help but recall the five young adults who advised him that taking this villain would be a bad idea. "We need to find the Celestial Hero and her team!"
Hawks stopped attacking for a moment to look down at Endeavor from the air. "The Celestial Hero? But no one knows where they are right now! They could be anywhere!"
"Hawks! You need to go to U.A! That's the only place they can be at! Go now!"
'U.A? But why there?'
The Flame Hero continued his attacks, sweat dripping down the side of his head as he did so. He knew that eventually he'd need to cool down, but the shadows that Azazel produced were causing more trouble than he or any of the heroes had ever thought possible. Both in quantity and in strength despite being mere shadows. He remembered the scarlet haired woman mentioning his 'magic' to be his plant minions but never anything about this. He could only assume that not even the fairies knew of the extra set of powers he possessed.
Looking up at Hawks again, Endeavor grit his teeth. The scarlet haired woman said she was able to defeat Azazel before without much damage, she should be able to do it again. "Hawks! Go now! We'll fend them off for now! Go!"
"Hell no." Lucy said, standing in front of the U.A gates with the rest of Team Natsu at her sides (Happy on Natsu's head and Carla in Wendy's arms) while she crossed her arms. "As forgiving as I am, that does not mean I cannot be petty."
In front of her stood Hawks along with two representatives, one male and one female, from the Hero Public Safety Commission. The pro hero had arrived roughly around the same time as the two representatives did and when they met eye contact, they knew they were at the infamous school for the same reason. But before anything else, the male of the two asked Hawks of the situation back with the villains. The pro hero could only just shake his head - it was clearly not getting anything better.
So here Team Natsu was, with some of the teachers behind them and many students watching from a far just barely able to hear what they were talking about. Luckily, Jirou was there to tell Class 1-A what was up and all twenty students were surprised to hear that Lucy was not kidding when she said that she wasn't going to agree to help unless they came and begged on their knees. They had thought she was only saying it like a joke, but judging how serious she and the fairies seemed, it was obvious they all agreed with her.
"Please! You're the only ones we could think of who could stop him!" The female representative pleaded.
"And we should've been the ones to keep him in check too, but look who denied us of that responsibility." Wendy retorted.
"Yeah, and we warned that hero and reporters of yours that you wouldn't be able to keep him imprisoned." Gray reminded, his eyes showing just how unimpressed he was. "And 'convincing' us to hand him over by saying the media would reveal our identities if we didn't? Now that's a low blow."
The representatives shuddered at the ice mage's retort. Though the two were not directly involved with the whole ordeal between the fairies, Endeavor and the press, they had heard about it and even then had thought nothing of the mages' warning, thinking that they were overreacting. Now it was obvious that they should have thought about this villain more seriously considering how his powers were unlike what they had ever seen. Even Endeavor's claim about the fairies being from another world was far fetched enough.
"If I remember correctly.." Erza finally spoke up, her glare intensifying thanks to the shadows her bangs casted over her face. "Aizawa had reassured us that you would be taking necessary precautions to prevent such an escape."
"Now this bird brain here is saying the guy is with a bunch of villains too!? How the heck did that happen, huh!?" Natsu added, being surprisingly serious rather than his aloof self that Aizawa, All Might, Nezu and the rest of Class 1-A is used to.
'I'm just gonna ignore how he just called me bird brain.' Hawks thought to himself while internally sweatdropping.
Wendy shook her head, the two representatives and Wing Hero suddenly feeling that though they were older than the girl, they had failed their teacher when they should be doing the right thing. It was one thing to disappoint the four other mages, who were in the same age range as Hawks, but then it was another thing to disappoint someone who was the same age as the first years of U.A. That just made it seem all the more embarrassing. They were supposed to be role models after all.
Lucy's eyes narrowed and scanned the three new individuals before her. The lack of a certain middle aged flaming man missing from the trio. "So? Where is he?" She asked, earning confused looks from the three individuals. "Where's that Flame Hero? He should be the one here begging on his knees along with every single person who did not believe our warnings the other day."
When Hawks realized that Lucy was referring Endeavor, wisely pretending he did not just hear the celestial mage say that she wanted the Flame Hero begging for their help, he became alarmed and recalled that they had no time the waste. The shadows that Azazel produced, ruthless and seemed to be immune to anything that he and the rest of the pro heroes threw at him. His expression turning desperate, Hawks clapped his hands together and bowed to showcase that desperation. This can't keep going on.
"Please! We're desperate! Endeavor isn't here right now because he trying to fend off the villains as best as he can." He explained, the fairies' eyes widening at the Wing Hero. "You were the ones who told Endeavor of the villain's quirk, and he repeated it to our investigators. But it turns out he has another one. One that allows him to some how produce shadows! People are trapped inside them!"
'Shadows?' Lucy, Erza and Wendy thought.
Jirou was also shocked to hear the words leave Hawks mouth. Repeating it to the rest of her class, Midoriya began to think about what Hawks said about the magic. 'Big Sis did say that mages are not limited to only one type of magic and can learn another one. But shadows? Why would they have trouble because of shadows? How could shadows trap people?'
"If he can also use shadows, would that make that kind of magic similar to Tokoyami's?" Uraraka asked.
"Maybe, but then again, Hawks said that this villain can produce shadows. More than one." Tokoyami pointed out. "Dark shadow is literally a part of me so I don't think it's the same as that."
"You're telling me that they're having problems because of some lame shadows on the ground? I doubt that." Bakugo spoke up, the entire class turning their attention to him. "If Icyhot's old man is having a hard time with them, it's probably 'cause there's too much to blast away in one blow. They gotta take out the source, but those stupid shadows and shitty plants are getting in the way."
Listening to the ash blonde boy's words, Midoriya understood what Bakugo was getting at. Though the heroes should take out Azazel in order to stop everything, but with other villains there for back up, they all probably prioritized trying to get as many civilians out before they became trapped in the shadows. Making the heroes unsure if they should attack or not. They don't understand the capabilities that magic has like Lucy and the others and so are unable to make decisions on what to do to free the captives.
When meeting eye contact with Bakugo, the latter narrowed his eyes before subtly nudging towards the fairies. The greenette nodded and the two began to walk over to the fairies, teachers, the two representatives and Hawks, ignoring the calls from their classmates and the rest of their peers. The two childhood friends knew that the fairies' stubbornness was valid but it's dragging out for too long now. If they convince Lucy to go, then the rest of Team Natsu will lay off on the pettiness too.
Natsu and Wendy were the first to notice Midoriya and Bakugo's incoming presence and turned around, making everyone else follow. Upon seeing his two students behind them, Aizawa was about to instruct the two problem children to go back to class until Lucy turned her undivided attention to them. "What is it, you two?"
"We couldn't help but worry-" Bakugo nudged Midoriya's arm with his elbow. "I couldn't help but worry about the villain. Do you guys have a plan on taking him out? It looks serious."
Lucy's curious expression turned to one of reassurance, the rest of Team Natsu following after her. She ruffled the two boys' heads and nodded. "Of course we have a plan, Izuku. Who do you take us for?"
Midoriya brightened up at her words while Bakugo just raised an eyebrow. "Then why the hell are you still here when you should be heading to wherever they are right now?" He asked, wanting to poke at Natsu's ego. "You scared of little shadows?"
But instead of getting the normal offended reaction he thought he'd get, Natsu and Gray only smirked as they cracked their knuckles. "Heh, if you think some shadows could mess with us, then think again."
"Gotta admit though, I hope those shadows are as strong as you make them seem." The ice mage added, side eyeing Hawks. "'Cause I would like to hope we're not pulling out the big guns for no reason."
"You said there were a lot of them right? Then I guess I should give it all I got too!" Wendy added with excitement.
As if they had thought all the surprises were over, the two representatives, Hawks and the U.A staff watched in shock as a heavy aura began to surround the three mages. The right side of Gray's body began to be stained black as he pushed his hair back, the temperature dropping immensely unlike the last time Bakugo and Midoriya felt his power. Wendy's hair turned pink and her eyes narrowing, her pupil becoming slightly pointy as the wind around her body swirled and a fang peeking out of the corner of her mouth.
And finally Natsu, his right fist was encased in fire while the other side had sizzling lightning sparks going around it. Erza and Lucy smirking at their nakama. "That bastard isn't the only one with an ace up his sleeve, you know." The fire dragon slayer stated, bearing his fangs through his smirk. "I can't wait to kick his ass. Let's go Happy!"
"Aye sir!" The blue exceed finally said, relieved that Natsu allowed him to talk since Lucy told him and Carla to keep quiet while in the presence of the two representatives and pro hero. "C'mon Carla!"
The white exceed nodded in response and Wendy let go of her as her and Happy's wings popped from behind their backs. Picking up their respective dragon slayer, Natsu and Happy began to fly away, the pink headed slayer smelling for Azazel's scent. "We'll go ahead since we wasted enough time." Carla noted.
Lucy, Erza and Gray nodded and the exceed began to follow Happy. The celestial mage then turned to Erza and Gray, the two already knowing what she was going to say. "I'll meet up with you as soon as I'm ready. Natsu is obviously going to focus on the criminal so you guys should help Wendy out with the villains."
"Got it!" The scarlet haired and raven headed mages replied, Erza requipping into her Black Wing Armor and letting a hand out to Gray. The ice mage took hold of her hand and the two took off into the air to follow after Natsu, Wendy, Happy and Carla. "Don't be late, Lucy! We're counting on you!"
"See you guys in awhile!" Lucy called out in response, waving as her nakama disappeared into the distance. "Now to-"
"Hold on!" Hawks interrupted, his and everyone else's eyes completely focused on the blonde girl. "All this time you were planning on going after him. Why did you refuse our pleas then?"
The celestial mage's eyes narrowed and her happy expression turned sour, Midoriya and Bakugo praying that she just let Hawks go. "Listen buddy, the only problem we have is with your stupid authorities who couldn't even bother to take our words seriously. I understand it is hard to believe but it was pretty obvious that that criminal was not someone to take lightly. Yet they still did."
"But how could you expect us to-"
"Right and our display of magic was not enough to prove we are not the same as you." Lucy retorted, cutting the male representative off. "Gray's ice literally allows him to mold it into anything he wishes, not just simple freezing like Todoroki. That criminal can create plant minions so long as he is on the ground. That is nothing like your quirks."
That immediately shut the Wing Hero and representative up. Knowing she had won, Lucy turned away and faced the teachers and Nezu, who were also present throughout this whole ordeal. "Heartfilia. You stayed behind while the rest of your comrades went into battle. Why is that?" Aizawa asked.
"Because... I need some of your students' help in order for the next part of our little plan to succeed."
Hello! I just wanted to add this little author's note since I think my thanks to you readers is a little late! So... thank you so much for reading this story! Ever since watching MHA, I just knew I had to write a crossover between these two. However, I didn't intend to make it as long as it is right now.
This was just supposed to be a one-shot. A simple reunion with Lucy who knew Bakugo and Deku when they were kids. But then I added the flashbacks in the first chapter and it became too long so I decided to make a second chapter... And then I decided to make a chapter for each mage's arrival and here we are.
The next chapter is going to be the final one for sure for sure. And I don't know if it is going to be as long as these chapters before it. If anything, half will be the ending to this adventure and the other half... you'll see what I have planned hehe.
There may be another chapter where I let the Bakusquad and the Dekusquad (maybe some others characters too) go to Earthland but that will be more like little short chapters all combined into one. Or maybe it'll turn into something longer. But it'll be more like just a bonus or side story.
It might take awhile before the final chapter is released (my exams are coming up soon and I'm swamped), so expect it to come out somewhere in January to February. Thank you again for sticking around for this story! And to those who've reviewed, thank you so much for love! I love reading your comments and it really motivates me!
Anyway, I just wanted to put that out there! I'll see you lot in the next chapter! Merry (early) Christmas, Happy (early) New Year and Happy (also early LOL) Holidays! 3
