Kurama had arrived to where the blue soldier... Caboose was being kept to find him stripped of his armour and still sedated. However, there was a mess in the room the scientists were cleaning up.

"Sorry for the mess chief. The subject regained consciousness and broke through the restraints like they were nothing. We had to sedate him again before he could cause more damage." one of the scientists, Isobe apologizes.

"How is that possible?" Kurama asks.
"I don't know, sir. He did it with his raw strength alone. I mean, he's pretty buff, but even so, this type of feat should be beyond him." Isobe says.
"Check his skeletal structure for enhancements. If there are none, check his blood." Kurama orders. "This is getting stranger by the second."

"I know. Did the queen reveal anything about these soldiers?" Isobe asks.

"No. She seems content to feign ignorance of the whole situation." Kurama says.

"I see... you said she came here willingly?" Isobe asks.

"She was willing to come with us, only stating she and her friend would become hostile if antagonized." Kurama explains.

"I think this is part of her plan. After all, we are the biggest threat to the Diclonius." Isobe voices his thoughts.

"I thought so too. But for what? To free the other Diclonius? To destroy us?" Kurama lists off. "Should we expect attack or expect a break out?"

"I don't like this. If the Director really knows what he's doing, he'll triple security." Isobe says. "Heck, get the whole of JSDF down here. Why bother keeping her alive anyway?"

"The Director stated he wants to run tests on her to see what makes her different from the Sipilets." Kurama explains.

"We should just kill her and end this right now!" Isobe exclaims.

"I agree, but will that really be the end of it?" Kurama asks. Just then, the power goes out, leaving the room in darkness.

"Shit! Its already begun!" Isobe yells.

"Lets get to the control centre and see whats going on!" Kurama exclaims. He then grabs a radio from his pocket. "To all SAT teams and security guards, lock down Queen Lucy's cell as well as the cells for the soldiers! Do not let them escape!"

"Queen Lucy?" Isobe questions.

"It cuts down on the numbers. More memorable than #36 anyway." Kurama explains. "She isn't an ordinary sipilet after all."

Agents Washington and Carolina reached the small islands and found a way in through an unguarded maintenance door, finding the room in complete darkness. The two turn on their helmet lights to look down another dull hallway where various pipes ran and multiple doors lay.

"Whats going on Epsilon?" Carolina asks.

"Looks like powers down. I can't jump to any of the electronics here." Church explains.

"We catch them at a bad time?" Wash asks.

"Lets hope so. It'll make getting Caboose and Kaede out of here infinitely easier." Carolina says.

"Seems so. The power was manually cut, not some electrical error or something like that." Church says. "Could have brought it down for some kind of maintenance but I don't think you cut power to the whole complex for something like that."

"What is going on here?" Carolina whispers while she and Wash cautiously make their way down the hallway.

"Are you sure this was okay?" Kouta asks, stepping out of the the boat they "borrowed."

"Of coarse. Military business!" Sarge exclaims.

"But we're not part of the military here sir." Simmons explains.

"Exactly. Ever heard of an invasion? Cause that's what we're doing!" Sarge exclaims.

"Yeah Simmons. Use your head." Grif sardonically remarks. Simmons can only sigh at this.

"Anyway, we seem to have avoided detection. We could snatch Kaede and Caboose away from them without them even knowing." Simmons explains.

"Excellent plan Simmons! Just let me make some minor alterations to it." Sarge says. "Once we've freed Kaede we bust out of this place loud as can be, preferably with leaving a large explosive behind."

"Great idea sir!" Simmons exclaims.

"Yeah. What he said." Grif sighs.

"What about Caboose?" Kouta asks.

"Huh? What about him?" Sarge asks.

"Dude, listen. You should have picked up on this on the time we are living together, but Sarge does not care any bit for the blues." Grif tells him.

"Yeah, But we're gonna free him anyway, right?" Kouta asks. Silence. "Right."

"Knowing him, he'll somehow break out without our help and join us somehow." Grif says.

"What's the first step, sir?" Simmons eagerly asks.

Infiltrate the facility and take out all guards as silently as possible." Sarge says.

"Hey! Hands up you four!" They hear someone say. Sarge quickly turns around and shoots him in the gut with his loud shotgun. Kouta jumps in surprise.

"Wow, 3 seconds of silence during a silent operation. A new record!" Grif sarcastically exclaims.

"Shut up numbnuts." Sarge grumbles. "Might wanna put on that protection before we bust in." He says to Kouta.

"So glad Donut's not here." Grif says as Kouta puts on Wyoming's helmet. Sarge then leads the men, and Kouta, inside.

"What's the situation?" Shirakawa asked as she walked into the security control room where Kurama and Isobe stood, the former on the phone with security.

"Someone's breaking in. They've cut the main power and are shooting their way through the building." Isobe explains.

"But the power generators are deep inside. There's no way they could have gotten that far in already." Shirakawa brings up.

"That's the part that has us the most confused. We have technicians down there now who say nothing is tampered with it. We don't know why the power is off." Isobe explains. Kurama then hangs up the phone.

"Our invaders are four of those mysterious soldiers." Kurama explains.

"Where do they keep coming from? How does Lucy find humans willing to fight for her?" Isobe exclaims.

"Perhaps these soldiers are part of a cult." Shirakawa suggests. "A cult that worships Lucy and the Diclonius."

"That would make sense, though, that doesn't explain the armour and weapons." Kurama says. "Anyway, we need to focus on the ongoing attack and find a way to get the primary power back on."

Sarge, Simmons, and Grif mowed down any guards that came their way while Kouta followed behind them, unable to lift the pistol Sarge had shoved into his hands. The three had formed a wall keeping Kouta from the security guards which protected him from their bullets which seemed to plink off the three's armour.

"This is getting exhausting." Grif says.

"But we've only been at this for ten minutes!" Simmons exclaims.

"Yeah, hows about the next room we break into be the break room?" Grif suggests.

"And how's about I break your face if you keep complaining!" Sarge exclaims.

"How are you holding up back there Kouta?" Simmons asks, looking back to the boy.

"Ugh, could be better." Kouta says, trying to look away from all the slain bodies.

"Am I the only one who thinks bringing a civilian along was a bad idea?" Grif asks.

"Of coarse it was! Kouta makes an even better team member than you! How's about I shoot you and have him take your armour." Sarge threatens. "It'll actually fit him unlike you who has to stuff your self inside like a turducken."

"That's why I said we should keep our armour on." Grif complains.

"Dang nabit, Grif! Don't make me agree with you! I hate that." Sarge yells.

"I'm sorry you have to put up with this." Simmons apologizes to Kouta.

"How does Kaede put up with this? I thought we were just gonna beat up some kidnappers and leave with her and Caboose." Kouta groans

"If only it was that straight forward." Simmons sighs.

BANG*

"Fucking son of a bitch!" Grif cries as he crumples a to the floor.

"Did he just-"

"He'll be fine." Simmons interrupts Kouta. "He's been shot by Sarge so many times I would have thought he'd built up an immunity to it by now."

Kaede struggled against her bounds as she heard some loud noises from far away. Probably just some kind of machine. She tried wiggling our from the straps that held her down but that predictably didn't work. She tried pounding the ground around her hoping it would break something but was frustrated to find it didn't even dent, she felt like she was going to cry when she heard a pen roll over it her.

"Damn it. So fucking dark down here." She heard one of her guards curse. "How we supposed to defend her much less get any work done when it's so fuckin dark."

"You'd think they'd figure out how to get the power back up by now?" The second guard said. "What the hell is going on up there?"

Kaede felt around with her vectors for the pen only to feel the arm of one of the guards inside her cage grabbing for the pen. That's even better.

"Shit! It's got me! Help!" The guard cries out, feeling the vector grip his arm. Kaede yanked the man into the cage and held him up by his arms. She used her two other vectors to search him for the keys.

"Fuck!" The other guard cries out as he whips out his pistol and fires at her. Kaede focuses on blocking the bullets, not leaving her much concentration to find the keys. Once the man runs out of ammo and hastily reloads, Kaede positions the other man as a human shield to block herself of his bullets.

"Stop. I just want out of here. I won't hurt you if you stop shooting at me." Kaede commands.

"But you should hurt them anyway." She heard the voice say. "They attacked you first and caged you like some animal. It's time we pay them back."

'Shut up. I'm not playing your games." Kaede thought. As the second guard looks indecisive of what he should do, Kaede focuses of searching the guard shaking in her invisible arms. Then, she hears the large door open again.

"Yes! Reinforcements! We need help in here!" The second guard cries.

"Wrong side." She heard Grif say. Grif?

"Who are you guys?!" The second guard exclaims.

"We're red team. And you just got Sarge'd!" Sarge says before Kaede hears the loud 'blam' of the shotgun as well as seeing a bit of the muzzle flash. "Damn. Now THATS how you use a one liner."

"Kaede!" She heard Kouta cry out. "Kouta?" What was he doing here?

"Kouta!" She cries back.

"Hold on Kaede! We'll get you out!" Kouta yells back.

"What! Is! going! On!" The first guard screams, clearly confused. Kaede pushes him forward and from the sound of it knocks his head on her cage, knocking him out.

"Simmons, take a look at those controls." Sarge orders.

"Yes sir." Simmons replies before Kaede hears him running to her right.

"Kaede! Are you okay in there? Are you hurt?" Kouta asks, he sounded closer now. Likely right in front of her.

"N-no! I'm fine. A little cold, but fine." Kaede replies. "What are you doing here? Its dangerous!"

"I had to come get you out. I just had to." Kouta replies. Kaede is left speechless.

"Say Kaede, that's a pretty cool helmet you've got on." Sarge compliments. "I think we should paint it red team and use it with your armour I gave you. Once we get it back that is."

"I can barely see anything out of this. Not a good idea." Kaede says.

"I think I've got it!" Simmons exclaims. Kaede then drops to the ground and uses her invisible arms to cut her out of the strafe jacket. She then shoots to her feet and hugs Kouta for awhile. Once she backs away to get a bit of a view of him, as much as the helmet would allow, she noticed he was blushing furiously.

"What is it?" She asks him? He quickly looks away, embarrassed.

"Um... you... Kaede you're not um... you're not." Kouta keeps stuttering.

"You're not wearing any clothes." Grif plainly gives.

If they could see Kaede under her helmet, they would see her turn just as red as Kouta. She quickly turns around and covers her lady bits.

"S-Someone! G-Get m-me something t-t-to cover up with!" Kaede stutters.

Kouta quickly and wordlessly gives her his over shirt which she quickly puts on, now covering most of her modesty.

"Now that that's over with, hows about we get out of here?" Sarge suggests.
