A Quirk of tanks with One for All (AU)
Izuku stands nervously with his class as Thirteen spoke to the class about how quirks could kill. He knew this of course, tanks killed people easily, both intentionally with the guns and unintentionally by running them over. But what was really making him nervous was what All Might had given him earlier. One for All, an ancient quirk passed down by many users. All Might was unsure of how it would interact with Izuku's quirk but knew it would become stronger. The question was: what is stronger than a tank?
While Izuku was contemplating this, villains had arrived and one warped right in front of the distracted hero-in-training. Reacting on instinct, Izuku activates his quirk by raising his hands to the heavens.
This time it wasn't accompanied by the noise of a tank settling on its tracks, instead a massive wave of dark energy with green electric highlights erupts from his hands and forms a massive portal at the USJ's entrance.
A thundering note resounds from the portal. "Союз нерушимый республик свободных" A chorus sung enthusiastically
"Oh no." Izuku says with despair as he recognizes the Anthem.
Tanks begin rolling through the portal, T-34s of all types rumbled and clanged as they raced forward targeting the mist villain and forcing him to retreat under a hail of machine gun fire.
"T-34-76s, T-34-57s and even T-34-85s..." Momo comments breathlessly. The arrival of a pair of KV-1s with a single KV-2 was too much for her and she fell to her knees with excitement.
The tanks raced around the students and began engaging the thugs, who took one look at the horde of steel heading in their direction and sensibly fled.
At this point Aizawa finally regains his voice and begins ordering the students to head to the door, irritating the few that were saluting and singing along with their comrades.
"Nomu! Kill them!" A voice shouts as the class begins passing the portal.
With a crash a T-34 is sent flying over the students heads, but it is soon followed by the ear-splitting kaboom of the KV-2's 152 mm M-10 howitzer and a cry of: "noo! My nomu!"
This earned a wince from Bakugo who still remembered being close to one of those explosions.
To add insult to the villains injury three IS-1s arrive though the portal escorting the menacing form of an IS-3.
"Well, they are done for." Ochako says casually as she tries to prevent the floating Momo from noticing the new eye-candy.
"I almost feel bad for them." Kaminari says.
"I'm a bit jealous, fighting tanks with nothing but your quirk is manly." Kirishima adds.
"It's also a good way to get yourself killed." Kyoka snarks.
"You've really been holding out on us Midoriya." Tsu says.
"I-I had k-know idea I could do this." Izuku answers honestly.
"Powering up in a crisis is so manly." Kirishima comments.
"Plus Ultra you know..." Izuku replies nervously.
"Plus Ultra!" Kirishima shouts.
"Sure, just a bit of plus ultra and you summon an army." Kyoka sarcastically comments.
Meanwhile, among the rattling of tracks and constant gun fire one thought was common among the remaining villains: 'I want to go home.'
AN: just a quick chapter to illustrate why I'm ignoring One for All in this story.
So, who in 1-A is singing along with the National Anthem of the Soviet Union? Will Momo ever recover from the ecstasy of seeing that many tanks in action?
I'll leave it up to your imagination.
I'm thinking for the less silly tanks I should just do 'slice of life' chapters like melting car's paint with an M1, a day in the garage with a Tiger... having Momo get excited about the fireflies gun...
