"Today we're having 1 on 1 battles!" All Might announces as 1-A arrives at a training field for his lesson. "First up, Midoriya and Kaminari! Come forward to the circle! The rules are simple: fight until one of you leaves the circle or yields!"

'Against Kaminari? Almost any tank with proper seats is fine, as long as I don't touch metal I will be in a Faraday cage.' Izuku thinks before he raises his arms in the air. As the clang of the tank settling on it's suspension fades Izuku takes one look at the summoned vehicle and says: "I yield."

"What? May I ask why young Midoriya? The tank looks fine." All Might asks with concern.

"I know my quirk counters yours, but at least let me show off a bit." Kaminari says confidently.

"Your electricity is mostly useless against me since I can take you out from range or just hide inside while your electricity does nothing." Izuku answers irritably.

"Then why quit." Tsu asks.

"I'd rather fail for the day than drive this monstrosity." Izuku answers, to everyone's confusion.

"It looks normal though, it's a bit wide for the size of the turret, and perhaps a bit low to the ground." Ochako comments.

"This tank, the A38 Valiant, is perhaps the worst tank ever designed." Izuku begins, "They abandoned the test after only 21 km of driving, The driver was exhausted, and considered the thing a hazard to the long term attachment of his limbs. While they never got to the off road test, it was theorized that it would fail horribly, considering it's poor weight distribution and appalling ground clearance. The only prototype was gifted to an officer's school, to be used as a fun example of everything that could go wrong."

"Wouldn't your quirk offset the driver problem?" Momo asks.

"And I'm sure the ground clearance is going to be a problem on perfectly level cement." Kyoka adds sarcastically.

"It's the principle of it." Izuku argues.

"That's stupid." Kyoka argues.

"If I summoned this and had to put a civilian in it, they could lose a finger or even a limb if they touched the wrong thing." Izuku explains angrily.

"It can't be that bad." Kyoka says.

"It's been said that if your foot slipped off the brake pedal, the only way to get you out would be amputation." Izuku says, "And you might lose a finger adjusting the seat."

"That's quite concerning." All Might comments, "You'll just have to fight without a tank then."

Izuku sighs, "If I must."

Any outside argument was stopped by a flash of light and a loud clang. The class quickly turns around to see Momo facing away from the class with a small tank in front of her.

"Did you just pull a Wiesel 1 out of your stomach?" Izuku asks in shock.

"Yes." Momo answers shyly.

"And why did you create a tank?" Izuku asks.

"You shouldn't have to fight without one." Momo answers, "Not that you can't but."

"Thanks." Izuku says before Momo could continue digging herself into a hole.

"Is that even fair?" Kyoka asks

"I'll allow it!" All Might declares. "If only to get this class moving!"

Izuku quickly climbs inside the post-war German tankette and feels his quirk moving into the vehicle. Every cylinder and every bearing vibrating at his command, he quickly rolls into the arena.

Once Kaminari has blown his usual attack, Izuku begins to get out and move Kaminari out of the field when he notices an additional creation. A foam sword.

The class was rather amused to see Izuku stick his torso out of the top hatch and shout: "Driver, bring me closer so I can hit them with my sword!" before driving the tank to Kaminari and whacking him repeatedly to herd him off the stage.

'Well, that's this lesson down the drain.' All Might thinks as the class descends into laughter.

AN: And that's the chapter, I initially wanted to insult the Valiant, but then I figured Izuku needed a backup, so I went on the prowl for something interesting. I considered the prototype SP-1C German scout tank with an AT gun, but then noticed the Wiesel AWC, the only modern Tankette in the West. Something Momo would definitely look into, since it's small. And something rather interesting. The Wiesel stands only as tall as an average Dutchman and has a big 20mm auto-cannon. Reviews:

I have listened to Sabaton's Steel Commanders, it's fine, but the video's promotion containing a fantasy monstrosity is not so fine. I'll think about it though.

Yes, Izuku's name is inspired partially by Hearts of Iron 4, the game does a good job condensing the highly complicated strategies and doctrines used during the second world war and making them understandable to normal gamers. (well as normal as Grand strategy gamers get at least.)

Writing this in order with a proper plot is a nice idea, but it takes away the freedom and creativity I enjoy, not to mention how one sided it would be and quickly. Honestly, if Izuku took things seriously with this quirk and didn't pull his punches the USJ would be a slaughter.

Even the most reliable tank would bankrupt a normal person with it's maintenance requirements. Some of the more interesting prototypes? RIP wallet. Doing a transmission change on a TOG would be devastating, if you could even find the parts. Would probably have to look for similar parts from a train. And don't even get started on fuel and oil costs. Let's just say Izuku's quirk getting rid of these things is for the best. Even if he only uses the tanks for one day.

Bonus Eri?

"Why are some tanks called tankettes?" Eri asks casually.

"Because, during World War One tanks with cannons were called male, while tanks with only machine guns were called female. So, post war, when they made a small tank with only machine guns they called it a tankette. The 'ette' being a common suffix to attach to young female's names endearingly." Izuku explains.

"What's a suffix and what does endearingly mean?" Eri asks.

"A suffix is a part of a word that is attached to the end. Like the 'ed' for past tense in english. Endearingly means to do something in a way that inspires affection, love or kindness."

"Ok, why are they called male and female?" Eri asks.

"The genders are coincidences, named based on the role in a way, the female tank 'escorts' the male tank." Izuku explains, "Ironically, the prototype tank 'Mother', turned out to be a male tank."

"Why would the female tank be the escort?" Eri asks.

"Well, some females of a certain unmentionable profession were called escorts by high society." Izuku answers, only noticing the hole he was digging for himself after he finished.

"What profession." Eri asks.

"An unmentionable one that neither of us are ready to discuss." Izuku answers.

"Then I'll ask someone else." Eri says, turning and walking from the room.

"Eri wait! I'll have Ochako explain!" Izuku shouts, but it was too late.

"Aizawa, what is a female escort?" Eri asks loudly, causing everyone in hearing range to immediately glare at Izuku.

"I could explain, but..." Izuku says, raising his arms into the air. "Oh no." He wails as a Valiant appears in front of him. No escape this time.
