A Quirk of Warships with One for All

The author recommends Gustav Holst's The Planets 'Mars' for this chapter.

Izuku's quirk was already basically unusable, extensive government sponsored testing had concluded the smallest ship he could summon was a WW1 era torpedo boat destroyer. So, to his dismay the chance of him becoming a hero like All Might was unlikely. He was fast tracked into a license though, as his firepower was too much of an asset for the government to ignore.

Izuku ran into All Might one day, after being attacked by a rather impolite slime villain. He asked All Might if he could be a normal hero despite his rather unusual quirk and All Might said "No, but your restraint against this villain is appreciated."

Later that day Izuku saved some poor girl that the slime villain had caught after All Might dropped him and All Might decided to make Izuku his successor. That brings us to UA's entrance exam, where a nervous Izuku stands at the back of his area's pack and readies his quirk. While he had One for All to fall back on, he would rather blow these robots to bits with gunfire, as he was an excellent shot, even with the rather inaccurate guns he tended to summon. Not that battleship caliber guns need to hit particularly close to a target to take it out.

So Izuku raises his hands to the air after ensuring no one was in the landing area in front of him. Unfortunately for Izuku, he didn't hear the familiar clang of a metal warship settling on asphalt. In fact he didn't hear anything, so he opened his eyes and immediately fell over in shock.

Long dark tendrils of shadow energy cloaked in emerald lightning were leaving his feet and rising high into the sky, forming a massive wormhole-like portal.

'Oh please just be an airship.' Izuku thinks as the many other test takers get over their shock and race into the test site.

A nearly kilometer tall prow exits the gigantic portal with a bulbous area at the top.

'I don't know what it is but it's very tall." Izuku thinks, believing that was the entirety of his summon. Unfortunately the ship continued, with a triangular ship extending from the top bulb and a flat area retracting into the triangular hull. The ship just kept coming and coming to the point that the entire testing area, and a not insignificant portion of the city was covered before the glow of six massive red engines finally marked the stern of this colossal vessel.

The 17.5 kilometer wedge shaped ship causes emergency lines across the city to be flooded as the military scrambled jets and top heroes to be called. Including All Might, who had seen the whole thing and was trying to explain the situation to both the police and the other heroes in the exam room.

The ship itself responds to Izuku's mental will to destroy robots and quickly begins bombarding his and every other testing area, as they are all in range. This breaks any and all records in seconds and eliminates every bot within a few minutes, well before Izuku manages to process what happened.

As the zero pointers are released, they too barely last the time it takes to appear.

"Is that an Eclipse I class star dreadnought hovering over UA?" Nejire asks Yuyu as they enjoy a few pastries at a roadside cafe.

"Nope, that's a hallucination" Yuyu says after taking a quick look, potentially saving the planet from a curious Nejire wondering what this button does.

In the end the test was scored as is and All Might was nearly caned to death by Recovery Girl once she learned why this happened.

AN: This has been on my mind for a while, and what better than the new year to show it off so to speak.

Perhaps a ship related bonus Eri?

It was the end of a wonderful year and Izuku had volunteered some midnight excitement. He got rather lucky and rolled a South Dakota Class Battleship and filled the skies with beautiful colored star shells from her five inch battery.

Eri could only look with eyes wide and a smile on her face as the pretty colors lit up the skies.

AN: While I hope to write a bit more before the end of the year, I'll wish everyone a good one here. Writing has been a bright spot for me this year as it was last year. Thanks for all the positive and constructive comments and thanks to the lurkers and the quiet ones, and all those inspired to take the plunge and write.
